Jill Shields
Jill Shields, 66, Harrah, died Saturday in a local hospital.
She was born May 19, 1932, in Clarksville, Tenn., to Eugene and Gwen (Williams) Elliott. She worked as a nurse for 40 years, including at Shawnee Regional Hospital from 1965 to 1994.
She is survived by her husband, Don, of Harrah; sons David and Chris Shields; daughters Jan Ross and Penny Kesler; sister Gwen Van Slyke; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services
will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Dale Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Asa Smith Funeral Service, Harrah.
Kevin Jeanson
Kevin Jeanson, 41, Guthrie, died Wednesday in Knoxsville, Tenn.
He was born May 14, 1957, in Shawnee to Shirley and Norman Jeanson.
He attended high schools in Long Beach, Calif., and Bartlesville and attended Missouri Southern before graduating from the University of Central Oklahoma, Edmond.
He married Candice Evans, Long Beach, Calif., and he was the owner of Jeanson Trucking Company.
He is survived by his wife, of the home; sons Shawn and Kyle Evans, of the home; his parents, Oklahoma City; grandmother Zula Morrel, Harrah; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Thelma Jeanson, and grandfather John Morrel.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel with Bill Matthews and Phil Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Buster Cecilia Wolf
Buster Cecilia Wolf, 71, Seminole, died Friday at a local hospital.
She was born July 12, 1928, in Seminole to Samsochee Alexander and Buster Cecilia (Alexander). She married Jack Wolf in Seminole in 1947. She was a homemaker and a member of Little River Gospel Mission.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son Joseph Wolf, in 1959; daughter Gwendalyn Wolf, in 1982, and two sisters.
Survivors include her husband, Seminole; son Larry Wolf, Oklahoma City; two daughters and a son-in-law, Patty and Steve Yeager, Seminole, and Jackie Wolf, of the home; sister Carol McNac, Okmulgee; and brother Andrew Alexander, Shawnee.
A wake will be at Little River Mission at 7 p.m. Monday. Funeral services
will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hitchittee Methodist Church. Burial will be in Hitchittee Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.
Laviero Michael Mancinelli Sr.
Laviero Michael Mancinelli Sr. died Jan. 16 at his Shawnee residence. He was 82.
Graveside memorial will be held in the spring at St. Francis Cemetery of Canute, Okla.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Frances Barbara (Steffgen) Mancinelli.
Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Frankie Joe Greenham, Monrovia, Calif.; Gloria and Peter Gaeding, Schaumburg, Ill.; Roseanne and Douglas McPherson, San Gabriel, Calif.; son and daughter-in-law, Laviero M. Jr. and Tien Nguyen, San Francisco, Calif.; sister-in-law, Anna Taliaferro, Tecumseh, four grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and many other relatives.
Noel Langston
Noel "Shorty" Langston, 70, Cushing, died Friday in Cushing.
Langston was born March 4, 1928, in Calico Rock, Ark., to Marl and Viola (Lawson) Langston. He moved to Dale in 1941 where he attended Dale Public Schools.
He married Mae Tackett on April 14, 1953, in Shawnee. They moved to Cushing in 1971.
He owned and operated Langston Electric Motor Service in Cushing until he retired in September 1998.
Survivors include his wife, Mae Langston, of the home; son, Mark Langston, Cushing; daughter, Kim Maxwell, Cushing; daughter and son-in-law, Kelley and Mark Williams, Cushing; six grandchildren, Josh Maxwell, Heather Cannon, Season Maxwell, Randi Langston, Kyle Williams and Eric Williams; brother, Bill Langston, Tecumseh; brother and sister-in-law, Lonnie and Betty Langston, Shawnee; sister, Sue Thompson, Dale; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Oren and Loren Langston; and one sister, Mary Bowers.
Graveside services
will be 2 p.m. Monday in the Harrell Cemetery, east of Cushing, under the direction of Davis Funeral Home, Cushing, with Bro. Tony Black and Bro. Marvin Skinner officiating.
Frank Joseph Mushinski
Frank Joseph Mushinski died Thursday in Monroe, La. He was 88.
Mushinski was born May 18, 1910, in Mizerka, Poland, to Stella and Peter Mushinski. He came to the United States in February of 1913 when his family settled in Hainesport, N.J.
Mushinski married Imogene Brown on March 30, 1944. He lived in New Jersey until retiring in 1977, when he moved to Oklahoma. He had lived in Sulphur and Norman.
He served during World War II in the Pacific and European Theaters and Pearl Harbor. He achieved the rank of master sergeant and won many medals of honor. He was a member of the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Jean; sons and daughters-in-law, Frank and Paula Mushinski, Bastrop, La.; Stan and Linda Mushinski, Altamonte Springs, Fla.; and Ken and Marcy Mushinski, Wrightstown, N.J.; daughters and sons-in-law, Jackie McKinney, Oklahoma City; Patricia and Cal Brooks, Elon College, N.C.; Christine and Gene Ladusau, Moore; 21 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Henry, Murph, Charlie, Walt and Joe; and his sister, Stella.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Seminole.

Ninnie Irene Lombard
Longtime Okemah resident Ninnie Irene Lombard died Friday at the Creek Nation Hospital. She was 50.
Mrs. Lombard was born March 22, 1948, in Portland, Ore., to Marion Wamon Dodson and Elva Crain Dodson. She married John Lombard on Aug. 20, 1964.
She was a homemaker and a member of the House of Prayer.
Survivors include her three sons, Stephen Lombard, Tulsa; Greg Lombard, Naples, Fla.; Paul Lombard, Okemah; two daughters, Laura Lombard, Okmulgee; Tammie Crawford, Okemah; two brothers, Junior Dodson and Steve Dodson, both of Okemah; one sister, Clara Allen, Hamilton, Ala.; 12 grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Marion Dodson, on April 1, 1994; and her mother, Elva Dodson, in October of 1991.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the House of Prayer, Okemah, with the Rev. Tim Dodson officiating. Burial will be in the Highland Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah.
Sue B. Pepper
Sue B. Pepper died Wednesday in Tulsa. She was 73.
Mrs. Pepper was born May 5, 1925, in Mill Creek, Okla., to Lizzie and Roger Anderson.
She was a registered nurse and an active member of the Haskell Alumni Association.
Survivors include her son, Mike Pepper, Tulsa; son and daughter-in-law, Clark and Marina Pepper, Stillwater; daughter and son-in-law, Terry and Rick Clinton, Tulsa; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Geneva Bivens, Sulphur; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lizzie and Roger Anderson; sister and brother-in-law, Bernice and Charles Berger; and the father of her children, Alfred Pepper.
Private family services were held under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah.
Memorials may be made to the Haskell Foundation, 155 Indian Avenue, Lawrence, Kan., 66046.
O.Z. Riggs Jr.
Shawnee resident O.Z. "Zeke" Riggs Jr. died Wednesday in Shawnee. He was 43.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Cooper Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Clint Dawkins officiating. Burial will be in Britton Cemetery.
Riggs was born July 8, 1955, in Edmond to O.Z. and Emma (Denwalt) Riggs Sr. He graduated from Tecumseh schools in 1973.
He was a mechanic with Williams Transmission and owned and operated Rick's Alignment and Brake for the past six months.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Emmanda and Scott Potter, Stillwater; and daughters, Miranda Riggs, Tecumseh; Britney Smith, Seminole.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
James H. Slack
Former Shawnee resident James H. Slack died Tuesday in Mesa, Ariz. He was 56.
Slack was born Sept. 7, 1942, in Sand Springs, Okla., the son of John G. and Frances Slack.
On Sept. 14, 1963, he married Sharon Rushing in Shawnee. They later moved to Tulsa in 1965.
While residing in Shawnee, Slack worked for Vari-Color. He later worked as a toolmaker for McDonnell Douglas Boeing Corp., where he had remained employed for the past 30 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Slack was a past president of Tulsa's Green Country Mustang Club and served on the board of directors.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include: his wife, Sharon, Mesa, Ariz.; one son, Charles Martin Slack, Tulsa; two daughters, Linn Slack and Patricia Slack, both of Tulsa; one brother and sister-in-law, John L. and Shirley Slack, Satellite Beach, Fla.; one sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Cecil Johnston, Shawnee; sisters-in-law, Marsha Slack, Littleton, Colo. and Patricia Ford, Shawnee; mother-in-law, Linnie Rushing, Shawnee; four grandsons and one granddaughter, all of Tulsa; and many other relatives.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Moore's Eastlawn in Tulsa. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.
James Charles Carney
James Charles "Jamie" Carney of Stroud died Wednesday in Oklahoma City at the age of 21.
He was born in Stroud on Aug. 9, 1977, the son of Oma (Carney) Schmidt. He resided in Stroud with Charles and Donna Webb most of his life and was affiliated with the Assembly of God Church in Stroud.
He was a volunteer for many businesses, organizations and churches in the Stroud area and spent a lot of his time volunteering at Stroud Hospital and Stroud Health Care Centers. He was a CPR instructor.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents and great-grandparents.
Survivors include his mother, Oma (Carney) Schmidt, Stroud; uncle and aunt, Charles and Donna Webb, Stroud, one brother and many other relatives.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Stroud Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Don Wilburn and the Rev. Harold Gaches officiating. Burial will be at Stroud Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Stroud.
Wendell Paul Myers Jr.
Wendell Paul Myers Jr., a victim of cancer, died Tuesday at his home near Chandler. He was 55.
He was born Feb. 22, 1943, at Fullerton, Neb. He was employed by the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission as a veterans' employment representative and for that work he was awarded the Monte Marsh Memorial Award for humanitarianism.
He was co-author of two books about the bombing of the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, "Dear Oklahoma City, Get Well Soon" and "We Shall Never Forget." He also was a contributing editor for the book "In Their Name" and was past president of Oklahoma Writers' Federation.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Myers, Shawnee; sister, Grace Scrivener, Fredericksburg, Va.; his wife, Anna, of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Ben and Mandy Myers, St. Louis, Mo.; daughters, Ginny Myers, Anna-Marie Myers, both of Clarksville, Ark.; and several nieces and nephews including Becky Kephart, Chandler.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Esther Flora.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Chandler First Baptist Church with the Rev. Rick Blackwell officiating. Burial will be 3 p.m. at Sans Bois Cemetery, Lequire, Okla., under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel, Chandler.
