Marcia Lamb
The memorial service for Marcia Lamb will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Providence Medford Medical Center Chapel, 1111 Crater Lake Ave., Medford. Chaplain Paul Hagedorn of Providence Hospice will officiate. Inurnment will be at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Mrs. Lamb, 80, of Medford, died Sunday (Feb. 18, 2001) at Providence Medford Medical Center.
She was born July 3, 1920, in Chandler, Ariz., the daughter of John and Carol Keith. On Jan. 17, 1947, in Long Beach, Calif., she married James Lewis Lamb, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1987 from Houston.
Mrs. Lamb enjoyed animals, reading and gardening.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a son, Steven, Medford; a daughter, Christie Dent Lamb, Medford; and her stepfather, Herman D. Crow, in Georgia.

William B. Henderson Jr.
William Butler Henderson Jr., 61, of Castro Valley, Calif., formerly of the Rogue Valley, died Feb. 12, 2001, at his home in Castro Valley. The memorial service was held Feb. 17, at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Hayward, Calif.
Among his survivors are his former wife, Martha Conley, Medford; and nine grandchildren.

Kenneth Earl Peck
The memorial service for Kenneth Earl Peck will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Parkway Christian Center. Pastor Dennis Webber will officiate.
Mr. Peck, 68, of Grants Pass, died Saturday (Feb. 17, 2001) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 12, 1933, in Canoga Park, Calif., and graduated from Canoga Park High School. He married Sema Rappaport. They later divorced.
Mr. Peck owned and operated several large defense machine shops, including Miltronics Aerospace in Chatsworth, Calif. He also designed a complete line of tooling, which was purchased by General Electric in 1979. He began his career as a machinist at Lockheed in Burbank, Calif.
He moved to Grants Pass in 1983, where he married Rachel Pena, who survives. Over the last 18 years, he built, owned and operated Hy-Speed Machining, which serves all of the United States, Mexico and Canada.
Mr. Peck enjoyed bowling, golfing, aviation and bird watching.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Rick Alan, Seattle; two daughters, Kimberlea Peck, Los Angeles, Deborah Schatan, Scotts Valley, Calif.; a brother, Franklin Barnes Peck, Sonora, Calif.; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Jessibel and Iya Bea; and four brothers, Albert Eugene, Raymond E., William Arron and Paul Phillip Peck.

Leon ‘Keith’ Madsen
Leon "Keith" Madsen, 64, of White City, died Sunday (Feb. 18, 2001 at Rogue Valley Medical Center, Medford. A memorial service will be held later in Ames, Iowa.

He was born June 22, 1936, in Belmond, Iowa, a son of Fred and Gladys Madsen. On Feb. 15, 1959, in Alexander, Iowa, he married Judy Kay Larsen, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1998 from Ames, Iowa.
Mr. Madsen was a salesman and circulation manager at the Weekly Shopper, and the circulation manager at the Tribune, both in Ames, Iowa. He served in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1963.
Mr. Madsen enjoyed fishing, whitewater rafting and camping.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three daughters, Sabrina Swenson, Ames, Iowa, and twins, Stacia Madsen, St. Paul, Minn., and Shannon Boyer, Burnsville, Minn.; a brother, Allan, Champagne, Ill.; three sisters, Gloria Layton, White City, Beverly Nutt, Huntsville, Ala., and Marilynn Graham, Houston; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Boyd.

Helen Gauthier
Helen Gauthier, 76, of Grass Valley, formerly of Phoenix, died Feb. 8, 2001, in Grass Valley. No service is planned.

She was born Nov. 18, 1924, in Victor, N.Y., a daughter of Washington and Bernice Ridley. She attended schools in New York before moving to Michigan, where she married Valmore A. Gauthier, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Gauthier worked as a cook at medical facilities in Grass Valley, Calif. In Oregon, she worked in shipping and receiving at Sears in Medford for nine years, retiring in 1991. She lived in Phoenix from 1977 to 1992. After her return to Grass Valley, she worked as a home-care provider for several families.
She attended Bible Study Fellowship and the First Baptist Church of Grass Valley.
Survivors include five sons, Valmore "Chip, " Grass Valley, Calif., Victor, Santa Cruz, Calif.; Allen, Battle Mountain, Nev., Francis, Medford, and Calvin, San Jose, Calif.; three daughters, Pamela Freudenberg, Sunnyvale, Calif., Cynthia Scheurn, El Cajon, Calif., and Angela Gauthier, Colorado Springs, Colo.; two brothers, Frank Ridley, Hemet, and Jay Ridley, Knox, Ind.; a sister, Beatrice Anderson, Penfield, N.Y.; 16 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Aldric.

Darrell Lynn Cameron
Darrell Lynn Cameron, 50, of Roseburg, formerly of Medford, died Thursday (Feb. 15, 2001) at Roseburg Veterans Affairs Hospital. No service is planned.

He was born Aug. 17, 1950, in Wichita, Kan. On Sept. 7, 1998, in Ashland, he married Deborah Keeton, who survives.
Mr. Cameron was a welder. He lived in Medford for four years.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1974 with the 82nd Airborne Division and the Green Beret Special Forces.
Mr. Cameron enjoyed oil painting and car models.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, Shawn and Sean; his parents, James and Wanda Cameron, Everett, Wash.; a brother, Galen, Marysville, Wash.; and two grandchildren.

William J. Custer
The memorial service for William J. Custer will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Chaplain Paul Hagedorn will officiate.
Mr. Custer, 72, of Central Point, died Friday (Feb. 16, 2001) at his home.

He was born April 12, 1928, in Bonanza, a son of Richard and Mable (Morgan) Custer. On April 10, 1953, in Klamath Falls, he married Leah I. Dye, who survives. They moved to Coquille from Bonanza, and to Central Point in 1959.
Mr. Custer worked for Georgia Pacific in Coquille, then owned Pat’s T.V. in Central Point until his retirement in 1977.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1948 to 1952, and received the U.N. and Korean Ribbons and the Japanese Occupation Ribbon.
Mr. Custer enjoyed gardening and bowling and had sponsored a bowling team.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three daughters, Gail Denise Bailey and Cynthia Kay Custer, both Central Point, and Leslie Lynn Custer, Medford; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard B.; and three sisters, Bethal VanOttingham, Margaret M. Fields, and Louise E. Custer.

Lucile J. Owens
Lucile J. Owens, 89, of Medford, died Monday (Feb. 19, 2001) at her home. No service is planned.

She was born Lucile Lott on June 27, 1911, in Pocatello, Idaho. She graduated from the University of California, Berkeley. On March 7, 1934, in Oakland, Calif., she married Morgan C. Owens, who died in 1978.
Mrs. Owens was a probation officer for Alameda County in California. She was an avid reader and enjoyed walking, playing bridge and traveling.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
