Dorthy Smith
POCOLA — Dorthy L. Smith, 67, of Pocola died Wednesday, April 4, 2001, in Tulsa. She was a member of Christian Grove Free Will Baptist Church.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Christian Grove Free Will Baptist Church with burial at Macedonia Cemetery in Pocola under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Spiro.
She is survived by her husband, Clifford; two sons, Richard and Ronnie Smith, both of Pocola; three sisters, Frankie Dorsey of Fort Smith, Wanda Shackleford Carolyn Richardson, both of Wichita, Kan.; four brothers, Jerry Smith of North Carolina, Levi Smith of Fort Smith, Joyce Dean Smith of Salina, Kan., and Ferrel Smith of Cincinnati; and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be the members of the Men’s Sunday School.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Wanda Marie Foster
Wanda Marie Foster, 64, of Quinton, Okla., passed away Sunday, Feb. 20, 2005, at Quinton Manor Nursing Home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. today at the Greater Refuge United Pentecostal Church with the Rev. George Mantooth officiating. Burial will follow at Palestine Cemetery under the direction of Hunn, Black Funeral Home of Quinton, Okla.
Pallbearers will be David Colwell, Randy Spradley, Robby Spradley, Jody Spradley, Wesley Ginn, Adam Johnson, Rick Spradley and Kenny Blaylock.
Wanda Marie was born Oct. 5, 1940, in Quinton, Okla., the daughter of Walter and Alta Levinne Ginn. In April 1967, Wanda married Harry Foster. He preceded her in death in 1987. She was a member of the Greater Refuge United Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include: her son, Jerry Ginn and wife Paula of Spiro; her daughter, Lisa Barholm and husband Ronnie of Virginia Beach, Va.; brothers, Leon Ginn of Hydro, Okla., and Clinton Ginn of Heavener; sisters, Dena Robertson of Quinton, Sue Spradley and husband Brody of Shady Point, and Betty Johnson of Grand Island, Neb. Wanda is also survived by seven grandchildren, Jessica French, Michael Ginn, Denise French and Danielle French, all of Barling, Brandon and Chris Norgaar, both of Van Buren, and Ronnie Barholm Jr. of Virginia Beach, Va. She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother; and one grandchild, Paula French.

Gerald C. Gammill
Gerald C. Gammill, age 80, of Fort Smith, AR passed away Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005, in a local hospital.
Mr. Gammill was born in Shady Point, OK on July 20, 1924, to Annie and W.C. Gammill. He grew up in Branch. He worked for the U.S. Geological Survey in Rolla, Mo., before joining the Army in 1943. He was a staff sergeant, serving in France and Germany during World War II. He received two Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart.
He retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 30 years of service, then became involved in selling real estate.
He was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church in Fort Smith, where he helped form the first Little League baseball teams.
He loved any kind of sporting activities and was an avid golfer.
Mr. Gammill is survived by his wife of 57 years, Dorothy of the home; a son, Tom and his wife Gina of Fort Smith; a granddaughter, Paige of Fort Smith; a grandson, Denton of Fort Smith; and three nieces, Mary Nelle Hammett of Conway and Rosemary Anderson and Nan Parks, both of Fort Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, W.C. Gammill Jr.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Fort Smith.
A private family committal will be held Tuesday, March 1, at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith with a public memorial service at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Carl Smith Sunday School Class, Hugh Swofford, J.B. Hanson, Dr. Gary Edwards, Eddie Parks and Ed Robertson.

Howard Doyle “Tincy” Laymon
Howard Doyle “Tincy” Laymon, 65, of Clarksville, AR passed away Saturday, Feb. 19, 2005, in Clarksville. He was born June 4, 1939, in Moyers, Okla. Mr. Laymon was truck driver and a veteran of the Army. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas R. and Nancy E. (Williams) Laymon; two brothers, Jerry and Waymon Laymon.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005, at Old Bokoshe Cemetery in Bokoshe under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau. Officiating will be the Rev. Troy Conrad.
He is survived by a sister, Roberta Pearson of Lavaca; and two brothers, Thomas and Larry Laymon, both of Bokoshe; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and loved ones; many beloved friends.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Pansy Seay
VIAN — Pansy Marie Seay, 83, of Vian died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004, in Vian. She was born Sept. 19, 1921, in Miller Ridge Community in Oklahoma. She was a homemaker, of the Assembly of God faith and the widow of John Seay.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. today at Agent Funeral Home Chapel in Gore with burial at Round Mountain Cemetery east of Gore.
She is survived by a sister, Bertha Worley of Gore.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Walker, Randy Mannon, Ricky and Jess Phillips, Jimmy and Aaron Worley.
The body may be viewed 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Dorothy Hefley
GORE — Dorothy Fields Hefley, 71, of Gore died Friday, Jan. 28, 2005, in her home. She was of Native American descent. She was a 1951 graduate of Gore High School and a former substitute teacher and spent 28 years as secretary of the United Methodist Ranch at Lake Tenkiller. In 2000 the Boys Ranch built several cottages on the site and named them in her honor. She was a member of the Gore Methodist Church, where she was a longtime Sunday school teacher in the adult and children departments and was a member of the choir. She was secretary-treasurer of Gore City Cemetery.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at Gore United Methodist Church with burial at Gore City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Gore.
She is survived by her husband, F.M.; two daughters, Donna Owen of Tulsa and Debbie Winburn of Gore; a sister, Mary Osborn of Granbury, Texas; and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Dan and Jason Carter, Thomas Winburn and Trey, Britt and Joshua Brown.
The body may be viewed from 1 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Ted Conrad
TALIHINA — Ted G. Conrad, 92, of Talihina, formerly of Spiro, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005, in Talhina. He was an Army veteran of World War II having served in the Philippines, and was the widower of Syble Conrad.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Spiro with burial at Spiro City Cemetery.
He is survived by a daughter, Jerry Colbert of Howe; four sons, Arlis Conrad of Marlow, Okla., James Conrad of Leon, Kan., David Conrad of Odessa, Texas, and Ted Conrad Jr. of Wasco, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home.

Clarance D. King
Clarance D. King, 74, of Pocola passed away Friday, Feb. 25, 2005, in a local hospital. He was the owner of Clarance King Trailer Sales, a licensed electrician with International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, licensed funeral director and embalmer in the state of Arkansas, graduate of Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science and a private pilot. He was a member of Oak Cliff Baptist Church in Fort Smith, Sebastian Lodge No. 706 F&AM, Western Arkansas Consistory and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Funeral service will be noon Monday, Feb. 28, 2005, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Bertha King; a sister, Patricia Ann King; and a brother, D.L. “Don” King
He is survived by three daughters, Shirley Douglas and husband Bob of Van Buren, Debbie Boyd of Fort Smith, and Teresa Ludlow and husband Brian of Hackett; six brothers, Johnny King and Carol of Portales, N.M., Elvoy King and Glenda of Apolla Beach, Fla., Ronnie King and Naoma of Cedarville, Terry King and Cathy of Port Lavaca, Texas, R.A. King and Kathy of Lavaca, and Gary King and Delana of Denton, Texas; sister-in-law, Linda King of Lavaca; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and Maria Silguero and her children, Jose Garcia, Erika Garcia and Leslie Silguero.
Visitation will be Sunday afternoon Feb. 27, 2005, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home.

Jesse Rogers
STIGLER — Jesse “Jack” Rogers, 72, of Stigler died Friday, Feb. 25, 2005, in Stigler. He was owner and welder of Rogers Welding Shop in Stigler, a lifetime member and past president of Stigler Roundup Club, a member of the Stigler Volunteer Fire Department for more than 30 years and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4446 and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows of Stigler. He was the widower of Ruby Rogers.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Stigler with burial at Fields Cemetery in Porum.
He is survived by two daughters, Ellen Apple of Stigler and Sharon Wilkett of Stigler; a sister, Mildred Maxwell of Whitefield; and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Sam Stubblefield, Allen Quick, Phillip Bush, Harold Powell, Jerry Terrell and Don Honeycutt.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home.

Ruth Cable
OKLAHOMA CITY — Ruth Vera Cable, 93, of Oklahoma City died Friday, Feb. 25, 2005, in her home. She was born Jan. 20, 1912, in Waxahachie, Texas. She came to Oklahoma from Texas in 1915 and had lived in Oklahoma City since 1996. She was a homemaker, a Methodist and the widow of Walter Cable.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Becker Funeral Home Chapel in Fletcher, Okla., with burial at Fletcher Cemetery under the direction of Becker Funeral Home of Fletcher.
She is survived by a daughter, Joyce Gaines of Oklahoma City; a sister, Lucille Thompson of Corpus Christi, Texas; a brother, Waldo Flynn of Branch; nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
