DEANNA M. PATTY

Deanna Morrow Patty, 62, former area resident, died March 30, 2002 in New Orleans, La.

She was a native of Okemah, Okla., and was a self-employed water color artist. She was instrumental in starting the non-profit organization Interfaith International. She earned her Bachelor of arts in Arts Education and in History/Social Studies from Central University in Ada, Okla. and received many honors for her work with the Girl Scouts. She has been named in Who's Who in American Women and honored for 2000 hours of volunteer work. She has also been inducted into the Okemah Hall of Fame.

Survivors include a son, R. Andrew Patty II of Baton Rouge, La.; a daughter, Monique Patty Bucaro of New Orleans, La.; a brother, Robert Morrow of Okmulgee; two sisters, Connie Williamson of Oklahoma City and Joyce Yates of Henryetta; three grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 5 at St. George's Episcopal Church. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery at Baton Rouge, La. under direction of the Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp Funeral Home.

The family suggests that contributions be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

ROBERT SHULTZ

Robert (Bob) Shultz, of Tulsa, died Monday, April 1, 2002 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa at the age of 67. He was born January 7, 1935 in Rockfield, Missouri to Paul Shultz and Mildred Bain Shultz.

He was a truck driver and a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War.

Survivors include his mother Mildred Hughes of Nevada; a daughter, Marla Blocker and husband Avery of Beggs; sons, Ronald Shultz of Arizona and Bob Shultz and Lori of Montana; five grandchildren, one great grandchild, a sister, Betty Gericke of Belton, Mo., and a brother, Dean Shultz of Nevada. He was preceded in death by his father in 1996.

Graveside rites will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, April 8, at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery with Pastor Dick Knox officiating.

Services are under direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Beggs.

Visitation will be Sunday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

CARL 'BUDDY' MILLS

Carl Earnest buddy" Mills, lifelong Beggs area resident, died Tuesday evening, April 2, 2002 near Beggs at the age of 37. He was born September 25, 1964 in Okmulgee to Ray and Erna (Bryant) Mills.

He married Judy Kay Mott on September 25, 1998. He was a Wildlife Technician for the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Game Division. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mounds and had completed CLEET Training as part of his wildlife training.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Mills of Beggs, two daughters, Rayna Elizabeth Mills and Katherine Louise Mills, both of Florida, one step-daughter, Stacey Collins of the home, a step-son, Craig Calloway of Tulsa, four step-grandchildren, a brother, Darrell Mills of Beggs, two sisters, Erna Dianne James of Bristow and Tammy Gael Miller of Norman. He was preceded in death by a step-son, David Calloway.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 5, 2002 at the First Baptist Church of Beggs with Reverend Tom Tidwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Beggs Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 12-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home chapel. Services are under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Beggs.

JUDY KAY MILLS

Judy Kay Mills, Beggs resident, died Tuesday evening, April 2, 2002 near Beggs at the age of 45. She was born July 26, 1956 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Clarence H. and Doris W (Henson) Mott.

She was a partner at Blucher Boot Company in Beggs and had been a resident of the Beggs area for 3 years. She married Carl Mills on September 25, 1998. Mrs. Mills was preceded in death by her father, a son, David Calloway, sisters, Phylis Joy and Betty Joyce Mott, and brothers, Larry Wayne Mott and Gary Mott

Survivors include her mother and step-father, Doris and Willie Cates of Dustin; a son Craig Calloway of Broken Arrow; a daughter, Stacey Collins of the home, four grandchildren, a brother, Phillip Mott of Beggs; sisters, Janice Arnold of Tulsa, Kathey Meyers of Okmulgee, and Sheila Gilliam of Weatherford, Texas.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 5, 2002 at the First Baptist Church of Beggs with Reverend Tom Tidwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Beggs Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 12-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home chapel. Services are under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Beggs.

LEONARD GUILLORY JR.

Leonard "Sonny" Guillory Jr. 61, long time resident of Grayson, died Friday, March. 29, 2002 in his home. He was born Nov 25, 1940 in Henryetta to Leonard Sr. and Bertha (Bradford) Guillory. He retired from McDonnell-Douglas in Tulsa and was also an avid rodeo fan.

Preceding him in death are his parents and young brother, William "Billy" Guillory.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Frances D. Guillory, of the home, four sons, John Turrentine, Stephon Turrentine Kevin Guillory, all of Tulsa, and Leonard Guillory III, Johannesburg, South Africa; three daughters, Saundra Turrentine, Deborah Edison, both of Tulsa, Biafra Ervin, Atlanta, Ga.; one brother, George Guillory, Tulsa, 14 grandchildren, four great grandchildren and numerous relatives and friends.

Funeral mass will be Friday at 10 a.m. in the Uganda Martyrs Catholic Church with Fr. Amalor Vima, the celebrant. The rosary was Thursday at 7 p.m. at Uganday Martyrs. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Grayson, under the direction of the House of Winn Funeral Home.

CHRISTINA HAYS

Christina Hunter Hays, 86, of Henryetta died April 3, 2002 in Midwest City. She was bon Nov. 6, 1915 in Cambria, Okla., to Andrew and Allie (Falconer) Patterson Sr.

She married James Hays on March 7, 1936 at Hartshorne Okla. She attended the First Presbyterian Church and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband on Dec. 28, 1969, an infant son, a brother Andrew Patterson Jr., and a granddaughter Shelia Dawn Sams in 1964.

Survivors include a son, Jim Hays and wife Bette of Jenks; a daughter, Barbara Walker of Midwest City; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert E. "Bob" Patterson and wife

Linda of Henryetta; two sisters, Vermelle Gilreath of Globe, Ariz., and Katherine Newman of Englewood, Colo. and many nieces and nephews.

Services are scheduled for 11 a.m., Saturday, April 6, at the Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. George Christy officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Shane Hott, Buddy Hott, Calvin Earnhart, Jay Beachel, Benny Gooden and Cleo Miller.

Visitation with the family will be Friday, April 5, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Rogers Funeral Home.

FLOY M. SMITH

Floy Marie Smith, 94, a resident of Okmulgee since 1937, died on Monday, April 1, 2002 in Okmulgee. She was born Sunday, July 14, 1907 in Jasper, Arkansas to Columbus and Rebecca (O'Neal) Farmer.

She married Alfred Jonah Smith on December 15, 1923. She was a homemaker and a member of the Living Way Tabernacle in Okmulgee. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, husband Alfred, two sons, Billy Walter Smith and James Paul Smith; two brothers, Eldon and Sammy Farmer; two sisters, Gay Smith and Elise Smith.

Survivors include two daughters, Marie McGinnis of Okmulgee and JoAnn Glenn and husband, Harold D. of Okmulgee; five sons, Clarence Smith and wife, Vesta of Okmulgee, Ralph Smith and wife, Amy of Okmulgee, Claud Smith and wife, Virginia of Henryetta, Jim Smith and wife, Ann of Okmulgee and Virgil Smith and wife, Patsy of Okmulgee; two sisters, Clema Jean Davis and husband, Quinton of Rogers, Arkansas and Dossie Carmack of Harrison, Arkansas and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral Services are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 3 at the Living Way Tabernacle in Okmulgee officiated by Pastor Melvin Creason. Burial will follow at the Morris Cemetery under the Direction of the Shurden-Kelley Funeral Home of Okmulgee. Grandsons will serve as Pallbearers.

PERRY MARTIN JR.

Perry Martin Jr., 49, of Henryetta died March 31, 2002 in Tulsa. He was born Sept. 30, 1952 in Yuba City, Calif., to Perry O. Martin Sr., and Laverne (Tweedy) Martin.

He was a member of the Henryetta First Church of the Nazarene and was a maintenance laborer with the Henryetta Public Schools. He was preceded in death by his father on June 5, 2001.

Survivors include his mother, Laverne Martin of Henryetta; two sons, Fred Martin and wife Sandy of Tulsa and Marshall Martin and wife Christina of Henryetta; a daughter, Heather Martin of Henryetta; two grandchildren and a brother, Larry Martin of Surprise, Ariz.

Services will be Wednesday, April 3 at 10:00 a.m., at the First Church of the Nazarene in Henryetta with Rev. Lowell Churchill officiating. Burial will be in the Dustin Cemetery under direction of the Shurden Funeral Home.

GEORGIA MAE WILLHITE

Georgia Mae Willhite, 88, of Henryetta died March 30, 2002 at her home. She was born July 4, 1913 in Henryetta to Bill Dodge and Carrie Baumberger Dodge.

She was married to Rev. Wilson "Sonny" Willhite on Aug. 25,1936. She was a member of the Dewar United Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a homemaker and an avid gardener. She was preceded in death by her husband on June 24, 2001, her parents, two sisters, Bessie Spurlock and Hudy Middleton and three brothers, Jim Dodge, Ralph "Buck" Dodge and Emmett Dodge.

Survivors include a daughter, Fern Crouch and husband John of Henryetta; a son, Eddie Willhite of Henryetta; one brother, Connie Dodge and wife Gladys of Henryetta; three grandchildren; two great-grandsons, five great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 3 at the Dewar United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Matthew Martin officiating. Burial will be in the New Sonora Cemetery under direction of the Shurden Funeral Home. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.

CHARLES BOSSERT JR.

Charles F. Bossert Jr., 68, died March 25, 2002. He was born in Jeannette, Pa., on Feb. 28, 1934 to Anna Bossert and Charles F. Bossert Sr.

He worked at DuPont in Tulsa before his retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Francis E. Bossert.

Survivors include a few relatives and a host of friends and associates.

A brief memorial in his memory will be held Thursday, April 4 at 1 p.m., at St. Michaels Church in Henryetta with Father Joseph Vadake Chirayeth officiating.

Memorials may be made to St. Michaels Catholic Church of Henryetta or Hospice at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa.

LEON RICHARDSON JR.

Leon Richardson Jr., 58 and a resident of Seattle, Wash., formerly of Okmulgee, died on March 24, 2002 in Seattle. He was born on September 9, 1943, the son of Leon and Lillie (Hayes)Richardson in Okmulgee.

He attended Okmulgee Public Schools, where he graduated from Dunbar High School with the class of 1963. He served his country in the United States Army. He lived in Tulsa before he moved to Seattle in 1990. He was preceded in death by his mother, 2 sisters and a brother.

Survivors include his father, Leon Richardson, Sr., Okmulgee, sons, Kevin Richardson, Seame, WA and Seymore Richardson, Tulsa, a daughter, Estella Richardson, Wichita, KS, 3 grandchildren; 3 brothers, Jimmy Richardson and Harvey Richardson, both of Tulsa, and Rudolph Richardson, Beggs, 3 sisters, Susie Crawford, Stella James and Joyce Hill, all of Okmulgee, along with, a host of other relatives and friends.

Service of Memory will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2002 at 11:00 a.m., at the Biglow Funeral Chapel. Rev. Gregory Richardson will officiate. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery. Funeral services are under the direction of the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc., of Okmulgee. Dunbar High School Class of 1963 will serve as casket bearers. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 12 Noon until 7:00 p.m.
