Lowell Vernon Doke
Funeral services
for Lowell Vernon Doke, 93, of Pocasset, Oklahoma were held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, March 31, 2006 at the First Baptist Church of Pocasset.
Lowell Vernon Doke was born March 21, 1913 in Cogar, Oklahoma the son of Willie Lowell and Mary Loubelle (Wilkerson) Doke and died March 28, 2006 at his home in Pocasset.
Lowell moved to Pocasset in 1916 and graduated from Pocasset High School in 1931. He then worked for the Rock Island Railroad for eight years. Later he attended Hills Business University for a year and a half.
He joined the Army and served as a General’s secretary. He became a commissioned officer and was assigned as commander of the 33rd Infantry Division. They were shipped to Maui, Hawaii where they manned observation posts.
It was in Maui he met his lovely wife, Ivy Leinani Marciel, fell in love and married.
Lowell was shipped to New Guinea where he was injured in the jungle and rescued by the New Guinea natives. His wife and daughter joined him later in Pocasset.
Lowell served as the Pocasset Postmaster for two years, then transferred to a rural route carrier and served his patrons for 25 years. After retiring he began bowling and helped out by working there. He was known at the bowling alley as “Papa Doke”.
After retiring again, he spent his time helping out in the garden, running around with his wife and enjoying his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Lowell was an eighty-three year member of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Pocasset. He contributed by helping with the building projects and serving as a deacon, treasurer and Sunday School teacher.
He was a charter member of the Lions Club in Pocasset and was a 32nd degree Mason.
He was preceded in death
by: Father: W. L. Doke; Mother: Mary Loubelle Doke; Infant daughter: Mary Doke.
Survivors include: Wife: Ivy Leinani Doke of the home; one daughter: Betty Jean Jones of Tuttle; two sons and daughters-in-law: Vernon J. and Jeanne Doke of Minco, Robert Lowell and Debbie Doke of Amber; Grandchildren: Cody Ray and Connie Jones of Tuttle; Kandi and Chad Rogers of Tuttle; Kevin and Angie Doke of Yukon; Mindy Coulson of Edmond; Kesha and Darin Harryman of Budapest, Hungary; Keegan and Dedra Doke of Amber; Greatgrandchildren: Ashley and Jessi Campbell, Derick Potter, Cory Potter, Kyra Reed, Keaton Rogers, Kai Rogers all of Tuttle; Matthew Doke of Yukon; Presley Palmer of Edmond; Sydney Doke and Aubrey Doke of Amber.
Interment
was in the Pocasset Cemetery
under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the building fund of the First Missionary Baptist Church of Pocasset.
Shannon Dale Streber
Funeral services
for Shannon Dale Streber, 33, of Tuttle, Oklahoma were held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 30, 2006 at the First Assembly of God Church, Tuttle.
Shannon Dale Streber was born February 22, 1973 in Chickasha, Oklahoma the son of Michael Streber and Diane (Douglas) Streber and passed away
March 28, 2006 at the OU Medical Center under the care of Dr. George Selby. He was a loving husband, father, brother, son, uncle, cousin and friend.
Shannon was a 1992 graduate of Tuttle High School. He had battled cancer for 18 years. He had a successful bone morrow transplant February of 2005. He was a farming supervisor for Braum’s Dairy for 12 years before retiring for his transplant.
He has now joined Grandpa Leonard Streber and Uncle Bob.
He is survived by: His wife of 13 years: Kathy (Kettler) Streber; one son: Gage Streber; one daughter: Taylor Streber all of the home; father: Mike Streber of Nicoma Park; Mother: Diane Douglas MacArthur of Yukon; one brother: Shane Streber of Tuttle; Grandparents: Maxine Streber of Tuttle; Dale and Clara DeHut of Oklahoma City; a host of wonderful aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; also our extended family at OU Medical Center, Presbyterian Tower, Cade Cancer Center, the Bone Morrow Unit and the Children’s Cancer Center. You all gave our family 18 years together as you worked together as a team. Thank you for you smiles, laughter and encouragement. You all went the extra mile.
Interment
was in the Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home of Tuttle.
Vernice Leo Scott
Funeral services
for Vernice Leo Scott, 58, of Tuttle, Oklahoma were held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, April 13, 2006 at the Minco Church of Christ.
Vernice Leo Scott was born December 30, 1947 in Chickasha, Oklahoma, the son of Roy B. and Wanda Lee (Jenkins) Scott. He died Monday, April 10, 2006 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
He lived in Tuttle for 29 years and worked for Braum’s Dairy for over 20 years. He and Barbara Lee Sissom were married
May 28, 1966 in Oklahoma City.
Survivors include: His wife: Barbara Scott of the home; two daughters: Melissa Hinch and husband Logan of Tuttle, Kristyl Baron and husband of Israel of Gulfport, Mississippi; one son: Corey Scott and wife Julie of Oklahoma City; one sister: Linda Clement and husband Leonard of Moore; Parents: Roy and Wanda Scott of Tuttle; five grandchildren: Sumner Hinch, Aubrey Hinch, Price Barron, Annmarie Barron, Shooter Scott.
Interment
was in the Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home of Tuttle.
KATHERYN MATHIS GREEN
Funeral services
for Katheryn Mathis Green, 72, of Tuttle, Oklahoma were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, 2006 at the Tuttle United Methodist Church.
Katheryn Mathis Green was born April 18, 1934, the last of eight children, in Atwood, Oklahoma the daughter of William Wesley and Mattie Elizabeth (McNutt) Mathis and died April 30, 2006.
Katheryn graduated from Atwood High School as Salutatorian in 1952. She and Lavoy Green were married
April 17, 1954 in Allen, Oklahoma. She lived in Tuttle for 40 years. She participated in PTO when her daughters were in school, was a member of the Band Boosters, a member of the Tuttle United Methodist Church for 40 years, was past president of United Methodist Women as well as holding several offices on the State level. She was a “hostess with the mostest”, hosting many Christmas parties.
Katheryn retired from Sooner State Bank as a bank teller.
She was preceded in death
by: Her parents: Wes and Mattie Mathis; four brothers: Mal Mathis, Lowell Mathis, Gus Dean “Toots” Mathis, and James “Bill” Mathis; two sisters: Margaret Mathis Christopher, Lucille Mathis Reeves.
Survivors include: Husband: Lavoy Green of the home; two daughters: Julie Green Bell and husband Wayne of Burleson, Texas, Jill Green Shouse and husband Danny of Edmond, Oklahoma; one sister: Ruth Mathis Jenkins of Holdenville, Oklahoma; Mother-in-law: Thelma Green of Sasakwa, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Jon, Jarod, and Jackson Bell, Katie Beth, Dani Jo and Seth Shouse.
Interment
was in the Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
SAMUEL W. BRENCE

for Samuel W. Brence, 78 of McCloud, former Minco resident will be held Thursday, May 4, 2006, 2 pm at the Evergreen Cemetery
in Minco with Rev. Paul Nix of Choctaw officiating under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home in Minco.
Samuel W. Brence was born August 8, 1927 at Cloud Chief, Oklahoma to Harry and Betty (Craig) Brence and died Sunday, April 30 at his home in McCloud.
Mr. Brence was a high school graduate and attended barber college. He moved to Minco in 1959 then to Big Spring, Texas in 1988 and Hawkins, Texas in 1992, then settled in McCloud since 1998. He married
Marcella Loganbill on August 10, 1947 in Cordell. He served in the United States Coast Guard during WWII and retired from the Federal Prison Systems in 1992. He was a member of the Harrah Senior Citizens.
Mr. Brence was preceded in death
by his parents: Harry and Betty Brence; Wife: Marcella Brence on March 18, 2001; two sisters: Addie Mae Siemens and Faye Bynum.
He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law: Bob and Debbie Brence of Minco, Randy and Dee Dee Brence of Choctaw, Russell and Lisa Brence of Alexandria, Louisiana; one daughter and son-in-law: Donna and Bryan Mannion of Plano, Texas; one sister and brother-in-law: Ruby Nell and J.R. Clemments of Oklahoma City; ten grandchildren and one great grandchild.
JACK LEROY BOBIER
Funeral services
for Jack Leroy Bobier, age 82 of Tuttle, Oklahoma were held 1:30 p.m., Monday, May 1, 2006 in the First Baptist Church of Tuttle.
Jack Leroy Bobier was born February 20, 1924 to Roxie and Tom Bobier in Asher, Oklahoma. He died April 28, 2006 at his home in Tuttle.
Just out of Tuttle High School, he went to California and joined the Merchant Marines. In one incident at sea, he left the boiler room at 9:00. At 9:12 a German Torpedo sank the ship. The only ones killed were the three men remaining in the boiler room. He and ten other men were on a life raft for three days before they drifted to the shores of Cuba. They were thrown in jail overnight until the Cubans found out they were Americans. Jack served his country proudly for four years in the US Navy during WWII. He was on the USS Augusta Flag Ship when they stormed the beaches of Omaha and Utah of Nazi occupied Europe during the Normandy invasion. After the war, he was an airplane mechanic in Panama. He came back home and started laying brick. He was a bricklayer for many years. He taught at Moore Norman Vo Tech for seven years before his retirement. He was worshipful Master of the Tuttle Masonic Lodge. He loved hunting and fishing especially with his friend Johnnie and sons, Shane and Scott Charlson. He loved life and often said he would like to do it all over again. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren play golf, wrestle, softball, baseball and soccer.
Those preceding him in death
were his father and mother and sisters Juanita and Margaret.
Survivors include: His wife Dolores Bobier of the home in Tuttle; One son: Jackie Bobier and his wife Nancy of Tuttle; Two daughters: Terra Garrett of Tuttle, Sherri and husband Dr. Gordon Laird of Pawnee; Twin brother: Joe Bobier and wife Billie Lou of Oklahoma City and brother Tom Bobier of Oklahoma City; Sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Robert and Marie Garrett, Gilman and Kay Burris, C.B. and Janet Burris and Gayland and Dee Burris; 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Interment
was in Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, Oklahoma under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
ALENE MEYER GUY

for Alene Meyer Guy, age 74, formerly of Tuttle were held 10:30 am Monday May 8, 2006 at the Freewill Baptist Church of Newcastle.
Mrs. Guy was born the daughter of Ervin and Pearl (Cable) Johnson July 22, 1931 at Bridge Creek, Oklahoma. She died Friday May 5, 2006 at Tuttle.
She had lived in the Tuttle, Bridge Creek and Blanchard area all of her life. She had worked in the Banking Industry.
She was married
to Carl Meyer, Jr. he preceded her in death
in 2003. She later married
Mr. T. J. Guy.
She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Lindsay.
Her parents also preceded in death.
Survivors include: Her husband T.J. Guy; two daughters: Vicki Ragsdale and husband Kenneth, Carla Harper and husband Larry; two stepsons: Douglas C. Guy and Virgil L. Guy; two sisters: Zetta Myers and Lucerne Kellerby; six grandchildren, one great grandchild and four step grandchildren.
Interment
was in the Fairview Cemetery
in Tuttle, Oklahoma under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home of Tuttle.

in Tuttle.
Sunny Weston Draudt, infant son of Vicki Ross and James Draudt and grandson of Jean Mitchell of Tuttle died Saturday May 13, 2006 at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City.
James Paul Davison
James Paul Davison (Jim), the epitome of a loving husband, father & grandfather and patriarch of our family was called home by His Heavenly Father, Monday, May 22, 2006 at the age of 87, at his home in Tuttle, OK.
What a legacy he has left us. He will be missed beyond words. Our comfort is in knowing that soon we will be reunited where death
can never separate us again. He was our hero. He was a prime example of facing life's challenges courageously and with perseverance.
He was bom the seventh of eleven children to Curtis and Bertha (Copp) Davison, January 11, 1919 in Tuttle OK. He retired from Tinker Air Force Base after 31-1/2 years of service in 1975.
He was preceded in death
by his parents, 8 brothers, I grandson-in-law, Lee Haworth; I granddaughter Diana Kay Davison, I great-great granddaughter, Emilee DeAnn McKay.
He is survived by his loving wife, best friend & devoted companion of 64 years, Katherine Faye Davison of the home. Sons David Davison and wife Helen of Newcastle, OK and Jerry Davison and wife Hope of Oklahoma City, OK, and daughter Sharon James and husband Glen of Tuttle, OK.
Grandchildren: Kim Elledge and husband Jeff of Dibble, OK; Kent James and Jenny of Liberty, KS; Terry Davison and wife Amy of Abilene, TX; Robin Davison-Herd and husband Kevin of Moore, OK; Shawna Robbins and husband Bryan, of Waukee, IA; Davey Davison and wife Cindi, of Oklahoma City, OK; Kellye Eden and husband Matt, of Oklahoma City, OK; Dedra Dee and husband Charles, of Coweta, OK; Crystal Davison and Kenny Pittman, of Oklahoma City, OK.

Great-Great Grandchildren: Hunter, Clayton, Robyn, Stephanie, Lacey, Daisey, Lilea, Tristan.
Also, survived by his precious sister Lois Singletary and husband Ray of Tuttle, OK, and loving brother Leon Davison of Tuttle, OK, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Extended family members include: Mark and Vickie Condren, Bobby Thompson, Nancy Metcalf and Doris Smith.

will be Friday, May 26, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Snow Hill Baptist Church, Tuttle, OK, with Rev. Todd Littleton officiating. Services under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home in Blanchard, OK. Interment
will be at Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, OK.
Paula Sue Cloy
Memorial services for Paula Sue Cloy, 39, of Tuttle, Oklahoma were held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, May 22, 2006 at the First Baptist Church of Tuttle.
Paula Sue Cloy was born July 15, 1966 in Ada, Oklahoma the daughter of Alfred Johnson and Joy Faulkner and died May 17, 2006 at her home in Tuttle.
She and James Cloy were married
October 5, 2001 in Oklahoma City. Paula worked for Staples. She was a member of the Tuttle Round-up Club.
Paula was preceded in death
by: One son: Corey Dowling; Parents; Grandparents.
Survivors include: Husband: James Cloy of the home; One daughter: Heather Marie Hampton of Tuttle; One brother: Daniel Johnson of Ada, Oklahoma; Two sisters: Linda Kay Fox of Pennsylvania and Mary Elaine Pflum of Montana.
