JOHN L. FLESCH
SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Word has been received of the death of John L. Flesch, age 82, on May 7, 2003, at Lakeland Hospital, Niles, Ind.
Mr. Flesch was born February 24, 1921.
Survivors are his wife, Edith Carol; two stepsons, David Britton and Terry Britton, both of Bremen, Ind; three sisters, Mary Monnig, Lamar, Mo., Helen Brandt, Wichita, Kan., and Sister Mary Norbert, Joplin, Mo.; two brothers, Eugene Flesh, Salem, Ore., and Joseph Flesch, Missouri.
There will be no services or visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, South Bend, Ind.
MAX OLIVER FORD
TULSA, Okla. - Max Oliver Ford, 86, went to his heavenly home on June 26, 2003, at Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa.
Oliver, as most folks new him, was born on December 6, 1917, in Delaware County, Okla., to William and Nancy Ford. Oliver was a long time member of his church, the First Assembly of God. He was an elder of the church.
Oliver is survived by a daughter, Michael Marie "Mickey" Martin, and her husband, Bill; five precious grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Meda Underwood. Oliver was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Virginia; his parents; two sisters, Nelva and Billy; and one brother, Marvin.
Oliver was a retired county assessor and a farmer who loved his land. He always enjoyed being outside. He liked gardening and yard work. He was an avid reader of his Bible and liked to watch Trinity Broadcasting Network on the television.
Oliver had a great sense of humor, that is unless someone called him "Max." He enjoyed his pickup truck with its running lights, and spent a lot of time tinkering and working on his Jacobson tractor, until he got it fixed and running.
Services were held at the First Assembly of God Church in Jay on June 30, at 2:30 p.m. Arrangements were under the direction of Turner Funeral Services of Jay.
CHARLEY FOREMAN
Charley Foreman, 68 year-old resident of Colcord, Oklahoma, died September 24, 2003, at Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital, Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Born September 8, 1935 in Delaware County, Oklahoma, he was the son of Richard Foreman and Sarah Birdchopper Foreman. He was a lifetime resident of Delaware County and was a retired county road employee for District 3. He was an Army Veteran. Charley was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas Foreman and Jack Foreman.
Survivors include his wife Lydia of the home; one son, Vernon Foreman of Colcord, Oklahoma; five daughters, Faye Cochran of Kansas, Rita Robbins and Anna Potter, both of Colcord, Becky Foreman of Kansas, and Belinda Sinor of Leach, Oklahoma; 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; two sisters, Mae Wolfe and Nina Vann, both of Colcord; five brothers, Martin Foreman, Andy Foreman, Lee Foreman, and Edmond Foreman, all of Colcord, and John Foreman, of Salina, Oklahoma.
Funeral services
will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 27, at Old Clouds Creek Church, Delaware County, Oklahoma, with Fox Blackfox officiating. Burial will follow Clouds Creek Cemetery, Delaware County. Arrangements are under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
LOIS I. FOREMAN
MARIETTA, Ga. - Lois I. Foreman, 77, of Marietta, and a former El Dorado, Kan. resident, died Tuesday, February 11, 2003 at the home of her daughter in Marietta. Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 15, at Carlson Funeral Home, El Dorado. Interment
will follow in Walnut Valley Memorial Park.
She was born February 19, 1925 at Harper County, Kan., the daughter of Carl C. and Lutisha M. Melson Marchel. She graduated from Nursing School in Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital and then, on December 25, 1943, married Ralph Foreman at Augusta, Kan.
Lois worked for many years at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital, and she and her husband lived in El Dorado for over 40 years. They moved to Grove in August of 2000 and she had lived with her daughter since July of 2002. She was a member of First United Methodist Church; Ladies of the Moose; Eastern Star and was a life member of the American Nurses Association.
Those she leaves are a son Jerry Foreman, Gravette, Ark.; a daughter Judy Ball, Marietta; five grandchildren Gregory, Michael and Stephanie Foreman, Kristin Quimby and Jennifer Picerillo; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ralph, on June 2, 2001, three brothers and three sisters.
Memorials in her memory for Wellstar Community Hospice, Marietta, may be sent or left at Carlson Funeral Home, 200 S. Star, El Dorado, KS 67402.
Arrangements are under the direction of Carlson Funeral Home, El Dorado.
VIOLET MAE FOREMAN
Violet Foreman, age 63, died Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2003 in Siloam Springs, Ark. The daughter of John and Louise (Wakya) Wesho, she was born on Feb. 23, 1940 in Keshena, Wis. Violet was a member of the Menominee and Pawnee Nations Nations. She liked to make Native American crafts and attended the New Clouds Creek Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters Lorena Esclante, Jeanette Wesho, and Edna Litlegeorge, and two brother Clifford Wesho and Raymond Wesho.
Surviving: her husband Billy Foreman of Jay; two sons Marlin Bocanegra and Junior Bocanegra; a daughter DeAnna Escalante; three seisters Wanda Buzzard, Delores Littlegeorge, Norma Wesho; eight grandchildren in Colcord; Josh Swake, Jeremiah Bocanegra, Jesse Swake, Jonah Bocanegra, Mindy Bocanegra, Misty Bocanegra, Jelisa Escalante, and April Escalante; three grandchildren in Wis, Jolene Johnson, Jeremy Johnson, and Aliyah Littlegeorge; one great grandchild Sky Bocanegra.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. on Mon., Oct. 6 in the New Clouds Creek Church. The interment will be in Clouds Creek Cemetery. She will be at the house of her sister, Wanda Buzzard in Kenwood for visitation and viewing. The services are under the directions of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay.
WILLIAM "BILL" K. FOSTER
GROVE - William "Bill" K. Foster, 65, of Grove, Okla. formerly of Independence, Kan. passed away at his home in Grove Wednesday morning, March 26, 2003. Bill was born June 24, 1937 in Elk City, Kan. to Leonard and Edna Mae (McCarty) Foster. He attended school at the Rutland country school and later attended Elk City Schools. On Nov. 18, 1956, Bill married Carol Dean Parks of Elk City. Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Germany with a Combat Engineering Company from May of 1960 to May of 1962. He worked for the Kansas Department of Transportation for 42 years, retiring in 1997. He was a member of the Masons Carson Lodge 132 of Elk City and a member of the Cayuga Mission Church in Grove.
Bill is survived by his wife, Carol of Grove; two sons, William "Willie" Dean Foster of Independence and George Allen Foster of Claremore, Okla.; two brothers, Gary Foster and wife, Marilyn of Dewey, Okla. and Frank Foster and wife, Jodi of Independence; two sisters, Aquilla Ann Newkirk of Joplin, Mo. and Betty Redman and husband, Gary of Elk City; five grandchildren, Lindsey, Jake, Rachel, Emily Kate, and Quinn; and one great-grandchild, Koby. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-on-law, Gene Newkirk.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of the Webb & Rodrick Funeral Home and Crematory. Graveside memorial services for William "Bill" K. Foster will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 29, at the Mount Hope Cemetery. The family may be contacted at the home of Frank Foster, 2798 W. Maple, Independence. There will also be a memorial service at a later date at the Cayuga Mission Church in Grove. The family has suggested a memorial contribution to the American Cancer Society or choice of the donor. BETTIE LOUISE “JUNE BUG” FRAZIER
BENTONVILLE, Ark. – Bettie Louise Frazier, 58, died Sunday, December 29, 2002 in Bentonville.
The daughter of Claude and Wilora Harry (Scuggins), Mrs. Frazier was born on June 22, 1944 in Claremore, Okla. She married Jimmie J. Frazier on July 27, 1964.
Mrs. Frazier was a homemaker. She lived in Bentonville for 28 years. She loved cooking and keeping house. She was a friend to everyone. She is preceded in death by her father, Claude Harry, and one son, Henry Lee Frazier.
Survivors include: mother, Wilora Harry, of Jay; husband, Jimmie J. Frazier, of Bentonville; two children, Phyllis Boldra and husband, Jeff, of Bentonville, Claudine Riffe and husband, Daniel, Cassville, Mo.; two sisters, “Shug” Chunestudey, of Jay, Claudia Budder, of Jay; one brother, Reuben Harry; and five grandchildren, Michael Phan, Kim Phan, Westen Boldra, Stephanie Riffe, and Emily Riffe.
Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 2, 2003, at Brush Creek Baptist Church, Rev. Larry Pritchet officiated. Burial was in the Roundsprings Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Okla.
VIVIAN LAVERA GLENN FRIEND
CAVE SPRINGS, Ark. - Vivian LaVera Glenn Friend, age 79, of Cave Springs, died Tuesday, February 4, 2003 in Fayetteville, Ark. She was born April 11, 1923 in Drumright, Okla., the daughter of Millard B. and Stella Glenn. She was a homemaker and member of the Pentecostal Faith. She is survived by her husband Holly Lawrence Friend, of the home, to whom she was married 64 years; her children Boyd Friend of Cave Springs, Glenda Hodson of Cave Springs, Lanette Taylor of Rogers, Ark., Jerry Friend of Fayetteville, Rodney Friend of Springdale; 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers Bruce Glenn, Curtis Glenn and Chester Glenn, one sister Violet Glenn, and two grandsons.
Funeral services
were held at 10 a.m., Thursday 6, at the chapel of Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Springdale. Burial was in Cave Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Wendell Tillman, Douglas Friend, Bradley Friend, Stephen Friend, Adrian Friend, Joe Hodson, Matthew Friend and Joseph Friend.
AGNES I. FORBIS
TULSA, Okla. - Agnes I. Forbis, 53-year-old Quapaw, Okla. resident, passed away Monday, January 6, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center.
Agnes was born May 2, 1949 in Vinita, Okla. to Walter Jim and Lucille (Tayon) Galvin. She married Charles Forbis on August 10, 1967 in Vinita. Agnes was an employee of Outdoor Cap Co. for over 10 years and was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. Her greatest passion in life was spending quality time with her grandchildren. Agnes was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing and swimming.
Survivors include: her husband, Charles Forbis, of the home; mother, Lucille Galvin, of Vinita; two daughters and son-in-laws, Trish Wilson and Alan Smith, of Quapaw, and Sheila and Lyndon Dawson, of Grove, Okla.; a son and daughter-in-law, Charles Jr. and Cheri Forbis, of Quapaw; nine sisters and brothers-in-law, Bernice Galvin, of San Francisco, Calif., Jean Cass, of Vinita, Sharon Lechlider, of Vinita, Helen and Lewis Minson, of Vinita, Ethel and Steve McDorman, of Tulsa, Kathy and Allen Taylor of Tulsa, Mary Rains of Langley, Okla., Doris Simmons of Arkansas City, Kan., and Francis and Delbert Teal, of Claremore, Okla.; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Pete an Ouita Galvin, of Tulsa, Mike and Johnnie Galvin of Vinita, and Tim Galvin of Vinita; 11 grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Jim Galvin, and two brothers, George Galvin and Pat Galvin.
A Rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, January 9, at the Luginbuel Chapel. Mass will be Friday, January 10, at 10 a.m. at Holy ghost Catholic Church. Interment
will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Father Alex Kennedy will be officiating.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita.
MARILYN A. FULLER
JAY, Okla. - Marilyn A. Fuller, 80, died Wednesday, April 9, 2003 at Integris Grove General Hospital.
Marilyn Fuller was born on April 29, 1922 in Des Moines, Ia. to William R. and Bertha K. Speak. She was married to Raymond Fuller. He preceded her in death in 2001. She worked as a nurse's attendant.
Survivors include three daughters, Dolores Bland, Gloria Tate and Rhonda Fuller; three sons, Wesley Fuller, Ray Fuller and Ron Fuller; twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services
will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 13 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Jay, with Bill Norman and James Rainwater officiating. Interment
will be in Mt. Hermon Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay.
JAMES WARREN GALBRAITH
CARTHAGE, Mo. - James Warren Galbraith, 90 of Carthage, died at 5:45 p.m., Friday, May 23, 2003 at his residence.
Mr. Galbraith was born on March 9, 1913 in Carthage to Karr Galbraith and Maude (Ballard) Galbraith.
He formerly managed the Cook Paints, Columbia and Joplin, Mo., retired as the founder and CEO of G & W Distributors Wallpaper Manufacturing, Oklahoma City, Okla. He served in the U.S. Army in WWII, serving in the Philippines. He graduated in 1934 from the University of Arkansas with a business degree. He was a member of the Joplin Elks, Masonic Lodge #345 A.F.&A.M., Joplin Scottish Rite, Joplin Abou Ben Adhem, Springfield, Mo. Spiva Art Center, Joplin Humane Society, Slobbergut Football Team, and the Carthage High School Band. He was the leader and drummer of the Foster Whitton Rhythm Aces which played for the school dances. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved the outdoors.
Services were held on Tuesday, May 27, at the Ulmer Funeral Home Chapel, Carthage. Rev. Don Marshall and Rev. Robert Davis officiated. Burial followed at Park Cemetery. Pallbearers were Lynn Seaton, Harley Burns, Tommy Dunnaway, Claude Burns, Tim Hill, Bob H. Galbraith, and Gregg Galbraith. Honorary pallbearers were Bill Knight, Earl Biesner, Johnny Colson, James Burns, Sr. and Lyle Galbraith.
Music was provided by Milford Whedel, Jim Thompson, Chuck Wright, Valorie and Richard E. O'Brien and Jan Galbraith. Selections of music were "Any Time," "Roll the Rock Away," by Melford Whedel, "Daddy's Hands," "I Believe," by Jan Galbraith, "Maggie," and "Come Morning," by Jim Thompson.

SETH DAVID GAMET
VINITA, Okla. - Seth David Gamet, 49-year old Disney, Okla. resident, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2003, at Craig General Hospital following an extended illness.
Seth was born December 12, 1953 in Tulsa, Okla. to Carl Glen Gamet and Margery Virginia (Krebs) Gamet. He was a graduate of Hale High School in Tulsa. He was a carpenter by profession.
Seth was united in marriage to Cheryl Green on July 27, 1979 in Tulsa.
Seth is survived by his wife, Cheryl of the home and his mother, Margery Gamet of Joplin, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his father.
