Maudie Fern Coffey
Services for Maudie Fern (Griffin) Coffey of Seminole have been changed.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Swearingen Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Larry Chesser Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
Maudie M. Kubiak
Maudie M. Kubiak, 93, Harrah, died Tuesday.
The daughter of Martin and Belle Higdon was born Jan. 22, 1908, in Jones.
Survivors include her daughters, Jerry Crawford of Georgia, and Jolene Steciak of Harrah; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and many other relatives.
Mass services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Teresa's Catholic Church, Harrah. Burial will be at St. Teresa's Catholic Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Asa Smith Funeral Service, Harrah.
Charles Orville Youell
Charles Orville Youell, Moore, died Tuesday in Oklahoma City at the age of 76.
He was born Jan. 21, 1925, in Agra, the son of Sterling Youell and Rose (Spurgeon) Cochran. He had lived in Moore for one month, having moved from Bartlesville, his home for 20 years.
He served in the U.S. Navy for four years and also served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
On March 20, 1946, he and Vesta Drake were married in Chandler.
Youell was a member of Victory Church in Bartlesville and was a retired gasoline plant operator.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one sister.
Survivors include his wife of the home; his son, John Youell of Oklahoma City; two daughters, Filese Hauser of Oklahoma City, and Etta Spirlock of Sapulpa; a brother, Thomas "Billy" Cochran of Rogers, Ark.; sister, Delorse Blakely of Fort Worth, Texas; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Parks Brothers Chapel in Stroud. The Rev. John Youell will officiate. Burial will be in the Kendrick Cemetery.
Rex Farmer
Rex Farmer, Stroud died Wednesday in Stroud. He was 85.
Services are pending under the direction of Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel.
Margaret Wissinger
Margaret Wissinger died Wednesday at her home in Shawnee.

Wilson E. Laurent
Wilson E. Laurent died Saturday in an Oklahoma City hospital. The Oklahoma City resident was 91.
The son of Charles A. and Cora Ann (Perry) Laurent was born in Wanette on Aug. 12, 1909.
He attended Wanette schools.
He and Veneda (Burroughs) Speaks were married in Wanette on March 26, 1967.
Laurent owned and operated Laurent Hardware for 30 years.
Laurent was a member of the Wanette First Baptist Church, where he taught a men's Sunday school class for 40 years. He also served as a deacon and trustee of the church.
Laurent served as a trustee of Mission Hill Hospital from 1963 to 1986. He served on the Pottawatomie County Development Authority from 1977 to 1986, and served 12 years on the city of Wanette Board of Trustees.
He had been a member of the Wanette Lions Club since 1965, was a member of the American Bible Society, the F.F.A. Boosters Club and was named "Honorary Chapter Farmer" one year.
He also was chairman of the Board of Trustees at the Wanette Senior Citizens Center from 1977 to 1997 and a trustee of the Wanette War Memorial.
Preceding him in death were his first wife, Minnie D. Laurent; stepdaughters, Ailene Walker and Mildred Hood; sisters, Anna Boatwright, Cora Nell Cooley, Roseland Dodd, Licille Miller, and Effie Henry; and a brother, Irvin Laurent.
Survivors include his wife of the home; sisters, Clara Laurent and Mabel Laurent, both of California; stepsons and stepdaughters-in-law, Robert and Frona Hunsicker of Shawnee and Roscoe and Betty Hunsicker of Putnam City; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Wanette. The Rev. Virgle Clavert will officiate. Burial will be in Wanette Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.
Danny Eaden Banta
Danny Eaden Banta, 58, died Wednesday.
He was born June 30, 1942, in Wanette, the son of John and Sulphurene (Vestal) Banta. He was reared in Shawnee by his mother and stepfather.
Banta served in the U.S. Army for a short term.
He lived in Midwest City for 25 years. He worked as a trucker for 35 years before retiring to work in property management.
Preceding him in death was his son, Bryan Banta.
Survivors include his wife Carol of Texas; his first wife, Ivena, of Del City; children and their spouses, Sherry Valderaz of Del City, Terri and Sam Gugino of Midwest City, Danny Banta of Del City, Teddy and Jamie Banta of Del City, Tammy and John Story of Choctaw and Shawn and Leah Lawson of Tecumseh; brother, Jerry Pickles of Corona, Calif.; sister, Billie Anderson of Shawnee; 14 grandchildren; and many other relatives.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel. A burial service will follow at 2 p.m. at Wanette City Cemetery under the direction of Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, Del City.
Florine Vera Struble
Florine Vera Struble died Saturday in Stroud at the age of 84.
She was born Sept. 6, 1916, in Monteague, Texas, the daughter of Dan and Zora Mae (Trotter) Webster.]
Struble was a longtime resident of Stroud, where she was a member of First Christian Church for many years.
She also was a member of the VFW Auxiliary.
On Dec. 26, 1933, she married Lawrence L. Struble in Perry. She was a homemaker.
Preceding her in death were her husband, parents, three sisters and three brothers.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Pam Struble of Enid; daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Virgil Shipman of Stroud and Beverly and Paul Smith of Hayden, Ala.; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel, Stroud. The Rev. Sandy Chase will officiate. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, Pawnee.
Edgar Isac Coker
Edgar Isac Coker, 90, died Friday in Okemah.
He was born in Non, Okla., on March 3, 1911, the son of John Henry Coker and Ada Bell (Wileman) Coker.
On Oct. 14, 1933, he married Vera Marie Arnold in Bristow. They were married for 67 years.
Before retirement, Coker worked as a pumper with Doak and Hughes Oil Company for 50 years. He lived in Okfuskee County most of his life and was a member of Last Chance Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents, four brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include his wife of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Nolan and Chloe Ann Coker of Cromwell and Larry and Diana Coker of Coral Gables, Fla.; daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Mac Smith of Okemah; sisters, Louise McLain of Brisow and Mildred Lankford of Sapulpa; grandsons, Lee Coker of Tuttle, Craig Coker Smith of Edmond, and Donny Coker of Kilgore, Texas; and granddaughters, Allison Smith of Denver, Colo., Kelley Coker Milton of Ponca City, Melissa Smith Battaglia of Okemah, Lara Coker Goldman of Midland, Mich., and Stacy Coker of Kilgore, Texas.
Also surviving Coker is a nephew he helped to raise, Dale Coker and his wife Ola.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Last Chance Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. The Rev. Jim Waller will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah.
Nova Lane Shaw
Nova Lane Shaw, 92, died Friday at North Plains Care Center.
Shaw was born on Dec. 6, 1908, and was a native of Paden. At the time of her death, she had been living in Borger, Texas, for 68 years.
Shaw was a member of First Christian Church.
She worked as a chart clerk for Phillips Petroleum.
Preceding her in death were her first husband, Cecil Lane, in 1948; second husband, Barney Shaw in 1979; son, Don Lane; and brother, Troy Wyckoff.
Survivors include her sons, Jack Lane of Stinett, Texas, and Dave Lane of Groom, Texas; stepchildren, Buck Shaw of Tyler, Texas, and Clyde Shaw of Savannah, Ga.; six grandsons; two great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Prague Cemetery. The Rev. Steve Roach of First United Methodist Church in Prague will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Brown Funeral Directors, Borger, Texas.
Lillie Bell Morrow
Lillie Bell Morrow, 90, Okemah, died Friday in New Orleans, La.
The daughter of Clinton Parrish Dennis and Mary Louise Bell Dennis was born Aug. 31, 1910, in Smithville, Mo. She moved to the Okemah area in 1925.
On Aug. 12, 1926, she and William Lester "Huddy" Morrow were married in Muskogee.
Mrs. Morrow was a retail clerk and taught Sunday school at Okemah First Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her husband and parents.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Patty Morrow of Okmulgee; three daughters and a son-in-law, Joyce and Tom Yates of Henryetta, Deanna Patty of New Orleans and Connie Williamson of Oklahoma City; a sister, Mary Volk of California; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Okemah with burial at Rock Creek Cemetery with Dennis Yates officiating.
James Mize
Tecumseh resident James Mize died Saturday in a local hospital. He was 78.

Carl "Cowboy" Renfro died Saturday in an Oklahoma City hospital at the age of 72.
