By Marty Martindale:
"Early this morning Marji Wall passed away after a valiant eight year battle with cancer. You may remember Marji as the lady on the field in the wheel chair that each player and coach greeted at the end of warmups prior to the Arizona game. Even John Canzano wrote a nice article about the event and Marji's lifelong love affair with the Ducks in the Oregonian.
Some say that Marji lived for Duck football. The doctors expected the cancer beat her a number of years ago, yet Marji stubbornly held on for each new football season while always remaining positive and never seeking pity.
Marji Wall was a wonderful lady whose smile brought joy to many people. In this life or the next, Marjie will always be one of the all-time great Duck fans.
Rest in peace Marji, except when the Ducks take the field because I suspect you'll be watching."
