Nellie Mable Powers
The funeral for Nellie Mable Powers will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Memory Gardens Mortuary, Medford. A graveside service will follow in Memory Gardens Memorial Park. Rev. Earl Best of Jacksonville will officiate.
Mrs. Powers, 97, of Medford, died Wednesday (Feb. 21, 2001) at her home.
Memorial contributions may be made to any charity.
Mrs. Powers was born Nellie Mable Voorhees on Aug. 17, 1903, in Tulsa, Okla.
On June 8, 1923, in Modesto, Calif., she married Ashley S. Powers, who died in 1987. She moved to the Rogue Valley 50 years ago from San Mateo, Calif.
Mrs. Powers was a survivor of the 1906 San Francisco Earthquake. She graduated from Heald Business School in 1922.
She was a member of the Church of Christ in Stockton, Calif., and a charter member of Applegate Community Church.
Mrs. Powers owned Nellie’s Needle Art Shop, taught macramé, was an expert in needle arts, and drew plans for her husband’s construction firm.
Survivors include two sons, Richard, Medford, and Clifford "Bud, " Sacramento, Calif.; two daughters, Geraldine Aday, Sams Valley, and Scharlene McGrath, Talent; two brothers, Fred Voorhees, Clear Lake, Calif., and Roy Voorhees, Yucca Valley, Calif.; two sisters, Gertrude Fuenavold and Hazel Lee, both California; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, three sisters and two grandsons.
Friends may pay their respects from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at Memory Gardens Mortuary, Medford.
‘Dee Dee’ R. Holloway
The funeral for Dolores "Dee Dee" R. Holloway will be at 3 p.m. Friday at England’s Eugene Memorial Chapel. A reception will follow in England’s Hospitality Room. Private interment will be in Sunset Hills Memorial Gardens, Eugene.
Mrs. Holloway, 66, of Eugene, formerly of Medford, died Tuesday (Feb. 20, 2001).

She was born Jan. 10, 1935, in Medford, a daughter of Charles and Isabelle (James) Clark. She lived in Medford until 1957, and graduated from Medford Senior High School in 1953. On Oct. 8, 1954, in Reno, Nev., she married Floyd Holloway, who survives. They moved to Bandon in 1957, and to Eugene in 1965.
Mrs. Holloway was a day-care provider. She also worked at the University of Oregon football games.
She was a member of the Eugene Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and Women’s Bowling Association.
Mrs. Holloway was an avid Duck fan, and enjoyed gardening, flowers, bowling and children.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two sons, John R., and Mark, both Eugene; her mother, Isabelle Stelle, Medford; three brothers, Frank Clark, San Diego, and Albert Clark and John Stelle Jr., both Medford; a sister, Jean Herrman, Portland; and two grandchildren.

Laura Marie Ingram
The memorial service for Laura Marie Ingram will be at 2 p.m. March 18, at the Red Lion Hotel in Medford.
Ms. Ingram, 30, of Canby, died Feb. 16, 2001, in Canby.

She was born Aug. 5, 1970, in Portland, the daughter of Dr. Gary and Nancy Ingram. She graduated from Phoenix High School in 1988, received a bachelor’s degree in entomology in 1992 from the University of Maryland, and a RPH in pharmacy from Oregon State University in 2000.
On Dec. 23, 1992, in Medford, she married Malcolm Vuksich, who survives.
Ms. Ingram was a pharmacist. She lived in the Rogue Valley, near Phoenix, from 1976 to 1989.
She enjoyed cross stitch and quilting.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include her father, Dr. Gary Ingram, Medford; her mother, Nancy Ingram, Medford; a brother, Richard Ingram, Bend; and her grandparents, Dr. Jack Ingram, Medford, Minnie Ingram, Medford, and Reginald Cole, Portland.

Raymond A. Clark
The memorial service for Raymond A. Clark will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Chaplain Embert Smalley will officiate.
Mr. Clark, 74, of Medford, died Tuesday (Feb. 20, 2001) at his home.
He was born July 6, 1926, in Kansas City, Mo., a son of Marshall and Effie (White) Clark. On Feb. 18, 1950, in Salzburg, Austria, he married Franziska Wieser, who survives.
Mr. Clark served in the U.S. Army as a sergeant first class (E7), retiring in 1972. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1984 from Frankfurt, Germany.
He enjoyed hunting, woodworking, traveling, and spending time with his family.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Christian, Long Island, N.Y.; a daughter, Andrea Mobley, Medford; a brother, LeRoy, Independence, Mo.; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Jean Courtney and Harriet Mommertz.

Brian Eugene Jacobsen
The memorial service for Brian Eugene Jacobsen will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Grants Pass. Pastor Steven Stork will officiate.
Mr. Jacobsen, 34, of Grants Pass, died Wednesday (Feb. 21, 2001) at Three Rivers Community Hospital, Dimmick Campus, Grants Pass.

He was born June 16, 1966, in Grants Pass.
Mr. Jacobsen was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and Stepping Stone II.
He enjoyed camping, visits to parks and visiting friends.
Survivors include his parents, DeVerne and Gwen Jacobsen, Grants Pass; and two brothers, Eric D., Bellevue, Wash., and Dana A., Boise, Idaho.

E. Eileen Adams
E. Eileen Adams, 70, of Medford, died Wednesday (Feb. 21, 2001) at her home. No service is planned.

She was born May 8, 1930, in Lucas, Kan., the daughter of George and Elsie Stout. On July 19, 1947, in Medford, she married Monroe McGonagle, who preceded her in death. In 1974, in Medford, she married George Ross Adams, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Adams was a homemaker. She lived in the Rogue Valley all her life.
She was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Dwight McGonagle, Yakima, Wash.; three stepdaughters, Nancy Adams Payton, Trail, Joy Adams Bodell, Ojai, Calif., and Tudy cq Adams Maddox, Ashland; a brother, George Stout, White City; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandchild.

Evelyn June Waldron
Evelyn June Waldron, 72, of Talent, died Wednesday (Feb. 21, 2001) at her home. No service is planned. Inurnment will be at Eagle Point National Cemetery.

She was born July 30, 1928, in Gasburg. On Oct. 28, 1974, in Medford, she married Robert Waldron, who died in 2000. She lived in the Rogue Valley all her life.
Mrs. Waldron enjoyed her grandchildren, country rides, shopping and trips to the coast.
Survivors include a son, Robert Lee, Medford; two daughters, Anna Gilliam, Talent, and Rebecca Shilts, Medford; an adopted daughter, Vicky Shilts, Talent; two brothers, Ralph Moore, Springfield, Ill., and Robert Moore, Glendale, Ariz.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Leona S. Tycksen
The funeral service for Leona S. Tycksen will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Talent Friends Church. Pastor David Howell will officiate.
Mrs. Tycksen, 85, of Talent, died Thursday (Feb. 22, 2001) at Ashland Community Hospital.

She was born Sept. 23, 1915, in Clayton, N.M. On Dec. 9, 1933, in Bayfield, Colo., she married Nute E. Tycksen, who died in 1990. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1945 from Eugene.
Mrs. Tycksen worked for Bagley Canning Co. in Ashland for 22 years, and for Sabroso Canning Co. for eight years, retiring in 1978. She also worked for the Rogue Valley Country Club for six years.
She was a member of the Talent Friends Church, and was active in the Missionary Women’s Organization of the Friends Church (FMFW). She was also a member and past commander of the Navy Mothers Club No. 46, and was a member of Talent Senior Citizens.
Survivors include six sons, Earl, Newburg, Lyio, Grants Pass, Frank, Klamath Falls, Fred and Kenneth, both Talent, and Leslie, Knob Noster, Mo.; a daughter, Inez Dooney, Lynwood, Wash.; three brothers, Doyle Sartain, San Pedro, Calif., R.C. Sartain, Grand Junction, Colo., and Vurl Sartain, Bend; two sisters, Juanita Newberry, Jal, N.M., and Marie Irwin, Modesto, Calif.; 21 grandchildren; and 41 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Glen Wayne; an infant daughter, Elsie Darlene; and seven siblings.
Friends may pay their respects from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at Talent Friends Church.
