Wanda Jean Murdock
Wanda Jean Murdock, 68, Shawnee, died Friday in a local hospital.
She was born June 6, 1932, in Shawnee, the daughter of James and Ella Murdock.
She worked in assembly at TDK until retirement.
Preceding her in death were her sons, Mitchell Murdock and Don Murdock; brother, Charles Murdock, and her sisters, Jo Ann Stevens and Betty Tiger.
Survivors include her children, Norine Rodriquez of Brunswick, Maine; Pat Soliz of McLoud; Glenda Murdock, Myra Wilson and Rachel Murdock, all of Shawnee; and Dennis Murdock of Delia, Kan.; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, Edward Murdock of Seminole; Jim Murdock of Shawnee and Freddie Murdock of Saint Louis; and her sisters, Carolyn Murdock of McLoud; Katherine Murdock and Sue Murdock, both of Shawnee.
Services were Saturday evening in McLoud. Burial will be today at the Murdock Family Cemetery. The arrangements are under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.
Leta Croskell
Shawnee resident Leta Croskell, 68, died Saturday in an Oklahoma City hospital.

Billie Jean Dunn
Billie Jean "Willie" Dunn, 70, Shawnee, died Thursday at her home.
She was born May 25, 1930, in Flat Creek, Ala., to Henry Grady and Clora Ethel (Smith) White. She attended school in Alabama.
Mrs. Dunn, co-owner of Dunn Wrecker Service, lived in the Dale area most of her life. She was a member of Hazel Dell Baptist Church.
She was married Feb. 14, 1969, in Las Vegas, Nev., to Jesse R. "Jake" Dunn, who preceded her in death July 29, 1996.
Mrs. Dunn also was preceded in death by her daughter, Jackie Sue Cox, and an infant daughter, Tommy Lou Haynes.
Survivors include one son, Steven Michael Haynes of Shawnee; four daughters, Jo Crocheran, Bailey, Colo.; Toni Elaine Blesseck, Coos Bay, Ore.; Terri Lee Wells and Cindy Lou Brown, both of Shawnee; 10 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, four sisters, June Johnson, Kentucky; Glen Calvert, Good Hope, Ala.; Mary Hathcock, Tilus, Fla.; Jimmie Sue Mills, Tennessee; one brother, Bernard White, Alabama; seven stepchildren including Lisa Dunn, McLoud; Guy Allen, Columbia, Md.; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Fred and Louise Kupke, Torrance, Calif.
Services were Saturday at Hazel Dell Baptist Church with the Rev. Ellis Risenhoover officiating. Burial was at Dale Cemetery. Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
Cora Lee Keith
Noble resident Cora Lee Keith died Friday in Shawnee. She was 87.
She was born to Charles Fredrick and Jenny (Case) Bebee on Aug. 3, 1913, in Waco, Texas. She grew up in Waco and had lived in the Noble and Norman area for the past 25 years.
On April 16, 1930, she married Edgel R. "E.R." Keith in Seminole.
Mrs. Keith was a nurses' aide for many years in Norman, Tecumseh and Shawnee.
Preceding her in death were her parents; daughter, MaryLee Ingram, and son, Paul Richard Keith.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothy Keith Ingram of Shawnee; Vicky and Donnie "Homer" Miller of Noble; Marlene and Bill Bird of Edmond; Phyllis Ross of Shawnee and Andrea Keith of Norman; sons and daughter-in-law, Edgel R. Jr. and Betty Keith of Meeker; Tom Keith of Shawnee and Ray Keith of Norman, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Services are set for 1 p.m. Monday at the Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Loyd Wilhite officiating. Burial will follow at Rossville Cemetery.
Viewing will be 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday.
Elizabeth A. Rogers
Elizabeth A. Rogers died Saturday at a McLoud nursing center. The McLoud resident was 98.

Pink Richard Huffman
Pink Richard Huffman of Tecumseh died Thursday. He was 88.
Huffman was born June 2, 1912, in Searcy County, Ark., to Adelane and William Henry Huffman. He married Myrtle Graham Nov. 1, 1933, in Sasakwa.
He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church and a retiree of Seminole County. He lived in Konawa until moving to Tecumseh 25 years ago.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Huffman, in March of 1991, one infant son and a daughter, Wanda Nadine McGinnis.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Alan and Linda Campbell, Bethel Acres; four grandchildren and their spouses, Jerry and Tina McGinnis, Shawnee; Gayla and Chris Amenhauser, Georgia; Mike and Theresa Campbell, Perry; Lisa and Nathan White, Norman; three great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at Pickard Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery.
Dolores Abercrombie
Dolores "Queenie" Abercrombie, 87, Mannford, died Wednesday in Mannford.
She was born Nov. 6, 1913, in Stroud to Robert and Ellen Holmes.
Mrs. Abercrombie, a businesswoman, lived most of her life in Stroud, moving to Mannford in 1997. She was a member of the First Christian Church and caregiver in Stroud.
She married Herman Abercrombie in Chandler on March 25, 1935. He preceded her in death on March 24, 1997.
She also was preceded in death by her parents and 12 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Ronald and Doris Abercrombie of Matagorda, Texas; Donald and Sandy Abercrombie of Sand Springs; Jimmie Abercrombie of Wharton, Texas; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at First Christian Church in Stroud with the Rev. Sandy Chase officiating. Burial will be in the Stroud Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Services in Stroud.
Charles Franklin Barr
Charles Franklin "Frank" Barr of Seminole died Wednesday at a Norman hospital. He was 70.
He was born March 27, 1930, in Aimwell, La. He was the son of Marion Franklin Barr and Bertha Leona (Crain) Barr and grew up in Overton, Texas.
He moved to Seminole from Cushing in 1970.
He married Mary Jo Charles March 24, 1955, in Tyler, Texas.
Barr worked as an oil well supply manager for Continental Emsco for 31 years, retiring in 1995.
He was staff sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, serving from Jan. 6, 1951, to Nov. 22, 1964, during the Korean conflict.
Barr was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Lindsay, former member of the Elks Lodge and a charter member of the Seminole Bass Club.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Jo Barr of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Kaye Lynn Barr of Houston, Texas; two grandchildren, Robert Franklin Barr and Courtney Leigh Foerster and her husband, Rick Foerster, Houston; one great-grandson, Tyler Layne Foerster of Houston.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Swearingen Funeral Chapel with Dr. Kelvin Moseley officiating. Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole.
Boyd M. Blount
Former Shawnee resident Boyd M. Blount, 80, died Thursday in Conroe, Texas.
Services are pending with Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.
Ruben Drake
Ruben "R.J." Drake of Tecumseh died Thursday in Oklahoma City. He was 78.
He was born April 5, 1922, in Batesville, Ark., the son of William A. and Rose Amy (Fullbright) Drake.
On May 16, 1942, he was married in Okemah to Bonnie Ruth Scott, who preceded him in death March 12, 1994.
He had lived in Oklahoma since 1923 and in Tecumseh since 1976. Drake was retired from Tinker Air Force Base.
During World War II, he served with the U.S. Army in Europe with an evacuation hospital. He attended the Pentecostal Church of God in Tecumseh, Masonic Lodge No. 107 of Shawnee and was a 32nd-degree Mason with the McAlester Consistory.
He also was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Lorene Kyler.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Bobbie and Linda Drake of Yukon, and grandson, Daniel Drake of Yukon.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Pentecostal Church of God with the Rev. Fred Owens officiating. Burial will be at Welty Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
Ila Dixson
Former Harjo postmistress Ila Dixson, Shawnee, died Thursday in Shawnee. She was 97.
She was born in Francis, Okla., Dec. 14, 1903, the daughter of Irwin Willis Jones and Mattie Clementine (Cunningham) Jones. On April 20, 1919, she was married in Maud to Leonard F. Dixson, who preceded her in death Dec. 19, 1967.
Mrs. Dixson worked on the family farm and for Up-to-Date Laundry. During the 1930s, she reported the Tecumseh news to the Shawnee News-Star.
Mrs. Dixson, a member of the First Church of God in Tecumseh, lived in Pottawatomie County most of her life.
Also preceding her in death were her parents; sons, Willis Dixson and Elbert Dixson, and sisters, Ruby, Opal and Oletha.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Thelma and Henry Hudlow of Oklahoma City; son, Marshall Dixson of Maud; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren and many other relatives.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at First Church of God in Tecumseh. Robert Westfall and Ervin Anderson will officiate. Burial will be at Tecumseh Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
