Donna Marie Laredo
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2001, in Fellowship Bible Church in Oregon City for Donna Marie Laredo, who died April 26 at age 58. Mrs. Laredo was born Donna Marie Schwahn on April 23, 1943, in Oregon City. She graduated from Milwaukie High School and lived in Beaverton, Rochester, N.Y., and Oregon City. She was a services administrator for Eastman Kodak, retiring in 1992 after 25 years. Her first marriage ended in divorce; her second husband died. In 1995, she married
K. Latham Loredo.
Survivors include her husband; daughters, Terrie and Deena; son, John; mother, Helen Schwahn; sisters, Helen Haak, Theresa Morton, Nancy Saul and Peggy Lara; brothers, Wes Schwahn and Bill Schwahn; and seven grandchildren.

Anna Mae Jane Moreland
A funeral will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2001, in Killingsworth Little Chapel of the Chimes for Anna Mae Jane Moreland, who died April 24 at age 75. Mrs. Moreland was born Anna Mae Jane Norman on Oct. 1, 1925, in Spokane and moved to Leavenworth, Wash., as a child. She later lived in Wenatchee, Wash., and moved to Portland 1953. She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Community Church. In 1953, she married
Norman E. Moreland.
Survivors include her husband; and son, Frank Moreland Winkler.
Interment in Wenatchee City cemetery.
Brenda Pitman
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2001, in Seaside Christian Church in Warrenton for Brenda Pitman, who died April 26 at age 57. Mrs. Pitman was born Brenda Stricklin on June 19, 1943, in Portageville, Mo. She moved in 1970 to Seaside, where she worked at Dairy Queen. She moved to Tigard in February.
Survivors include her sons, Gene, William, Jeff and Craig; daughter, Kathy Beatty; companion, Michael Retzman; and 14 grandchildren.

Paula M. Rhodes
Paula M. Rhodes died April 19, 2001, at age 92. Mrs. Rhodes was born Paula Leisl on Feb. 19, 1909, in Germany. She worked as a lab technician at Sequoia Hospital in Redwood City, Calif. She moved to Tigard in 1985. In the 1940s she married
Cecil Rhodes; he died in 1992.
Survivors include her son, Peter Kuehl.

Margaret B. Robertson
Margaret B. Robertson died April 22, 2001, at age 87. Mrs. Robertson was born Margaret Micheel on June 10, 1913, in Johnstown, Neb. She moved to Oregon in 1948, living in Sheridan and Mill Creek until she and her husband bought the Hebo Sports Shop in Hebo. She later lived in McMinnville and Salem. In 1939, she married
David Robertson; he died in 1999.
Survivors include her son, David; daughter, Avis Reddaway; sisters, Betty Bennett, Marty Lamoureaux and Leila Johnson; brother, Melvin Micheel; and two grandchildren.

Betty Olive Robinson
Betty Olive Robinson died April 21, 2001, at age 77. Mrs. Robinson was born Betty Richard on Dec. 27, 1923, in Portland, and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. She was a practical nurse who worked at various agencies, including Good Samaritan Hospital.
Survivors include her son, Gregory Gray, and three grandchildren. Her son David Eugene Gray died in 1949; her son Leonard E. Schlegel died in 1978.

Lloyd Russell Shannon
Lloyd Russell Shannon died April 20, 2001, at age 82. Mr. Shannon was born July 25, 1918, in Rice, Wash. He moved to the Portland area in the 1930s. He went to work for Northwest Natural in 1943, when it was called Portland Gas & Coke Co., and retired in 1985. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy. He married
Molly Ramirez in 1971.
Survivors include his wife; daughters, Effielu Shultz, Anita Ament, Deby Butzer, and Cathy Ehli; son, Charles; twelve grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Nicholas Aristides Vanikiotis
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2001, in Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Portland for Nicholas Aristides Vanikiotis, who died April 28 at age 76. A trisagion service will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, in Riverview Abbey Funeral Home. Mr. Vanikiotis was born Aug. 1, 1924, in Portland. He graduated from Grant High School and the University of Portland. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in Europe with the OSS. He was a food broker, including for Pillsbury for 25 years, until retiring in 1995. He was a lifelong member of the church and a past president of Inspirators of Oregon, a food broker group. In 1949, he married
Ann Angelis.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Harry and John; sisters, Vacelia Vanikiotis and Aliki Otterson; and four grandchildren.

Thurley E. Voll
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 3, 2001, in First Presbyterian Church in Newberg for Thurley E. Voll who died April 6 at age 88. Mrs. Voll was born Thurley B. Ernest on June 28, 1912, in Bellows Falls, Vt. She moved in 1919 to Portland and graduated in 1930 from Jefferson High School. She was a homemaker and volunteer. In 1939 she married
Emil Voll; he died in 1999.
Survivors include her daughter, Gwen Robinson; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Warner 'Eldon' Wallace
A celebration of life will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2001, in Club Amazon on the Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway for Warner "Eldon" Wallace, who died April 24 at age 70. Mr. Wallace was born Oct. 13, 1930, in Portland. He was a dealer representative for Ford Motor Credit Co. for 30 years, retiring in 1994. He also coached youth baseball and basketball in North Portland. In 1953 he married
Alice Shields.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Jeffrey S. and Jay C.; daughter, Joan Denise Magin; mother, Margaret Beerbower; and seven grandchildren.

Richard W. Wilms
A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 2 in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in McMinnville for Richard W. Wilms who died April 27 at age 75. Mr. Wilms was born Dec. 27, 1925, in San Diego. During World War II he served in the U.S. Navy. He lived in Portland from 1968 to 1985. He worked for Pacific Bell for 35 years until retiring in 1984. He married
Janeva Ilene Treanor in 1973.
Survivors include his wife; daughters, Peggy Dunlap, Nancy Geigle, Jan Humber, and Linda Jenkins; sons, Scott and Trent; sister, Gladys Sherman; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Verlin Jack Wright
Verlin Jack Wright died April 22, 2001, at age 78. Mr. Wright was born May 20, 1922, in Twin Falls, Idaho. He was a graduate of Idaho State Normal School. He was a pilot in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II. He was vice president of Mascott Equipment Co., which he helped found and from which he retired in 1987. He married
Rosemary Leonard in 1944.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Karl L. and Terry E.; sister, Secret Mink; and four grandchildren.

Calvin K. Yasumiishi
A service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2001, at St. Aidan's Church in Gresham for Calvin K. Yasumiishi, who died April 24 at 70. Mr. Yasumiishi was born Oct. 23, 1930, in Los Angeles. He received a bachelor's degree from the College of Idaho in 1958. He was a teacher and wrestling coach in the Ontario and Portland school districts and later a sales representative for the textbook division of Harper & Row; he retired in 1991. He served in the Army and the Army Reserve. He married
Lilian Y. Tsushima in 1954.
He is survived by his wife; sons, Kip and Jay; daughters, Kim Case and Joy Yasumiishi; and two grandchildren.
