Kenny V. Raty
Kenny Vincent Raty, a native of Portland, Oregon, passed away in his native city on April 8th, 2010 at the age of 42. Kenny was born July 23, 1967 and later worked as an Auto Mechanic. He is survived by his mother Marjie Bates and brother Gary Raty, and by his sisters Linda Bossingham, Marisa El-irtaimeh, Rhonda Raty and Rosemary Raty.

Timothy D. Boyle
Timothy D. Boyle, 56, passed away on April 14, 2010 in Beaverton. His death was sudden and unexpected. He was a loving, sweet, complicated, yet simple man. His daily presence, insight, humor and smile will be greatly missed.
Timothy was born to John and Virginia Boyle on June 6, 1953 in Sandpoint, Idaho. He was primarily raised in Cedar Mill and attended Cedar Mill Grade School, Cedar Park Middle School and graduated from Sunset High School in 1971. Timothy’s career was in automobile restoration and was a golfer, fisherman, woodworker and writer. He was the author of “An Ordinary American Boy”, the story of his father’s WWII service in the South Pacific. In his book, he wrote about the memories that his father shared with him as a child; Timothy wanted to get out the story of his father, and of World War II and a generation that changed the country, as Timothy put it. Timothy’s survivors include his wife of 30 years, Kurt Boyle of Beaverton; mother Virginia Jones of Sagle, ID; brothers Michael Boyle of Portland, and Richard Boyle and Douglas Harvey of Beaverton; sister Jennifer May (Boyle) of Snohomish, WA; sister-in-law Peggy Boyle of Beaverton; nephews, John, Chris, Philip, Kevin, Hayden, Hans, Blaine; nieces, Jennifer, Helen, Hannah; Aunt Ruthie and uncle Hans. He is preceded in death by his father John E. Boyle.
In memory of Timothy, donations may be sent to the Shriners’ Hospital or to Bonnie Hays Animal Shelter.

Stanley W. Peterson
June 10, 1915 – April 12, 2010
Stanley W. Peterson, of Milwaukie, Oregon, passed away on April 12, 2010, at the age of 94. Stanley was born to Carl Oscar and Jennie Emelia (Johnson) Peterson in Portland, Oregon, on June 10, 1915. On December 30, 1941, he married Anne Waha Peterson, his wife of 60 years, who predeceased him. They had two children: Stan Peterson, Jr. of Oakland, CA, and Maryanne (Ron) Latham of Eugene, OR. He is also survived by a niece, Sharon Cantrill of Vaughn, WA, sister-in-law Elizabeth Waha of Portland, OR, his companion Lucille Brundage, of Portland, OR and his faithful dog, Lily. Stanley is also survived by four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Stanley was primarily raised in Portland and graduated Benson High School and Oregon State University. He served in the US Navy in American Samoa during WWII.
Stanley was an engineer for Pacific Northwest Bell for 30 years with previous employment with Chevron Oil. He enjoyed restoring antique Fords, Auto Swap Meets, car clubs and family camping and fishing. He belonged to the Model T and Model A Car clubs in the Portland area.
Private services will be held. Arrangements were made with Crown Memorial Center at the Milwaukie location.
Melvin Euyless Weldon
Melvin Euyless Weldon passed away April 12, 2010 at the age of 84. Born on February 14, 1926 in Shay (OK) and subsequently raised in Oklahoma, he moved to Arizona as a teenager and graduated from Phoenix Union High School. Melvin married Sue Barrett in 1946.
Melvin attended Abilene Christian College and attained his ministerial degree. Dedicated to ministry and service to his Lord, Melvin led congregations at the Church of Christ in Stevens Point, Wisconsin and in Winslow, Arizona; also serving in California in Richmond, San Leandro, San Francisco and Barstow, and retiring from Longview, WA is 2007. Melvin’s primary focus was on reconciliation and peace, as well as basic bible knowledge.
He enjoyed reading about history, playing golf and tennis, and engaging in personal and family counseling. He was involved with the International Speakers Association and the Bay Area Ministerial Association.
Melvin is survived by his daughters Linda Deuel (Rick) and Debra Weldon, and his son Mark Weldon (Gina). He is also survived by four grandchildren and eight great-grand children. Melvin was preceded in death by his wife Sue Weldon.
A Funeral will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 17th at the Southwest Church of Christ, 9725 SW Durham Road, Tigard, Oregon 97224. Memorial contributions may be sent to Abilene Christian University at 1600 Campus Court, Abilene, TX 79699.

Mildred (Millie) Lucile Bush
Tigard area resident, Mildred (Millie) Lucile Bush passed away on April 12, 2010, the day of her 93rd birthday. Millie was born to Simeon and Catherine Lake in 1917 and was raised in Tampa, Florida. After High School she moved with her family to Miami. On June 3rd, 1939 Millie married Thomas Bush and the couple had two sons, Thomas and Robert. Millie worked as an office manager in banking for many years and was very active in her church, Riverside Baptist, Miami. She loved children and operated the church nursery for several years. Millie was a very crafty woman enjoying quilting and crocheting, and along with her sister, she made quilts and tablecloths for each of their children and grandchildren.
Thomas Bush Sr. passed away in 1963 and Millie moved to Oregon to be near her son Tom and his family in 1990. Millie soon became a regular member at the Tigard United Methodist Church and to stay active, she participated in their ladies exercise group. She was also an avid reader and became part of a book group.
Millie is survived by her son Thomas Bush Jr. and his wife Mary, son Robert Bush and his wife Linda; niece Lucile Thibault; sister Frances Bush; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Millie’s Life of 93 years will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, April 16th at the Tigard United Methodist Church. Memorial donations may be sent to the United Methodist Women’s Group in Tigard. Arrangements by Crown Memorial Center – Tualatin.
Lorna Lisbon Palmer

Lorna passed away on Monday, April 12, 2010 in Vancouver, WA. She was born in the northeastern Oregon town of Umatilla December 2, 1957, but grew up in various towns around Oregon & Washington. For work, she was an auto transporter for United Road Service. In 2004, she married David Palmer on her birthday on a chilly December day. Lorna loved gardening but was passionate about animals; all kinds of animal. One could even call her an animal advocate; if she saw that an animal had been mistreated she raised ‘holy you know what’.
Lorna is survived by her loving husband, David, daughter; Katrina Cook of Portland, son; David Cook of Ontario, OR, and foster folks, Diane & Dan of Redland, OR. Instead of flowers, please give a monetary gift in her name to the Humane Society in your area. Arrangements were by Crown Memorial Center in Portland.
