Aina A. Peterson
A gathering will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 28, 2001, in her home for Aina A. Peterson, who died April 6 at age 90. Mrs. Peterson was born Aina A. Gustafson on Jan. 22, 1911, in Kalmar, Sweden. She immigrated to Chicago in 1928, and moved to Portland in 1929. She was a caterer out of her home, retiring about 1991. In 1929, she married
Arvid Peterson; he died in 1980.
Survivors include her sons, Cliff and Gary; daughter, Lois Watts; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Robert Charles Wall
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 19, 2001, in Sunnyside Little Chapel of the Chimes for Robert Charles Wall, who died April 10 at age 75. Mr. Wall was born July 4, 1925, in Vernonia and was raised there and in Toledo. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army Air Forces. In 1950, he graduated from Whitman College and in 1953 from Willamette University School of Law. He was an attorney in private business practice in Portland for the past 48 years, still active at the time of his death. In 1946, he married
Lola Purvis.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Mitchell C. and Bradley R.; brother, M. Fred Jr.; and sister, Gloria Scoville.
Interment in Chimes Memorial Gardens. Remembrances to Hopewell House.
Vernie M. Bolin
Vernie M. Bolin died April 10, 2001, at age 62. Mr. Bolin was born Aug. 10, 1938, in Astoria. He served in the U.S. Army. He moved to Portland in 1959 and was a nurse's aide and technician for St. Vincent Hospital for 10 years. He was later a purchasing agent for Conner Spring for 22 years and later for Pacific Gateway Hospital & Counseling Center, until retiring in 1998. In 1992, he married
Kathleen R. Snyder.
Survivors include his wife; and daughter, Connie Rae Smith.

Kam Lan Chan Gee
A funeral will be at noon Wednesday, April 18, 2001, in Caldwell's Colonial Chapel for Kam Lan Chan Gee, who died April 12 at age 85. Mrs. Gee was born Kam Lan Chan on Feb. 9, 1916, in Toishan, China. She immigrated to Portland in the early 1960s and was a homemaker. In the mid-1960s, she married
Tom Fong Gee; he died in 1985.
Survivors include her son, Patrick; and three grandchildren.
Interment in Lincoln Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Jacqueline June Ross
Jacqueline June Ross died April 9, 2001, at age 75. Mrs. Ross was born Jacqueline June Agoredes on Nov. 21, 1925, in Raymond, Wash. She moved to Portland as a child and attended a boarding school at Marylhurst. She was a homemaker. In 1941, she married
Norbet Ross.
Survivors include her husband; daughter, Viki Castrow; son, Tom; sister, Margaret Thompson; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Her son Daniel died in 1984.

Wendell Dean Sause
Wendell Dean Sause died April 7, 2001, at age 58. Mr. Sause was born March 24, 1943, in Tillamook. He attended school in Newberg and later lived in Eugene in the late 1960s. He served in the U.S. Army. He lived in Portland from 1971 until 1976, when he moved to the Rogue Valley. He owned a pizza parlor in Ashland and later started Ashland Woodworks and the Breadboard in Ashland. He also co-owned the Lube Express, the Oil Shop and the Crater Car Wash in Medford. In 1992, he married
Cathy Kruse.
Survivors include his wife; daughters, Kristi Booth and Andrea Fletcher; mother, Betty Hansen; brothers, John and Larry; sister, Virginia Horton; and one grandchild.

Merrill Clare Shook
A memorial service will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2001, in St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church in Beaverton for Merrill Clare Shook, who died April 13 at age 78. Mr. Shook was born Feb. 6, 1923, in Wayne, Mich. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Pacific. He moved to Portland from Washington state in 1956. He was a salesman in the lumber products industry until retiring in 1985. He had been an active member of the church for 45 years. In 1943, he married
Penny Watts.
Survivors include his wife; son, Mike; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. His daughter Laurie Shook died in 1972.

Harriette M. Andersen
A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, 2000, in St. Henry's Catholic Church in Gresham for Harriette M. Andersen, who died Nov. 13 at age 83. Mrs. Andersen was born May 30, 1917, in Dallas, S.D. Her maiden name was Kirwan. A homemaker, she moved in 1939 to the Portland area and lived on a farm near Gresham from about 1950 until moving to Portland 30 years ago. In 1941, she married
Earl Andersen; he died in June.
Survivors include her sons, David, Donovan, William, Gary and John; daughter, Linda Herinck; brothers, Frank Kirwan and Leroy Kirwan; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Interment will be in Willamette National cemetery. The family suggests remembrances to Boys Town. Arrangements are by Lincoln Willamette Funeral Directors.
Jeffrey Lynn Anderson
Jeffrey Lynn Anderson died Nov. 1, 2000, of a stroke at age 51. No service will be held. Mr. Anderson was born Sept. 1, 1949, in Los Angeles. He graduated from Chico State University in California. He moved to Estacada in 1990, and lived in Portland for the past eight years. A computer analyst, he most recently worked as a contractor for AT&T; Wireless Services.
Survivors include his daughter, Kyra Lynn Geuting; son, Hanns; and sister, Sherrie Wray.
Disposition is by cremation. Arrangements are by Alpine Cremation & Burial Services.
Dr. E. Murray Burns
A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, 2000, in the Terwilliger Plaza auditorium for Dr. E. Murray Burns, who died Nov. 15 at age 93. Dr. Burns was born Jan. 22, 1907, in Tacoma and grew up in Portland. He graduated from Jefferson High School and the University of Oregon, and he received his medical degree from the UO Medical School (now Oregon Health Sciences University). During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army in North Africa and France, where he was chief of staff of the 46th General Hospital. He practiced internal medicine in Portland, both privately and as a staff member of Good Samaritan Hospital, and in 1966 volunteered in Vietnam with the American Medical Association. He married
Alice Douglas in 1933; she died in 1998.
Survivors include his daughters, Marjorie Burns and Barbara Erickson; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. His son, Dr. Douglas Murray Burns, has been missing in Thailand since 1976.
Disposition is by cremation. The family suggests remembrances to any program benefiting battered women. Arrangements are by Finley's Sunset Hills Mortuary.
Dorothy Eileen Capps
Dorothy Eileen Capps died Nov. 5, 2000, of cancer at age 74. A private service was held. Mrs. Capps was born March 10, 1926, in Corvallis and was raised in Portland. Her maiden name was White. She graduated from Roosevelt High School and attended Oregon State University and the University of Oregon. She was an escrow officer for Heritage Escrow in Beaverton for about 10 years before her retirement in 1970. In 1952, she married
George "Bill" Capps; he died in 1993.
Survivors include her son, James A.; daughter, Susan E. Weiskopf; sister, Margaret Downie; and two grandchildren.
Interment is in Willamette National cemetery. The family suggests remembrances to Washington County Hospice. Arrangements are by Pegg, Paxson & Springer Funeral Home.
Gordon Walter Clark
Gordon Walter Clark died Oct. 30, 2000, of cancer at age 72. A memorial service was held. Mr. Clark was born Oct. 24, 1928, in New York City. He served in the U.S. Army in Italy and in the United States. He lived on Long Island, N.Y., and then in Connecticut and was a soundman for traveling shows for many years, working out of the International Association of Stage Employees. After moving to Tualatin 12 years ago, he was a carpenter for R.A. Reed Productions.
Survivors include his sons, Timothy and James; daughter, Alison Massaro; brother, Stanley; sisters, Elizabeth Crevling and Grace Gunderson; and four grandchildren.
Interment will be in Willamette National cemetery. The family suggests remembrances to a favorite charity. Arrangements were by Omega Funeral & Cremation Service.
Randall F. Eichman
A memorial gathering will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, 2000, in the Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall in Woodland, Wash., for Randall F. Eichman, who died Nov. 11 at age 74. Mr. Eichmann was born Sept. 5, 1926, in Seattle. He served in the merchant marine during World War II and in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He moved in 1957 to the Portland area and was an electrical engineer for a division of Tektronix that became Spacelabs, retiring in 1987. He also was a volunteer radio-operator for Washington County Emergency Services. After retiring he moved to Woodland, where he operated Contract Courier Services with his wife until his death. He married
Berta Craig in 1949.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Steve, Ken, Tommy and Rick; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Interment will be in Willamette National cemetery. The family suggests remembrances to Doernbecher Children's Hospital. Arrangements are by Aftercare Cremation & Burial Services.
