Harris Richard Zeff
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 3, 2001, in Sunset Presbyterian Church on Northwest Cornell Road for Harris Richard Zeff, who died April 25 at age 54. Mr. Zeff was born Jan. 26, 1947, in Los Angeles. He received a bachelor's degree from California State University, Northridge. He moved to Portland in 1979. A self-employed financial planner, he operated Harbor Financial for the past 12 years. In 1985, he married
Barbara J. Hibner.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Cody G. and Craig M.; daughters, Courtney T., Kathryn M. and Carrie K.; stepfather, Jack Kotapish; and brothers, Howard and Arnold.

Eugene 'Sonny' Boehle
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2001, in Lincoln Memorial Park for Eugene "Sonny" Boehle, who died April 18 at age 66. Mr. Boehle was born Dec. 2, 1934, in Minneapolis. He moved to Portland at age 8 and graduated from Roosevelt High School. He was a plumber for 35 years, retiring in 1996.
Survivors include his daughter, Shaleen Schroeder; sons, Shaun and Shane; sister, Marilyn Walter; and five grandchildren.

William Ray Davidson
A memorial gathering will be at 2 p.m. Monday, April 23, 2001, in the Portland Meadows Racetrack kitchen for William Ray "Billy" Davidson, who died April 15 at age 69. Mr. Davidson was born Sept. 19, 1931, in Chehalis, Wash. He worked for Alaskan Pipeline and later was an outrider, thoroughbred horse trainer and track superintendent for Portland Meadows for 30 years, retiring in 1980. In 1938, he married
Joan Jensen; she died in 1996.
Survivors include his sons, Kevin J., Bill and Jody; daughter, Teri; sister, Betty Dobler; and five grandchildren.

Laura May Diehl
A memorial service will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 22, 2001, in The Bob Chisholm Community Senior Center in Seaside for Laura May Diehl, who died April 6 at age 78. Mrs. Diehl was born Laura May Oldenburg on May 3, 1922, in Portland. She graduated from Gresham High School. She lived in Portland until 1954. In 1954, she married
Paul Robert Diehl; he died in 1992.
Survivors include her daughters, Susan Filliger and Sandi; sister, Fay Mitchell and brother, Louis Oldenburg.

Richard Dunham
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 22, 2001, in Portland Adventist Medical Center Chapel for Richard Dunham, who died April 5 at age 55. Mr. Dunham was born May 5, 1945, in Seattle and was raised in Newberg. He was a welder and later a long-haul truck driver. He moved to Boring and returned to welding until 1996, when he resumed long-haul driving until retiring last year because of poor health. In 1965, he married
Ruth Chandler; they divorced. In 1974, he married
Helen Jandt; she died in 1994.
Survivors include his fiancee, Linda Miller; daughters, Becky Vickers and Julie Jackson; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Jeanne A. Glaspey
An open house will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, April 22, 2001, at the family residence for Jeanne A. Glaspey, who died April 14 at age 81. Mrs. Glaspey was born Jeanne A. Grey on July 9, 1919, in Alameda, Calif. She served in the U.S. Navy WAVES during World War II. She was a homemaker who lived in Seattle and Yakima before moving in 1960 to West Linn. She was a Camp Fire leader. In 1945, she married
Richard Allen Glaspey; he died in 1972.
Survivors include her daughters, Peg Simons, Polly Glaspey-DuBois and Penny Nash; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Joseph E. Heath
A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, April 23, 2001, in Pegg, Paxson & Springer Chapel for Joseph E. Heath, who died April 16 at age 81. Mr. Heath was born Aug. 20, 1919, in Bristol, Pa. He served in the U.S. Navy for 10 years, including service during World War II in the Pacific. He later moved to Portland and worked in the roofing business for 40 years, retiring as roofing superintendent for Bird & Son Roofing Manufacturing Co. in 1982. In 1940, he married
Norma Ouderkirk.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Joseph R., Daniel E. and Thomas C.; daughters, Sherrie E. Barss and Melinda S. Hamilton; sister, Mabel Gottsabend; brother, Edward W. III; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Beverly Jean Hillyer
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 22, 2001, in Calvary Chapel Southeast for Beverly Jean Hillyer, who died April 11 at age 68. Mrs. Hillyer was born Beverly Jean Hammes on Oct. 27, 1932, in Los Angeles. A homemaker, she moved from La Habra, Calif., to Tualatin in 1991. In 1964, she married
Allen Hillyer; he died in 2000.
Survivors include her sons, Andre Ciminski and Keith Ciminski; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Beulah May Hoaglund
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2001, in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Molalla for Beulah May Hoaglund, who died April 12 at age 95. Mrs. Hoaglund was born Beulah Davis on July 10, 1905, in Portland. She was a drill press operator during World War II. She was a cook in logging camps in Oregon and in Boy Scout camps in California for more than 40 years, retiring in the 1960s. She moved in 1968 to Dickey Prairie. In 1924, she married
Sven T. Hoaglund; he died in 1970.
Survivors include her daughter, Yvonne May Gardner; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Her son Richard died in 2000; her son Jackie died in 1933; and her daughter Doreen died in 1937.

William Arthur Lewis
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2000, in Calvary Episcopal Church in Seaside for William Arthur Lewis, who died April 12, 2001, at age 79. Mr. Lewis was born July 27, 1921, in Blackwood, Wales. He immigrated to New Orleans and later moved to Portland in the 1950s. He was a purchasing agent for White Stag until he retired in 1987. He moved to Seaside in the late 1980s. He married
Shirley Sumner in 1955.
Survivors include his wife; daughter, Wendy Jones; son, Anthony S.; and three grandchildren.

Darwin 'Bud' Matter
A memorial Mass will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2001, in St. James Catholic Church in Molalla for Darwin "Bud" Matter, who died April 14 at age 76. Mr. Matter was born April 13, 1925, in Springfield, Minn. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific and earned two Silver Stars. He remained in the Navy until 1962. In 1969, he moved from Union City, Calif., to Molalla, where he was a mechanic and owned Bud's Auto Repair in the 1970s, then raised cattle until retiring in 1982. In 1944, he married
Neva Barker.
Survivors include his wife; daughters, Yvonne Haughton and Roxanne Matter; son, Charles; brothers, Floyd Matter, Richard Veldman and Harold Veldman; sisters, Virginia Coburn and Alice Cox; and five grandchildren. His son Larry died in 1948, and his daughter Melody in 1979.

Marjory May McClay
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2001, in Coos Bay Chapel for Marjory May McClay, who died April 18 at age 69. A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2001, in Canby Funeral Chapel. Mrs. McClay was born Marjory May Mascall on Jan. 18, 1932, in John Day. She graduated from Good Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing and was a registered nurse at Good Samaritan for 30 years, retiring as assistant director of nurses. She moved in 1990 to Coos Bay. She did volunteer work educating people about diabetes. In 1955, she married
Marlin C. McClay.
Survivors include her husband; daughters, April D. Petz and Shannon E. Willis; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

June Joan Melton
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2001, in Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Salem for June Joan Melton, who died April 10 at age 60. Mrs. Melton was born June Joan Roley on Nov. 27, 1940, in Oregon City. She graduated from Canby High School. She was a receptionist at CGU/North Pacific for about 20 years, retiring in 1999. She married
Martin Sammons in 1958; they later divorced. She married
Gary Melton in 1993.
Survivors include her husband; son, Christopher Sammons; mother, Elvada Roley; brothers, Kenneth Roley and Steven Roley; and three grandchildren. Her son Randall Sammons died in 2000.
