Grace E. Ridge Campbell
The memorial service for Grace E. Ridge Campbell will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Trail Christian Fellowship in Eagle Point. Pastor James W. Gardener will officiate. Inurnment will be in McHenry County Memorial Park in Woodstock, Ill., at a later date.
Mrs. Campbell, 91, of Medford, died April 14, 2001, at Hearthstone.
She was born July 16, 1909, in Boston. She was adopted by Florence M.E. Ridge, a missionary to Guatemala and Mexico, and enjoyed music, painting and poetry as a youth. She graduated from the University of Redlands when she was 20, and taught school prior to her marriage. On June 22, 1938, in Pomona, Calif., she married Ralph Edward Campbell, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Campbell was very involved in her children's education. She also tutored special needs students.
She was an active member of the First Methodist Church of Crystal Lake for 50 years, serving at times as choir director and soloist. She and her husband were both avid readers and members of the "Great Books Club" for many years.
Mrs. Campbell enjoyed listening to sacred music as well as opera and other classical works. She also enjoyed nature and walking up until her 91st birthday.
Survivors include two sons, Russell W., Medford, and Charles Edward, Berkeley, Calif.; a daughter, Jeannette M. Campbell, Pasadena, Calif.; and four grandchildren.

E. Merle Blair
The funeral service for E. Merle Blair will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Memory Gardens Mortuary, Medford. Chaplain John Braund of Rogue Valley Hospice will officiate. The graveside service will follow in Memory Gardens Memorial Park.
Mr. Blair, 78, of Medford, died Thursday (May 3, 2001) at his home.

He was born Dec. 10, 1922, in Barry, Ill., a son of John and Inez (Hull) Blair. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1940 from Phoenix, Ariz., and graduated from Medford High School in 1941. On Feb. 15, 1947, in Medford, he married Dorothy H. Jones, who survives.
Mr. Blair was part-owner and operator of Greatway Properties, LLC of Eagle Point.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Mr. Blair was a member of the Elks Lodge and the Eagles Lodge, both in Medford.
He enjoyed bowling, golf and traveling to Reno.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Johnny L., Central Point; a daughter, Karen Kay Blair, Medford; two brothers, David, Hubbard, and Paul, Anchorage, Alaska; a sister, Imogene "Jean" Muchmore, Mesa, Ariz.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.

L.A. 'Jack' Domis
The memorial service for L.A. "Jack" Domis will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the First Presbyterian Church in Medford. The Rev. John Braund of Rogue Valley Hospice and the Rev. Joyce DeGraaff of the First Presbyterian Church will officiate.
Mr. Domis, 76, of Central Point, died Thursday (May 3, 2001) at his home.

He was born Leighton A. Domis on Dec. 26, 1924, in Chicago. On Aug. 30, 1962, in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad, West Indies, he married Vickie Jonker, who survives.
Mr. Domis worked for American Pipe (Ameron) in Los Angeles as a project manager for 34 years. In Port-of-Spain, Trinidad, West Indies, he worked as a construction superintendent for Lockjoint American. After returning to the states in 1968, he moved to Medford and worked for Tompkins-Johnson Co. in White City and Jackson, Mich. for 18 years as national sales manager and plant manager. He retired in 1986.
During World War II, he served three years as a gunner in the Army Air Corps in the Pacific.
Mr. Domis was a member of the Central Point Rotary.
He enjoyed traveling.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, J, Eagle Point, and Randy, Minot, N.D.; a daughter, Dee Dee Mains, Clovis, Calif.; a sister, LaVerne Gohr, Jacksonville; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.

Edward 'Eddie' Howard
The memorial service for Edward "Eddie" Howard will be at 4 p.m. today at the Salvation Army Chapel, 304 Beatty St., Medford.
Eddie, 7 months, died Friday (May 4, 2001) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

Ted Arthur Roadman
Services for Ted Arthur Roadman will be held Wednesday at Wilson's Chapel of the Roses in Roseburg, with interment at the Roseburg Memorial Gardens. A reception will follow at the Roseburg First Christian Church.
Mr. Roadman, 89, passed away Friday (May 4, 2001) at Farmington Square, a local care facility in Medford.

Ted was born Jan. 31, 1912, in Roseburg, to Arthur and Rosella (Price) Roadman. He attended the day school in Umpqua through eighth grade and went on to graduate from Sutherlin High School. He enrolled at the University of Oregon, graduating with a degree in business.
Ted married Kathryn Hennigh on Sept. 3, 1937. He worked for Union Oil Co. until he moved out to the farm in Umpqua when his father's health failed.
Ted loved to hunt and fish. He was very active in the Oakland Masonic Lodge, where he was a past master and a 50-year member. He was a member of Scottish Rite in Roseburg, the York Rite bodies and the Hillah Shrine Temple. He was also a member of the Oakland chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, where he was a past patron and 50-year member. He went on to attain the position of past grand patron of the Grand Chapter of Oregon in 1969.
He and Kathryn spent much time traveling and belonged to the National Camping Travelers, a Masonic camping group, and the Sojourners Christian Camping group. In later years, he and Kathryn spent many winters in Arizona and had several trips touring the country, including visits to Alaska.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Nelda Sonneborn.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Sharon Malley, Portland, and Joanne Clark, Port Gamble, Wash.; two sons, David, Medford and Ken, Bend; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Vera Christensen
Memorial services for Vera Christensen will be held Monday at 3:30 p.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Medford. The Rev. Alan Jackson of Westminster Presbyterian Church will officiate.
Mrs. Christensen, 88, of Medford, died Friday (May 4, 2001) at her home.

Vera Means was born Sept. 25, 1912, in Carthage, S.D., to Aura and Loren Means. On Aug. 9, 1936, she married H.D. "Chris" Christensen in Yankton, S.D.
Mrs. Christensen graduated from Yankton College in Yankton, S.D. She was a teacher and a partner with her husband in Nu-Way Cleaners. She was tutor and president of the Laubach Literary program, a 50-year member and past president of PEO, a past president of American Field Service and a charter member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Christensen is survived by a son, Dan Christensen, Eugene; two daughters, Judy Manley, Belvedere, Calif., and Jill Andrews, Walnut Creek, Calif.; a brother, George Means, Yankton, S.D.; a sister, Vivian Williams, Redding, Calif.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Christensen was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years and a brother, Mike Means.

Marjorie B. Nunley
Funeral services for Marjorie B. Nunley will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Medford. The Rev. John Scholz will officiate. Committal will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Medford.
Mrs. Nunley, 76, of Medford, died Wednesday (May 2, 2001) in Medford.

Mrs. Nunley was born April 21, 1925, in Belleville, Ill., to the late Alferd and Lillian Boedecker. She was married to Walter Nunley on Dec. 15, 1945, in Huntington, W. Va. She lived in the Rogue Valley since 1950, after moving from Montana.
She attended Illinois State Teacher's College, Business School in Milwaukee, Wis.
Prior to 1950, Mrs. Nunley was secretary for the Alumni Research Foundation, University of Wisconsin; the Veteran's Administration Regional Headquarters; U.S. Forest Service; and the American Red Cross in Missoula, Mont.
Mrs. Nunley was an active member of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod all her life, and St. Peter Lutheran Church at the time of her death. After coming to Medford, she was full-time wife, mother and homemaker.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two sons, David L. Nunley, Chico, and James T. Nunley, Pleasanton, Calif.; five daughters, Elizabeth Branam, Big Fork, Mont., Krista Codington, Grants Pass, Ellen Demarest, Corvallis, Kathryn Carlson, Corvallis, and Sharman Johnson, Medford; and 22 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Brett Frederick Nunley.
