Nutley
Funeral services
for Mildred Mae Nutley are set for 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004 at the Martin Funeral Home Chapel, Elk City, with Tom Harguess officiating.
Interment
will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Martin Funeral Home of Elk City.
Mildred Mae Nutley was born Feb. 23, 1913, in Washita County to Dave and Addie (Webb) Elliott and died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2004, at the age of 91.
She attended Canute Schools before her marriage to Joe Nutley on Aug. 17, 1934, in Arapaho.
The Nutleys lived most of their married life in western Oklahoma. She loved to quilt and can.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, one sister and one son-in-law.
Survivors include two daughters, Margaret Clark of Elk City, and Janie Bonds and her husband Harold of Elk City; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Muldowney
Betty Louise Muldowney was born July 19, 1925, in Hobart to Patty Gattis Aday and Emmett Aday. She died Nov. 29 at Sears Methodist Nursing Home in Abilene, Texas.
She was a graduate of Hobart High School with the class of 1943 and was married to Pat Muldowney.
They were agents for Morgan Freight Company where she worked as bookkeeper.
She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Wichita Falls, Texas, and was a member of Daughters of the Nile, Shelomi Temple.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Pat, and a brother, Ralph Aday.
Muldowney is survived by her daughter, Patricia Muldowney of Abilene, Texas; a sister, Carol Harkness of Abilene, Texas; four nieces and four nephews.
Graveside services
are set for 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, at Hobart Rose Cemetery of Hobart officiated by Jack Ridlehoover.
Arrangements are with Peoples Cooperative Funeral Home of Lone Wolf.
Daugherty
Patrisha Renae Daugherty, 55, died Monday, Nov. 29, 2004, at Jackson County Memorial Hospital.
Patricia was born December 1, 1948, in Hollis to Sam and Ora Mae (Johnson) Hopkins.
On Nov. 9, 1985, Patrisha married Thomas Wayne Daugherty at the First Assembly of God Church in Altus.
Patrisha was a homemaker and was very active with her church, Glad Tidings Assembly of God, where she participated in the missionary and women's ministries.
Patrisha was preceded in death by her grandparents and a very special cousin, Jackie Hubbard.
She is survived by her husband, Tom of the home in Altus, Oklahoma; mother, Ora Mae Hopkins of Altus; two daughters, Sheila Ann Culbertson and husband Jeff of Windsor, Mo., and Tiara Taylor and husband Eugene Brown of Oklahoma City and two grandsons; Jeff Culbertson and Taylor Scott Culbertson of Windsor, Mo.
Funeral services
will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004, at the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church with the Rev. John Johnson officiating.
Interment
will follow at Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
Family will greet friends Wednesday evening, Dec. 1, 2004 from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
Davis
Funeral services
for Cecil Vincent Davis, 78, of Frederick, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2004, in the Gray Gish Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brent Morey, pastor of Bible Baptist Church, officiating.
Davis died Saturday, November 27, 2004, at his home in Frederick.
He will be taking his final flight to St. Joseph, Mo., for graveside services at Ashland Cemetery, 2324 Ashland Boulevard, St. Joseph, Missouri.
Cecil was born on Feb. 28, 1926, in St. Joseph, Mo, to Artie Columbus and Gertie Jane Davis.
He completed the ninth grade in 1942 at LaFayette Junior High School in St. Joseph, Mo.
He worked as a parking lot attendant for White Flash Parking Company in St. Paul, Minn., for six months.
Later he was a staple operator employed by the Maywood Glass Company of Maywood, Calif.
Cecil entered the Military on May 5, 1944, at Fort MacArthur, Calif.
He completed seven weeks of telephone communication school at Camp Stewart, Ga., in September 1944.
As a private, he served for four months in Coast Artillery Basic Training and then two months as rifleman.
Then as private first class he served six months as a mortar gunner, three months as sales clerk, six months as a light truck driver, and four months as a dog trainer. Cecil received a Combat Infantryman Badge on Feb. 1, 1944.
He served in the Ardennes Rhineland central Europe during World War II.
While serving his country he was awarded the EAME campaign ribbon with three bronze stars and Good Conduct Metal, a Victory Ribbon, and two overseas service bars.
He was honorably discharged as a private first class Company A 289th Infantry in the Army on June 13, 1946, at Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
Cecil lived most of his life in California, working for Lever Brothers, as an electrician, retiring after 35 years.
His passion was flying aircrafts. While enjoying flying, he earned a commercial pilot's single engine aircraft license. He moved to Frederick in 1989 to be with his brother, Carl and family.
While in route of moving his last load of possessions to Frederick, his brother, Carl, passed away.
He enjoyed doing volunteer work for the Civil Air Patrol at Frederick.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Dorothy Elma and Myrtle Ellen; and four brothers, Charlie Elmer, Edward Earl, Carl Louis and Artie Russell Davis.
He is survived by his sister-in-law: M. Blanche Davis, of Frederick; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Collmer
Albert Lee Collmer, 86, of Hobart, was born March 1, 1918, near Roosevelt to Dovie Stella Rucker Collmer and Fredrick Jacup Collmer. He died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004, at Elkview General Hospital in Hobart.
He was married to Gladys (Stephens Hand) Collmer at Roosevelt in February 1950. Mr. Collmer lived in this area all his life and farmed near Roosevelt until he retired in 1985.
He was a veteran of World War II during which he was a heavy machine gunner in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, eight brothers and sisters, Roy, Ray, his twin brother Alfred Dee, Alvie, Lora Walker, Inez Poindexter, Edna Conn Ellis and Lela Smith.
Mr. Collmer is survived by his wife, Gladys Collmer of Cordell; four sons, Ray and wife Carolyn of Florida, Danny Collmer of Lone Wolf, Phil Collmer of Hobart, Jimmy Collmer, of the home; a daughter, Shirley Funkhouser and husband, Stan of Hobart; five grandchildren, Joe and Julie Funkhouser of Weatherford, Dawn Collmer Moore and Cale Collmer of Arizona, Heath Collmer and wife, Jamie of Altus, two great-grandchildren, Savannah and Collin Moore of Arizona and two sisters, Faye Gumm of Broken Arrow and Cleo Porter of Sulphur as well as numerous nieces & nephews and his beloved dog, Pooch.
Graveside services
for Albert Lee Collmer will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2004, at the Roosevelt Cemetery in Roosevelt with Alvin Funkhouser officiating.
Arrangements are with People's Co-operative Funeral Home of Lone Wolf.
Rogers
Mary F. Rogers, 86, of Altus, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004, at her home.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home.
Rogers was born Sept. 20, 1918, in Hannibal, Mo., to James F. and Ethel M. Reynolds.
She graduated from Hannibal schools.
She married Russell A. Rogers on Oct. 28, 1938, in Hannibal, Mo. To this union, two children were born. Mary was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She worked tirelessly as a homemaker. She built miniature doll houses and doll furniture, cooking and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son Russell D. Rogers; one sister and a brother.
She is survived by her son, John A. Rogers and wife Margaret of Blair; her daughter in law, Julie Rogers; four grandchildren, James Rogers, Wichita, Kan., Jeffery Rogers and wife Nannett of Dallas, Mary Ellen Keith and husband James of Tacoma, Wash., and Donald Rogers of Tacoma, Wash.; nine great grandchildren and many friends.
