Calvin Lee Robinson
Calvin Lee Robinson of Konawa died Thursday at Ada. He was 80.
He was born Oct. 10, 1919, in Caney to Sophia (Moore) and Loring Robinson. He was married to Lorene Harjo at Konawa on Feb. 20, 1950.
He was a retired Civil Service worker who moved to Konawa in 1949. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God and was a veteran of the Army and Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, one son, two sisters and one brother.
Survivors include one son, Bobby Robinson, Konawa; one daughter, Katie Yellowfish, Konawa; nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one niece.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Pentecostal Church of God, officiated by the Rev. Sandy Harjo and assisted by the Rev. Arthur Carpitcher. Burial will follow at Ishlum Harjo Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Pickard Funeral Home of Konawa.
Betty Cecil
Betty "Grandma Betty" Cecil of Shawnee died Thursday at an Oklahoma City hospital. She was 76.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Gay officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, under the direction of Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel.
Emma JoAn (Cook) Morgan
Emma JoAn (Cook) "The Bear" Morgan died Thursday at a local hospital. She was 64.
She was born Aug. 15, 1935, in Shawnee to Wiley and Esta "Johnny" (Gill) Cook. She attended and graduated from Seminole High School in 1953.
She married Jack Morgan on Nov. 21, 1952. They made their home in Seminole.
She worked at the Varnum School cafeteria for eight years. She later worked at Morgan's Repair Shop with her husband and son.
She attended the El Shaddai Temple and the Church of the Nazarene. For a little over a year she had made her home in the Seminole Estates Nursing Home because of illness.
Survivors include her husband, Jack Morgan of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Jana Morgan of Seminole; two grandchildren, Alisha and John Morgan both of Seminole; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Nolan Rammage of Seminole; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Kathlene Cook of Choctaw and George and Betty Cook of Choctaw; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Twin Lakes Church of Nazarene in McLoud (one-fourth mile south of McLoud Exit off of I-40) with the Rev. Johnny Stephens officiating.
Gladys Motley Mikish
Gladys Motley Mikish, 87, Shawnee, died Thursday in Shawnee.
Services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday at Cooper Funeral Chapel with Robert Westfall, assisted by Ervin Anderson, officiating. Burial will be at Tecumseh Cemetery.

Frederick Joseph Haffey
Frederick Joseph Haffey, 85, Norman, died Friday in Norman.
Graveside services
will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Resthaven Memorial Park Trinity Chapel with the Rev. Joe Grizzel officiating, under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
Dorothy Jean (Sweaney) Passenau
Dorothy Jean (Sweaney) Passenau of Oklahoma City died Wednesday in Oklahoma City. She was 65.
She was born July 16, 1935, in Seminole County. She was the daughter of Louis and Pauline (Stevens) Sweaney.
She attended school at Pink. She was a business owner.
She married Charles Passenau on Dec. 8 1989, in Oklahoma County. She lived in Nevada and California most of her life.
She was preceded in death by her father, Louis Sweaney; mother, Pauline Smith; and brother, Vernon Joe Sweaney.
Survivors include husband, Charles Passenau, Oklahoma City; son, Tony Alcorta, Clovis, Calif.; daughters, Felicia Alcorta, Oklahoma City; Anita Dooley, Sacramento, Calif.; Pilar Castillo, Fresno, Calif.; two sisters, JoAnn Kubiack, Oklahoma City; Shirley Jackson, Moore; stepfather, Leonard Smith, Shawnee; 10 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Mike Craig officiating. Burial will be at Brown Cemetery.
Frederick Joseph Haffey
Frederick Joseph Haffey of Norman died Friday in Norman. He was 85.
He was born May 27, 1915, in Pottsville, Pa., the son of Francis Morton Haffey and Clara Louise (Doer) Haffey.
He attended public school in Pottsville, Pa., and was a civil service employee at Tinker Air Force Base for several years.
He married Mary H. Ketrick in Combola, Pa., on July 3, 1946. He served in the U.S. Army, where he served as a cook from 1940 to 1944.
He was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church of Norman. He also was a member of the American Legion of Tecumseh.
He was a resident of the Norman Veterans Center for 32 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Haffey, Shawnee; three sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Francis and Larita Haffey, Shawnee, Fred and Debra Haffey, Tecumseh, and John and Carolyn Haffey, Shawnee; six daughters and sons-in-law, Mary L. and Ronald Minion of Tecumseh, Harriet McCorkle of Shawnee, Clara and Walter Freeza of Jacksonville, Fla., Debbie and Larry Chesher of Norman, Michele and Jimmy Hodges of Norman and Irene and Ron Myers of Ponca City; one sister, 23 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services
will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Resthaven Memorial Park Trinity Chapel with the Rev. Joe Grizzel officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
The family has designated the Norman Veteran's Center as appropriate for memorial contributions.
Betty Cecil
Betty "Grandma Betty" Cecil of Shawnee died Thursday at an Oklahoma City hospital. She was 76.
She was born Aug. 27, 1923, in Sallisaw the daughter of John and Rachel (Hawkins) Bowling.
She worked at Cooks Department Store and Wal-Mart. She retired from Wal-Mart in 1988.
Mrs. Cecil also was a foster grandparent volunteer.
She married Lester Cecil on July 24, 1940, in Chandler.
She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church for 40 years and was the teacher of the Mary-Lydia class. She grew up in Konawa and graduated from Konawa High School in 1940.
She moved to Shawnee in 1960. She was a past PTA president at the Lee Elementary School, where she also was a Boy Scout den mother for many years.
She was a volunteer grandparent for a special group of children at Sequoyah and Horace Mann schools for seven years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Lester Cecil; two brothers, J.V. Bowling and Stanley Bowling; and one sister, Laoma Jeanece Bowling.
Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-law, Steve and Hiawannah Cecil, Claremore, and Scott Cecil, Matamoros, Mexico; two daughters and son-in-law, LaQuita Cowan, Oklahoma City, and Judy and Bill Garner, Putnam; one sister, Johnnie Sigler, Yakatat, Alaska; grandchildren, Amy and Steve Gay, Deanna Cowan, Kari and Kelly Sullivan, Kina Cecil, Margaret Cecil, Bryan and Melissa Miller and Sheri and Ron Hill; five great-grandchildren, Brittany Gay, Lane Gay, Jacob Wyatt Sullivan, Morgan Hill and Chase Miller; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Gay officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel.
Sid Trice
Sid Trice of Tecumseh died Saturday in Tecumseh. He was 75.
He was born Nov. 17, 1924, in Earlsboro the son of Sidney Earl and Esta Pearl (Hooley) Trice.
He attended school at Liberty Hill and was a 1943 graduate of Tecumseh High School. He was a lifelong resident of Tecumseh.
On Oct. 14, 1949, he married Leota Rose in Shawnee. He worked in civil service as a supervisor for 29 years, retiring in 1980.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Hill-Huett Post 260, Order of the Eastern Star No. 30, Tecumseh Masonic Lodge No. 69, A.F. and A.M., National Rifle Association, Oklahoma Trappers Association and was a 50-year pin recipient of the Tecumseh High School Alumni Association.
He attended the Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Leota Trice of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Gayle and Ken Brewer of Ada and Phyllis and Andy Sharp of Stroud; six grandchildren, Toby Brewer, Matt Soderstrom, Joy Sharp, Baylea Soderstrom, Shane Sharp and Colton Sharp; two great-grandchildren, Tyler Brewer and Brittany Sharp; brother and sister-in-law, Roauel and Margie Trice of Tecumseh; sister-in-law, Betty Trice of Yukon; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Graveside services
will be 2 p.m. Monday at Tecumseh Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Roberts officiating. Services are under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
