Loyce Cooper of Oklahoma City died Friday in Oklahoma City. Cooper was 93.
Graveside services
will be noon Monday at Wanette Cemetery with Rev. William H. Bentley, Broadway United Methodist Church, Tecumseh, officiating. Other information is pending with Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
Virginia (Wilson) Otto
Virginia (Wilson) Otto of Wewoka died Tuesday at a Wewoka nursing home. She was 87.
She was born March 9, 1913, in Gideon. She was the daughter of Samuel Wilson and Artemis (Graves) Wilson.
She lived in the Seminole County area since 1986. She married Robert Andrew Otto April 30, 1956, in Yuma, Ariz.
He preceded her in death on April 20, 1990. She was a homemaker and foster mother to hundreds of children.
Survivors include one son, Paul R. Otto of Raleigh, N.C.; foster child, Jamison Clinger of Seminole; two sisters, Nola Garotte of Watsonville, Calif.; Gladys Strong of Casa Grande, Ariz.; sister-in-law, Iretta Bell of Seminole.
Graveside services
will be noon Tuesday at Blue Springs Cemetery, Gideon, with the Rev. Clayton Sellers officiating. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole.
Lester Boone Kieffer
Lester Boone "Leck" Kieffer of Tecumseh died Friday in Tecumseh. He was 94.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Church of God, Tecumseh, with Rev. Tidd Tiffin, assisted by the Rev. Herman Coffman and the Rev. Sid Tiffin officiating. Visitation will be begin 1 p.m. Sunday.
Information is pending with Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
Loyce Cooper
Loyce Cooper, Oklahoma City, died Friday in Oklahoma City. She was 93.
She was born on Feb. 4, 1907, in Pope County, Ark., to William Franklin and Lucy Elizabeth (Bowen) Marshall.
She lived in Oklahoma most of her life, residing in Shawnee, Oklahoma City and Tulsa. She also lived in Tucson for 14 years before returning to Oklahoma City in 1981.
On July 11, 1926, she married Frank Leland Cooper in Wewoka.
Mrs. Cooper worked as a secretary in various hospitals in Oklahoma City and Tulsa, retiring in 1969. She was a member of the Piedmont United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son, Frank Cooper.
Survivors include two granddaughters and their spouses, Tonja "Toni" and Tim Outhier of Piedmont and Trina and Joe Rose of Austin, Texas, one sister, Iva Jane LaFevers of Rancho Cordova, Calif., and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services

Lester Boone "Leck" Keiffer
Lifelong Tecumseh area resident Lester Boone "Leck" Keiffer died Friday in Tecumseh. He was 94.
He was born on July 9, 1906, near Tecumseh to Frank X. and Grace (London) Keiffer. He attended North View and Forrest View schools.
He married Ruth E. James on June 3, 1933, in Tecumseh. They recently celebrated their 67th anniversary.
Keiffer worked in the oil field, farmed the Skagg City area and worked at Shawnee Milling Co. for approximately 23 years before retiring in 1973. He was an active member of the First Church of God in Tecumseh for more than 50 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Clarence Kieffer and Louie "Sug" Kieffer; son, James Lester Kieffer; and sons-in-law William Latham and Floyd Forrester.
Survivors include his wife, of the home, four daughters and three sons-in-law: Irene Latham of Fort Lupton, Colo., Colleen and Kieth Stover of Tecumseh, Patsy and Otho Montgomery of Tecumseh and Charolette and John Harrison of Tecumseh, two sons and daughters-in-law, Floyd and Anona Kieffer of Shawnee and Gary and Beverly Kieffer of Tulsa. He is also survived by three sisters, Lena Tomlinson of Overgard, Ariz., Mildred Hays of Tecumseh and Flora Lee Faulkner of Ada; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack and Edna Kieffer of Tecumseh and Franz "Junior" and Lee Kieffer of Yukon; 20 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First Church of God in Tecumseh. The Rev. Todd Tiffin, assisted by the Rev. Herman Coffman and the Rev. Sid Tiffin, will officiate under the direction of Cooper Funeral Chapel of Tecumseh. Burial will be in the Tecumseh Cemetery.

Curtis Youl Fairres
Curtis Youl Fairres, who had lived in Seminole for the past 14 years, died Saturday in Tulsa. He was 53.
He was born on June 30, 1947, at Wewoka to Thomas Youl Fairres and Margie Marie Smith Fairres. He attended junior high school at Okemah and graduated from a Deming, N.M., high school. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea during the Vietnam War. He was also a Golden Gloves boxing champion during his involvement with the Army.
In Deming, N.M., he was a member of the American Legion, past president of the Lions Club and a member of the Elks Lodge. He was a volunteer for the developmentally disabled.
On March 28, 1987, he married Jo Lynn Woburn Fairres. He was a machinist.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his mother, of Okemah; his wife, of Holdenville; four sons, Anthony Fairres of Albuquerque, N.M., Kurt Fairres of Roswell, N.M., Larry Fairres of Roswell, N.M., and Vince Tillery of Sasakwa; one daughter, Shannon Tillery of Sasakwa; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard Lee and Pam Fairres of Weleetka and Thomas Dale and Cheryl Fairres of Castle, Okla.; one sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Mike Wells of Sapulpa; and three grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at Skyview Baptist Church at Okemah. The Rev. Jack Vance will officiate under the direction of Parks Brother Funeral Home of Okemah.
Memorials may be made to the Sasakwa High School to be used for a memorial scholarship.
Scott Fuller
Scott Fuller of Shawnee died Saturday in Tishomingo. He was 31.
Fuller was born March 26, 1969, in Shawnee, the son of David and Jacquetta (Crabtree) Fuller.
He was a 1987 graduate of Shawnee High School.
Fuller married Rona Walton on Dec. 26, 1994, in Shawnee at the First Church of the Nazarene, where he attended worship services.
Fuller was self-employed. He performed contract plumbing, heat and air conditioning services.
Survivors include wife, Rona Fuller of the home; three children, Tracy, Scotty and Scottlyn, all of the home; parents, David and Jacquetta Fuller, Shawnee; sister, Tara Greer, Shawnee; grandmothers, Lena Crabtree, Shawnee, and Evelyn Fuller, Shawnee; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Betty and Richard Walton, Tecumseh; three aunts, Gwen Woods, Shawnee, Karen Fuller, Shawnee, and Beverly Davis, Shawnee; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Richard Dickinson and the Rev. Harold Blankenship officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.
Shane Dean Hendryx
Shane Dean Hendryx, Seminole, died Saturday in Seminole. He was 5.
Shane was born Nov. 14, 1994, in Seminole, the son of Ronnie Dean and Lois Marie (Fowler) Hendryx.
He was a kindergarten student at Varnum Elementary School.
Shane was a member of Free Will Baptist Church in Seminole.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Clyde E. Hendryx; and his maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Dixie Fowler.
Survivors include his parents; two brothers, Jason and Tony Hendryx, both of the home; two sisters, Hollie and Carrie Hendryx of the home; grandmother, Imogene "Mema" Hendryx, Seminole; special cousins, Josh, Andrea and Ashleigh; and many other cousins.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Seminole with the Rev. David McDougal and the Rev. Allen Wood officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Maxine Everley
Maxine Everley of Shawnee died Sunday in an Oklahoma City hospital. She was 56.
Mrs. Everley was born Oct. 8, 1943, in Wayne, Mich., the daughter of Max and Marion Youngs.
She attended school in Garden City, Mich.
Mrs. Everley was a homemaker and taught home economics at Maranatha Baptist Church.
She married Glen Everley on Jan. 13, 1968, in Wayne, Mich.
She was a member of Pioneer Baptist Church.
Mrs. Everley moved to Oklahoma 22 years ago. She had lived in Shawnee for the past five years.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Michelle Eveans.
Survivors include husband, Glen Everley of the home; one son, Larry Everley, Oklahoma City; one brother, Michael Youngs, Howell, Mich.; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pioneer Baptist Church with Rev. Chuck Bascue officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.
