Willard Leslie Wildman
A service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, 2000, in Willamette National cemetery for Willard Leslie Wildman, who died Nov. 9 of pancreatitis at age 54. Mr. Wildman was born Oct. 17, 1946, in Klamath Falls. He served two tours of duty and was disabled in the Vietnam War. After his discharge, he received an associate's degree from Clackamas Community College. He moved to Portland in 1978 and was a self-employed mechanic for the past 20 years.
Survivors include his daughter, Wendi Sabatinos; son, Larry M.; brothers, Walter and Wesley; sisters, Gloria Garrett and Patricia Treddenbarger; fiancee, Mary Rose Rose; and one grandchild. His son David died in 1980.
The family suggests remembrances to the Disabled Veterans of America. Arrangements are by American Burial & Cremation.
Margaret Louise Barbee
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 3, 2000, in the chapel of the Mount St. Joseph care center for Margaret Louise "Peggy Loo" Barbee, who died Oct. 30 at age 92. Miss Barbee was born Dec. 6, 1907, in Portland. She was a housekeeper and kitchen aide for Mount St. Joseph before retiring in 1968. She was a Catholic.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.
Private interment will be in Lincoln Memorial Park. The family suggests remembrances to Mount St. Joseph. Arrangements are by Caldwell's Colonial Chapel.
Margie Eva Boettcher
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, 2000, in West Linn Lutheran Church for Margie Eva Boettcher, who died Nov. 1 at age 67. Mrs. Boettcher was born March 13, 1933, in Oregon City. Her maiden name was Bigham. She was a shipping clerk for Gerber Legendary Blades for 15 years until 1974, and she was a member of the church. In 1950, she married
Paul Boettcher Sr.
Survivors include her husband; daughter, Marcie J. Williams; son, Paul A. Jr.; brother, Wesley Bigham; sister, Bonnie Hitchcock; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
Disposition is by cremation. Arrangements are by Crown Cremation & Funeral Services.
Sandra Gae DuToit
A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, 2000, in Finley's Sunset Hills Mortuary for Sandra Gae DuToit, who died Oct. 29 at age 63. Mrs. DuToit was born Nov. 9, 1936, in Salem. Her maiden name was Harwood. She moved in 1955 to Portland, where she attended Lewis & Clark College and was a self-employed bookkeeper and accountant until retiring in 1997. In 1955, she married
Don E. DuToit; they later divorced.
Survivors include her sons, David E. and Dennis E.; brother, Allan Harwood; and three grandchildren.
Private interment will be in Sunset Hills Memorial Park.
Faith Irene Epler
A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, 2000, in Damascus Assembly of God in Boring for Faith Irene Epler, who died Oct. 30 at age 81. Mrs. Epler was born Nov. 5, 1918, in Tulare County, Calif. Her maiden name was Eyer. She and her husband, a minister, were missionaries in the Appalachian Mountains and Colombia, then served churches in Florida and California before moving in 1987 to Damascus. She was a member of the church. In 1939, she married
the Rev. Paul Mark Epler; he died in 1992.
Survivors include her son, Dwayne; daughters, Joanna Tobey and Connie Moss; sister, Ruth Hammond; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Interment will be in Damascus Pioneer cemetery. The family suggests remembrances to Gideons International. Arrangements are by Crown Cremation & Funeral Services.
Patricia Joan Erickson
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, 2000, in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Chinook, Wash., for Patricia Joan Erickson, who died Oct. 27 at age 77. Mrs. Erickson was born Dec. 15, 1922, in Chinook. Her maiden name was Davis. She graduated from the University of Oregon in 1946 and taught at Girls Polytechnic High School in Portland in the late 1940s and early 1950s. She taught at Ilwaco High School in Ilwaco, Wash., until retiring in 1982. In 1958, she married
D.W. Aslin; he died in 1989. She married
Carl Erickson in 1990.
Survivors include her husband; stepsons, Gary Aslin and George Erickson; stepdaughters, Wanda Laukkanen and Carol Erickson; and nine grandchildren.
Private interment will be in Ilwaco cemetery. The family suggests remembrances to the Ilwaco Heritage Museum, P.O. Box 153, Ilwaco, WA 98624. Arrangements are by Penttila's Chapel by the Sea.
Jim King
A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, 2000, in Donelson Sewell & Mathews Mortuary for Jim King, who died Oct. 31 at age 84. Mr. King was born Dec. 5, 1915, in Southwick, Idaho, and was raised in Walla Walla. He was a cannery worker and car salesman in Walla Walla before moving to Portland in 1960, where he worked as a maintenance mechanic for the Portland Parks Bureau for 18 years until retiring in 1978. Betty Welch.
Survivors include his wife; son, James; daughter, Joann Bocol; stepson, Curtis Sibley; sister, Opal Watson; five grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
Interment will be in Sunset Hills Memorial Park. The family suggests remembrances to the American Cancer Society.
Dennis Eugene Luse
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, 2000, in Finley's Sunset Hills Mortuary for Dennis Eugene Luse, who died Oct. 31 of a heart attack at age 58. Mr. Luse was born Sept. 28, 1942, in Missoula, Mont., and was raised in Portland. He graduated from Jefferson High School and then served in the U.S. Air Force. After military service, he was a mechanic for United Airlines in Fremont, Calif., and Portland. He later joined the Veterans Administration Medical Center as a ward clerk and was assistant chief of the center's computer center when he retired in 1996. In the 1970s, he wrote a fishing column for the Sandy Post. An amateur astronomer, he was on the board of directors of Image in the Sky and was an astronomy consultant for KOIN (6) and for the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry. In 1963, he married
Joan VanBavel; they divorced. In 1986, he married
Mary Holter; she died in 1999. In September, he married
Julie Taylor.
Survivors include his wife; daughter, Kathy Laws; stepsons, Mark Rogers and Erik Rogers; brother, Clyde; sister, Sharon Allen; and three grandchildren.
Disposition is by cremation. The family suggests remembrances to Rose City Astronomers, attention Keith Allred, in care of Davis Wright Tremaine, 1501 Fourth Ave., Seattle, WA 98101.
Ella Arthur Powell
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, 2000, in Eastwood cemetery in Medford for Ella Arthur Powell, who died Oct. 31 at age 87. Mrs. Powell was born Jan. 17, 1913, in Wayne County, Ky. Her maiden name was Arthur. A homemaker, she moved to Medford in 1920 and to Portland in 1967. She was a member of Medford Southern Methodist Church. In 1929, she married
Carroll Powell; he died in 1988.
Survivors include her daughters, Barbara Scrivner and Ruth Gleason; son, Carroll "Bud"; 14 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren.

Ruth Rohrer
A funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 3, 2000, in Cornwell Colonial Chapel in Woodburn for Ruth Rohrer, who died Oct. 30 at age 90. Mrs. Rohrer was born Oct. 21, 1910, in Vancouver, Wash. Her maiden name was Forgey. She graduated from Union High School. She moved to Portland in 1929, to Heppner in 1930, and to Woodburn in 1965. She was a mail room supervisor for Northwest Farmers Insurance in Tigard for 23 years, retiring in 1965. She was a member of Woodburn United Methodist Church. She married
Clinton Rohrer in 1929.
Survivors include her husband; son, Richard; daughter, Margaret Kemper; brothers, Larry Forgey and Irvin Forgey; sister, Gladys Strode; seven grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Private interment will be in Skyline Memorial Gardens. The family suggests remembrances to a favorite charity.
Leonard "Nick" Spada
A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 3, 2000, in Rose City Funeral Home for Leonard "Nick" Spada, who died Oct. 30 at age 84. Mr. Spada was born Sept. 16, 1916, in Metzger and was raised in Portland. He graduated from Grant High School. A truck farmer during World War II, he continued after the war growing cabbage, cucumbers and pumpkins. From the early 1960s until his retirement in 1998, he also owned Four of Spades Nursery in Gresham and later Lebanon. He moved to Lebanon in 1989, where he was a member of St. Edward's Catholic Church. In 1943, he married
Ilena Rose Kingsbury; she died last December.
Survivors include his daughters, Karen Lundborg and Renee Antrim; sisters, Jenny Casale and Rose Garre; brother, Arthur; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Interment will be in Rose City cemetery. The family suggests remembrances to the National Kidney Foundation of Oregon and Southwest Washington.
Ralph Edward Webb
A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, 2000, in St. Johns Funeral Home for Ralph Edward Webb, who died Oct. 31 at age 85. Mr. Webb was born Aug. 16, 1915, in Sprague, Wash., and was raised in Portland. He attended Roosevelt High School and graduated from Benson Polytechnic High School. During World War II, he served in the merchant marine. He was a longshoreman on Terminal Four out of Local 162 for about 30 years before retiring in 1975. In 1947, he married
Fern Heilig; she died in 1999.
Survivors include his daughters, Marie A. Smith and Sandra J. Webb; stepdaughter, Gail J. Glad; stepson, Blaine W. Webster; sister, Doreen Lenberg; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Interment will be in Skyline Memorial Gardens. The family suggests remembrances to the Oregon Humane Society.
Ray Beach
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, 2000, in Wilhelm Funeral Home for Ray Beach, who died Nov. 26 of a stroke at age 84. Mr. Beach was born Nov. 24, 1916, in Otter Creek, Ind. He moved to Portland while serving in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II and was the co-owner of A-1 Silk Screen Products until the mid-1990s. In 1944, he married
Arlene Foster.
Survivors include his wife; son, Brad; daughters, Janice Schermer and Patricia Gillespie; and six grandchildren.
Interment will be in Joseph. The family suggests remembrances to the Providence St. Vincent Medical Foundation for heart research.
