Joan Ritter-Soule
Joan Ritter-Soule passed away on May 9th, 2010 in Oregon City, Oregon. Joan was born on October 31st, 1949 in Portland, Oregon, where she graduated from Cleveland High School in 1969. She lived for many years on the Oregon coast, including several spent in Brookings. Joan enjoyed people, and worked in a variety of retail positions. She was also a homemaker who was proficient at sewing, cooking and arts & crafts. A lover of the outdoors, she enjoyed taking walks, camping, fishing and going to the beach. Joan was very involved in a number of women’s groups, as well as being a supporter of AA.
married in 1984, Joan was preceded in death in 2003 by her husband Roger Soule. She was also preceded in death by her sister Judy Thomsen and parents Frank & Vivienne Ritter. She is survived by her daughters Sherry Murphy (husband Patrick) and Wendy Marringer, both of Milwaukie, Oregon. She is further survived by her sisters Jane Georgeson (husband Gary) and Jan Ritter of Astoria and Warrenton, Oregon. She was a proud grandmother of three.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Joan at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 13th at Willamette National Cemetery. Arrangements by Crown Memorial Center – Tualatin.
Maureen H. Large
Maureen Large, of Gresham, passed away at her home on May 9, 2010 after a year-and-a-half battle with cancer. Maureen is survived by her significant other, Tom Sage of Gresham; her dog, Boots; her twin sister, Marilyn Fox of Idaho; sister, Dorothy Rose of Brunswick, Georgia; sisters-in-law Samantha Sage of Portland, Oregon, and Joyce Wilson of Vancouver, Washington; and brothers-in-law Jeff Sage of Portland, Oregon and Jacob Sage of Vancouver, Washington. She also leaves behind an assortment of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Maureen enjoyed spending time with family, feeding her wild birds, collecting dolls, Barbara Streisand, playing with her dog, Boots, playing on the computer and tending to her roses.
A Memorial Service was held at the residence of Tom Sage and Maureen Large on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 11:00 am.

Jennie Lou Moore
May 17, 1931 – May 7, 2010
Jennie Lou Moore, of Oregon City, Oregon, passed away at her home on May 7, 2010, at the age of 78. Jennie was born to Everett Noel and Ruth (Crowell) McGlasson in Mulkeytown, Illinois on May 17, 1931. She grew up in Los Angeles, California and moved to Oregon in 1969 after graduating Venice High School in Venice, California. She was married to Jack Louis Moore and she enjoyed gardening, reading, old movies and puzzles.
Jennie was a past guardian of Gladstone Bethel 57 Job’s Daughters, member of First Church of Christ Scientist since l962 and past den mother for the Cub Scouts in Lomita, California.
Jennie is survived by sons Paul Graeff, John Moore, Jeff Moore, and Rolland Moore, and daughter Joyce Moore Longstaff as well as 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband Jack Louis Moore. There will be a private family gathering at a later date. Arrangements by Emily’s Cremation & Burial.
Thomas Meyer

Thomas was born in Laramie, Wyoming to Thomas Elbert Puckett Jr. and Lea~retta Belle Hitzeman. Tom lived in 44 of the 48 continental states while his dad worked on the pipeline. Thomas joined the United States Air Force in 1961, during the Vietnam era. Tom moved to Salem in December of 1967, where he met his loving wife Linda L. Burns. They met in February, dated in March, engaged in April and were married on May 31, 1968. They shared almost 42 loving years together. Thomas and Linda retired in Prineville, Oregon in 2006.
He is survived by his wife and four children. Two daughters; Jodie Leanne Meyer, of Norman, Oklahoma and Melissa Kay Roberts, of Salem, Oregon Two sons; Walter John Meyer and Michael Thomas Meyer both of Prineville, Oregon. Nineteen grandchildren and four great~grandchildren. Two brothers Larry Lee Meyer of Prumff, Nevada and Rod Eugene Meyer of Yuma, Arizona. His father, mother and younger sister preceded him in death. His favorite verse was Psalms 23.

Angela Kathleen Haven
Angela Kathleen Haven passed away on May 7th, 2010 in Seattle, Washington. Born May 11th, 1979 in Portland, Oregon, she was raised primarily in Aloha, where she attended Aloha High School. A homemaker, she loved camping and fishing.
Angela is survived by her son Ezahiah Haven of Tigard, OR, daughter Brianna Haven of Tigard, OR, and daughters Patience and Gladys Haven, both of Seattle, WA. She is also survived by her father John Haven of Sherwood, OR; mother Teresa Murphy of Tigard, OR; brother Kenneth Haven of Vancouver, WA, sister Felicia Haven of Sacramento, CA and her grandmother Kathleen Fleming of Tigard, OR.
A memorial service for Angela will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Crown Memorial Center – Tualatin.
Mervin D. Boen
Mervin D. Boen, born in 1965 in Modesto, Ca. lost his battle with cancer in Gervais, Oregon on May 6th 2010 at the age of 45. He was survived by his parents Carl & Virginia Boen, and sisters Kim Boen & Kristen Whiteley, and his brothers Raymond Boen & Richard Nelson, There will be a small memorial service at River of Life Church located at 405 Warner Parrot Rd. in Oregon City, Ore. 97045 on Sunday May 16th at 2pm. Michael Ward Stevens
Michael Stevens of WestLinn, passed away May 6, 2010 at the age of 68 in Portland, OR. He was born in Oregon City on March 18, 1942 and has spent his life in Oregon. He served in the US Navy and worked as a construction contractor and manager of UPS. In 1965 he married his spouse Jean and together they raised 3 sons.
Michael is survived by his spouse, Jean of West Linn; sons Taude (Chris) of Lake Tahoe, Andy and David both of Oregon City; and grandsons Zachery and Adam. A celebration of Life will be held June 19 at 3:00 p.m. in Oregon City, OR. Arrangements by Crown Memorial Center – Milwaukie.
Robert C. Cameron
Robert passed away May 6, 2010 in Portland, OR. He was the son of Clinton and Ethel Schaeffer Cameron, born December 30, 1921 in Salem, OR. He attended Highland Elementary, Parrish Jr. High and graduated from North Salem High School.
After High School, Robert joined the US army in 1940, where he served in WWII Third Infantry Division and saw battle in Germany during WWII. He worked a number of years at City Center Parking and he was a lifelong member of the Milwaukie Elks.
Robert is survived by his spouse of 63 years, Nadine; son Mark (Nancy) Cameron; 3 grandsons, Robert II (Mandy), Jeffrey (Jaime), Ryan (Brittany); 6 great-grandchildren; sister Marjorie Cameron; several cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter in Feb. 2010.
A graveside service will be held Friday, May 14, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. at Willamette National Cemetery. Arrangements by Crown Memorial Center – Milwaukie.
Shannon Kay Giltner
June 26, 1939 – May 5, 2010
Shannon Kay Giltner, of Portland, Oregon, passed away on May 5, 2010, at the age of 70. Shannon was born to George and Ruth (Birch) Sullivan in Wenatchee, Washington, on June 26, 1939. She moved with her family to Oregon when she was nine years old and graduated West Linn High School before marrying Clarence V. Giltner. For many years Shannon worked as a seamstress at White Stag making tents and sleeping bags, then she went to work at Sign-Up. She enjoyed playing bingo, going camping and spending time with her family and going for drives in the car. Shannon will be remembered for being a best friend and the best Mom, having cared for her friends and family with all her heart – a very giving Mom and friend.
Shannon is survived by her daughter Colleen Coultas, granddaughter Tammy Sterba, grandson Zac Coultas, two great grandchildren, sister-in-law Gerry Sullivan, and many relatives who loved her dearly. She is predeceased by her husband, her parents George and Ruth Sullivan and her brother Wendel Sullivan. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the family home in Portland.
