for Thelma M. Brownen Hooker, 88, of Chickasha, Oklahoma were held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 30, 2006 in the Sowers Memorial Chapel, Tuttle.
Thelma M. Brownen Hooker was born January 2, 1918 in Tuttle, Oklahoma the daughter of George and Maggie (Conley) Wampler and died September 27, 2006 in Chickasha.
Mrs. Hooker lived in Grady County all of her life. She was a hairstylist and beautician. Mrs. Hooker owned and operated Thelma’s Beauty Shop in Chickasha from 1947-2004. She was a member of the Alex United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death
by: First husband: Clifford Brownen in 1967; second husband: Gus Hooker; two brothers: George Wampler and Hart Wampler. Survivors include: one son: Bob Brownen of Chickasha; four grandchildren: Marty Brownen, Sheryll Rodgers Brownen, Chuck Brownen, and Shelly Knox; five great grandchildren: Chad Brownen, Kyle Brownen, Krayton Rodgers, Katie Knox, and Alex Knox; one great great grandchild: Braeli Brownen; four sisters: Helen Joslin, Dorothy Baker, Pauline Martin, and Margueritte Novotny; one brother: Lon Wampler.
Interment
was in the Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

for Betty L. Chitwood, 71, of Oklahoma City were held Monday, September 25, 2006, 2 pm at the Evergreen Cemetery
in Minco with Rev. David Mercer of the Minco United Methodist Church officiating. Services under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home in Minco.
Betty L. Chitwood was born April 15, 1935 at Frisco, Oklahoma to Lester Ray and Venita (Voyles) Felkins and died Friday, September 22, 2006 at her home in Oklahoma City. She was raised in Stonewall, Oklahoma, had lived in the Oklahoma City area since 1970. She married
James W. Chitwood on July 17, 1970 at Gainsville, Texas and worked as a supply clerk for Western Electric until her retirement.
She was preceded in death
by her parents: Lester and Venita Falkins.
She is survived by her husband James of the home in Oklahoma City; twin brothers and sister-in-law: Perry and Terry Felkins of Morris, Oklahoma, Jerry and Pat Felkins of Oxnard, California.
JAMES ROBERT GOODMAN, SR.
Viewing and visitation for James Robert Goodman, Sr., 77, of Eufaula, former Minco resident was on Monday, September 25, 2006 from 10 am to 12 noon at the Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home in Minco, cremation followed with no services.
James Robert Goodman, Sr. was born July 10, 1929 at Minco to Leonard and Joyce (Jester) Goodman and died Friday, September 22, 2006 at Oklahoma City. He was raised in the Minco and Stillwater area and served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and resided mostly in Eufaula in his later years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and a member of the VFW Eufaula Post, and the Moose Lodge in Stillwater. He worked as a produce manager in retail foods till his retirement and after retirement he worked at the Pumpkin Lot in Edmond.
Mr. Goodman was preceded in death
by his parents: Leonard and Joyce Goodman; one brother: Robert “Punk” Halverson; one sister: Anna Mae White.
He is survived by: one son and daughter-in-law: James Robert, Jr. and Kandas Goodman of Hot Springs, Arkansas; two daughters and son-in-law: Brenda and Steve Lowe of Kennewick, Washington, Geraldean Fuller Goodman of Guthrie; two brothers and sister-in-law: Tom and Donna Meyers of Tuttle, Danny and Betty Meyers of Newcastle; three sisters and brothers-in-law: Dora Elizabeth “Dot” Stone of Ardmore, Judy and Gene Hunt of Eufaula, Freddie Jo and Gene Lane of Caldwell, Idaho; five grandchildren: Summer Lynn Goodman, Colby Oneal Wade, Christopher Duane Mitchell, Rachel Anne Lowe and Ryan Lowe.
GLEN DEAN HANNING
Private family memorial services were held for Dolores, Colo. resident, Glen Dean Hanning.
Glen was born the son of Dean and Ival (McLaughlin) Hanning on June 11, 1937 in Webb City, Okla. He passed away
at his home in Dolores on Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at the age of 69.
Glen served nine years in the Army during the Korean War. During that time he was stationed in Germany and Amsterdam. He was a past member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Elks.
For many years Glen owned and operated Glen’s Video in Tuttle.
He moved to the Dolores, Colo. area 3 1/2 years ago and became active in the Four Corners Rifle and Pistol Club. He loved to hunt and fish and was an avid shooter. Glen also worked with his son-in-law at Lonnie’s Glass in Cortez.
Surviving Glen are his daughter, Melissa Elliott and husband, Heath of Dolores; and two sons, Glen Hanning and wife, Stephanie of Mustang, Okla. and Shawn Hanning and wife, Marsha of Tuttle, Okla. Also surviving Glen are seven grandchildren, Ashley Johnson, Jesse Johnson, Jared Woodrow, Miranda Elliott, Alyssa Hanning, Arynn Hanning, and Nathan Hanning; and two sisters, Linda Lou Hanning of Tulsa, Okla. and Patty Plummer of Ponca City, Okla.

HILBERT “BERT” SPRAGUE

for Hilbert “Bert” Sprague, age 82 of Newcastle, Oklahoma were held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, September 20, 2006 in Sowers Memorial Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home in Tuttle.
Hilbert (Bert) Sprague was born February 6, 1924 in Douglass, Kansas. He died Saturday September 16, 2006 in Tuttle, Oklahoma. He was the son of Orville and Lillie (Crumpton) Sprague.
He married
Nellie Siegfried February 18, 1957 in Albany, Oregon. Mr. Sprague served in the U.S. Marines in World War II. He had worked as a furnace operator for a rare metals company in Albany, Oregon. He came back to Oklahoma in 1976 and had lived in Newcastle since 1999.
His parents and two brothers Archie and Herman Sprague preceded him in death.
Survivors include: His wife Nellie Sprague of the home in Newcastle; stepson: Aaron Mitchum of Tuttle; two stepdaughters: Karren Craw of Port Angeles, Washington, Charlotte Dahl of Colville, Washington; one sister: Tessie Taylor of Portland, Oregon; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; numerous nephews and nieces.
Interment
was in the Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, Oklahoma under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home of Tuttle.
STEVEN LEON GRIMES

for Steven Leon Grimes, age 55 of Tuttle, Oklahoma were held 10:00 am Tuesday September 5, 2006 in the Sowers Memorial Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home in Tuttle. Graveside services
were held at 3:00 pm Tuesday at Resthaven Cemetery, Sperry, Oklahoma.
Steven Leon Grimes was born September 4, 1950 in Kansas City, Missouri. He died Friday, September 1, 2006 in Oklahoma City.
Mr. Grimes had lived in Arlington, Texas for 25 years and he had a second home in Mena, Arkansas. He moved back to Oklahoma 2-1/2 years ago. He married
Sharon Bennett in 1969, they had two children from their marriage. He later married
Lisa Dunlap from this marriage they had one child. Mr. Grimes was an avid Harley Davidson rider and a loving PaPa to his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death
by his parents: Eugene Leon Grimes and Wanda Burch (Guthrie) Grimes.
Survivors include: two daughters: Connie Adams and her husband Doug of Blanchard, Jennifer Grimes and Cary Aucoin of Russellville, Ark.; one son: Kyle Grimes of Tuttle; grandchildren: Caden, Jaycie, Allie, Ella, Ronnie and Travis.
Interment
was in Resthaven Cemetery, Sperry, Oklahoma under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home of Tuttle.
TAYLOR RAEANN HANEY
Taylor RaeAnn Haney was born August 18, 2006 in Oklahoma City to Clara Annie (Brown) and Terry Don Haney.
She passed away
August 30, 2006 at 12 days old.
Survivors include her parents, Annie and Terry Haney of Tuttle; grandparents, Bob and Carol Brown of Chickasha, Bill and Becky Miller of Chickasha, Roger and Pam Haney of Amber; great grandparents, J.C. and Eufaula Turner of Amber, Delores and PJ Ball of Aransas Pass, Texas, Lillian Brown of Petersburg, Tennessee, Don and Mary Ferguson of Kingston, Oklahoma, Paul and Pauline Dahlhofer of Lexington, Ohio; Aunts and Uncles, Laura and James Romo of Tuttle, Kelli and Larry Gunter of Ardmore, Jason and Sarah Miller of Chickasha, Ashley Haney of Amber, Josh Gunter of Chickasha.

were held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 1, 2006 at the Fairview Cemetery
in Tuttle. Reverend Paul Cunningham officiated with arrangements made by Eisenhour Funeral Home, Blanchard.
RALPH E. MCDANIEL
Funeral services
for Ralph E. McDaniel, 91, of Minco, Oklahoma were held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, September 1, 2006 at the First Baptist Church of Minco.
Ralph E. McDaniel was born October 6, 1914 in Chattanooga, Oklahoma the son of Troy Crosby and Gladys Sarah (Forester) McDaniel and died August 30, 2006 in Chickasha.
Ralph was a farmer and later worked for John Deere Implement. He preached for many years for Assembly of God Churches including Minco, Chickasha, Sharon Evangel near Amber and many other churches in Oklahoma and Kansas. He and Hazel Warren were married
September 25, 1935 in Chickasha.
Ralph was preceded in death
by: Parents; two sons: Wayne Eugene McDaniel, Kenneth McDaniel; one daughter: Margaret Ann McDaniel; one brother: Clarence McDaniel.
Survivors include: Wife: Hazel McDaniel of the home; one son: Donald Ralph McDaniel and wife Janet of Minco; one daughter-in-law: Donna McDaniel of Stillwater; two brothers: Myrle McDaniel of Buda, Texas, Richard McDaniel of Bristow; four grandchildren: Kevin McDaniel and wife Jimmie Dawn, Kendall McDaniel and wife Roni, Troy McDaniel and wife Tammy, Benjamin McDaniel and wife Stacy; eleven great grandchildren; host of nieces and nephews and many, many friends.
Interment
was in the Evergreen Cemetery, Minco, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
RUSSELLA KAY FRANKLIN

for Russella Kay Franklin, 56, of Tuttle, Oklahoma were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, August 28, 2006 at the Tuttle First Baptist Church.
Russella Kay Franklin was born April 6, 1950 in Anadarko, Oklahoma the daughter of Jim and Mary Lee (Adams) Arganbright and died August 24, 2006 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Kay graduated from Chickasha High School in 1968. She lived in Tuttle since 1970 and worked at Star Pharmacy of Tuttle from 1970-2006. Kay was a licensed pharmacy tech and clerk.
She and Joe Franklin were married
January 27, 1969 in Duncan, Oklahoma.
Kay was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tuttle.
She was preceded in death
by: Her mother: Mary Lee Arganbright.
Survivors include: Husband: Joe Franklin of the home; three sons: Ricky Franklin and wife Tami of Tuttle, Jeff Franklin and wife Shelley of Oklahoma City, Michael Franklin of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Father and beloved stepmother: Jim and Ann Arganbright of Tuttle; two sisters: Kristie Scears of Midwest City and Karol Andrew of Tulsa; one brother: Dr. Kim Arganbright of Weatherford; four grandchildren: Kaylee Franklin, Gavin Franklin, Chloe Franklin and Caleb Franklin.
Interment
was in the Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

JESSIE TERENCE MOREHEAD
Jessie Terence Morehead, a resident of Lone Wolf, Okla. was born on March 7, 1974 in San Diego, Calif. to Leroy and Delores (Simmons) Morehead and passed away
on Thursday, Aug. 24, 2006 in Oklahoma City, Okla. at the age of 32.
He married
Nicole Beth Hanlin on May 22, 1999 in Lone Wolf, Okla. They were blessed with two children, Spencer Riley, age 5, and Sydney Nicole, age 2 and one-half. Jessie’s most precious gift was his wife and children.
Jessie graduated from Tuttle High School in 1992. He was a carpenter for Hanlin Construction in Lone Wolf, Okla. and also worked for Bink Land & Cattle in Hobart, Okla. Jessie was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed riding four-wheelers and being a “lake bum.”
Survivors include his wife, Nikki and children, Spencer and Sydney, of the home; his mother, Delores Morehead, Tuttle, Okla.; three sisters, Dianna McGoohan, Tuttle, Okla., Pam Bromlow and husband, Carl, Illinois, and Angie Miscoe and husband, Erick, Orlando, Fla.; six brothers, Danny Lindamood and wife, Jennifer, Chickasha, Okla., Donnie Lindamood and wife, Kris, Tuttle, Okla., Michael Morehead and wife, Rachel, Okemah, Okla.; Leroy Morehead, Jr. and wife, Mary Ellen, Kileen, Texas, Arthur Joe Morehead and wife, Kristen, Wylie, Texas; and Jimmie Dale Morehead and wife, Sandra, N.C.; his grandfather, Delbert Bromlow, Waurika, Okla.; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death
by an infant child; his father, Leroy Morehead; and his grandmothers, Irene Matlock and Iva Brumlow.
Funeral services
for Jessie Terence Morehead will be held on Monday, Aug. 28 at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Lone Wolf, Okla., officiated by Jay Berry, minister and Jim Riley, minister. Burial
will follow at the Hanlin family farm, Lone Wolf, Okla., under the direction of People’s Cooperative Funeral Home in Lone Wolf.

Jack Dewayne “Lightning” Wakefield was born February 21, 1928 southwest of Minco in the Burr Oak community to Fred A. “Fritz” and Bessie (Dobbs) Wakefield and died Sunday, August 27, 2006 at the Veterans Medical Center in Norman.
He attended the Burr Oak and Minco schools. He was a member of the Hazel Dell Baptist Church NW of Minco and was baptized on September 13, 1945 in Salyers Lake, NW of Minco. He was raised in the Minco area, moved to El Reno at a later age, and had lived back in Minco the last 22 years. Jack served in the United States Army during WWII in the Japan occupation as a Tech 5. He was a member of the El Reno VFW Post 382 and the El Reno American Legion Post 34. He had worked as a carpenter and retired from the Rock Island Railroad.
He was preceded in death
by: Parents: Fritz and Bessie Wakefield; one brother: Arthur Fred Wakefield; an infant daughter: Karrie Lou Wakefield on December 24, 1955 and a brother-in-law: Buford Hines.

for Ellen Ruth Osborn, 94 of Minco were held Sunday, August 20, 2006, 2:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Minco with Rev. Bob Denny and Rev. Steve Shellhammer officiating.
Ellen Ruth Osborn was born July 2, 1912 at Venus, Texas to William Walker and Lula (Trippet) Benson and died Friday, August 18, 2006 at El Reno.
She lived in the Minco and Pocasset communities for 81 years, since the age of 13.
Ellen was a homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church in Minco.
She married
Frankie James Osborn on November 14, 1932.
She was preceded in death
by her parents: William and Lula Benson; her husband: Frankie James Osborn on 8-10-1977; a son: James Roy Osborn on 4-16-1999; one granddaughter: Lori Lee Vickrey.
Survivors include: One daughter and son-in-law: Norma and Eugene Vickrey of Minco; one daughter-in-law: Carolyn Osborn of Oregon; one sister: Doris Orahood of Oklahoma City; one sister-n-law: Erma Benson of Blackwell; six grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren.
