Evelyn Bird
Evelyn Bird, 77, of Shawnee died Thursday in a local hospital.
She was born Oct. 4, 1924, in Shawnee, the daughter of Charley and Carry (Poe) Pitts.
She married Charley Bird on April 5, 1952, and was a homemaker
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on March 21, 1983; two brothers, Samuel and Cecil Pitts; and an infant sister, Rosie Maranda Pitts.
Survivors include a sister, Roberta Gentry of Shawnee and two brothers, Charlie Pitts of Tecumseh and Doyle Pitts of Macomb.
A service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Rosech-Walker Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Sam Hendry officiating. Burial was in the Little Cemetery.
Janet Kay Tope
Janet Kay (Loafman) Tope, 51, of Livingston, Texas, died Friday in Livingston.
She was born Jan. 24, 1951, in Shawnee, the daughter of Thomas Jasper "T.J." and Jackie Jeannette (Grimes) Loafman.
Tope had lived in Livingston for several years. She was a teacher.
She was preceded in death by her father and a sister, Sue Lynn Loafman.
Survivors include her mother, Jackie Loafman of Livingston; a son, Tim Tope of Reno, Nev.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Carl and Chasity Tope of Biloxi, Miss., and Geoff and Misty Tope of Lawton; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Douglas and Cindy Loafman of Livingston and Dr. Thomas and Debbie Loafman of Bartlesville; a sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Bob Spooner of Dahlonega, Ga.; an aunt, Nelda Mays of Prague; three grandchildren, Haistin Tope of Biloxi, Jared Tope of Biloxi and Kyle Tope of Lawton; and 10 nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at 5 p.m. Monday at Parks Brothers Funeral Service, Prague. A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Prague Cemetery with Thomas and Doug Loafman officiating. A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Central Baptist Church in Livingston.
Local services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service, Prague.

G.C. Garland Howell, 93, of Stroud died Saturday in Stroud. Services are pending and will be announced by Parks Brothers Funeral Service, Stroud.
Nora Earls
Nora Earls, 88, of Tecumseh died Saturday in Shawnee. Services are pending and will be announced by Cooper Funeral Home, Tecumseh.
Lottie M. Wesley
Lottie Mae Wesley, 92, of Shawnee died Saturday in a local hospital.
Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Billie Jones of Shawnee; a granddaughter, Connie Bean of Shawnee; and three great-grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be under the direction of Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel.
Ural C. Moore
Ural C. Moore, 79, of Shawnee died Thursday in a local nursing home.
He was born Oct. 30, 1923, in Telephone, Texas, the son of Clyde and Edna (Mize) Moore.
Moore was a retired manager of a Pratt's Supermarket.
He married Thelma Caldwell on June 14, 1941.
Moore served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a tank operator in Germany.
He was a member of Central Church of Christ in Shawnee. He was a longtime resident of Shawnee.
He was preceded in death by his father and an infant son.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma Moore of Shawnee; his mother, Edna Caldwell of Durant; a sister, Letha Compton of Durant; a brother-in-law, I.M. Caldwell of Knightdale, N.C.; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Resthaven Funeral Home chapel with Don Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park.
Faye Coley
Faye Coley, 72, Shawnee, died Saturday at home.
Services are pending with Gaskill-Owens Funeral Home.
Gina DeeAnne Thompson Casey
Shawnee resident Gina DeeAnne Thompson Casey, 39, died Thursday at a local hospital.
She was born May 1, 1963, in Shawnee to Linda (Karnes) Melin.
She attended school at Dale and Shawnee and graduated from Shawnee High School. She received an associate degree from Seminole State College and was attending The University of Oklahoma, where she was a senior.
She married Chuck Casey Aug. 29, 1987, in Shawnee.
She was a longtime employee of FireLake Restaurant and was a member of the Church of Christ in Dale. She was a lifelong Shawnee area resident.
Preceding her in death were a sister, Lisa Renee Thompson, and grandparents, Daniel Karnes and H.O. and Coralee Thompson.
Surviving are her husband, Charles "Chuck" Casey of Shawnee; daughters, Misti and Tymber Casey of Shawnee and Nellie Thompson and Samuel Washburn of Shawnee; granddaughter, Samantha Washburn, Shawnee; grandmother, Ruby Karnes of Shawnee; mother, Linda Melin of Shawnee; sisters, Klesha Noland of Shawnee and Brandi Melin of Shawnee; nieces, Jackie and Stevie Begley of Shawnee; nephews, Eric Begley and Ethan and Will Melin, all of Shawnee; cousins, Janna, Larry and Grace Warren, all of Shawnee, and Jenny and J.W. Karnes of Stratford.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Larry Sparks and the Rev. Lonnie Hurst officiating. Burial will follow in Little Cemetery under the direction of Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel.
Kent B. Green
Funeral services
for Kent B. Green are 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home Chapel in Ardmore. Burial will be 2 p.m. at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery in Shawnee. Green, 81, died Friday at an Ardmore hospital.
Green was born Nov. 27, 1920, in Saint Louis, Okla., to John Little and Grace A. Hilton Green. He married JoAnn Elizabeth Snodgrass on Sept. 10, 1950, in Oklahoma City. He and his wife had lived in Ardmore since 1953. He retired from the Slaughter Company, where he worked as a design engineer.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II with the 101st Single Corp for three years in Europe. He also served during the Korean Conflict as an instructor for the Signal Corp. He was a member of the American Legion, National Rifle Association and AARP.
Survivors include his wife, JoAnn Green of the home; a daughter, Disa Chambers, Moore; a sister, Gloria June Meng, Shawnee; two nieces, Martha Lillard and Cindy McVey, both of Shawnee; two great-nephews, Shane Seyffert and Tripp Lillard, both of Shawnee; and two great-nieces, Belinda Cagle, Crescent, and Andrea Koepke, Shawnee.
Memorials may be made to the local chapter of the United Way.
Services are under the direction of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home.

Shawnee resident Fannie M. Smith, 90, died Thursday at a local hospital. Services are pending with Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.
Cecilia Ann Edgmon
Cecilia Ann (Barnes) Edgmon, 59, of Seminole died Monday in Oklahoma City.
Survivors include two sisters, Linda Hatfield and Pat McManus, both of Seminole; and a grandson.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Swearingen Funeral Chapel in Seminole with the Rev. Harold Turner officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are being handled by Swearingen Funeral Home.
Judy Frances (Sauter) McQuown
Konawa resident Judy Frances (Sauter) McQuown, 50, died Friday at her home.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph McQuown of the home; her mother, Frances Sauter of Casper, Wyo.; two sons, James Marty of the home and Michael McQuown of Ft. Collins, Colo.; a daughter, Jeannie Mahoney of Ft. Collins, Colo.; four brothers, Jerry Denton of Tennessee, Ed Sauter of South Dakota, Jack Sauter of North Dakota and Chris Sauter of Wyoming; two sisters, Susie Reck of Texas and Jewell Foote of Wyoming; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Konawa with the Rev. Charley Henthorn officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Pickard-Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa.
Jessie Mae Drummond
Shawnee resident Jessie Mae Drummond, 81, died Friday in Shawnee.
Survivors include a son, Ronnie Drummond, of the home; two grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
Graveside services
will be 10 a.m. Monday at Tecumseh Cemetery with the Rev. Clint Dawkins officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
George R. Teafatiller
George R. Teafatiller, 51, of Tecumseh died Friday in Oklahoma City.
He was born Dec. 22, 1950, in Kodiak Island, Alaska, to Leo I. Teafatiller and Georgia Teafatiller Parsons.
He had been a resident of Tecumseh since 1951.
He was a member of the Tecumseh Alumni, Class of 1969. He received his associate of science degree from Seminole Junior College and a bachelor of geology and teaching certificate from the University of Oklahoma.
He married Nancy Stockton on June 18, 1974, in Tecumseh.
He was director of gaming for the Firelake Entertainment Center for many years.
He was a member of the Tecumseh High School Alumni Association and the OU Alumni Association.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo Teafatiller and Georgia Teafatiller Parsons; one sister, Toni Eddings; and stepfather, Carroll Parsons.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy, of the home; a son, Leo R. Teafatiller, of the home; two daughters, Amy Teafatiller of Tulsa and Amber Teafatiller of the home; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Pat and Mel Cockrell of Richardson, Texas, and Brenda Drake of Tecumseh; two brothers-in-law, Roger Eddings and Nicky Stockton, both of Shawnee; a sister-in-law, Debbie Haley of Tecumseh; three nephews, Greg Cockrell, Josh Eddings and Caleb Eddings; four nieces, Sheila Cockrell, Christi Brock, Jodi Brock and Kindra Butts; a great-nephew, Drake Plunkett; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Cooper Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Robert Rider and the Rev. Chad Brodrick officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.

The Rev. Jackson H. Shoemaker, 81, of Norman died Tuesday.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Cooper Funeral Chapel with Dr. Don Burk and Arthur Carpitcher officiating. Burial will be at Brown Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
