Fred McNamer
The funeral service for Fred McNamer will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Memory Gardens Mortuary, Medford. Pastor Stan Johnson of West Main Church of Christ will officiate. The graveside service will follow at Memory Gardens Memorial Park.
Mr. McNamer, 80, of Medford, died Tuesday (April 2, 2001) at his home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Providence Community Health Foundation, Hospice, 1111 Crater Lake Ave., Medford, OR 97504, or to a favorite charity.
He was born Aug. 24, 1920, in Puyallup, Wash. He moved to the Rogue Valley 36 years ago. On Oct. 21, 1989, in Carson City, Nev., he married Pamela J. Elliott, who survives.
Mr. McNamer was a dryer tender for KOGAP, where he worked for 23 years.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II on the USS Bagley, and aboard the USS Hazelwood during the Korean War.
Mr. McNamer was a member of the Eagle and Moose lodges. He coached Little League baseball in Vancouver, Wash.
He enjoyed playing softball, bowling and golf.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three sons, Terry, Medford, Randy, Crescent City, Calif., and Ray, Gasquet, Calif.; two stepsons, Paul Mills, in Arizona, and Doug Rusher, in Arkansas; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters.
Friends may pay their respects from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at Memory Gardens Mortuary, Bellinger and Arnold Lane, Medford.
Ona Wave Moon
A private gathering for Ona Wave Moon will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 14, at Phoenix Pioneer Cemetery. Family and friends will officiate.
Mrs. Moon, 90, of Phoenix, died Friday (March 30, 2001) at Providence Medford Medical Center.

She was born Jan. 3, 1911, in Phoenix, a daughter of Edward and Marie (Fleck) Wilder. In 1948, she married Harold D. Moon, who preceded her in death. She lived in Southern Oregon all her life.
Mrs. Moon was a homemaker, nurse companion, and worked as a pantry chef in the restaurant business for several years.
She enjoyed knitting and sewing, cooking, reading and traveling.
Survivors include three daughters, Tomalena Sweeney, Oakland, Calif., Victoria Fowler, Paradise, Calif., and Chris Moon, Sherwood; a son, Garth Fricke, Camas, Wash; a sister, Eunice Dewees, Monmouth; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Vance.

Lenna E. Wonderly
The memorial service for Lenna Elisabeth Wonderly will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hillcrest Mortuary and Memorial Park, Medford.
Mrs. Wonderly, 89, of Medford, died March 28, 2001, at Waterford at Three Fountains.

She was born Nov. 7, 1911, in Decatur County, Kan., a daughter of Herbie Cotting Watkins and Clara Frances Wyatt. She graduated from Decatur County High School in Oberlin, Kan., in 1929. On June 30, 1937, she married George Kenneth "Ken" Wonderly, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Wonderly was a homemaker.
She was a member of Jackson County ARC and the First Methodist Church Circle Group No. 5.
Survivors include three daughters, Marjorie M. Williamson, Central Point, Karen S. Vosika, Veneta, and Linda J. Wonderly, Medford; a brother, Dean Watkins, Omaha, Neb.; two sisters, Elfie Brown, Oberlin, in Kansas; and June Lafferty, Marion, Neb. She was preceded in death by a son, Gary Dean; two brothers, James Edward "Ed" Watkins, and George A. Watkins; and a sister, Mable C. Watkins.

William ‘Harvey’ Zieber II
The memorial service for William "Harvey" Zieber II will be at 10 a.m. today at Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Chapel, Ashland. Interment will be at Scenic Hills Memorial Park, Ashland.
Mr. Zieber, 90, of Medford, died Saturday (March 31, 2001) at Northridge Center, Medford.
He was born July 4, 1910, in Queen City, Mo., the son of Alva May and William Harvey Zieber. He was raised in Missouri and California, and graduated from San Jose State College. In 1940, in Palo Alto, Calif., he married Frances E. Wright, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Zieber was the first employee hired by Hewlett Packard in 1939. He was an engineer, retiring in 1974 after 35 years.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Palo Alto, Calif., the Good Sam Club and the National Rifle Association. He moved to Medford in 1999.
Mr. Zieber was an avid quilter and produced more than 40 different quilts.
Survivors include a son, William Harvey "Bill" III, Eugene; two daughters, Joan Elizabeth Manly, Jerome, Idaho, and Diana May Nelson, Medford; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Robert Chase Warren
The memorial service for Robert Chase Warren will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Rogue Valley Manor. Don Hildebrand of Medford will officiate.
Mr. Warren, 84, of Medford, died Friday (March 30, 2001) at his home.

He was born Aug. 18, 1916, in Los Angeles. He graduated from the University of Hawaii with a bachelor’s degree from Sugar Tech. On Jan. 10, 1941, in Makawao, Hawaii, he married Charlotte Engle, who survives.
Mr. Warren worked for Dole Food Products Company.
During World War II, he served as a captain with the U.S. Army Engineers in Honolulu.
Mr. Warren was a member and Past Master of Schofield Lodge No. 443 F & AM; was Past Patron of the Order of the Eastern Star No. 6; and was a 32nd-degree member of Scottish Rite, and an Eagle Scout in Oahu, Hawaii.
He enjoyed stamps and theater work.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Robert Frank, Fort Belvoir, Va.; a daughter, Suzanne Hodges, Vancouver, Wash.; two sisters, Peggy Williamson, Medford, and Barbara Middleton, Edgewater, Md.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Richard Olin Warren.

Margaret W. Sabransky
The graveside service for Margaret Wayve Sabransky will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Grants Pass. The Rev. Roger McKay of Williams Community Church will officiate.
Mrs. Sabransky, 84, of Williams, died Saturday (March 31, 2001) at Royal Gardens Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Margaret Pinzon on June 12, 1916, in St. Joseph, Mo. She graduated from Benton High School in St. Joseph, Mo., attended the Kansas City Art Institute and studied art at San Diego City College. She lived most of her life in San Diego. On Oct. 4, 1942, she married Allan Sabransky, who survives. They moved to Williams following his retirement, and lived there for the last 22 years.
Mrs. Sabransky painted portraits in oil and watercolors, as well as still life and landscape paintings. She won many blue ribbons for her work and was a member of the San Diego Art Guild. She was also a homemaker.
She enjoyed trailer camping in the western and Canadian mountains and rockhounding in the southwestern deserts.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a son, William, Rogers, Ark.; a daughter, Natalie Sabransky, Grants Pass; four grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.

Ellinor Donnan
A celebration of the life of Ellinor Donnan will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at the home of her daughter, Claire. Private inurnment will be in Oslo, Norway.
Mrs. Donnan, 77, of Talent, died Monday (April 2, 2001) at her home.

She was born Dec. 22, 1923, in Tromso, Norway. In 1949, in Trinidad, West Indies, she married Stanley Donnan, who died in 1985. They moved to the United States in 1954, and to Ashland in 1974.
Mrs. Donna enjoyed life, travel and the outdoors.
Survivors include two daughters, Mickey Grimm, Punta Gorda, Fla., and Claire Almquist, Talent; a son, Sean, Woodinville, Wash.; a brother, Richard Figenschou, Kongsberg, Norway; and six grandchildren.
