William Thomas Kiser
Lifetime Wanette resident William "Billy" Thomas Kiser died Friday at his home. He was 71.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Wanette Cemetery with the Rev. Cliff Bettes and the Rev. Kenneth Thompson officiating, under the direction of Cooper Funeral Chapel in Tecumseh.
Kiser was born Nov. 11, 1926, in Wanette, to Sanford Thomas and Laura Beatrice (Compton) Kiser. He attended school at Wanette and married Wanda Sturgill on Jan. 24, 1952, in Wanette.
He worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for 19 1/2 years before retiring in 1969. He also worked as a plumber's assistant. Kiser was a member of the Wanette First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Kiser of the home; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jerry Ray Kiser of Albuquerque, N.M., Keith and Pam Kiser of Wanette; two daughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis and Raymond McBroom, Priscilla and Glenn Jones, all of Wanette; 12 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Oneida Cornelison and Mamie Lawson; five brothers, Ernest and Ed Ollison, Bradley, Lesley and Hoyt Kiser.
Kathy Ranee (Phillips) Ryan
Lifelong Seminole resident Kathy Ranee (Phillips) Ryan died Saturday in Seminole. She was 36.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at the First Assembly of God Church, Seminole, with the Rev. Doyle Long and Dr. Jack Medlock officiating. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.
Memorials may be made to breast cancer research.
Mrs. Ryan was born Jan. 24, 1962, in Seminole to Marshall and Norma (Melton) Phillips. She married Steven Dale Ryan in September of 1987.
She operated Kathy's Kids Day Care Center in Seminole and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include her parents Marshall and Norma Jean Phillips, Seminole; her husband, Steven Dale Ryan of Cromwell; two daughters, Ashlee Marchell Ryan and Hollee Ranee Ryan, both of Seminole; a brother and sister-in-law Ron and Cindy Phillips of Seminole; a sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Roy Scott of Brookings, S.D; several nieces and nephews.
Margie Marie Morgan
Norman resident Margie Marie Morgan died Saturday in Norman. She was 73.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Michael's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Richard Burris officiating. Burial will follow at the Norman I.O.O.F. Cemetery under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home, Norman.
Sinia California Jones
Chandler resident Sinia California Jones died Saturday in Shawnee. She was 97.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Oak Park Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Chandler, with the Rev. Doyle Seeley officiating.
Mrs. Jones was born on Aug. 4, 1900, in Arkansas to Samuel Peter and Sara Hurn.
She lived most of life in Chandler, where she was a housewife. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Chandler.
Survivors include two daughters, Christina Johnson, Chandler, Loretta Bridge, Wellston; 13 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harvey Jefferson Jones on Jan. 16, 1956, a daughter Thelma Ragsdale Cogdill, and numerous brothers and sisters.
Loren Lee White
Shawnee resident Loren Lee White died Thursday in Oklahoma City at the age of 73.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mission Hill Cemetery under the direction of Demuth Funeral Home, Oklahoma City.
Loren L. White was born Oct. 5, 1924, in Hamilton, Kan., to John Edward and Georgia (Bentley) White.
He is survived by his wife, Betty, of the home; two sisters, Clara Lansford, Beeville, Texas; Ertis Murphy, Kilgore, Texas; brother, Robert White, Grand Prairie, Texas; grandson, Mark White, Oklahoma City; granddaughter, Tess White, Oklahoma City, and one great-granddaughter.
Eugene Zamjahn
Former Shawnee resident Eugene "Sonny" Zamjahn died May 19 in Appleton, Wis., at the age of 77.
He had served in the U.S. Coast Guard and was a veteran of the D-Day Invasion of Europe during World War II. Zamjahn had retired from Allis-Chalmers and Allen-Bradley.
He is survived by his wife, Jennie (Kuklinski) Zamjahn; children, David and Vicki Zamjahn; sister, Bernice Wantz; brother and sister-in-law, Walter Jr. "Jay" and Lois Zamjahn; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Edward and Ruth Kuklinski, Stefan and Irene Kuklinski; friend, Julie Boots, and many other relatives.
Services were held in Milwaukee, Wisc., and burial was a Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove.
Harold Stryker
Harold "Ray" Stryker of Shawnee died Thursday in a Tulsa hospital at the age of 62.
He was born to Harold Dean Stryker and Modene (Green) Stryker in Pawhuska on Sept. 16, 1935. He attended Osage High School before entering the U.S. Army in 1954.
His parents preceded him in death.
Surviving are his daughters and sons-in-law, Vikki and Augistine Salazar, Oklahoma City; Tammy Eppihimer and Dominick Liles, Shawnee; Kristy Alexander, Osage; sons, Mark Anthony, Granite; Terry Stryker, Holdenville; sister, Mavis, California; stepbrother and sister-in-law, Bob and Annie Wheeler, Osage, and nine grandchildren.
Memorial service for family and friends will be 10 a.m. Saturday at 419 S. Park at the home of his daughter.
Hazel Marie Flatt Huffman
Hazel Marie Flatt Huffman died Monday at her Stroud home at the age of 63.
She was born in Shamrock, Okla., on Sept. 16, 1934, the daughter of Roy and Nancy Maria (Bibbie) Flatt. She had moved a year and a half ago from Cushing to Stroud. She married Dale Elmer Huffman in Guthrie on June 1, 1953, and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Church of the First Born in Parkland.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1992, one son, Orran Huffman, and two brothers.
Survivors include her daughter, Pamela White, Oklahoma City; three brothers, Wesley, Roy E., and Harry Flatt of Stroud; three sisters, Louise William, Tulsa; Alvie Gaut, Morton, Wash.; Letta Hesser, Stroud, and other relatives.
Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Parkland Cemetery with Louis Wright and Wayne Tibeet officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home of Stroud.
Orville James Walker
Lifelong Chandler area resident Orville James Walker died Monday in Stroud. He was 88.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel, Chandler, with the Rev. Thom Chappelle officiating. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery.
Orville James Walker was born in Chandler on March 27, 1910, the son of John T. and Martha (Reddell) Walker. He had lived in the Chandler area all his life and had worked in the Oklahoma oil fields as a driller. He was a member of Midlothian Baptist Church.
He married Elizabeth Robbins on Feb. 26, 1936, and they had two daughters.
Preceding him in death were his parents, a grandson, two brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth, of the home; daughters, Patricia Ann Bell, Gage; Pat Soderstrom, Chandler; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Morgan Walker, Russ, Texas; John Walker, Oklahoma City; sister, Geneva Melson, Chandler, and many other relatives.
Elma Wycoff Farmer
Elma Wycoff Farmer died Tuesday in a Chandler nursing center at the age of 95.
She was born Dec. 1, 1902, in Lebanon, Ind., to Elbert N. and Emma (Nealis) Wycoff. She had been a receptionist for the Tulsa World and had moved from Tulsa to Chandler in 1986.
Preceding her in death were her parents, three brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Virginia and Bob Powell, Chandler; Johnnie and Bill Geisz, St. Louis, Mo.; brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Melda Wycoff, Tulsa, and grandchildren, Nancy and Richard Kellhan, Jasper, Ala.; Jim and Laurie Geisz, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Dan and Denice Hopper, Broken Arrow; Rebecca Hopper, Oklahoma City; Julie and Frank Theus, Chicago, Ill.; Janet and Mark Rowden, Stockbridge, Ga.; John and Star Geisz, Ellisville, Mo.; and Pete and Julie Geisz, St. Louis, Mo.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Rose Hill Memorial Park, Tulsa, with the Rev. Thom Chappelle officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home of Chandler.
