Father Neal Edward Brogan, 67, of Henryetta died June 5, 2001 at Henryetta. He was born Feb. 1, 1934.

GEORGIA M. SPURGEON
Georgia Marie Spurgeon, 92, longtime resident of Okmulgee County, died June 4, 2001in Okmulgee. She was born in Bebee, Ark., on Aug.19, 1908 to Joseph B. and Effie Ola (Harrison) Cullins.
She was a member of the Liberty Morris Baptist Church. Her parents, her husband Jess Henry Spurgeon and a daughter, Georgia Mae McCorkle preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, LaVada and Sam Bennett of Liberty Morris; a son and daughter-in-law, Donald J. and Judy Spurgeon of Liberty Morris; son-in-law, Al McCorkle of Augusta, Ga., eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services
will be Thursday, June 7 at 10 a.m., at the Liberty Morris Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Ward and Rev. Vic Letbetter officiating. Burial will be in the Morris Cemetery under direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Chat Grimmett, Jamie Dixon, Allen Walters, Roy King, Carl King, Jack Whomble, Brian Leist, Pete Turney, Dewey Turney and Darrell Tanner.
Visitation will be at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Morris from 10:00 a.m., until 8 p.m., on Wednesday, June 6.
MARY MCGILL
Mary McGill, 91, of Henryetta died June 10 at Henryetta. She was born March 28, 1910 in Hot Springs, Ark., to Dave Lindsey Kelley and Carrie Riley Kelley.
She was married to Argust D. McGill in Hot Springs in 1927. She had lived in Henryetta since 1927 and was a member of the Gold Star Mothers with the VFW and was a part of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 539. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a son, Ronald McGill, step-son Eddie McGill, step-daughter, Ruby Kelley, four brothers, Clifford, Robert, Andrew and Clarence Kelley and three sisters, Stella Moore, Marie Middleton and Leona Steeves.
Survivors include a son, Darrell McGill of Henryetta; two grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; a step-daughter, Elsie Inman of Henryetta and a step-son, George McGill of San Doren County, Calif.
Services will be Thursday, June 14 at 2 p.m., at the Shurden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Edgar Tomlinson officiating. Burial will be in Salt Creek Cemetery under direction of Shurden Funeral Home.
SHERMAN DICKEY
Sherman Dickey,76, former resident of Henryetta died June 11, 2001 at White City, Oregon. He was born Dec. 31, 1924 to Mary Alice and Alec Dickey.
He retired from Pittsburgh Plate Glass after 22 years of employment and then worked as a security guard at the Utica National Bank in Tulsa. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion having served in Korea. He was reared in the Pentecostal Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Effie Rutherford, Ester Holt and Jettie Youngblood, a brother, Elmer Dickey and a great-grandchild Gabrille Wheeler.
Survivors include two daughters, Pamela Stout and husband Danny of Owasso and Debbie Barrett and husband Everett of Henryetta; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a brother, Jeff Dickey of Chectah.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Rogers Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, June 15 at 10:30 a.m., with Rev. Jim Paslay officiating.
HAROLD ALBERT
Harold Albert, 57, of Okmulgee died June 12, 2001 in Okmulgee.

A funeral service was held in Fort Smith, Ark., on Monday, June 11 at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral.
RUSSELL E GUNTER
Russell Earl Gunter, 85, of Henryetta died June 9, 2001 at Henryetta. He was born Jan. 20, 1916 at Henryetta to Edmond Hunter and Bessie Lee (Baker) Gunter.
He was married to Margaret Davis on Nov. 25, 1950 in Fort Smith, Ark. He was a foreman with PPG Industries for 40 years and was a Den Daddy at OSU-Okmulgee for10 years. He was a member of the Henryetta VFW Post 539 and Okmulgee VFW Post 1189. He was preceded in death by his parents, three grandchildren and his brothers and sisters. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and will be honored at the graveside by the Henryetta VFW Post 539 and Okmulgee VFW Post 1189.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Gunter of the home; three daughters, Sherry Collins of Broken Arrow, Deanne and husband Danny Keele of Boynton and Teresa and husband Lewis Ray of Tulsa; two step-daughters, Marilyn and husband Mike Matthews of Mohave Desert, Ariz., and Saundra and husband Johnny Klimek of Wichita Falls,Texas and nine grandchildren.
Services were held Monday, June 11 at 10 a.m., at the Shurden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Pasley officiating. Burial was in the Westlawn Cemetery under direction of the Shurden Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Johnny Klimek, Garland Bennet, Lewis Ray, Reed Fleming and Kyle Green.
DORETHA IRVIN
Doretha Irvin, 70, of Beggs died Sunday, June 10 in Jenks after a lengthy illness. She was born April 30, 1931in Okmulgee County to Hugh and Elizabeth (Wilson) Evans.
She was married to Calvin Irvin on Oct. 5, 1950 in Fort Smith, Ark. She had owned and operated a day care since 1969. She was also a seamstress and was active in the First Baptist Church South where she was a member. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son Glen Allen Irvin, a brother Felix Evans and two sisters, Catherine Liggins and Hazel Worthy.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Churchill and Cheri Williams, both of Beggs; six sons, Billy Charles Irvin of Atlanta, Davy Lee Irvin and Bobby Ray Irvin of Beggs, Eddie Wayne Irvin and Carlos Le'Roy Irvin of Tulsa and Aaron Wade Irvin of Garland, Texas; three sisters, Pearl Turner of Tulsa, Virginia Evans of Pasadena and Wilma Perry of Beggs; two brothers, Walter Evans of Wichita and Leo Evans of Tulsa; 26 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

are pending with the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Beggs.
LEWIS M. REED
Lewis Marion Reed, 90, of Schulter died June 7, 2001 at Tulsa. He was born March 6, 1911 to David Lewis Reed and Leet Ann (Christian) Reed.
He was a section foreman with the Frisco Railroad for some 42 years. He was a past member of the Tulledga (Bluelodge), member of Yorkrite, life member of Consistory, Consistory district membership chairman covering Okmulgee, Creek and Okfuskee counties, Past Patron of the Eastern Star, Past Royal Patron Amaranth, Past Watchman of the Shepherds for the White Shrine and a member of the Mystic Shrine (Bedouin Temple) and a Lions Club member. He was preceded in death by his wife Lola (Mitchell) Reed; stepson Ronald Cunningham; brother Ivan W. Reed; sisters, Lila and Lorene Reed, son, James Franklin Reed and three great-grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Marion Reed Sr., of Bentley, Atoka County and Bobby Lee Reed of Burkburnett, Texas; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and step daughter-in-law Helen Cunningham of the home.
Services were held Monday, June 11 at 2 p.m., at the Shurden Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in the Prague Cemetery under direction of the Shurden Funeral Home. Grandsons and family served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Masonic Lodge and Odd Fellows Lodge.

Mary McGill, 91, of Henryetta died June 10 at Henryetta.

DENNY T. PIPPIN
Denny Truman Pippin, 73, lifelong resident of Henryetta, died June 11, 2001at his residence. He was born March 1, 1928 south of Henryetta to William Clarence Pippin and Beatrice Thompson Pippin.
He was married to Wanda Parsons Pippin on Nov. 7, 1953 at Henryetta. He served in the Merchant Marines and the United States Army,11th Airborne during World War II and in the Korean Conflict. He was self-employed as a developer/builder in the construction field. In 1982, Denny, along with his son Douglas, brother Jack Pippin and Wiley Shoemaker and others, built the Shurden Funeral Home Chapel as it stands today. He was a member of the Church of the Firstborn, was a reserve police officer for the Okmulgee County Sheriff's Department and worked as a flight instructor for 10 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, W.C. and Teddy Ray Pippin.
Survivors include his wife Wanda of the home; a son, Douglas "Doug" Pippin and wife Tresa of Eufaula; two grandsons, two brothers, Jack Pippin of Henryetta and David Pippin of North Carolina; a sister, Clarence Crawford of Henryetta and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 13 at the Shurden Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Palmer Lockhart officiating. Burial will be in the New Sonora Cemetery under direction of the Shurden Funeral Home.
RAY MUSGRAVE
Ray Musgrave, 81, of Okmulgee died Monday, June 11, 2001 at a local nursing home. He was born September 12,1919 to Andrew and Goldie (Swaford) Musgrave in Okmulgee.
He was a life long resident of Okmulgee. He worked for Silvey Ford from 1934-1959 and was a service station manager for years. He was a member of the Church of Christ, American Legion and Lions Club. He was preceded him in death by his wife Wanda Musgrave and several brothers and sisters.
He is survived by a son Don Musgrave and his wife Donna of Canton, GA; a daughter Carol Fine of Abilene, Texas; one brother Andrew Musgrave Jr. of Bartlesville, OK, one sister Betty Vivar of Eufaula, OK six grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services
will be 1O:30 a.m. Thursday, June 14, 2001 at the Church of Christ in Okmulgee with Mr. Don Musgrave and Mr. Jack Shock officiating. Burial will follow in the Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 13, 2001 at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Okmulgee.
Casketbearers will be Dennie Musgrave, Zachary Sapp, Wyatt Martinez, Tommy Martinez, Ronnie Adkins, and Robbie Adkins.

CORIDON "CORKY" QUINN, JR.
Coridon "Corky" Quinn, Jr., 79, of Beaumont, TX, died June 6, 2001, at his residence.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, June 9, 2001 at 1 p.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, Beaumont. Burial was in Magnolia Cemetery in Beaumont. Arrangements were under the direction of Broussard's Mortuary of Beaumont. A Christian Vigil was held on Friday evening at 7 p.m. at the Mortuary.
A native of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, Mr. Quinn had lived in Marble Falls before moving to Beaumont. He was a retired geophysicist with Exxon and a United States World War II Army Air Corps Veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Quinn of Beaumont; sons, Coridon John Quinn III of Alpharetta, GA, Gerald Allen Quinn of Hickory, NC, Michael Carl Quinn of Providence, RI, Cris Edward Quin of Beaumont, TX, and Patrick Dennis Quinn of Austin, TX; daughters, Karen Ann Quinn of Norman, OK, Barbara Marie Carpinelli of Littleton, Colorado, and Susan Kay Quinn of Austin, TX; sister, Mercedes McClendon of Okmulgee, OK; eighteen grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
