William L. "Lee" Maloy
William L. Maloy, 69, of Prospect, OR, best known as Lee, died Thursday August 25, 2005 at home.
Lee was born in Grants Pass, on Dec. 24, 1935 to William M. and Vivian (Carter) Maloy. In 1942 the family moved to Skeeters Camp in Prospect. Lee attended school in Prospect before joining the Marine Corp. in 1953.
After his discharge Lee came back to Prospect where he met and married
his life partner Nancy (Darrohn) Maloy on June 25, 1957 in Reno, NV., who passed away in Dec. 2004.
Lee worked for Skeeters and Skeeters Logging, then spent several years more in the logging industry before he and his brother Gene started their own logging company.
Lee also owned and operated his own logging truck before retiring. After his retirement, Lee spent alot of time turning broken things into "Critters" of which he gave many, many away. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and sometimes cooking.
Survivors include one daughter, Norma Miller of Prospect; three sons, Bill Maloy of Prospect, Chris Maloy of Grants Pass, and Ron Maloy of Prospect; two sisters, Marge Fairbanks of White City, and Mona Bishop of Prospect; one aunt, Delma Presler of Wimer; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Nancy, he was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gene Maloy.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, 2005 at the Prospect Community Hall with a potluck following. Chaplain Earl Best will be officiating.
Robert Knott
Robert Knott, 80, of Medford, died Tuesday, (August 30, 2005) at Rogue Valley Medical Center. Arrangements: Rouge Valley Funeral Alternatives, Medford.
Bobby Ray Wilson
Bobby Ray Wilson, beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away at his home on September 4, 2005 in Medford.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 9, 2005 at the VA cemetery in Eagle Point. Memorial contributions to be made to American Cancer Society.
Bobby Ray Wilson was born on December 15, 1934 in Brown Branch, Missouri to Elza and Golda Wilson. He served in both the Navy and the Army. He then retired as a machinist. Bobby loved to fly and loved to travel.
Survivors include his wife Carol; daughters Joanna and husband (Bill) Jackson of O'Brien, Oregon, Kelly Kilgras of Medford; grand-daughters Willow and Madrone Jackson of O'Brien; brothers Bill (Joanne), Bud (Teresa), Doug (Edie), Dwane (Judy), Ronny (Debbie) and many nieces and nephews. preceded in death by first wife Betty; and son, Timothy.
Elizabeth Grace Hamelin
Elizabeth Grace Hamelin, 20 months, of Ogden, Utah died Saturday, September 3, 2005 in Salt Lake City.
Elizabeth was born on December 11, 2003. In her short life, Elizabeth brought much joy to her family.
Elizabeth is survived by her parents Eldon and Tiffany Hamelin and big sister, Julianne, Ogden, Grandparents Alan and Michele Hassell, Ashland, Alfred and Edith Hamelin, Rexburg, Idaho and Grandmother Alecia Montanez, Medford.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm Thursday, September 8 at the Ashland LDS chapel, 111 Clay St.
Elizabeth Sellars Green
Elizabeth Sellars Green, 96, of Medford, Oregon died peacefully Saturday, September 3, 2005. A memorial service will be held at the Medford Congregational Church, Friday, September 9, 2005 at 2 p.m.
Known as Lib or Libby, she was born on October 4, 1908 in Chelsea, Massachusetts to Levina and Robert Sellars. She lived and worked in the Boston area until she married
Nelson R. Green of Woodstock, Vermont on October 13, 1934. They resided on a farm in Woodstock, Vermont until buying a farm in Meriden, New Hampshire in 1938. They moved to Medford, Oregon in 1986 to be near their family.
She enjoyed Eastern Star, church activities, her camping groups and playing cards with her friends. She was preceded in death by her husband (of 68 years) Nelson, three brothers and one sister. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Harriet and Jerry Pringle; granddaughters; Elizabeth Edinger and Julie Moore, and four great-grandchildren.

Gerald "Jay" Evan Kime
Lifelong resident of the Rogue Valley, Gerald "Jay" Evan Kime, 88, died Wednesday (August 31, 2005).
He was born on December 5, 1916 on Dark Hollow Rd. On November 25, 1938 in Jackson County, he married
Velma M. Thomason. They divorced in the 1960s.
He is survived by two children, Gerald R. Kime of Grants Pass and Mrs. Patricia Peterson of Portland.
Two sisters, Mary and Marguerite, preceded him in death. Surviving are four brothers, William of Portland, John of Rogue River, Ralph of Griffin Creek, and Richard of Soldotna, Alaska; and two sisters, Mrs. Remo Wilson of Oakridge, and Mrs. Hazel Nyberg of Medford; eight grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
Jay owned the Central Point Saw Shop in the 40s and 50s. He was renowned by mills from Eureka to Eugene to Bly for his ability to fix saws no one else could. In the late 60s he started horse ranching and had 42 head at one time.
Friend and helper to many, he was a true Cowboy in heart and spirit, if not in fact.
A memorial ceremony will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Medford at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 10, 2005.
Gregory Allen Horn
The celebration of Gregory Allen Horn's life will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2005 in the Eagle Point High School gymnasium.
He was 22 years old when on Sept. 3, 2005, a tragic motorcycle accident took him away from us, to be with the Lord.
Greg was born June 27, 1983 in Medford, Oregon, and he attended Eagle Point High School, graduating in 2001. He then attended Rogue Community College, College of the Siskiyous and So. Oregon College, where he had less than a year, in getting a Fire Science degree. At Eagle Point, he played football, basketball and baseball and was a member of the Honor Society and Letterman's Club. In football, he was an All-conference reciever and played football at College of the Siskiyous for one year.
Greg touched the lives of many people, which was evident of the support that has been shown when the news spread of his death. He always made time for his family and friends, never leaving a stone unturned, and his spirit reflected his smile and life. He was baptized and loved going to church which was a big part of his life.
Greg is survived by his parents, Kim and Debbie; a brother, Scott; a sister, Stacy; grandparents; aunts; uncles; and cousins.
Thank you dear Lord for giving us our beautiful son. We know he was on loan to us, but the memories we have and the love we shared is incredible. We know he is up with you in your arms and you will take good care of him till we're able to be together again.
Thank you Lord for allowing us to have him for 22 years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Greg Horn Memorial Fire Science Scholarship Fund at any Washington Mutual Bank.

June Florine Bishop-Burr
Our beloved sister June passed away Aug 7, 2005 in Los Altos, CA.
She was born June 3, 1923 in Central Point OR, to Guy W. Bishop and Hazel Bishop (McClelland), both from Pioneer families of the Valley. She graduated from Sams Valley school, moving to CA where she met and married
Dorsey Burr. Their two children, Teresa Burr and David Burr, both reside in Los Altos.
June is survived by three brothers, Truman (McMinneville, Or), Guy W. and Bernard Bishop as well as a sister, Janet Lamb (all who reside in the Rogue Valley) and many nieces and nephews. June was preceded in death by her parents and a sister. Rosemary.
A family memorial was held and her ashes were interred in the Hillcrest family plot in an area which originally was part of the Bishop homestead.
Marie Margaret Ireland
Marie Margaret Ireland passed peacefully to our Lord surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday morning, September 6th, 2005.
Marie was born February 13, 1920 in Minneapolis, MN. She lived there for five years, then moved to Southern California, where she grew up. In 1940, Marie married
William John Hernlein. Together they had four children. Their marriage lasted until his death in 1949.
Marie married
Lorimer Ireland in 1953 in La Puente, California where, together as a family, they operated Ireland's Hatchery and Poultry Farm. In 1956 they moved their family to what later became Ireland Hereford Ranch in Ashland. In 1963, after obtaining her broker's license, she and Lorimer formed Ireland Realty, selling real estate in Southern Oregon for over 20 years. Marie was an active member of the Board of Realtors, serving as its president in 1970.
Marie's many accomplishments include her affiliation with Bellview Grange #759 as well as the Oregon State Grange, holding many offices including that of Master. In 1964 she joined the Ashland Hospital Auxiliary where she volunteered for 12 years. From 1973-1974, she served as president of Soroptimists International of Ashland. Marie started working at the Blood Bank and the Emergency Food Bank in the mid-1970s. From 1982-1983, Marie was president of the Republican Women in Ashland and in 1983, president of St. Ann's Alter Society. She has worked with St. Vincent de Paul since 1986.
Marie loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, creating beautiful counted cross-stitch, bowling, fishing, crafts, Pinochle and, so that she would always have someone to play with, taught everyone how to play 1, 000 Dice, her favorite game. She did clowning for two years, bringing smiles and laughter to the little school children who she loved to entertain. Marie also worked for two years as a volunteer reserve officer for the Ashland Police Department. She loved to travel and enjoyed time in Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Switzerland, France, England, Italy, Canada and many different areas of the United States.
Our mother is now reunited with beloved family members including her first husband, William John Hernlein, who died in 1949; her son, Thomas Walter Hernlein, who passed away in 1962, her second husband, Lorimer C. Ireland, her brother Walter Thomas Gleeson and her step-son, Gordon Ireland, all who died in 1992; her other stepson Richard Ireland who died in 2001; her daughter-in-law, Gloria Ireland, who died in 1979; her granddaughter, Colleen Rutchland, who passed away in 2004.
Marie is survived by four children: William John Hernlein III, Ann Marie Ireland, Kathryn Adams and Mary Elsom; grandchildren, Carrie Six, Connie Ireland, Corinne Griffin, Richard Ireland, Cindy Dickerson and William John Hernlein IV; and 12 great-grandchildren: Keola Griffin, Amy Six, Joseph Six, Paul Ireland, Tristan Briggs, Kyle Rutchland, Corey Rutchland, Kelly Ireland, Justin Ireland, William John Hernlein V, Anastasia Hernlein and Malia Dickerson; her sister, Dorothy Ann Keller and niece, Marie Margaret Keller, her sister-in-law, Betty Gleeson, nephews Scott and John Gleeson and nieces Kathleen Jenny, Nancy Wright, Della Gleeson and Mary Biggerstaff, her brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Helen Butler, nephew Richard Butler and niece Susie Oerline.
Marie's faith in God was an integral part of her life. She loved her spiritual community and was an active member of Our Lady of the Mountain Catholic Church. A devoted wife and mother, she always put her family first.
We will miss "Tutu" very much.Her love, infectious laughter, generosity, care-giving and service to her community created a multitude of friends that range far and wide and a family that will miss her deeply.

Matilda "Diane" Hastings
Matilda "Diane" Hastings, 82, of Medford, died August 30, 2005.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 10, 2005 at Memory Gardens, 1395 Arnold Lane, Medford Oregon.
The family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Oregon.
Diane was born February 24, 1923 in Honolulu Hawaii. She was a survivor of the attack at Pearl Harbor. Soon thereafter her family relocated to California. She never left her love for the islands and continued her Hoola and Tahitian dancing creating dance troops in the states. She worked as a Bookkeeper in Southern California where she met her late husband, Norman Hastings. In 1976 she relocated to Medford, Oregon where she worked for many years at a Realtor with Bob Bauman Real Estate.
Diane was the mother of three children; the late Earl Faiman, Dianna Bilyeu of Jacksonville, Oregon, and Marcus Faiman of Sacramento, Calfornia. She was the grandmother of six and great grandmother of nine children. She leaves behind two sisters; Claudette Daigle and Linda Nalbanion, and one brother; Robert Alameda, and her beloved dog Keno. She was proceeded in death by her parents; Henry and Annie Alameda, her son Earl Faiman, and her husband Norman Hastings.
Diane was a long time member of the Hawaiin Hui Club of Southern Oregon. She loved chocolate, coffee, red lipstick, Tabu perfume, and Bingo.
Her presence will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
Victoria "Tori" Reynolds
Victoria "Tori" Reynolds, 46, of Eagle Point, passed away on September 2, 2005 in Medford, Oregon, after a long battle with cancer.
Victoria was born on June 28, 1959 in Medford, Oregon to Donald and Carol Reynolds.
Tori, a lifelong resident of Eagle Point, worked for Eagle Point and Central Point School Districts for many years.
Survivors include her parents, Don and Carol Reynolds of Eagle Point; brothers Richard Reynolds of Central Point and David Reynolds; four sons, Douglas Jackson Jr., Donnie Jackson, Charlie Jackson, James "EZ" Jackson, all of Eagle Point; and a grandson, Kurtis Jackson; many aunts, uncles, neices, nephews, cousins; and the love of her life, David Cunningham, of Medford.
Family was very important to Tori and Tori was very important to her family. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
A memorial service to celebrate Tori's life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 10, at Eagle Point Community Bible Church.

Virginia Helen Bergstrom
Virginia Helen Bergstrom, 82, of Ashland, died Friday, September 2, 2005 at Ashland Community Hopsital. No services are planned.
Mrs. Bergstrom was born August 22, 1923 in Vale, OR. She married
Robert Bergstrom on October 21, 1965 in Burlington, VT. They came to Ashland in 1979 from Beaverton, OR and had previously lived in Alaska.
Survivors include one son, Robert Kenderdine and his wife Brenda, of Medford, OR. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, on April 17, 1981 in Ashland.

Antonina Glogowski
Antonina Glogowski was born in Krakow, Poland on June 14, 1922. She and her husband Anthony Glogowski came to America after WW II and lived in Oregon raising their five children.
Antonina taught her children how to appreciate the simple joys in life.
She loved gardening, camping and cooking. Bringing her culture to the family, Polish food was her specialty. A devoted Catholic, Antonina will reunite with her husband in heaven and will dance with the Angels.
Survivors include sons, John Glogowski and Michael Glogowski; daughters, Helen Moore, Julie Luchterhand, and Katharyne Kennedy; four grandchildren, Antonina, Michelle, Michael and Jason; and five great-grandchildren, Hanna, Chase, Megan, Ashlynn, Kailey.
A Rosary will be held at 8 a.m. Friday, May 27 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Medford. A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 20, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Inurnment will be at Siskiyou Memorial Park. A reception will be announced at the Church.
