Charles “Chuck” Jennings Hutchinson
Charles “Chuck” Jennings Hutchinson passed away June 14th, 2010 in Forest Grove, Oregon. He was 77. Born August 30th, 1932 in Martinez, California, Charles spent most of his youth in Antioch, CA. He and Sherlyne Hutchinson were joined in marriage on February 22nd, 1957, and in 1959 they moved to Oregon. Charles was a manager for Tektronix, and for a time was self-employed in addition to working for a school district. An active Jehovah’s Witnesses minister for over fifty years, his calling included performing volunteer ministry in public and at local jails. Charles loved spending time with his family, playing with his grandchildren, watching sports, going to the beach–he also appreciated the finer qualities of a really good beer!
Charles is survived by his wife Sherlyne Hutchinson of Forest Grove, OR and by his sons Kim Hutchinson of Hillsboro, OR, Kelly Hutchinson of Vancouver, Canada, Kevin Hutchinson of Portland, OR, Kory Hutchinson of Hillsboro, OR and by his daughter Kathy Plesa of Hillsboro, OR. Charles is further survived by nine grandchildren.
A service for Charles was held on June 21st, 2010 at the Cornelius Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Corinne Vail “Cory” Donovan
Corinne Vail “Cory” Donovan passed away June 14th, 2010 at her home in Canby, Oregon. She was sixty-four years old. Born Corinne Vail Cushing on September 8th, 1945 in Niagara Falls, New York, she lived there and in California until moving to Oregon in 1971. A graduate of La Salle High School and Roberts School of Beauty, Cory went on to further academic studies at Marylhurst College. She and Fred Donovan were married to each other in Santa Ana, California on February 2nd, 1965.
Corinne was a housewife, a beautician and a Litton Guidance and Controls instructor. She enjoyed RV-ing with her husband, sightseeing and shopping, and especially spending time with her family. She attended Canyon Creek Church and Canby Christian Church, and participated in women’s bible study groups.
Corinne is survived by her husband Fred Donovan of Canby, Oregon, and by her four children: sons Rick Donovan of Vancouver, WA, Chris Donovan of Glendale, OR, and Robert Donovan of Arizona and by her daughter Kathy Bossen of Salem, Oregon. She is also survived by two sisters: Jan Miller of Raymond, New Hampshire and Faith Carrera of Cornelius, Oregon. She is further survived by her three daughters-in-law and six grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Corinne at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 22nd at Canby Christian Church, 444 N. Holly St., Canby, Oregon, 97013. Memorial contributions may be made in Corinne’s name to Northwest Cancer Specialists at 19260 SW 65th Avenue #435, Tualatin, Oregon, 97062.

Vivian Jay Kidd
Vivian Jay Kidd passed away at home on June 14, 2010, under Providence Hospice and Palliative care, and with her family, after a two year battle with cancer. She resided in Fairview, Oregon for several decades. Born and raised in Casper and Power River, Wyoming, she married John Allen Kidd of Casper on July 19, 1936. He preceded her in death in 1977. She was the matriarch of a large family that loved her and will miss her very much.
Vivian is survived by her three children: Dora Ellen Nelson of Oregon City, Roberta Mansfield of Troutdale, and Jim Kidd of Fairview; her eight grandchildren: Jim West and Rick West of California, John West, Tina Rosenquist, Chuck Mansfield and Cheryl Bowen, all of Oregon and S.W. Washington, Laura Grisham of North Carolina and Leila Kidd McCann of Florida; her five step-grandchildren: Terry, Jeannie Nancy, Linda and Chris; her twelve great-grandchildren: Michael Rosenquist, Christopher Mansfield, Brandon Mansfield, Natasha Mansfield, Evan Mansfield, Kalin Fraker, Allison West, Kathleen West, Tashney West, Dakota West, Crystal Altemas and Amber Bowen; and 1 great-great-grandchild, Mayzee Phillips. She is also survived by one niece, Betty Jean Kidd Fryefield; her grand nephew David Fryefield and his children; and second cousins Vernena Lewis of Carmichael California, Edna Meachum of Casper, Wyoming, Barbara Pettijohn of Casper, Wyoming and Jonce B. Eccles of Power River, Wyoming.
At Vivian’s request, no services will be held at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Providence Hospice and Palliative Care at 6410 NE Halsey Street, Suite 300, Portland, Oregon 97213. Bode Doiel Moore, Jr.
Bode Doiel Moore, Jr. passed away in Gresham, Oregon on June 13th, 2010. He was fifty-six years of age. Born May 29th, 1954 in Gilroy, California, Bode grew up working on the various California ranches his father Bode Sr. managed. The Moore Family moved to Oregon in 1971, and Bode Jr. went on to graduate from South Umpqua High School in Myrtle Creek. After attending Umpqua Community College he went on to achieve a BA and worked as a therapist for many years. A resident of Clackamas, Bode also found employment in RV manufacturing. A spiritual man, Bode had a special connection with horses, often caring for them when they were boarded at the mission where he worked.
Bode is survived by his sisters Dianna Porter of Myrtle Creek, Oregon and Sharon Koll of Hollister, California. He is further survived by his brother Richard Moore, also of Myrtle Creek, and by his mother Nilene Mark Moore. Bode was preceded in death by his father Bode Doiel Moore, Sr. and by his brother Albert Moore.
No services are scheduled at this time.

Kathleen Marie Stradley
May 25th 1952 – June 11th 2010
Kathleen passed away peacefully at home Friday June 11th after a three year battle with ALS. She was born in Newport Washington to Arthur and Beverly Bergau the second of four children. She is survived by her mother Beverly Bergau, brothers Don and Daniel Bergau, Sister Laura Marshall and her husband David of 23 years. She Graduated from Grand Blanc HS in 1970 then attended the University of Michigan for 3 years. She completed her bachelors degree in English at Portland State in 1986 She married David Stradley after the death of her daughter Anne at age eight in 1987. They moved to John Day Oregon where she taught English and Spanish to High School students for 1 year. She traveled to Mexico in 1988 to participate in a Spanish immersion program for three months. She earned a Masters degree from Portland State in 1991 and then enrolled in graduate school at the University of Oregon in 1992 where she taught for five years in the PHD program. She and her husband started a manufacturing business in Newberg Oregon in 1999 where she worked until March of 2009.
Kathleen was the most honest person I have ever met. People sought her out for advice which she also gave honestly. She loved animals; cats in particular, books, music, hiking, good company and speaking fluent Spanish to whoever would listen. We were all richer for knowing her.
A memorial service will be held at Zoar Lutheran Church in Canby Oregon on June 26th at 3:00 pm. Please send remembrance gifts to the ALS association, Oregon Humane Society or Portland State University Library.
John Andrew Seely
John Andrew Seely, of Portland, Oregon passed away on June 11, 2010 at the age of 46. He was born to David P. Seely and Dorothy M. Hopkins in Nashville, Tennessee on December 12, 1963. He worked as a land surveyor after moving to the Portland area in 2001. John is survived by his significant other, Robin O’Neill; mother Dottie Hopkins; his brother, Mark (Amanda) Seely; his aunt, Lenis Northmore; his uncle, Chris Hopkins; nephews Ashe and Viktor; his niece Jessica; and cousins Jonathan, Angelica, Cliff, Tim and Rob. He was preceded in death by his father, David P. Seely. A small service with family and friends was held at the Crown Memorial Chapel in Milwaukie on Wednesday, June 16th, 2010. Susan Elizabeth Gibson
Susan “Sue” Elizabeth Gibson, of Beavercreek, Oregon, passed away at her home on June 11, 2010 at the age of 52. She was born on December 13, 1957 to Robert and Jacqueline (Kile) Madlem in Portland, Oregon. Susan married Mike Gibson in Oregon City on December 29, 1979. The couple had a total of 5 children together, 3 girls and 2 boys. Susan worked as a secretary and later as a library assistant at the Molalla School District, a position she held for over 10 years. In her spare time, Susan enjoyed camping, reading, traveling and spending time with family. She was also very involved in the school activities and sports teams of her children.
Susan is survived by her husband, Mike Gibson of Beavercreek; daughter, Samantha Gibson, of Beavercreek; son, Charlie Gibson of Prescott, Arizona; daughter, Libby Gibson of Salt Lake City, Utah; son, Joe Gibson of Beavercreek; daughter, Cassie Gibson of Beavercreek; granddaughter, Brooklyn Gibson of Beavercreek and 3 sisters and 4 brothers. She was preceded in death by her father, Bob Madlem, and her mother, Jackie Madlem. A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date. Arrangements by Crown Memorial Center- Milwaukie.
Carole Marie Anderson
May 16, 1964 – June 9, 2010
Carole was born in Portland, OR. After graduating from Sunset High School, she took a position at Beaverton Bakery, where she worked for many years. Carole is survived by her parents, Ron & Shirley Anderson, brother; Brett Anderson and his wife Kelley, nieces and nephews; Paige, Nick, Kayla, and Aaron.
