Aulta Tucker
WISTER — Aulta Mae Tucker, 89, of Wister died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2005, in Poteau. She was born March 26, 1915, in Witcherville. She was a homemaker, a member of Bethel Baptist Church, a charter member of Southside Baptist Church and the widow of Edgar Tucker.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Bethel Baptist Church in Wister with burial at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
She is survived by a daughter, Pat Ford of Wister; seven grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Lonnie Coffey, Bill Gibson, Bud Morgan, Steve Walden, Podie Meeks and Gary Wooten.

Edwina Gwendolyn Miller
Edwina Gwendolyn Miller, 64, of Muldrow passed away Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2005, in Fort Smith. She was born Dec. 23, 1940, in Webbers Falls, Okla., to Harvey and Ada Dimples (Chapman) Goss. On Feb. 2, 1963, she married Lester Lynn Miller in Webbers Falls. Edwina taught school for 23 years and retired from the Gans School System.
Edwina is survived by her husband, Lester Lynn Miller, Ph.D. of the home; her parents, Harvey and Ada Goss of Muskogee, Okla.; two sons, Mark and Michelle Miller of Heavener and Heath and Amy Miller of Richardson, Texas; a daughter, Laura Lynn and J.C. Callison of Lakeside, Calif.; two sisters, Francis and Mike Johnson of Fort Gibson, Okla., and Joan Roye of Broken Arrow, Okla.; two brothers, Tim and Norman Goss of Muskogee, Okla. and Greg Goss; seven grandchildren; and many other loved ones and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Cauthen, Terry Riggs, Donnie Alls, Jonathan Alls, Mike Johnson and James Williams.
Services will be 10 a.m. today at New Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Heavener, with the Rev. Steve Clark officiating the services under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau. Interment will follow at Heavener Memorial Cemetery in Heavener.

Bill Walker
POTEAU — Bill Walker, 88, of Poteau died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2005, in Heavener. He was born Oct. 9, 1916, in Prague, Okla. He was a carpenter.
No services are scheduled at this time. Arrangements under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
He is survived by two daughters, Alisa Walker and Freda Armstrong; seven sons, Mike, Ira, Joe, Tom, Bruce, Ralph and Carl Walker; two sisters, Della Collins and Crystoal Toater; four brothers, Carl, Odis, Buster and Paul Walker; and 24 grandchildren.

Mrs. Oma Faye Tatham
Mrs. Oma Faye Tatham, 80, of Sallisaw passed away Sunday, Feb. 20, 2005, in Sallisaw. She was born June 7, 1924, in Harrison community in Oklahoma, the daughter of John William Timmerman and Sally Elizabeth McKinney Timmerman. She was married to Farris Daniel Tatham on June 18, 1946, in Sallisaw. Sister Oma was a homemaker, a longtime member of Watts Holiness Church where she was the children’s Sunday school teacher for 40 years, a singer for 70 years and guitar accompanist before the church had instruments. She attended school at Harrison and Watts.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 24, 2005, at Immanuel Baptist Church in Sallisaw. Burial will follow at Buffington Cemetery west of Sallisaw under the direction of Agent Funeral Home.
She leaves to mourn her passing her husband of 58 years, Farris of the home; three daughters, Sue Tatham of the home, Donna Jamison and husband Jack of Sallisaw, and Beverly Harris and husband Michael of Broken Arrow, Okla.; a son, Keith Tatham and wife Tammy of Sallisaw; two sisters, her twin, Noma Stites, and Madie Stephens, both of Sallisaw; two sisters-in-law, Marie Timmerman of Sallisaw and Dollie Timmerman of Porterville, Calif.; seven grandchildren, Ladonna Baggs and husband Darren, Kendall Thomason and wife Nicki, Delanna Taylor and husband Herb, Michae Haas and husband Danny, Jeffrey Harris, Valarie Tatham and Dustin Tatham; four stepgrandchildren, Dana, Joey, B.J. and Tyler Cash; one great-grandson, Dyelan Baggs; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Melvin, William, Roger and Charles Stites, Curtis and Steve Stephens, Jimmy Timmerman and Jim Stewart.
Honorary pallbearers will be Watts Holiness Church family.
The Tatham family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Watts Holiness Church, Rt. 2, Box 92, Sallisaw, OK 74955; or Buffington Cemetery, Rt. 2, Box 81, Sallisaw, OK 74955.

Ila Duncan
OKLAHOMA CITY — Ila Marie Duncan, 91, of Oklahoma City died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2005, in her home. She was a member of the Waldron First Baptist Church and a retired teacher in Waldron Public Schools.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Waldron with burial at Duncan Cemetery in Waldron.
She is survived by a son, Jim Duncan of Oklahoma City; one grandchild; two great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
The body may be viewed 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to noon Friday at the funeral home.

Johnny Cowan
POTEAU — Johnny Lee “Cowboy” Cowan, 61, of Poteau died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005, in Heavener. He was born Dec. 15, 1943, in Howe. He was an auto salesman.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau with burial at Howe Cemetery in Howe under the direction of Evans and Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
He is survived by his companion, Patsy Terry; his father, Basil Cowan of the home; a daughter, Jana; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jason Underwood, Hank and David Abbott, Tommy Kemp, Jamie Terry, Donny Yandell and Scott Cowan.

Robert Connell
SALLISAW — Robert E. Connell, 68, of Sallisaw died Monday, Feb. 28, 2005, in Fort Smith. He was the owner and operator of Good Golly’s in Sallisaw.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Vian Christ the King Church. Arrangements under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda; three daughters, Cathy Connell of Salt Lake City, Charlene Polk of Alma, and Debbie Glenn of Mountain Grove, Mo.; three sons, Robert Connell of Rock Springs, Wyo., Randy Connell of Greeley, Colo., and Craig Connell of Central City, Colo.; a sister, Dorothy Powers of Greeley; two brothers, Darrell Connell of Greeley and William Connell of Washington; and 10 grandchildren.

Hunter Irvin
POTEAU — Hunter Paul Warren-Irvin, infant son of Mikel Irvin and Joni Warren of Poteau, died Tuesday, March 1, 2005, in Fort Smith.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Grace Manor Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Poteau with burial at Blackfork Cemetery.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his paternal grandparents, Gerald and Judy Irvin of Heavener; and maternal grandparents, Robert and Carolyn Warren of Poteau.
Pallbearers will be Bryan and Robbie Warren.

Sharon Green
ARKOMA — Sharon Kay “Kakey” Green, 54, of Arkoma, formerly of Hartford, died Monday, Feb. 28, 2005, in Arkoma. She was a health-care provider and of the Pentecostal faith.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Spiro with burial at New Hope Cemetery in Spiro.
She is survived by two sons, Keith and Lee Martin, both of Fort Smith; two sisters, Teresa Mitchell of Fort Smith and Angela Wilson of Tulsa; and a brother, Harley Kersey of Marion.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home.

Billy Broughton
SPIRO — Billy Broughton, 30, of Spiro died Tuesday, March 1, 2005, in Spiro.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Friday at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Spiro with burial at Greenhill Cemetery in Cameron.
He is survived by his mother, Norma Wilkinson of Spiro, and his father, Jesse Broughton of Woodlake, Calif.; a sister, Vesta Alvarado of Spiro; two brothers, Bobby and James Broughton, both of Woodlake.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today.

Willie Dowell
POTEAU — Willie Dowell, 81, of Poteau died Tuesday, March 1, 2005, in Poteau. He was born Aug. 23, 1923, in Hodgen. He was a construction worker, a member of First Baptist Church in Poteau, a veteran of World War II serving in the Army 4th Infantry Division, a member of the DAV, and retired from the Laborer’s Union. He was the widower of Marcellious Dowell.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Poteau with burial and 1 p.m. committal service at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
He is survived by a sister, Vida Hubbard of Poteau; and two stepgrandchildren.

William Van Dusen
STIGLER — William A. “Sonny” Van Dusen, 74, Stigler died Tuesday, March 1, 2005.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at King & Sherwood Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Stigler with burial at Enterprise Cemetery in Enterprise.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; five daughters, Barbara Combs, Sheila, Tina Schimdt, Bo Bray and Barbara Dicke; five sons, Albert, David, Jesse, Michael and Danny Van Dusen; a sister, Della Williams of West Palm Beach, Fla.; 50 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Steve Woodson, Paul Williams, Jonathan and Jesse Van Dusen and Greg Evans.
The body may be viewed 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.

Wynona Wright
SALLISAW — Wynona Wright, 78, of Sallisaw died Wednesday, March 2, 2005, in Sallisaw. She was born Oct. 2, 1926, in Gans. She was a homemaker, an Avon representative and of the Holiness faith.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Gans Assembly of God with burial at Gans Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
She is survived by her husband, Dave; a daughter, Corma Hays of Sallisaw; a son, David Wright of Sallisaw; four sisters, Mayme and Wanda Rogers and Shelba McClure, all of Sallisaw, and Diane Robertson of Marble City; five brothers, Buddy Rogers of Marble City, Seigal Rogers of Fort Smith, Bill Rogers of Muldrow, and Jim and Stimson Rogers, both of Sallisaw; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Buddy, Siegal, Jim, Stimson and Bill Rogers, Dennis McClure and Don Robertson.
The body may be viewed 1 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Nora Lacey
FRESNO, Calif. — Nora Leona Limore Lacey, 57, of Fresno, formerly of Muldrow, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2005, in Fresno. She was born Feb. 17, 1948, in Tulsa. She was a homemaker and a Pentecostal.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Seabolt Cemetery north of Muldrow under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
She is survived by her husband, Ronnie; a daughter, Misti of California; two brothers, Jack and Roger Limore, both of Nicut; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her nephews.
