Harold Alvin Gundlach
Harold Alvin Gundlach, 82, of Medford, died July 6, 2004 at Medford Rehabilitation Center.
The graveside service will be at 11 a.m., Friday, July 9 at Jacksonville cemetery, Rev. Dave Gomez of Jerusalem Church officiating. A memorial potluck will follow at 12:30 Friday, July 9 at Donahoe-Frohnmayer Park, 1687 Spring St., Medford.
Harold was born Feb. 6, 1922 in Custer, South Dakota to George H. and Francis A. (Garcia) Gundlach. He came from a large family (14 siblings) of ranchers. Nicknamed "Cowboy" and "Hal, " he enjoyed rodeos, big family dinners, western music, dancing, fishing, and hunting. He played the harmonica together with the family who played banjo. Harold had a wonderful sense of humor.
Survivors include: his brothers, Leland of Baker, MT, George of Richfield, WA, Jack of Chiliquin, Doug of Mile City, MT, and Don of Mile City, MT; sisters, Mavis Muzziol of Medford, Betty Jo Evans of Medford, Gloria Heggen of Shepherd, MT, Virginia Brown of Mile City, MT, Shirley Meyer of Mile City, MT, Beverly Hekman of Agusta, MT, Barbara Holm of Billings, MT, and Darlene Gundlach of Beach, North Dakota; sons, Clinton of Mazula, MT, David of Arras, BC, Canada, Mike and Randy, both of Medford; daughters, Julie Bricks of Helena, MT, Debbie Bishop of Grants Pass, Shelly Hewitt and Frances Threets, both of Medford; companion, Maggie Rose Grotte of Medford; two stepdaughters, Marge Snow and Pam Hansen, both of Gold Hill; 20 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sons, Rory and Tracy.

Nina N. Day
The memorial service for Nina N. Day will be Saturday, July 10, 2004 at 1 p.m., at Hillcrest Chapel. Rev. Lester Stephens will officiate.
Mrs. Day, 73, of Medford, died July 3, 2004, at her home.
She was born July 28, 1930, in Sikeston, Missouri, to William and Laura (Priester) Burns. On February 26, 1948, she married
John T. Day, who survives.
They are long time residents of the Rogue Valley. In the 1960s she worked as a Nurses Aid at Rogue Valley Medical Center.
Mrs. Day enjoyed gardening, reading, traveling, bunny rabbits, music boxes, cascade pool, and had a red glass collection.
In addition to her husband, John, survivors include: two sons, James T. Day-Guide of Brookings and Charles Day, Sr. of Astoria; one daughter, Zallie "Lucky" N. Day of Astoria; one sister, Louise Thomas of Vernon, Alabama; and four grandchildren.

Calvin E. Murphy, Jr., 65, of Eagle Point, died October 22, 2005 at St. Charles Medical Center, Bend.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, October 28 at the Trail Christian Fellowship Church with Pastor Don Homes officiating. A graveside service will follow at the Eagle Point National cemetery.
A visitation will be held Thursday at Conger-Morris Medford Chapel from 3-7:30 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Marine Corps Leadership Scholarship Fund.
Calvin was born July 24, 1940 in Tacoma, WA, the son of Calvin and Alta (Norman) Murphy, Sr. He married
Barbara Terry on May 31, 1975 in Reno, NV.
Calvin and his family moved to the Medford area in 1996 from Loyalton, California, where he had retired from Pacific Gas and Electric Company.
He was a member of NRA, Loyalton Rotary, Marine Corps League, military Transport Young Marines Program, VFW, and very involved in the Boy Scouts, and 4H Clubs. He was a member of the Trail Christian Fellowship Church.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; seven children, Sherry Hunt of Susanville, CA, Erick Barron of Medford, Terry Barron of Medford; Jesse Barron of Susanville, CA, Debbie Baldwin of Strathmore, CA, Bret Murphy of Rancho Cordova, CA, and Greg Murphy of Ione, CA; two brothers, Tim Murphy of Oklahoma and Mike Murphy of Concord, CA; mother and step-father, Alta and Harold Thiesen of Brookings, CA; 20 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Joshua Barron.

Flora Evelyn Hegarty
A memorial Service for Flora Hegarty will be held in the First Church of the Nazarene Chapel at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 28, 2005. Pastor Kevin Gowland will officiate. Mrs. Hegarty died early Tuesday morning. She had Alzheimers disease and had suffered with it for more than three years.
Mrs. Hegarty was born Flora Evelyn Scheel, to Chris and Edna Scheel, July 23, 1919 in Ladysmith, WI. The family moved west in 1927 and settled in Medford, OR. She was active in the Nazarene Church. She graduated with a BS Degree in Nursing from NNC, Nampa, Idaho.
Her profession took her to Spokane, WA, for a number of years. She worked at the New School of Nursing at St.. Lukes Hospital as a Nursing Arts Instructor. Mrs. Hegarty met and married
Fred Green while there and raised two sons, Dale F. Green and Alan K. Green. In 1971, after her husband died, she returned to the Rogue Valley to take a position at Southern Oregon State College to be closer to family.
At SOSC, she earned her Master's Degree while working as a Nursing Instructor in 1976. She retired from the college in 1982 and married
Austin Hegarty the same year.
Her parents and six siblings, Ethel Komstad (Arnold), Helen vonStein (Neville), Mabel Johnson (Joe), Loren Scheel (Rachel), Maurice (Red) Scheel (Marie) and Ann Stark (Kenneth) all preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Austin, a sister Janet Hall (Sam), two sons, Alan K. Green (Christy), Dale F. Green (Debby), two grandsons, Daniel & David Green.

Janelle Buser
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Janelle Buser will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 29, 2005 at the Harvest Baptist Temple, 2001 S. Columbus, Medford. Pastor Paul Winters of the Harvest Baptist Temple will officiate. A private family service will be held Monday.
Janelle, 47, of Medford, died Saturday (October 22, 2005) at home with her loved ones by her side.
She was born on July 20, 1958 in Portland, OR to Clarence and Beulah Buser.
Janelle worked for many years as a seasonal worker for Bear Creek Corp.
She enjoyed trips to the coast, playing cards, and taking care of her neice and nephew, who she loved as if they were her own children. She especially loved just hanging out with her sister, Rebecca.
Survivors include her mom, Beulah Carr of Medford; sister, Rebecca Taylor of Central Point; brothers, Raymond Buser of Seattle, Dale Carr of Central Point; beloved nephew, Christopher Meracle; and beloved neice, Sara Meracle both of Central Point. She was preceded in death by a sister, Linda; and her father.

Lorrie Rachael Roberts
Lorrie Rachael Roberts died Monday, October 24, 2005.
Lorrie was born October 23, 1960 in Roseburg, but spent most of her childhood in Cottage Grove. She married
her husband Robin Roberts in 1985. Together, they raised three sons.
Lorrie spent most of her business life in real estate related endeavors. She owned and ran a successful mortgage company, and later went on to train real estate sales persons, many of whom are still active and quite successful.
Lorrie's passions in life were her family and her horses. She also loved the tropics.
She is survived by her three sons, Steven, Mathew, and Blake; and her husband, Robin.
Services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, October 29, 2005, at Valley Christian Fellowship, Hwy. 62 and Ave. A, White City.

Daniel Ray Tonole
Daniel Ray Tonole, 49, of Medford, died October 21, 2005 due to a brain aneurysm.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
Daniel was born on February 5, 1956 in Cottage Grove to Eugene and Lois Tonole. He graduated from North Bend High School in 1974, and then moved to Medford in 1990.
He worked for the Kodak Plant in White City.
Daniel loved to play horseshoes, pool, and watching sporting event.
He is survived by his parents, Gene and Jan Tonole of North Bend, and Lois and Lee Everist of Eagle Point; sisters, Brenda Tonole-Melvin and her husband, Don of Roseburg, and Helen Bonelli of Cupertino, CA; brothers, Johnny Tonole of Salem and Jimmy Tonole of Florence. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
