Ada Alaine Shough
The graveside service for Ada Alaine Shough will be at 2 p.m. Friday at The Dalles Parklawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Shough, 73, of Tygh Valley, formerly of Trail, died Monday (March 5, 2001) at Mid Columbia Medical Center.

She was born Ada Alaine Cooper on Oct. 2, 1927, in Klamath Falls, a daughter of Charles Russell and Ada Lillian (Craig) Cooper. She grew up in Trail.
After World War II, she married William Michael Shough, who preceded her in death. In 1940 she moved to the Dufur area, and in the 1950s she moved to Tygh Valley.
Mrs. Shough was a member of the Tygh Valley United Methodist Church and the VFW.
She worked in park maintenance for the U.S. Forest Service in Bear Springs Ranger District.
Mrs. Shough enjoyed family gatherings, the outdoors, especially the desert, camping, and American Indian culture.
Survivors include three sons, Al and William, both of Portland, Donald, Dufur; a daughter, Barbara Ann Mann, Dufur; four brothers, Melvin, Portland, Wayne, Salem, Aldon, Klamath Falls and Darrell, Christmas Valley; three sisters, Viola Glover, Medford, Vernita Hixson, Trail, and Shirley Parkman, Hesperia, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grand children. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Leroy and Neil.

Roger Blaine Twedell
The funeral for Roger Blaine Twedell will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Assembly of God Church, Medford. Pastor William Turnbull will officiate.
Mr. Twedell, 58, of Medford, died Monday (March 5, 2001) at his home.
He was born on Feb. 11, 1943, in Medford, a son of Ross and Ruby Keener Twedell. He was raised in Medford and moved to San Diego from 1960 to 1971. In 1971, he moved back to Medford. On Nov. 10, 1963, in Inglewood, Calif., he married Virginia Decker, who survives.
Mr. Twedell served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1960 to 1964.
He worked as a mechanic in Torrance, Calif., and owned Twedell Automotive/Towing from 1971 to 2001.
Mr. Twedell was a member of the Southern Oregon Towing Association.
He enjoyed flying his airplane, golf, motorcycles and hunting.
Survivors in addition to his wife include two sons, Jared, Medford, and Jason, Declo, Idaho; a daughter, Tina Twedell, Medford; a brother, Rodney, Orofino, Idaho; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Rosalie.
Friends may pay their respects from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Central Valley Cremation & Funeral Care, Central Point.
Joseph Lee Geisler
Joseph Lee Geisler, 53, of Rogue River, died Friday (Feb. 23, 2001) at Three Rivers Community Hospital’s Dimmick Campus. A private service was held.
He was born Aug. 27, 1947, in Inglewood, Calif. He moved to Rogue River in 1992 from Southern California.
Mr. Geisler was a member of the Good Sam RV Club.
He worked as a diesel mechanic for Iron Horse Trucking, and worked as a driller in the fields of Southern California for 18 years. He worked as a bartender at Cattlemen’s Saloon and as a handyman at the Homestead Restaurant and Lounge in Rogue River.
Mr. Geisler enjoyed working on vehicles and helping people.
Survivors include his companion of 21 years, Debora Killian, Rogue River; two daughters Patricia Ann Geisler and Barbara Marie Geisler; a stepson, Christopher Killian, Portland; a stepdaughter, Annette Killian, Riverside, Calif.; a sister, Susan Norris, Rogue River; a nephew and two nieces.

Greta Church
The graveside service for Greta Church will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Pastor Dick Kelso of Rogue Community Church will officiate.
Mrs. Church, 89, of Rogue River, died Sunday (March 4, 2001) at her home.
She was born Greta Flaming, on Sept. 6, 1911, in Nakusp, British Columbia, Canada, a daughter of John and Margaretta Flaming.
On Nov. 8, 1945, in Los Angeles she married Thomas E. Church, who died in 1993. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1974 from California.
Mrs. Church was a homemaker.
She enjoyed raising birds and gardening.
Survivors include a son, Richard, Rogue River; a daughter, Sharon Church, Rogue River; a brother, Jacob, Salem; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, John, and a sister, Esther Burnham.

Roberta K. Reneau
The funeral service for Roberta Kay Reneau, former Mail Tribune reporter and copy editor, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Siskiyou Memorial Park in Medford. David Humphreys of the Phoenix Church of Christ will officiate. Following the service, a no-host reception will be held at J.J. North’s Grand Buffet in Medford.
Mrs. Reneau, 57, of Phoenix, died Feb. 26, 2001, in Henderson, Nev.

She was born June 4, 1943, in McMinnville, the daughter of Dale and Velda Stephenson. She moved to Grants Pass in 1950. She graduated from Grants Pass High School in 1961, where she was co-editor of the school paper.
She next graduated from Pacific University in 1965, and was editor of the university newspaper during her senior year.
On Feb. 9, 1974, in Reno, Nev., she married Ronald R. Reneau, who survives.
Mrs. Reneau was a reporter for the Mail Tribune from 1965 to 1978. She covered Medford city government for much of that time, later serving as a copy editor handling wire service news.
While at the Mail Tribune, she was a member of Oregon Press Women for 2˝ years and edited its monthly publication. She was also a member of the Mail Tribune’s women’s bowling team.
After leaving the Mail Tribune, she owned and operated the Golden Thistle crafts store in Phoenix, worked as a floral designer for two local floral shops, and then for nine years operated her own dried flower mail-order business. She also served as a counselor for high school students seeking college grants and scholarships.
She enjoyed travel, camping, fishing and gardening.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a son, Thomas, Sioux Falls, S.D.; her mother, Velda Stephenson, Grants Pass; two brothers, Gordon Stephenson, Grants Pass, and Roger Stephenson, Fairbanks, Alaska; and one granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her father, Dale Stephenson.

Violet Rogers
Violet Rogers, 85, of Ashland, died Sunday (March 4, 2001) at Medford Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. No service is planned.
She was born March 23, 1915, at Malad City, Idaho, the daughter of Daniel and Mary Katherine Larsen Weeks. On Nov. 4, 1933, in Alturas, Calif., she married Almus Rogers, who died in 1995. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1937.
Mrs. Rogers was a homemaker.
She enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardens, family potlucks and outings.
Survivors include two daughters, Bonnie Logan, Talent, Earline Shreeve, Eugene; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one great-grandchild; and 11 brothers and sisters.

David Edwin Burlew
The graveside service for David Edwin Burlew will be at 1 p.m. today at Eagle Point National Cemetery Interment Shelter. Chaplain Paul Hagedorn of Providence Hospice will officiate.
Mr. Burlew, 58, of Montague, Calif., died Saturday (March 3, 2001) at Providence Medford Medical Center.
He was born May 21, 1942, in Elmira, N.Y., a son of Edwin and Esther Burlew. On Nov. 3, 1962, in Breesport, N.Y., he married Wilma Southard, who survives. They moved to the Montague area from Santa Barbara, Calif.
Mr. Burlew was a machinist for Ridal Corp. in Montague, Calif., for 28 years.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
Mr. Burlew was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Yreka, Calif.
He enjoyed horses, his scanner and gambling.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include six sons, Cory, David II, and Aaron, all Montague, Calif., Chris, Yreka, Calif., and David Jr. and Carl both Sacramento, Calif.; two daughters, Trina Spear, Sacramento, Calif., and Trisha Osborn, Mission Viejo, Calif.; two brothers, Gene, Breesport, N.Y., and Ronald, Brooktondale, N.Y; three sisters, Barbara Benjamin, Esther Havens, and Coralie Burlew, all Erin, N.Y.; his father, Edwin L. Burlew, Erin, N.Y.; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Cary.
