MANDEL WILSON
Mandel Wilson, 93, of Henryetta died Nov. 27, 2001 in Oklahoma City. He was born April 4, 1908 in McAlester to Ned Wilson and Haley Swindell Wilson.
He was an electrician and very athletic. He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Bill Wilson.
Survivors include two brothers, W. J. Wilson of Terre Haute, Ind., and Cecil G. Wilson of Henryetta; a number of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
Graveside services
will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 1 at Westlawn Cemetery with Don Swinney officiating. Services are under direction of the Shurden Funeral Home.
BILLY GEORGE YOUNG
Billy George Young, 66, of Mounds died Thursday, November 29, 2001 at his home. He was born July 20, 1935 in Sallisaw, OK to George Washington and Sophie Young.
He was in the oil and trucking business. He once made the largest oil and gas deal between Oklahoma and Texas. He worked as the President of three oil and gas companies and was also in the trucking business. He worked and contributed to World Mission Field, currently working with the Bethesda Boys Home and Bethesda Missionary.
Survivors include his wife Loretta of the home; two daughters, Debi George and husband Rodney of Henryetta and Darla Doyle and husband John of Mounds; one son Ron Young of Mounds, four grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and nieces. and
Those that preceded him in death were: his parents, oldest son Billy Dewayne, a grandson Billy Wayne Doyle, two brothers Alfred and Bob Young and one sister.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, December 3, 2001 at the First Assembly of God Church in Henryetta, with Rev . Brian Miller officiating. Burial will follow at 3 p.m., at the Sallisaw City Cemetery in Sallisaw, OK under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Beggs.
Visitation will be from 2 until 8 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home in Beggs.
Casketbearers will be co-workers at the Bethesda Boys Ranch.
BETTY JEAN BELL
Betty Jean Bell, 77, of Longmont, Colorado, died November 11, 2001, at a nursing facility.
She was born February 13, 1924, in Okmulgee, OK to James Walter Good and Odessa (Odom) Good. Raised in Okmulgee, she graduated from Okmulgee High School in 1941. She married Wilmer Bell on August 25, 1942 in Okmulgee.
She and her husband owned and operated Bell's Grocery Store and Bell Auto Salvage until the death of Mr. Bell.
She was a member of the Church of Christ in both Okmulgee and Loveland, CO.
She developed an interest in art and attend Oklahoma State Tech to enhance her artistic skills, as well as studying under noteworthy artists as Richard Goetz, George Koutopis, and Hugh Walkinshaw. Her works are in a number of Oklahoma Gallers and also appeared in 1983 at the Le Salan Des Nations Gallery, Paris, France.
Mrs. Bell was also a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, the Okmulgee Art Guild, serving on the board a number of years, including the President in 1974.
Mrs. Bell was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother Charles Good, sisters Norma Brasier and Patsy James and a granddaughter Stacie Bell.
Survivors include her daughter Deena (Steve) Stanley of Longmont, CO., her sons Dick (Martha McCuddy) Bell of Oklahoma City, OK and Thomas (Ramona) Bell of Edmond, OK. Further surviving are her sister Reba Jo Reynolds, Morris, OK, five grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 3 at the Church of Christ, Okmulgee, OK. Interment
will follow at the Okmulgee Cemetery. Contributions may be made to thc National Alzheimer's Foundation, c/o Howe Mortuary.
McClendon-Winters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
WILLIE MAE DANIEL
Willie Mae Daniel, 80, died Wednesday, November 28, 2001 in Okmulgee. She was born on Friday, June 3, 1921 to William Posey and Donnie (Gann) Gordan in Texas.
She attended Stidham schools. A resident of Morris for over 50 years, she was a member of the Church of Christ in Morris and served as a Sunday School teacher and was a member of the Ladies Bible class. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd C. Daniel, two brothers; and three sisters.
Survivors include a son, John F. Daniel of Okmulgee; daughter, Darlene Wise and husband Neal of Morris; two sisters, Donnie Rhodes of Eufaula, OK. and Allie Mae Ballard of Odessa, Texas; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services
were 2:0O p.m. Thursday, November 29, at the Church of Christ in Morris. Burial followed in the Checotah Cemetery with services officiated by Kelly Brown.
Pallbearers were Deke, Nicky and Neal Wise, Jeff Yerby and John Daniel. Services were under direction of the Kelley Funeral Home.
VERNON SIMS
Vernon Sims, 68, and a resident of Okmulgee died on Tuesday, November 27, 2001 in the Veterans Administration Center at Talihina, Okla. He was born on January 11, 1933 in Okmulgee, the son of Jasper and Lucy (Peters) Sims.
He was a lifelong resident of Okmulgee and a graduate of Dunbar High School. He served his Country in the United States Army from 1953 to 1956.
He is survived by his wife, Delores Sims of the home in Okmulgee; his son, Jimmie Binford of Okmulgee; his daughters, Detra Ellis, Verna Smith and Shamone Sims, all of Okmulgee; his brother, Wilford Sims, Tulsa, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

are pending with the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors., Inc., of Okmulgee.

IMOGENE GRAY
lmogene Evelyn (Martin) Gray, 76, of Morris, died Saturday, November 24, 2001 in Morris. She was born September 17, 1925 in Russellville, AR to Mr. and Mrs. Homer H. Martin. She retired from Ball Brothers Glass and enjoyed sewing, traveling and gardening.
Survivors include her husband Tom Gray four daughters Mary Ellen Dickey of Bremerton, WA, Shirley Ann Crouse of Long Beach, CA, Frances Jean Miller, Jayne Sue Collins both of Lancaster, CA, one sister Ina Del Todd of Okmulgee; ten grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one sister and one son Thomas Andrew Stumbaugh.
Funeral services
will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 30, 2001 at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel in Okmulgee with Dr. Dennis Taylor Officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Owasso, OK. Casketbearers will be David Martin, John Dickey, Charlie Rogers, Floyd Sharp, Willard Dunagan and Neal Brigance. Services are under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Okmulgee.
MARTHA L. MCBEE
Martha Louise McBee, 71, longtime Okmulgee resident, passed away Tuesday morning, November 27, 2001, in Okmulgee. She was born May 17, 1930 in Coalgate, Oklahoma to Delmer and Grace (Wilson) Bigelow.
She graduated from Savannah High School and married William Silas McBee on July 5, l 952 in McAlester. She taught cosmetology for over 30 years, mostly in Okmulgee. She was a member of the VFW Ladies' Auxiliary and was a Baptist. She enjoyed bowling and loved playing bingo. She was a very hard worker and her home was where all the neighborhood kids came.
Survivors include her mother, Grace Bigelow of McAlester; four daughters, Vivian Hamon, Marsha McBee and Kathey Chandler, all of Okmulgee, and Billie Graueberger of Henryetta; four brothers, Randal Bigelow of Coalgate, Larry Bigelow, Jackie Bigelow, and Gary Bigelow, all of McAlester; two sisters, Cledith McCord of Ardmore and Linda Van Meter of Tulsa; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, husband, a sister, Viva Low Ann Bigelow and longtime companion, William Jack Clay.
Funeral services
will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 30, 2001, at the Destiny Church with Pastor Scott Fetgatter officiating. Burial will follow in the Okmulgee Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Charles Taylor, David Nichols, Joshua Bennett, Dennis Walker, Robert Clay, Daniel Sanchez and Jimmy Martin.
Friends may visit the funeral home from 10 a.m., to 8 p.m. Thursday. Services are under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.

EDWIN COOK
Edwin Cook, 86, of Hitchita died Nov. 26, 2001 at Hitchita. He was born Sept. 6, 1915 near Allen, Okla., to Robert "Jakc" Cook and Minnie Allen Cook. He was married to Helen Berryhill on April 19, 1935. He was a retired postmaster with United States Postal Service, retiring from the Hitchita Post Office after serving for 32 years. He was also a merchant for 34 years. He was veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Tulledge Masonic Lodge and was a trustee of the Hitchita Lackey Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Albert and a sister, Laverne.
Survivors include his wife Helen of the home; two daughters, Charlene Reynolds and husband John of Bixby; three grandchildren three great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be held Thursday, Nov. 29 at 2:30 p.m., at the Hitchita Holiness Church with J. C. Morgan and Lamar Kindell officiating. Burial will be in the Hitchita Lackey Cemetery under direction of the Shurden Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be David Reynolds, Kent Reynolds, Mark Thomas, Lawrence McCullah, Don Scott and Phil Davis.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 until 6 p.m., on Wednesday, Nov. 28.
