Dorothy Garrison Hutton
Friends and family will gather to honor Dorothy Garrison Hutton from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday at the Conger-Morris Funeral Home, 715 W. Main St., Medford.
Private interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Medford.
Mrs. Hutton, 60, died Thursday (March 1, 2001) at her home.
She was born Dorothy Jane Garrison on April 20, 1940, in Medford to Oakie and Bernice Garrison.
She lived in the Rogue Valley all her life.
She married David Hutton in August 1956 in Happy Camp, Calif. He preceded her in death in 1972.
She worked in the office of Sears for many years before retiring in 1995. Her hobbies included handstitching quilts, gardening, bird watching and entering sweepstakes.
She is survived by three daughters, Helen Ashley of Citrus Heights, Calif., Linda Whisenhunt of Medford, and Nancy Johnson of Central Point; one brother, Robert Garrison of Medford; one sister, Diane Tharp of Eagle Point; and eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Laurence ‘Larry’ Martin
The graveside service for Laurence "Larry" D. Martin will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Eagle Point National Cemetery. The American Legion Honor Guard will officiate.
Mr. Martin, 68, of White City, died Thursday (March 1, 2001) at his home.

He was born Sept. 25, 1932, in St. Paul, Minn., the son of Anton and Dorothy Martin. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1982 from Santa Maria, Calif.
Mr. Martin was a technician at Xerox for many years before retiring.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Mr. Martin enjoyed carpentry, traveling and hang gliding.
Survivors include his companion, Shirley McKenzie, White City; a daughter, Denise M. Martin, White City; a son, Jeffrey D., Missoula, Mont.; and two grandchildren.

Marvin Edward McCoy
Marvin Edward McCoy, 54, of Jacksonville, died Tuesday (Feb. 27, 2001) at his home. The service has been held. Interment will be in Eagle Point National Cemetery.

He was born Jan. 1, 1947, in Long Beach, Calif., a son of Robert and Louisa McCoy. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1975 from Los Angeles, and graduated in 1985 from what is now known as Southern Oregon University.
Mr. McCoy was a published songwriter, and was a member of the Screen Actors Guild.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
Mr. McCoy enjoyed reading.
Survivors include four brothers, Michael, Central Point, Raymond, Portland, Robert, Endicott, Wash., and James, Mexico City; two sisters, Margie McCoy, Seattle, and Connie Curry, Houston.

Lloyd David Garner
Lloyd David Garner, 77, of North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, formerly of the Rogue Valley, died Feb. 24, 2001, in North Vancouver. No service is planned.

He was born March 25, 1923, in Ganges, British Columbia. He lived in Eagle Point and Medford from 1982 to 1995.
Mr. Garner was retired. He was a member of the Medford Alano Club.
He enjoyed flying.
Survivors include four sons, Richard, the Philippines, Mark, North Vancouver, British Columbia, Lyle, Los Angeles, and Brad, Palm Springs, Calif.; a daughter, Mary Lynn, Los Angeles; a brother, Al Garner, Nanaimo, British Columbia; a sister, Edith, Victoria, British Columbia; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

William Edwin Caldwell
The graveside service for William Edwin Caldwell will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Memory Gardens Memorial Park, Medford. The Rev. Paul McQueen of Phoenix Presbyterian Church will officiate.
Mr. Caldwell, 84, formerly of Phoenix, died Wednesday (Feb. 28, 2001) at King City Rehabilitation in Tigard.
He was born Nov. 23, 1916, in Culver, Kan. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1937 from Kansas. On Nov. 23, 1973, in Phoenix, he married Poppy E., who survives. They moved to Tigard two years ago.
Mr. Caldwell was a machine operator at Medford Molding in White City for many years until his retirement.
He was a former member of the Phoenix Presbyterian Church where he had served as a deacon.
Mr. Caldwell enjoyed gardening.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include five stepdaughters, Chris Netherland, Medford, Sonja Bell, Milwaukie, Jan Fry, Tigard, Eugenie Holt, Bellevue, Wash., and Charlotte Vermeulen, Sacramento, Calif.; a sister, Neva Marsh, Medford; and numerous step-grandchildren, and step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Lewis; and a sister, Wilma Root.

Dorothy J. Feris-Jewett
Dorothy Jean Feris-Jewett, 76, of Jacksonville, died Monday (Feb. 26, 2001) in Jacksonville. Private inurnment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Medford.

She was born May 5, 1924, in Portland, the daughter of Edward and Tressie (Newman) McKay. She had lived in the Southern Oregon area since 1941.
Mrs. Feris-Jewett worked in the housekeeping department at Sacred Heart/Providence Hospital for 20 years.
She was a member of the Eagles Lodge, Moose Lodge, Elks Lodge Ladies Auxiliary and the Emblem Club.
Mrs. Feris-Jewett enjoyed sewing and traveling.
Survivors include two sons, Phillip C. Stevens, Eagle Point, and Randall K. Stevens, Jacksonville; a daughter, Kristi J. Steinkamp, in Maryland; two sisters, Jerry McKay, Scottsdale, Ariz., and Joanne Martinez, Los Angeles; a brother, Oscar Privette, Central Point; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three husbands, Johnnie L. Stevens, Les Feris, and Alan H. Jewett.
