Gary Lynn Croy was born June 9, 1945 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Clayton L. and Wanda (Burkhalter) Croy. He attended Comanche High School and graduated from Putnam City High School. He served in the US Air Force Reserve for six years. He was owner/operator of Croy Electronics in Oklahoma City, OK. Gary married
Sharon Kaye Gibson on February 14, 1987 at Oklahoma City, OK.
He was preceded in death
by his parents; one step-daughter: Katherine Karlene Glover; one nephew: John Croy.

MARGARET (BOWMAN) FARR
Margaret (Bowman) Farr of Tuttle, OK died Monday, August 7, 2006 in Oklahoma City, OK. Margaret was born on the Jim Tuttle Ranch north of Tuttle to Barney Leonidas and Lula Malcom Bowman on August 25, 1912. She started school in the fall of 1918 in a one room school building, Silver City, located two miles north of Tuttle. She went there four years until it was consolidated into Tuttle Schools. She then rode a bus to school.
She graduated from Tuttle High School in 1930 and from Draughn Business School, Oklahoma City, in 1936. She returned to Tuttle and worked for Sowers Grocery and also served as Tuttle City Clerk.
She married
Walter Reed in 1942 and lived in Memphis where her daughter, Lynda, was born. She returned to Tuttle in 1947 and operated Bowman Variety Store with her parents. She married
James M. Farr on July 29, 1954 in Tuttle and worked with him in his business Farr Wholesale. She and James moved to Okmulgee in 1970 where they resided for many years. They were both active in the Butler United Methodist Church. Margaret was also an active Volunteer at Okmulgee Memorial Hospital. James and Margaret moved back to Tuttle in 1998. James passed away
in 2000.
She is preceded in death
by her husband, parents, two brothers: Clyde M. Bowman and James Frank Bowman; two sisters: Anna Bell Bowman and Jennie Bowman Bailey.
Margaret is survived by her daughter, Lynda and husband, William Kruse, granddaughter, Jennifer and her husband, Phillip Hollecker and grandson, Brian Kruse, and two great granddaughters, Danielle and Bethany Hollecker. She is also survived by five loving nieces, one nephew, and several cousins.
The family would like to thank Crossroads Hospice for the care they gave Margaret.

GLADYS IRENE LANGFORD
Gladys Irene Langford, 89, of Oklahoma City, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Wednesday August 9, 2006 at her son’s home in Newcastle.
Gladys was born October 13, 1916 in Konawa, Okla. She was the 10th child of 11 children born to W. M. Morrison and Mary Alice James Morrison.
Gladys grew up a farm girl near Mounds, Okla. and graduated high school there in 1935. She later met and married
Isham B. Manis. To this union, two sons were born, Ben and Steve. She made her home in the Lawton area for more than 40 years and had worked as a secretary for the North Side Baptist Church for many years.
Gladys was a diligent homemaker a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
In 1966 she married
Alton Langford and in 1995 they moved to the Oklahoma City area to be close to her sons. While living in Oklahoma City she was a faithful member of the Brookwood Baptist Church.
Throughout her life she enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with her family. In her later years she enjoyed oil painting.
She was preceded in death
by:
Her husband, Alton Langford; her parents, W. M. and Mary Alice Morrison; 10 brothers and sisters; and two infant grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, Ben Manis and wife Linda of Newcastle, Okla. and Steve Manis and wife Joyce of Tuttle, Okla.; five grandchildren, Darin and Susan Manis, Dustin and Mischelle Manis, Tanya and James Cook, Jeremie Manis and Krystal Manis; eight great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews and other loving relatives and friends.
Funeral Services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2006 at the Western Hills Baptist Church in Oklahoma City with Rev. Jimmy Hodges officiating. Burial

for Robert “Bob” Lee Long, 70, of Tuttle, Oklahoma were held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 16, 2006 at the First United Methodist Church of Tuttle.
Robert (Bob) Lee Long was born March 4, 1936 in Tuttle, Oklahoma the son of George W. and Virginia Mae (Evans) Long and died August 13, 2006 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Bob graduated from Tuttle High School. He and Billie June Hardesty were married
August 14, 1955 in Tuttle, Oklahoma. Bob was a farmer and cattleman. He was a member of the FFA, First United Methodist Church, and the Maine Anjou Association.
Bob was preceded in death
by: Parents; Stepfather: Bud Grimes; two Brothers: Richard Long and Max Long.

ERIC SCOTT HUFFINE WORD
Funeral service for Eric Scott Huffine Word, 37, of Oklahoma City was held at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 11, 2006 in the First Baptist Church of Tuttle.
Eric Scott Huffine Word was born August 29, 1968 in Stockton, Calif. He died Saturday August 5, 2006 in Oklahoma City. He was the son of Richard and Mary Carolyn Huffine Word. He had lived in Woodward, Tuttle, Norman and Oklahoma City for many years.
Eric worked for the Oklahoma State Health Department as Supervisor in Shipping and Receiving. He adored his grandparents and loved his cat “Meek.”
His grandparents Lucille Huffine, Idys Frank Turner, Anna Turner and Marshall Word preceded him in death.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Carolyn Huffine Word Roller of Harlingen, Texas; his father, Richard Word of Oklahoma City; one brother, Joshua Word and his wife Veronica of San Diego, Calif.; one sister, Kirsten Word of Harlingen, Texas; one niece, Emily Word of San Diego, Calif.; grandparents, H.V. RUBY LEE BURKHART

for Ruby Lee Burkhart, 85 of Minco were held Thursday, August 3, 2006, 10:30 am at the Cache Cemetery
in Cache, Oklahoma with Rev. Johnny Wray officiating under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home in Minco.
Ruby Lee Burkhart was born December 25, 1920 at Alvord, Texas to William and Mary Emma (Ince) Greene and died Monday, July 31, 2006 at Chickasha. She had lived in Lawton most of her life and moved to Minco in 2002. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death
by her parents: William and Emma Greene; one son: David Burkhart; one daughter: Linda Caldwell; two sisters and one brother.
She is survived by: one son and daughter-in-law: Ed and Lissa Burkhart of Minco; four daughters and one son-in-law: Beverly and Carlos Arriaga of Duncan; LaNelle Arce of Lawton; Pat Holcomb of Oklahoma City; Rosemary Rosa of Indio, California; seventeen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren.
LOYD DAVID “DAVE” MCMILLIN

for Loyd David “Dave” McMillin age 73 of Tuttle, Oklahoma were held 10:00 a.m. Saturday July 29, 2006 at the Tuttle Methodist Church with Reverend Todd Littleton officiating.
Loyd David “Dave” McMillin was born February 19, 1933 at Hobart, Oklahoma. He was the son of I.W. and Beatrice (Hatridge) McMillin. He died Wednesday, July 26, 2006 in Oklahoma City after a lengthy illness.
He moved with his family to the Bryan and Love Counties near Acthley and Marrietta area before moving to Gainesville, Texas, where he lived and attended school until being drafted into the U.S. Army in 1953 during the Korean War. He served with the XIX Corp artillery and the 2003rd U.S. Army Garrison Reserve Unit before retiring after 38 years of Military service at the rank of Command Sergeant Major.
He owned and operated a service station in Oklahoma City while attending Oklahoma City University. He worked as a Metal Lather in Commercial Construction before starting his own business, Dave’s Trenching and Construction Company until he retired because of health problems.
He and Lula (Lou) Adams were married
March 28, 1957 in Prague, Oklahoma. They lived in Oklahoma City until moving to Tuttle in 1972 where he lived until his death.
He and Lou enjoyed traveling in the RV being with family and friends. He enjoyed sports and being outdoors. He worked with S.W. Optimist in Oklahoma City, Little League Sports and the Boy Scouts of America. He had received the Order of the Arrow and was Scout Master for several years.
He is a member of the Tuttle Methodist Church, the Masonic Lodge and was a 32nd degree Mason.
He was preceded in death
by his parents; one son David Lynn McMillin; three brothers: G.A., Charles and Jimmy D. McMillin.
He is survived by his wife Lou of the home in Tuttle; one son: Scott McMillin of Tuttle; two grandsons: Christopher McMillin of Bjuras, Sweden, Tyler McMillin of Tuttle; one granddaughter: Kaycee McMillin of Tuttle; one sister: Betty and husband L.N. “Buster” Hunter of Dennison, Texas; two sisters-in-law: Georgia “Boots” McMillin of Eufaula, Oklahoma, Zoe McMillin of Cordell, Oklahoma; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Vernon and JoAnn Adams of Elmore City, Oklahoma; two sisters-in-law: Maggie Kay of Elmore City, Oklahoma, Mamie Childress of Maysville, Oklahoma; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
He will be missed by all who know him.

YVDONN FISHER
Yvdonn Fisher, 68, of Newcastle passed away
Saturday July 29 at his home in Newcastle. He was born on March 19, 1938 in Dewitt, Ark. He was the fifth child of 10 children born to Richard Ralph Fisher and Ruby Irene Williams Fisher.
Yvdonn grew up in Dewitt, Ark. where he learned how to work hard as a young boy, working in the cotton fields. He later met and married
a young lady from Oklahoma City by the name of Carolyn Jacob.
They were married
on August 16, 1957 in Oklahoma City. After they were married
they lived in Arkansas for one and one-half years and then they returned to the Oklahoma City area.
Yvdonn worked nearly 48 years as a residential carpenter and was well known for his honesty, hard working and building talents. In 1975 his family moved to the Newcastle, where he raised his family and was a faithful member of the Church Of The Firstborn.
Throughout his life he has always been an Arkansas Razorback football and basketball fan. Yvdonn loved being outdoors, whether it was working in his yard or building something for himself or somebody. He enjoyed listening to gospel music; he had a great sense of humor and loved to tease. He will be remembered as a loving husband, a wonderful father and grandfather, a special brother and uncle, and a good friend to all who knew him.
He was preceded in death
by his parents, Richard and Ruby Fisher; and three sisters, Margaret Vaughn, Ivalo Butler and Fredella Thompson.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn of the home; one son, Ricky Fisher and wife Tammy of Tahoka, Texas; two daughters, Tonett Fisher of the home and Angie Carmichael and husband Galen of Newcastle; five brothers, Kenneth Fisher and wife Arcenia of Dewitt, Ark., Charlie Fisher of Lexington, Lester Fisher and wife Donna of Newcastle, Walter Fisher and wife Sue of Sherwood, Ark., and Eddie Fisher of Moore; one sister, Faye Coit and husband Edward of Dewitt, Ark.; two brothers-in-law, Doyle Butler of Blanchard and Tony Vaughn of Dewitt, Ark.; four grandchildren, Morgan, Braiden, Cort and Kerstyn; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Funeral Services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2006 at the Newcastle Church Of The Firstborn. Officiating was Minister Jeff Jones and Elder Kent Willoughby. Pallbearers were Phillip Vandeveer Sr., Phillip Vandeveer Jr., Cory Vandeveer, Bob Arnold, Terry Arnold and Perry Henderson. Honorary bearer was Jerry Pilon. Interment
was be at the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements by Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Newcastle.
KATHLEEN RUTH FARRIS

Kathleen Ruth Farris was born August 21, 1938 at Muskogee, Oklahoma to Frank and Jewell (Smith) Orr and died Sunday, July 30, 2006 at El Reno. She married
Howard Wayne Farris on August 2, 1957 at Oklahoma City and came to the Minco community in 1968 from Oklahoma City. She was a member and pianist of the Canaan Baptist Church of Minco.
She was preceded in death
by her parents: Frank and Jewell Orr; Husband: Howard W. Farris 7-25-2002.
She is survived by one son: Monte Wayne Farris of Tuttle; one daughter: Gina Gail Bassham of Tuttle; one sister: Cindy Sides of El Reno; four grandchildren; one great grandchild.

PEGGY MARILYN PYLE
Peggy Marilyn Pyle joined her heavenly family on July 25, 2006 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, following a short battle with cancer.
Peggy was born in Enid, Okla. on May 8, 1948 to Ivis (Shields) McGuar and Aurthur A. McGuar. She was raised on a farm and went to school in Marshall, Okla. She attended Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee for two years and graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond. She continued her education with several hours of graduate courses at UCO.
Peggy loved children and spent 47 years teaching in various private and public venues. She most loved the 12 years she spent at her early childhood facility in Newcastle, Wee the People Preschool. During her teaching life she taught many, many children and no fewer parents and grandparents.
Peggy is preceded in death
by her daughter, Crystal Marie and both parents. She is survived by her husband Rex and her son Jamie Alan of the home. Her brother Perry McGuar of San Antonio, Texas. and a multitude of family and friends.
Services will be held Monday, July 31 at 2 p.m. at Southpark Southern Baptist Church located at S.W. 119th and May Ave. She may be viewed at Baggerly Funeral Home, S.W. 51st and Western, Saturday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Oklahoma County. She will be cremated following and laid to rest in Crescent Cemetery, Crescent, Okla.
ULYSSES ALBERT “SLICK” CHALLIS
Ulysses Albert “Slick” Challis was born January 18, 1927 in Bridgeport, Oklahoma to Ulysses A. and Mae (Clark) Challis. He passed away
July 11, 2006 in Oklahoma City, OK. Slick attended school in Bridgeport and served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was united in marriage September 18, 1947 to Melva (Murphy) Challis. He lived in the Tuttle area for 31 years and then moved to Oklahoma City after Melva passed away
in June 2004. Slick worked as a carpenter all of his life and retired from the carpenters union in 1988. He loved to fish, coon hunt and play cards and dominoes. He loved his family and friends and never met a stranger.
Survivors include: Six children, Pat Shatwell and husband Donald of Tuttle, OK; Troy Challis and wife Cherry of Oklahoma City, OK; Neal Challis and wife Patti of Blanchard, OK; Wayne Challis and wife Rita of Tuttle, OK; Terry Challis and wife Lorane of Bethany, OK; Cheryl Clawson and husband Johnny of Oklahoma City, OK; 15 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; three brothers: Jilly Challis of Bethany, OK, Raymond Challis of Clinton, OK and Roy Challis of Wichita Falls, Texas; five sisters: Helen Townsend of Henrietta, Texas; Florence McGraw of Edmond, OK; Mary Francis West and Ella Mae Allen both of Midwest City, OK and Lenora Anderson of Moore, OK.
Slick was preceded in death
by his parents, wife, granddaughter and three siblings. Services were held graveside on July 17, 2006 at 10:30 AM at Hinton, OK, under the direction of Hinton-Turner Funeral Home.
