LEROY THOMPSON
OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - Leroy Thompson, 64-year old resident of West Siloam Springs, Okla., died Sunday, March 23, 2003 in Oklahoma City.
Born March 1, 1939 in Paris, Ark., he was the son of Clayborn Thompson and Opal Cameron Thompson. He was a self-employed truck driver and was a member of God's Lighthouse Church in West Siloam Springs.
Survivors include his wife, Lee of the home; three daughters, Jennifer Hay and husband, Mike of West Siloam Springs, Joni Rodriguez and husband, Gary of Las Vegas, Nev., and Ann Thompson and fiancée, Roger Gatewood of West Siloam Springs; four brothers, B.J. Thompson of Phoenix, Ariz., Paul Thompson of Russellville, Ark., Ray Thompson of Paris, Ark. and Bill Thompson of Paris; three sisters, Helen Sowell of Modesto, Calif., Cora Funderburg of Gilbert, Ariz., and Barbara Thompson of Los Angeles, Calif; six grandchildren; and several aunts and uncles.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, March 28, at Mac Henry Cemetery, north of Subiaco, Ark., with Rev. David King officiating. Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m., Thursday, March 27, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Ark.
Arrangements are under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.

MARTHA ANGALE ROBINSON THOMPSON
COLCORD, Okla. - Martha Angale Robinson Thompson, 69 of Colcord, died February 1, 2003, in Tulsa, Okla. Mrs. Thompson was born September 6, 1933 in Carnagie, Okla. to T.A. Phipps and Sylvia Nance Phipps. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Westville, Okla. and attended church at the Pentecostal Church of God in Gentry, Ark.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Joy Harrelson and Carol Graham; and one brother, Alexander Phipps.
Survivors include: three sons, Bobby Robinson and wife, Dorothy, of Colcord, Charles Robinson and wife, Cathy, of Cardin, Okla., Calvin Robinson and wife, Reba, also of Colcord; one daughter, Rovita Gifford and husband, Donval, of Westville; four sisters, Bessie Robinson of Siloam Springs, Ark., Girlie Daughtery and Shirley Kroger both of Watts, Okla., Barbara Rhann, also of Siloam Springs; one brother, Buster Phipps of Watts; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 6, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs. Burial will follow at Martin Cemetery near Siloam Springs. A visitation will be held Tuesday, from 6-8 p.m., at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs. Arrangements are under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.

NINA L. THOMPSON
FAIRLAND, Okla. - Nina L. Thompson, resident of Fairland, died at Integris Grove General Hospital on Monday morning, January 20, 2003 after lengthy illness. She was 91. Mrs. Thompson was born August 8, 1911, to Jay R. and Alice M. Sneed Campbell, at Putnam, Okla. She married Floyd A. Thompson on August 20, 1929. He preceded her in death on March 11, 1999. She moved to Fairland in 1983 from Mooreland, Okla., and was a member of the First Christian Church of Fairland. She is survived by: two nephews and their spouses, Gary and Leona Campbell of Fairland, and Bobby and Diana Campbell of Enos, Texas; a niece and her husband, Evelyn and Carter Carlton of Miami, Okla.; and a sister-in-law Rudy Campbell of Fairland.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, January 23, at First Christian Church in Fairland, with minister Brain Giebler officiating. A private interment at Fairland Cemetery will follow the service. Arrangements are provided by Adcock Funeral Home of Fairland.

OPAL FAYE THURLOW
Opal Faye Thurlow, 83, of Glendale, Ariz. passed away September 23, 2003. Opal was born in Quapaw, Okla. February 10, 1920. She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Thurlow-Hensler; her son, Fountain Thurlow; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and her sister, Katherine.
Services to be held at a later date. Donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85016.

GENETA KAY TIMMONS
VINITA, Okla. - Geneta Kay Timmons, 54 year old Vinita resident, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2003, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Okla.
Geneta was born July 9, 1948 to John Edward Maloney and Charlotte Ann (Hibler) Maloney. She was a school teacher at White Oak School.
Surviving family members include: her husband, Jim, of the home; one daughter, Brooke Timmons and husband, Ryan Hawkins, of Tulsa; and one brother, Jay Maloney, of Monroe City, Mo.
A Rosary will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, January 24, at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church. Following the Rosary there will be an old Fashioned Irish Wake held at Geneta's home, 1552 E. Country Club Road in Vinita.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, January 25, at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church. Father Alex Kennedy will officiate. Interment of remains will take place at a later date in Calvary Cemetery in Tulsa.
The family has requested donations to the Holy Ghost Catholic Church, in Vinita, in lieu of flowers.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Burckhalter Funeral Home.

WARD F. TRAMMELL
COLCORD, Okla. - Ward F. Trammell, RMCM USN Ret. 73, of Colcord, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2003, at his home.
Ward was born on June 12, 1929 in Bird City, Kan., a son of Thomas Fred Trammell and Gertrude Estella Lavell Trammell. He married Norma Lorrayne Shelley in Siloam Springs, Ark. on January 2, 1952. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in February of 1948. During his enlistment he was in communications as a radio operator and served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He served his country with honor and distinction until his retirement in 1968, with over 20 years of service. Following his Naval career, he went to work for the U.S. Postal Service as a rural route carrier, and retired from it also after 20 years. He was active as a HAM radio operator, being past president and an instructor in the Ozark Wireless Society. He was a member of several organizations, including the American Legion, D.A.V., Fleet Reserve, and was past president of the Colcord Alumni Association.
Ward was an ordained deacon and had been a member of the First Baptist Church of Kansas, Okla.
Survivors include his wife, Lorrayne Trammell of Colcord; one daughter, Kathryn and husband, Wayne Brown of Van Buren, Ark.; one son, Michael and wife, Susan Trammell of Colcord; two sisters, Freda Shelley of Montclair, Calif. and Leola Whiteley and husband, Cecil, of Aguanga, Calif; two brothers, Loris and wife, Betty Trammell of Tulsa, Okla. and William and wife, Angel Trammell of Sarasota, Fla.; three grandchildren, Shaunna Bonifant, Cortney Brown, Wayne Lee Brown, Jr.; seven step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
He was preceded by two sisters, Leota Trammell and Lucy Ward, one brother, Van F. Trammell, and a grandson-in-law, Eric Bonifant.
Services will be held on Friday, March 14, 2002, at 10 a.m. at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Chapel. Brother John Crowley will officiate the service with burial being held at the Gentry Cemetery with Military honors under the direction of the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Good Shepherd Hospice, 2100 S. Main, Suite 2086, Grove, OK 74344.

RAYMOND EUGENE TROTTER
VINITA, Okla.-Raymond Eugene Trotter, 75 years old, Vinita resident, entered into rest on Wed., Feb. 12, 2003 at the home of his daughter in Coffeyville, Kan. following an extended illness.
Raymond was born Dec. 27, 1927 in Vinita, to Frank and Eva Trotter. He served four years with the U. S. Navy. He worked for nine years as a police officer in Coffeyville, Kan. and worked as a bus driver for Regional Transit in Denver, Colo. for 23 years before retiring due to health reasons.
Raymond was married to Zella Bear. They were later divorced. He later married Rosetta Anaya, who preceded him in death after twenty-six years of marriage.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Richard Trotter and Kenneth Anderson I and a twin brother, Maymon Trotter.
Surviving family members include; two daughters, Cheryl Trotter of Coffeyville, Kan, Belinda Anderson of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two sons Glenn Anderson of Hesperia, Cal. Steve Anderson of Canon City, Colo.,; three sisters, Alice Hensley of Eugene, OR., Mary Kathryn Powell of Vinita, Lelah Duncan of Grove; six brothers, Melvin Trotter of Springfield, MO., George Trotter of Claremore, Bill Trotter, Ray Trotter, Gary Trotter and Frank Trotter II all of the Grove area. Nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass was held at 12:00 p.m., Sat., Feb. 15 at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Vinita. Father Alex Kennedy officiated. Interment was in the Timpson Chapel cemetery.

WILLIAM F. TROTTER
COFFEYVILLE, Kan. - William F. Trotter, age 70, passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2003 at the Coffeyville Regional Medical Center Emergency Room. He was born on October 15, 1932 in Vinita, Okla. to Frank and Mary (Hensley) Trotter.
He was raised in the Vinita area attending school in Vinita as a child. His family moved to Coffeyville when William was 12.
Mr. Trotter served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict from December 1, 1950 to December 4, 1953.
He married Elsie Carrick on July 1, 1954 in Coffeyville, Kan. She preceded him in death on January 13, 1999. On July 8, 2000, he married Clara Loffer at the First Southern Baptist Church in Coffeyville. She survives of the home.
He worked for Jencast of Coffeyville in the Quality Control Department, retiring in 1995.
Memberships include, Grand Lake Baptist Church in Grove; 40-plus years at the First Southern Baptist Church of Coffeyville; Churchmen Quartet for the First Southern Baptist Church; lifetime member of V.F.W. Post #1022 of Coffeyville.
His hobbies include softball, golf, hunting, fishing, boating, outdoors, music and, most of all, his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife Clara of Grove; one son, Kevin Trotter of South Coffeyville; two daughters, Melanie Trotter of Broken Arrow, Okla. and Penny Webber of Coffeyville; one stepson, Larry Loffer of Coffeyville; one stepdaughter, Linda Ames of S. Coffeyville; 10 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five brothers, Roy, Gary and Frank Trotter of Grove, Okla.; Melvin Trotter of Springfield, Mo., George Trotter of Claremore, Okla.; three sisters, Katheryn Powell of Vinita, Lelah Duncan of Grove and Alice Hensley of Eugene, Ore.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, one infant son, Terry Ellis Trotter, two brothers, Gene and Ramon.
Visitation will be held from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 29.
Cremation has taken place and graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 31, in the Veterans Memorial Center of the Fairview City Cemetery of Coffeyville. Revs. Rich Jenkins and Larry Moore will officiate. V.F.W. Post #1022 of Coffeyville will be conducting military rites.
The family has suggested memorial contributions to First Southern Baptist Church of Coffeyville or the Grand Lake Baptist Church, c/o Graves Funeral Home.
Family will be gathering at the home of Larry Loffer, 3306 W. 4th Street in Coffeyville.
Graves Funeral Home of Coffeyville is in charge of arrangements.

JOEL E. TRUITT
Joel E. Truitt, 63 year-old resident of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, died Sunday, October 12, 2003, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Born November 27, 1939, in Decatur, Arkansas, he was the son of Leonard Truitt and Irene Loux Truitt.
Mr. Truitt was a life-long resident of Northwest Arkansas. He was a graduate of Decatur High School. Joel was a U.S. Naval veteran, serving in Cuba at Guantanamo Bay. He married Sue Trammell September 2, 1962, and graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1964, with a degree in Poultry Science. He then began a 43-year career in the poultry industry. Joel started in production and retired as Technical Service manager for Cobb-Vantress in Siloam Springs. he was named Poultry Man of the Year by the Poultry Federation of Arkansas, Oklahoma and Missouri at the 44th annual Poultry Festival in Hot Springs, Arkansas, during June of 2003.
He is survived by his wife Sue of the home; 2 sons, Bradly Truitt and wife Ann of Fort Smith, Arkansas; Bryan Truitt and wife Stephanie of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; 2 grandsons, Austin and Parker Baldwin both of Siloam Springs; 2 granddaughters, Kate and Amy Truitt of Fort Smith; father Leonard Truitt of Decatur, Arkansas; 1 brother, Glen Truitt and wife Janie of Springdale, Arkansas; 1 sister, Kay Hoggard and husband Gene of Plano, Texas; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funerals services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2003, at Wasson memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, with Dr. Larry Petton officiating. Burial will follow at Falling Springs Cemetery near Decatur. Visitation was held Tuesday, October 14, at Wasson funeral home.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Siloam Springs High School Scholarship Fund, 1500 W. Jefferson, Siloam Springs, AR 72761.

HELEN TURNER
SPRINGDALE, Ark. - Helen Turner, 82-year old resident of Siloam Springs, Ark., died Friday, May 23, 2003 in Springdale. Born August 21, 1920, in Inola, Okla., she was the daughter of Tom Dill and Artie Sexton Dill.
Helen had lived most of her life in the Decatur and Siloam Springs area. She was a beautician and former owner/operator of Midway Diner between Siloam and Gentry, Ark. Helen was a member of First Baptist Church in Gentry and the West Point Ladies Club. She was an avid blowler and had bowled in the Siloam and Gentry leagues, making it to the league national finals several times. She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Turner in 1989, and one great-grandson.
Survivors include two sons, James Turner and wife, Linda of Decatur, Ark., and Tommy Ray Turner and wife, Betty of Decatur; three daughters, Annis Mae Cripps and husband, Lemuel of Gentry, Linda Kaye Dingman of Anchorage, Ala., Esta Faye Combs and husband, Jim of Siloam Springs; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one brother, Wesley Dill and wife, Pearl of Sallkisaw, Okla.; two sisters, Dorthy Smith and husband, Harry of Grove, Okla., Gladys Harris of Decatur; and a number of nieces and nbephews.
Visitation was Monday, May 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs. Funeral Services were at 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 27, at First Baptist Church in Gentry with Dr. Robin H. Cowin and Rev. Mike Walker officiating. Burial followed in Falling Springs Cemetery near Decatur.
