Allen Odell Broome, 72, of Konawa died Tuesday at an Ada care center.
Graveside services
will be 11 a.m. today at Vamoosa Cemetery in Konawa with the Rev. Wade Scott officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Pickard-Swearingen Funeral Home.
Floyd E. Haley
Chandler resident Floyd Haley, 84, died Wednesday.
Services are pending with Parks Brothers Funeral Home of Chandler.
Gwendolyn Lee Jones
Konawa resident Gwendolyn Lee Jones, 63, died Friday at an Oklahoma City hospital.
She was born Jan. 13, 1940, to Gladys and Johnny Pickett.
She married Bobby Jones on May 27, 1957, in Konawa.
She worked as a machine operator for Wrangler in Seminole for 12 years.
She was a member of the Sasakwa Assembly of God Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son, David James Jones.
Survivors include her husband Bobby Jones of the home; son, Johnny Jones of Maud, daughter, LaDonna, and husband Aubry Bryce of Konawa; son, Eric, and wife Tiffany Jones of Saint Louis; and son and his wife, Michael and Shelly Jones of Shawnee; sister, Nyoka Griffin, and her husband Bobby of Shawnee; grandchildren, Shalene, McKayla, Justice, Chelsie, Michael and Erica Jones and Chenelle Fisher; and great-grandchildren, Carolyn, Samantha and Sherman Bryce; and many other relatives and friends.
Services were Tuesday at Sasakwa Assembly of God Church.
Kathryn Ann Moss
Kathryn Ann Moss, 59, of Cromwell died Tuesday at a Shawnee hospital
Survivors include her husband, Thomas A. Moss of the home; son, G. Michael Matthews of Dallas; stepsons, Larry D. Moss of Broken Arrow and Danny T. Moss of Noble; daughter, Mary Kathryn Matthews of Oklahoma City; stepdaughters, Cathy Hudson of Washington and Tamera Erickson of Richardson, Texas; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church of Cromwell with the Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating. Burial will follow at the Rest Haven Cemetery of Oklahoma City with the Rev. Timothy Fuller officiating at the graveside.
Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole.
Charles W. Hobbs Jr.
Charles W. Hobbs Jr., 72, of Shawnee died Tuesday at a Shawnee hospital.
He was born Oct. 27, 1930, in Haileyville to Charles W. Hobbs Sr. and Willie (Finch) Hobbs.
He grew up in the Cambria and Hartshorne area and graduated from Haileyville High School in 1948.
He married JoAnn Short on Aug. 30, 1952, in Shawnee.
The couple founded Charles Hair Design in October 1954 and Charles School of Hair Design in 1963. He was in the cosmetology business for 47 years.
He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, David W. Hobbs; and a brother, Leroy Hobbs.
Survivors include his wife, JoAnn Hobbs of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Cathy Hobbs and Larry and Carla Hobbs, all of Shawnee; daughter-in-law, Lara Hobbs; brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and JoAnn Hobbs; sister and brother-in-law, Lavada and Paul Ailey; grandchildren, Dustin, Katie, Lacy, Cody and Sabra; and one niece and two nephews.
Graveside services
will be 1 p.m. today at Resthaven Memorial Park in Shawnee with the Rev. Bill Matthews and the Rev. Phil Thompson officiating.

Ferrell D. Williams
Ferrell D. Williams, 67, of Macomb died Tuesday in Shawnee.
He was born May 2, 1936, in Macomb to Martin Talmedge and Lydia Ann (Ferree) Williams.
He graduated from Macomb High School in 1954 and was a lifelong resident of Macomb.
Williams worked as an electrician for Shawnee Milling Co. for 41 years, retiring in 1998. Following his retirement, he drove a transportation van for Tecumseh Sunset Estates and Rose Manor Nursing Home for several years.
On Jan. 24, 1969, he married Gwen Thomas in Shawnee. She preceded him in death on April 8, 1999. He then married Barbara England on Dec. 7, 2001, in Arkansas.
He was a member of Romulus Baptist Church and was a volunteer for the Macomb Fire Department for 18 years, serving as chief for five years.
Williams also was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Williams of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Tim and Jan Williams of Bartlesville and Aaron and Elizabeth Williams of Tecumseh; eight grandchildren; one brother, Fred Williams of Shawnee; and one sister, Maryane Tate of Shawnee.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Romulus Baptist Church with the Rev. Darrell Witten officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie View Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cooper funeral Home of Tecumseh.
Charles W. Hobbs
Charles W. Hobbs, 72, of Shawnee died Tuesday at a local hospital.
Graveside services
will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Resthaven Memorial Park, Shawnee. Services are pending with Resthaven Funeral Service.
James Inman
Tecumseh resident James Inman, 39, died Thursday in Shawnee.
He was born Dec. 29, 1963, in Modesto, Calif., to J.C. and Margaret Mary (Fetzer) Inman.
He grew up in California and moved to Dale in 1972. He graduated from Dale High School and lived primarily in Shawnee and Tecumseh since then.
On Dec. 12, 1986, he married Rhonda Stirman in Shawnee.
He was a tool and die maker and craftsman.
Survivors include his wife, Rhonda Inman; daughter, Taylor Inman; and son, James Inman II, all of the home; parents, J.C. and Margaret Inman of Earlsboro; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Cheryl and Jack Irvin of California and Dianna and Billy Mackey of California; mother-in-law, Evelyn Stirman of Tecumseh; and many other friends and relatives.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Tecumseh Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Sparks officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
Bassie Beatrice Solomon
Former Shawnee resident Bassie Beatrice Solomon died Monday in Orting, Wash.
She married Lloid C. Solomon in Norman, Nov. 13, 1948. Solomon was employed at Colonial Estates Nursing Home until her retirement and was a member of Philadelphia Church of God since 1962. She resided in Shawnee until moving to Washington in September 2002.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloid Solomon; a son and daughter-in-law, Donald E. and Betty Poff; four brothers, Willie, Fate, Thomas and Alvin Smith; four sisters, Revil Irene Owens, Onnie Mae Ritchie, Camie Lee Engler and Neva Nadine Smith.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary Lloid and Cathy L. Solomon of Linden, N.C., Eric Duane and Patti J. Solomon of Shawnee; two daughters and sons-in-law, Charmaine L. and Don Worley of Orting, Wash., and Paula L. Gibson of Shawnee; 20 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Resthaven Memorial Park of Shawnee with the Rev. Wayne Turgen officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
Betty J. Morgan
Tecumseh resident Betty J. "B" Morgan died Saturday in Shawnee at the age of 57.
She was born Oct. 29, 1945, in Monett, Mo., to Bill and Georgie (Blanton) Terrell.
She was reared in California, Trousdale and Tribbey, and graduated from Tribbey High School in 1963.
She moved to Tecumseh in 1969.
She married Michael D. Morgan on Dec. 27, 1963, at Tribbey.
She worked as a registrar with Tecumseh Public Schools at Central Oklahoma Juvenile Center until her retirement in May 2002.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Tecumseh.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Loyal Doyel Terrell Jr., and her stepfather, David H. Wright.
Survivors include her husband, Mike Morgan of the home; two sons and one daughter-in-law, John David and Kristy Morgan of Fort Worth, Texas, and Ernie Morgan and fiancee, Shannan Bledsoe, both of Shawnee; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Mary Garretson of Tecumseh and Jimmie and Jim White of Sherwood, Ark.; daughter-in-law Michelle Morgan of McLoud; four grandchildren, Jessica Lea, Joshua, Daniel and Abigail Morgan; nine stepbrothers and stepsisters, and many other friends and relatives.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Cooper Funeral Chapel of Tecumseh with the Rev. W.F. Crow and the Rev. Jim Rutters officiating.
Burial will be in Wanette Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home.
Bonnie Helen Payne
Noble resident Bonnie Helen Payne, 92, died Thursday at a Noble health care center.
She was born in Shawnee on Nov. 24, 1910, to Allen T. "Dick" Richards and Mary Ethyl (Clayton) Richards.
She graduated from Shawnee High School in 1928 and attended Oklahoma Baptist University for one year.
On Sept. 26, 1932, she married Clarence O. Payne.
They owned and operated Payne Electrical Service in Shawnee for 30 years and Joyland Kiddies Park in Shawnee for 10 years.
She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Shawnee since 1951.
Her parents, husband, two sisters and three brothers preceded her in death.
Survivors include her son, Clarence O. Payne Jr. and wife, Shirley, of Norman; grandson, Randall Payne and wife, Barbara, of Oklahoma City; granddaughter, Cynthia Sue Nieves and husband, Jorge, of Sicklerville, N.J.; three great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren, a stepdaughter, Evelyn Lee Linden of Mountain View, Calif.; grandson, Dr. Mark Brinkley of Fremont, Calif.; granddaughter, Marcia Majka and husband, Ken, and a great-grandson; brothers, Vernon Richards of Sun City, Fla., and Bill Richards and wife, Anne, of Tulsa; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Sam Hendry officiating. Gaskill-Owens Funeral Home is in charge of services.
Joe Harvey Robbins
Shawnee resident Joe Harvey Robbins, 72, died Friday at an Oklahoma City hospital.
He was born Feb. 19, 1931, in Oklahoma City, the middle son of Montia Robbins and Sena Mae (Barnard) Robbins.
He married Melba Charlene Golden on May 10, 1952.
He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Japan during the Korean conflict.
After his military service, he worked for Meadow Gold Dairy as a delivery man, covering Shawnee and the surrounding areas.
He retired in 1995 after working for more than 40 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and brother, Otis Robbins.
Survivors include one daughter, Ronda Rene Parker and husband, David, of Deer Creek; son, Randy Ray Robbins and wife, Peggy, of Earlsboro; four grandchildren, Tony Robbins of Earlsboro, Charla French and husband, Jeff, of Shawnee, Kelley Parker of Deer Creek and Kimberly Parker of Deer Creek; one brother, Carl Robbins of Shawnee; several nieces and nephews, including two that he raised, Bo Robbins of Earlsboro and Suzie Mercer of Midland, Texas; several foster children and other relatives.
Funeral will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Resthaven Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Larry Sparks officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park, under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
