Mary Jewell Harper
Mary Jewell (Jones) Harper, 93, died Sunday at a local nursing home.
She was born June 3, 1908, in Sasakwa.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Otis L. Harper.
Surviving are her brother, Bob Benefield and wife Joann of Ada; sister-in-law Dorothy (Jones) Rogers, Shawnee; nieces Jackie Clayton, McLoud, Judi Smith, McAlester, Janet Wilson, Wewoka, Linda Major and Carol Sparks, Bakersfield, Calif; nephews Dale Jones of Sasakwa, Alan Jones, Edmond, Larry Jones, Nashville, Tenn., Bryan Benefield, Globe, Ariz., Stephen Benefield, Ada, Steward Benefield, Ada; great-niece Pamela (Clayton) Stites, McLoud, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held in Bakersfield, Calif. Viewing will be today at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home in Oklahoma City.
Bonnie Louise Booker
Bonnie Louise Booker, 52, a Midwest City resident, died Friday at an Oklahoma City hospital.
She was born Feb. 27, 1950, in Shawnee, the daughter of Bert and Maxine (Blain) Bleakley.
She married Johnnie Booker in 1966 and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents; a sister, Shirley Wise; and three brothers-in-law, Billy Ray Wise, Gordon Tibbs and Frankie Booker.
Survivors include her husband, Johnnie Booker of the home; a sister and brother-in-law, Roberta and Jerry Danner; a brother, Walter Allen Holloway; a sister-in-law, Barbara Wood; and several nieces, nephews and special friends.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Clint Dawkins officiating.
Arrangements are being handled by Gaskill-Owens Funeral Home.
Max D. Grayson
Max D. Grayson, 34, of Shawnee died Saturday in Baltimore, Md.
Services are pending with Resthaven Funeral Home in Shawnee.
Pearl S. Hocker
Pearl S. Hocker, 97, of Shawnee died Thursday.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Calmes officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview cemeteryunder the direction of Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel.
Lee Allen Henderson
Lee Allen Henderson, 69, of Sparks died Tuesday.
He was born July 2, 1932, to Robert Lee and Myrtle (Decker) Henderson.
He married Aileen Earp in Chandler on June 12, 1954.
He retired from the Oklahoma Army National Guard with the rank of Colonel. He was the commander of the First Liaison at the Field Artillery Training Center at Fort Sill, Okla., and as the chief of the Reserve Component with the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Ky.
His career as an educator included being a principal and coach for Chandler and Wellston public schools.
He was a founding member of the Oklahoma Girls' Coaches Hall of Fame.
After his retirement, the Hendersons continued to live on their ranch near Chandler.
Survivors include his wife, Aileen Henderson of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Mark and Danica Henderson of Elk City; daughter and son-in-law, Lee Ann and Andy Weingarten of Louisville, Ky.; one sister, Geneva Wallis of Mulvane, Kan.; three grandchildren; and other relatives and many friends.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church of Chandler with the Rev. Janie Kirt Morris officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery of Chandler under the direction of the Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Chandler.
Etha C. Snodgrass
Etha C. "Sue" (McGehee) Snodgrass, 67, of Shawnee died Wednesday at Norman Regional Hospital.
Survivors include one son, Thomas Snodgrass of San Diego, Calif.; one daughter, Hazel Hull of Meeker; three sisters, Beverly Evans of Perkins, Earlene Cole of San Antonio, Texas, and Doralee Hickerson of Stuart, Okla.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Swearingen Funeral Chapel of Seminole with Delton Tollett officiating. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at White Chimney Cemetery of Stuart, Okla.
Helen Elizabeth Nease
Shawnee resident Helen Elizabeth Nease died Tuesday.
She was born Sept. 6, 1923, in Henryetta, the eldest of 11 children born to Wilbur and Jessie Hinman.
Nease graduated in 1942 from Mountain View High School, east of Seminole, where she was valedictorian.
In addition, she attended the University of Tulsa and was employed at Douglas Aircraft during World War II.
She married Eugene R. McCormick on Sept. 11, 1948, and spent her early married years in San Bernardino, Calif.
In 1966, she and her family returned to Shawnee, where she has lived since.
Nease was a homemaker and owned and operated Parkview Florist, Seminole, before retiring in the mid-1980s.
In 1979, she became reacquainted with Karl Nease, whom she had written and became friends with during his service to the U.S. Navy. They married July 3, 1980, at Bridgeview on Lake Texoma.
Nease was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jack Hinman, Ben Hinman, Leon Hinman, Ted Hinman and Marshall Hinman; and sister, Margaret Hinman.
She is survived by her husband of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Beverly and Bryan Coon of Edmond; daughter, Valerie J. McCormick of Juneau, Alaska; son, David O. McCormick of Juneau; and daughter, Jamie L. Nease of St. Petersburg, Fla; grandchildren, Corey McCormick, Wendy McCormick and Randy McCormick, all of Tulsa; Brian Shawn of Shawnee; Brandon and Brittany Coon of Edmond; Jeremy, Emily and Jacob Langkiet of Juneau; Joe and Christine Nease of Albuquerque, N.M., and Cory and Megan Nettles of Yukon; stepchildren and their spouses, K.O. and Toni Nease of Arizona, Joe Nease of Florida; and siblings, Lawrence Hinman of Konawa, Verna Thornbrugh of Madill, Ruth Phenix of Edmond and Lynda Johnston of Houston, Texas; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services will be 10 a.m. today at Crossings Community Church, 14600 N. Portland, Oklahoma City, with the Rev. Steve Seaton officiating. Burial will follow in Little Cemetery, Seminole.
Services are under the direction of Vondel L. Smith and Son Mortuary, Oklahoma City.
Frank Leon Bennett
Frank Leon Bennett, 60, Kendrick, died Monday in Stroud.
Survivors include two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ben and Jackie Bennett, El Reno, and George and Connie Bennett, Bristow; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Mary Sue Grammer, Stroud, Barbara Faye Naugle, Tulsa, Erma Lucille and Larry Lee, Broken Arrow.

are 11 a.m. today at Rock Island Cemetery in Stroud under the direction of Park Brother Funeral Services.
James B. Stephens
James B. Stephens, 58, of Tuttle died Monday in Oklahoma City.
Funeral services
will be 11:30 p.m. today at the Heritage Family Church. Burial follows at 4 p.m. in the Fairview Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
Lillian Groves Archer
Lillian Groves Archer, 83, Ponca City died Monday at a care center.
Survivors include four sons, Fred Archer, Ponca City, Robert Archer, Clermont, Fla., Russell Archer, The Woodlands, Texas; and Oscar Archer, Pt. St. Lucie, Fla.; a sister, Peggy Pickering, Wanette; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Graveside services
are 3 p.m. today at Byrd's Prairie Cemetery south of Tupelo, Okla., with the Rev. Michael Kear officiating. Trout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Parker Allen Koepke
Parker Allen Koepke, 5-month-old son of Dustin and Moriah McFadden Koepke died Sunday.
Services were held 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mustang Assembly of God Church. Arrangements under the direction of McNeil's Mustang Funeral Service of Mustang.
Clorene Faye Coley
Clorene Faye Coley, 73, of Shawnee died Saturday at her home.
She was born June 7, 1929, in Roff, Okla., the daughter of Charles W. and Bessie Mae (Cochran) Odell.
Coley graduated from Tecumseh High School.
She was a vault teller at BancFirst and a longtime employee of the Federal National Bank, having retired in 1998.
She married William Raymond Coley in 1948 in Gainesville, Texas.
Coley was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church and had been a Shawnee resident since the 1950s.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her father; a brother, Charles Frank Odell; a grandson, Darrell Jones; and an infant brother, Larry Walter Odell.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Kathy Coley of Mounds and Kenneth and Jolene Coley of Shawnee; two daughters, Karen Jones and Kathy Humphrey, both of Shawnee; her mother, Bessie Mae Odell; a sister, Clora Mae Walton of Piedmont, Okla.; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A service will be noon Wednesday at St. Benedict Catholic Church with the Rev. Maurus Jaeb, O.S.B., officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
The family has designated the American Cancer Society, 4323 N.W. 63rd St., Suite 110, Oklahoma City, OK 73116-1513 as appropriate for memorials.
