DORETHA IRVIN
Doretha Irvin, 70, of Beggs died Sunday, June 10 in Jenks after a lengthy illness. She was born April 30, 1931in Okmulgee County to Hugh and Elizabeth (Wilson) Evans.
She was married to Calvin Irvin on Oct. 5, 1950 in Fort Smith, Ark. She had owned and operated a day care since 1969. She was also a seamstress and was active in the First Baptist Church South where she was a member. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son Glen Allen Irvin, a brother Felix Evans and two sisters, Catherine Liggins and Hazel Worthy.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Churchill and Cheri Williams, both of Beggs; six sons, Billy Charles Irvin of Atlanta, Davy Lee Irvin and Bobby Ray Irvin of Beggs, Eddie Wayne Irvin and Carlos Le'Roy Irvin of Tulsa and Aaron Wade Irvin of Garland, Texas; three sisters, Pearl Turner of Tulsa, Virginia Evans of Pasadena and Wilma Perry of Beggs; two brothers, Walter Evans of Wichita and Leo Evans of Tulsa; 26 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11a.m., Saturday, June 16 at the Beggs First Baptist Church South with Rev. Maurice Williams officiating. Burial will be in the New Bethel Cemetery.
Arrangements are under direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Beggs.
Friends may visit the funeral home from 10 a.m., until 8 p.m., on Friday, June 15.
BLANCH L. GORDON
Blanch Lovenia Gordon, 100, former Henryetta resident, died June 12, 2001 at the Evergreen Care Center at Owasso. She was born Aug. 11, 1900 at Cornell, Kan., to Lewis and Laura (Smith) Dawes.
She was an ordained minister and spent many hours studying the Bible and writing a journal of passages from the Bible. She was married to Bill Gordon who preceded her in death, along with a son, Clifford Gordon; a granddaughter, Peggy Mooney; brothers, Archie, Floyd and Roy and a sister, Irene.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, James and Mildred Gordon of California; a daughter-in-law, Doris Gordon of Henryetta; a sister, Inez Larson of Texas; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and 17great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 18 at 10 a.m., at the Robert Simons Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Westlawn Cemetery. Arrangements are under direction of the Robert Simons Funeral Home of Henryetta.
ODDIE V. NASH
Oddie V. Nash, 82, a resident of Dewar, died June 14, 2001 in an Oklahoma City Hospital.
Arrangements are pending with the House of Winn Funeral Home.
BESSIE MAE JONES
FINEST EVERETT JONES
Bessie Mae Jones, 88, and Finest Everett Jones, 81, former Okmulgee residents, currently of Wagoner, died Tuesday, June12, 2001 as the result of a traffic accident in Muskogee County.
Mrs. Jones' survivors include a son and wife Bobby and Majory Shahan of Wagoner; a daughter Peggy Ball of Broken Arrow; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. Jones' survivors include a brother, Bill Jones and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for the couple will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, June 15 at the Wagoner Baptist Church with Rev. Norm Standfield officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m., Friday at the Beggs City Cemetery under direction of the Mallett Funeral Home of Wagoner.
HAROLD ALBERT
Harold Albert, 57, of Okmulgee died June 12, 2001 in Okmulgee. He was born Aug. 4, 1943 at Henryetta to Cleo and Gladys Albert.
He was married to Ida Belle Barker on Dec. 20, 1968 at Henryetta. He was a pipeliner and worked construction for several years. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Claude Watson.
Survivors include his wife, Ida Belle Albert of the home; three sons, Bill and Phyllis Carson and David and Fran Albert, all of Okmulgee and Jackie and Billie Albert of Henryetta; two daughters, Patsy Yingling of Okmulgee and Gennie Albert of Tulsa; four sisters, Betty Watson of Council Hill, Sue and Jake Shilling of Tulsa, and Karen Albert and Debby Albert of Henryetta; 19 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services were Thursday, June 14 at 10:30 a.m., at the Shurden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Duke Britt officiating, assisted by Rev. Robert Lay. Burial was in the New Sonora Cemetery under direction of the Shurden Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Mark Carson, Michael Sanders, Joseph Shrewsbury, Terry Bullard, Ross Thorman and Bubby Yingling.

QUNETA MCLAUGHLIN
Quneta McLaughlin, 83, of Henryetta died June 13, 2001 at Henryetta.
Arrangements are pending with the Shurden Funeral Home.
SHERMAN DICKEY
Sherman Dickey,76, former resident of Henryetta died June 11, 2001 at White City, Oregon. He was born Dec. 31, 1924 to Mary Alice and Alec Dickey.
He retired from Pittsburgh Plate Glass after 22 years of employment and then worked as a security guard at the Utica National Bank in Tulsa. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion having served in Korea. He was reared in the Pentecostal Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Effie Rutherford, Ester Holt and Jettie Youngblood, a brother, Elmer Dickey and a great-grandchild Gabrille Wheeler.
Survivors include two daughters, Pamela Stout and husband Danny of Owasso and Debbie Barrett and husband Everett of Henryetta; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a brother, Jeff Dickey of Chectah.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Rogers Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, June 15 at 10:30 a.m., with Rev. Jim Paslay officiating.
LLOYD FRANK BUSH
Lloyd Frank Bush, 77, retired Oklahoma educator and former Okmulgee resident, died June 12, 2001 in Sherman, Texas. He was born May 21, 1924 in Calera, Okla., to Lowell Lloyd Bush and Charlie Clyde Haynie Bush.
He graduated from Calera High School and Southeastern State Teachers College (now Southeastern University). On Aug. 6, 1952 he was married to Ruby Bryant in Calera. She preceded him in death. He was then married to Wanda Lou McDonald on Nov. 29 1986 in Sherman. He taught in the Oklahoma School System for many years before his retirement in Okmulgee. He was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ, Oklahoma Education Associates and Oklahoma Teacher's Retirement Association. In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Lloyd Wayne Bush and a brother, Lawrence Ray Bush.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Bush of the home; two sons, Larry Joe Bush and wife Wanda of Rowlett, Texas and Steven Mark Bush and wife Stacey of Las Vegas, Nev.; stepsons, Johnny McDonald and wife Gail of Watauga, Texas and Jimmy Dale McDonald of Sherman; stepdaughters, Phyllis Shaver and husband Tony of Sherman and Susan Jane Morris and husband Dennis of Savannah Ga.; sisters, Barbara Ann McCollum and husband Ray of Mesquite, Texas and Donna Jo Thompson and husband Norman of Arlington, Texas; six grandchildren and 10 step-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at the Dannel Funeral Home Chapel in Sherman, Texas at 11 a.m., Friday, June15 with Rev. Dennis Morris of Savannah, Ga., officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Calera. Pallbearers will be Randy Bush, Brian Bush, Tommy Shaver, Steven McCollum, Tony Shaver and Matthew Morris.
RAY MUSGRAVE
Ray Musgrave, 81, of Okmulgee died Monday, June 11, 2001 at a local nursing home. He was born September 12, 1919 to Andrew and Goldie (Swaford) Musgrave in Okmulgee.
He was a life long resident of Okmulgee. He worked for Silvey Ford from 1934-1959 and was a service station manager for years. He was a member of the Church of Christ, American Legion and Lions Club. He was preceded him in death by his wife Wanda Musgrave and several brothers and sisters.
He is survived by a son Don Musgrave and his wife Donna of Canton, GA; a daughter Carol Fine of Abilene, Texas; one brother Andrew Musgrave Jr. of Bartlesville, OK, one sister Betty Vivar of Eufaula, OK six grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 14, 2001 at the Church of Christ in Okmulgee with Mr. Don Musgrave and Mr. Jack Shock officiating. Burial will follow in the Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 13, 2001 at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Okmulgee.
Casketbearers will be Dennie Musgrave, Zachary Sapp, Wyatt Martinez, Tommy Martinez, Ronnie Adkins, and Robbie Adkins.
HAROLD ALBERT
Harold Albert, 57, of Okmulgee died June 12, 2001 in Okmulgee. He was born Aug. 4, 1943 at Henryetta to Cleo and Gladys Albert.
