Mickey Pat Merrill
Graveside services for Mickey Pat Merrill, 75, Burleson, Texas were held Friday, May 23, 2003, at 2:00 p.m. at Green Hill Cemetery, Davis with Rev. James Merrill officiating.
Interment was at Green Hill Cemetery under the direction of Fox Funeral Home, Davis.
Mr. Merrill was born January 8, 1928 in Shawnee to Charles and Flora Maberry Merrill.
He died on May 18, 2003, at Fort Worth Texas.
Mr. Merrill grew up in Southern Oklahoma and attended school in Wilson and graduated from Durant High School in 1945.
He served in the Army and then attended OU where he graduated with a degree in Pharmacy.
Mr. Merrill worked in pharmacies in Oklahoma City, Durant, Dallas and Fort Worth.
Other family members preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers, Charles R. Merrill and Wendell H. Merrill.
He is survived by one sister, Rella F. Helms and husband, Joe Merrill, Okla. City; five nephews and two nieces.
Roy Charles Fry
Graveside services for Roy Charles Fry, 89, Konawa, were held Saturday, May 24, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at Hillside Cemetery in Purcell with Rev. Charley Henthorn officiating.
Interment was at Hillside Cemetery under the direction of Pickard-Swearingen Funeral Home, Konawa.
Mr. Fry was born November 21, 1913 in Newton, Kan. to Frank Richard Fry and Bertha Elizabeth (Rath) Fry.
He died on May 22, 2003 at Mercy Health Center, Oklahoma City.
On July 25, 1936 he married Barbara "Olene" (Barton) Fry in Purcell.
He lived the last six years of his life in Konawa, moving there from Madill.
He retired from Kraft Foods and was a Baptist.
His parents preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara "Olene" Fry, of the home; two children, Roy Fry, Jr., Chihuahua, Mexico and Monte Surber, Konawa; one brother, Roland Fry, Altus; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Warren Henry Swinford
The family of Warren Henry Swinford, 50, held a private funeral services.
Interment was at the Dolberg Cemetery under the direction of Cowley-Krien Funeral Home.
Mr. Swinford was born on December 1, 1952 in Henderson, Nev. to Orville Swinford and Fern (Willie) Swinford.
He died May 23, 2003 at his residence in Sulphur.
He was born and lived in Henderson, Nev. until he moved to Stratford in 1960.
He lived in Startford and Sulphur until 1983, then moved to Anchorage, Alaska.
He lived there from 1983 to 1988 then returned to Sulphur where he lived the remainder of his life.
He was a member of the World Wide Church of God.
Those who preceded him in death were his mother and father.
He is survived by two sons, Aaron Robert Swinford, Wynnewood, and T.J. Swinford, Sulphur; one daughter, Leslee Nichole Furr, Wynnewood; the mother of his children, Debbie Brown; four grandchildren; one sister, Linda Herring, Sulphur and one brother, Glenn Swinford, Antioch, Calif.
Heather Ann Rush
Rosary for Heather Ann Rush, 25, will be held Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at Clagg Funeral Home with Deacon Mike Radosevich officiating.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 30, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis Catholic Church in Sulphur with Father Ray Ackerman officiating.
Services are under the direction of Clagg Funeral Home.
She was born Monday, February 27, 1978 at Stettler Alberta, Canada to David John Rush and Margaret Rose Zorn Rush.
She died Sunday, May 25, 2003 at Norman, Okla.
She had lived in Roff and Sulphur area most other life.
She graduated from Sulphur High School in 1997 then attended ECU majoring in Art.
She had lived in Norman since January.
She had worked for Pizza Hut in Davis, Sulphur and Ada.
She was currently working for Hobby Lobby in Norman.
She attended St. Frances Catholic Church in Sulphur and St Joseph Catholic Church in Ada.
She is survived by her parents, David and Margaret Rush, Roff; a son, Dylan James Rush, Roff; a brother, James Rush, Roff; a sister, Jennifer Rush, Roff; and two nieces Carley and Rileigh Rush, Roff.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
Carl Rowe, Jr.
Services for Carl Rowe, Jr., 78, were held Thursday, May 29, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. at Fox Funeral Chapel in Davis.
Interment was at Green Hill Cemetery, Davis, under the direction of Fox Funeral Home.
He was born on July 5, 1924 in Sulphur, to Carl and Berdie (Bean) Rowe.
He died on May 25, 2003 at Arbuckle Memorial Hospital in Sulphur.
On July 13, 1946 he married Susan Joanna Vernon in Yuma, Ariz.
Carl lived in this area most of his life, attending school at Woodland.
He served in the Navy during WW II, receiving the Purple Heart and other medals.
He was a member of the Davis Seventh Day Adventist Church.
He is survived by his wife, of the home, Susan Joanna Row, Davis; one son, John Rowe and wife, Janet, Knoxville, Tenn.; one brother, Edmond Rowe, Lakeside, Calif.; four sisters, Wanda Stoll, Kansas, Okla., Warrie Solace, Maybell, Colo., Laverne Johnson, La Mesa, Calif. and Margaret Templeton, Euless, Texas; two grandsons, Nathan and Jonathan and several nieces and nephews
Pallbearers were Chuck Hill, Stanley Vernon, Rob Vernon, Ricky Stutt and Stever Warner.
Honorary Pallbears were Nathan Rowe and Jonathan Rowe.
