Linda Schuster

Linda Schuster was born June, 30. 1944, in Oklahoma City, Okla. She was the daughter of Nora (McNulty)
McDonald and the late William W. McDonald. She died Feb. 7, 2005 at the Baptist Medical Center in Okla. City,
Okla.
She had been a resident of Altus and Jackson County since 1960. She was a long time member of the Emmanuel
Baptist Church where she was the church pianist. She worked for the Dept. of Human Services in the child welfare
division where she retired. She was a member of the Red Hats.

She is survived by two daughters Donna Randolph and husband Stacy of Altus, Oklahoma, Beverly Caldwell
and husband Kent of Paden, Oklahoma; her mother Nora McDonald of Eufaula, Oklahoma, one brother Jerry
McDonald and wife Jan of Eufaula, Oklahoma, sister-in-law Betty McDonald of Bethany, Oklahoma; six
grandchildren Deidra Kellison, Joseph Combs, Dustin Kellison, Katelyn Randolph, Price Caldwell and Blake
Caldwell; one great-grandson Keythen Kellison. She is also survived by her special companion Paul Boyd of Altus,
Oklahoma, and a host of other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her father and 1 Brother, Bill McDonald Services for Linda Jeanette Schuster are
scheduled for 2:00 PM Thursday, Feb. 10, 2005 at the Lowell-Tims Chapel with Rev. Boyd Whitehead and Rev.
Jerry McDonald officiating. Interment will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims
Funeral Home.

SCOGGIN

Dovie Imogene Scoggin, age 93 of Altus, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2007, at Baptist Medical Center in
Oklahoma City.

Dovie was born on November 1, 1913, in Olustee to Frank Alney and Virginia Francis (Newton) Drake. A faithful
member of the First United Methodist Church of Altus and a fifty-three year member of Methodist Women Circle,
Dovie loved her family and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Albert in 1979; a son, Scotty Scoggin in 1992; one great-grandson,
Christopher Brandon Wilmes in 1975; one sister Quanita Taylor; five brothers, Marvin Drake, Cecil Drake, Floyd
Drake, Wandee Drake and F.A. Drake, she is survived by one daughter-in-law, Patricia Scoggin of Altus; three
granddaughters, Linda Anderson and husband Paul of Duke, Patti Scoggin of Crowley, Texas and Dee Ann
Henderson and husband Scott of Altus; seven great grandchildren, Gene Paul Wilmes, Melissa Everson, Whitney
Anderson, Heather Stroud, Shannon Schwartz, Meridith Henderson and Scott Dee Henderson; seven great-great
grandchildren, Kaydee Wilmes, Tori Everson, Dal Everson, Jolie Everson, Hallie Everson, Tanner Stroud and Trinity
Schwartz; one sister, Della Mose of Houston, Texas and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services for Dovie Scoggin will be on Monday, January 8, 2007, at 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist
Church with Rev. David Player officiating. Interment will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of
Lowell-Tims Funeral Home of Altus.

The family of Dovie Scoggin will greet friends from 4 until 6 on Sunday, January 7, 2007 at Lowell-Tims Funeral
Home.

Billie Dale Scott

Billie Dale Scott, 39, of Blair, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, March 10, 2008, at Southwestern Medical Center
in Lawton.

Billie was born May 28, 1968, in Tulare, California, to Billie Herman and Bonnie Lee (Burns) Scott. After the
passing of this mother when Billie was very young, his father married Lucille Guinn and she became the loving
mother who raised him in Farmersville, California. Billie graduated from Exeter High School in 1987. He married
Teresa Holt January 25, 1992, in Farmersville. They moved to Blair in June of 1996, and Billie went to work for
Kay Electric in Altus for four years. After leaving Kay Electric, he went to work for the Blair Public School System
as maintenance supervisor, where he was employed until his death. Billie was an avid hunter and fisherman and
loved being involved in the 4-H program with his children. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Blair.

Billie is survived by his wife, Teresa, of the home in Blair; three children, Billie Dalton Scott, Faith Ann Scott,
and Braylee Dale Scott, all of the home in Blair; his mother, Lucille Scott of Visalia, California; one sister, Kimberly
Spohn and husband Ralph of Exeter, California; their children, Ralph Spohn, III, Rebekah Spohn, Caleb Spohn,
Josiah Spohn, Randy Spohn, and Ryan Spohn; two step-brothers, Wayne Qualls and wife Connie, Marvin Qualls
and wife Glennis, and one step-sister, Regina Shelton and husband Wayne, all of California. He is also survived by
many aunts, uncles, cousins, step-nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

Billie was preceded in death by his father, Billie Herman Scott in 2005, his biological mother, Bonnie Lee Scott
in 1973, and his grandparents, Edward and Ona Scott.

In Lieu of flowers, a memorial fund for the family has been set up at First State Bank of Altus and the Blair School
System.

Funeral Services for Billie Scott will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 14, 2008, at the Blair High School Gym
with Reverend Randy Mitchell, Reverend Jim Wiley, and Reverend Ralph Spohn, II officiating. Interment will follow
at Blair Cemetery under the directions of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

The family will greet friends on Thursday, March 13, 2008, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

Wiley L. “W.L.” Scott

Wiley L. “W.L.” Scott, 83, of Gould, Oklahoma, passed away at his home south of Gould on Sunday, November
26, 2006.
W.L. was born April 22, 1923, to Clarence and Lela (Turnbough) Scott in Harmon County, Oklahoma. He
married Leva Joy Aldridge July 4, 1948, in Harmon County. He served his country during World War II in the
United States Army Air Corp. W.L. worked as a Soil Conservation Technician for Harmon County from 1940–
1955, in Comanche County from 1955-1961, and in Tillman County from 1961–1978. After his retirement in
1978, he and Leva Joy moved back to Harmon County to make their home on the farm south of Gould. He
continued his work by raising wheat on the farm and was the Field Appraiser for the Harmon County Assessors
office for over 10 years. W.L. was a member of the First Baptist Church in Gould and served as Deacon for over
20 years.
He is survived by his wife, Leva Joy Scott of the home in Gould; four sons, Edward Ray Scott and wife Vicki Lynn
of Grand Prairie, Texas, David Eugene Scott and wife Lana Kay of Altus, Neal Kent Scott and Scott Lichtman of
Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Timothy Gail Scott and Marlon Breaux of Oklahoma City; one sister, Mildred
Barefoot and husband Delmer of Shamrock, Texas; a sister-in-law, Luvena Scott of Mangum; four grandchildren,
Christopher Ray Scott and wife Teresa of Olathe, Kansas, Michael Lynn Scott and wife Laura of Arlington, Texas,
Kristina Ann Scott of Norman, Oklahoma, and Kaci Alicia Scott of Claremore, Oklahoma, and two great-
grandchildren, Trenton Scott and Tagen Scott, both of Olathe, Kansas.
W.L. was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Lela Scott, and three brothers, Leland Scott, C.A. Scott,
and Edward Ray Scott.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, Friday, December 1.

Funeral Services for Wiley Scott will be held 10:00 am, Saturday, December 2, 2006, at Patterson Greer Chapel
with Reverend Jim Pritchard officiating. Interment will follow at the Liberty Cemetery south of Gould under the
direction of our funeral home in Hollis, Patterson Greer Funeral Home.

Memorial donations may be made to the Liberty Cemetery, c/o Sally Hickerson, Gould, OK 73544, or the
American Parkinson’s Disease Association.

Sebree

Darlene Sebree, 59, of Altus, formerly of Frederick, Oklahoma, went home to be with her Lord Saturday, June 24,
2006, at her residence in Altus.
Darlene was born August 21, 1946, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Homer Lawrence and Thelma Oleta (Dodd)
Sebree. She attended elementary and junior high school in Frederick and lived in Tillman County most of her life.
Darlene worked as a seamstress for several companies including Kellwood’s and Frybrant in Frederick. She also
worked for Schlegel in Frederick for several years. Darlene loved to fish, sing, and play the keyboard, but her
favorite pastime was spending time with her family. She was a member of the Lighthouse Chapel Assembly of God
in Frederick.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, David Sebree and Tommy Sebree, and two sisters,
Annagene Lindsey and Caroline Sebree, and two sets of twin siblings who passed away at birth.
She is survived by two daughters, Donna Defoor and Pam Omar, both of Altus; three sisters, Frances Sebree of
Altus, Gloria Rhodes of Oregon, and Joyce Byers of Altus; four brothers, Lee Sebree of Frederick, Bobby Sebree
of Sayre, Oklahoma, Jerry Sebree of Frederick, and L.R. Sebree of Altus. She is also survived by her two
grandsons, Dillon Defoor and Dusty Defoor of Davidson, Oklahoma.

Visitation with the family will be Monday, June 26, from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Lowell-Tims Chapel.

Funeral services for Darlene Sebree will be 3:00 pm Tuesday, June 27, 2006, at the Lighthouse Chapel Assembly
of God, 1920 N. 15th in Frederick with Reverend James Chandler officiating. Interment will follow at Tipton
Cemetery, Tipton, Oklahoma, under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home of Altus.

Mildred F. Seiglar

Our Mom and Grandmother, Mildred F. Seiglar, age 88, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 9,
2006 in Altus, Oklahoma.
She was born on June 8, 1917, to Arthur Scott Fisher and Ethel Elizabeth Fisher (McGehee) in Webb City, Mo.
Mildred Married Raymond L. Smith in Webb City, MO., and together they had three children, Delvis R. Smith,
Connie J. Johnson and Linda J. Sides. Her husband preceded her in death in 1951. She later married Lon W.
Seiglar in Sacramento, CA and he preceded her in death in 1993.
She moved to Altus, Oklahoma in 2004 to be near her daughter.
Mildred was also preceded in death by her parents, son, Delvis Smith, daughter, Connie Johnson and a
granddaughter, Debbie Dee Smith.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Harald and Linda Sides of Altus, Oklahoma, daughter-in-law,
Monica Smith of Fair Oaks, CA., seven grandchildren, Tammy Proctor and husband Steve, Julie Smith, Mark
Smith and Todd Johnson, all of Sacramento, CA, Lori Morgan and husband Glen of Plano, TX, Trisha Sides of
Wichita Falls, Tx., Stephanie Goekeler and husband Tom of Tulsa, Ok., seven great grandchildren, Chase and
Madison Morgan, Carlie and Cole Goekeler, John and Christian Porctor and Justin Smith. She also leaves many,
many special friends.

John Emmett Sellers

John Emmett Sellers, age 86, of Altus, Oklahoma, died Tuesday morning, June 8, 2004, at Jackson County
Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.

Services have been scheduled for 2:00 pm Thursday, June 10th at Lowell-Tims Chapel with Dr. Jeff Moore
officiating. Mr. Sellers’ brother-in-law, Reverend Clyde Berkley, will be assisting with the funeral services in Altus
and will conduct the graveside services in Hamilton, Texas. Interment will be in the Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton,
Texas Friday morning at 10:00 am. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

Mr. Sellers was born January 26, 1918, the son of Joel Neel Sellers and Ella Lee (Bankston) Sellers in
Jonesboro, Texas. He was married to Wanda Dean Berkley June 6, 1947 at Robert Lee, Texas.

Mr. Sellers was a World War II Army Veteran. He served in the European Theater in the D-Day Invasion and
Battle of the Bulge. He was wounded and was given a Medical Discharge at McClosky Hospital in Temple, Texas
on October 4, 1945.

He lived around Hamilton, Texas and had “The Wagon Wheel Café” there after his discharge. John moved his
family to Altus, Oklahoma in 1959 where he owned and operated a furniture upholstery shop for many years. He
was a member of the First Baptist Church of Altus, a lifetime member of the DAV, and a past member of the
Optimist Club.

John was a family man who worked very hard to provide for them. He was also a good Christian man who
was looking forward to Heaven.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joel Neel Sellers; his mother, Ella Lee Sellers Neal; step-father, Boyd
Neal; two brothers, Lee Neal Sellers and Jerry Audine Neal; a step-brother, William Neal; and a nephew, Gary
Sellers.

He is lovingly survived by his wife of 57 years, Wanda of the home in Altus; two daughters and a son-in-law,
Connie Parks of Edmond, Oklahoma and Gayle and Bill Meyer of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one brother, Leonard Sellers
and wife, Judy, of Abilene, Texas; a sister, Estelle Michael of Wylie, Texas; four grandchildren, Heather Marie Parks
Seabourn and husband Don, Ashley Michelle Parks, Steven Higgs and wife Dorothy, and Ryan Higgs and wife
Miranda; one great-grandchild, Jacob “Jake” Higgs; also survived by brother-in-law Clyde Berkley and wife Ann,
sister-in-law Christine Garcia and husband Jess, sister-in-law Dortha Everitt and husband Jim along with many nieces
and nephews.

Philip Shadid

Philip Shadid, age 95, passed away October 7, 2005, at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus, Oklahoma. He
was born July 10, 1910 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Elias Abraham Shadid and Nehama “Taylor” Shadid.
Philip was a 1928 graduate of Mangum High School.
He enlisted in the United States Army on January 19, 1942, and served until he was discharged January 31, 1945.
After leaving the military, Philip and his brother, Ned, started a successful farming operation South of Martha,
Oklahoma, which is still in existence today. Additionally, Philip started a surplus business which he continued until his
health began to fail.
Philip was a member of the American Legion and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Altus. He was
involved in many philanthropic organizations that focus on providing aid to the needy all over the world.
His is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Jack Shadid, Hoyt Shadid, Coy Shadid and Abe Shadid, and
one sister, Edna Shadid Dakil.
Philip is survived by his brother, Ned Shadid and his sister, Olga Shadid Hawkins of Altus, Oklahoma; two sisters-in-
law, Jimmie Shadid of Edmond, Oklahoma and Lila Shadid of Altus, Oklahoma, five nephews, Randel Shadid of
Edmond, Oklahoma and his wife, Dana, Barry Shadid of Edmond, Oklahoma and his wife, Doreen, Steven Shadid
of Norman, Oklahoma and Jay Douglas Shadid of Panhandle, Texas and his wife Patrice and Dr. Tanell Dakil of
Altus, Oklahoma and his wife Mary Jo; four nieces, Robin Shadid Wray of Altus, Oklahoma and her husband Chris,
Joan Dakil Tanner of Denton, Texas and husband R.B., Eleanor Dakil and Linda Dakil of Denton, Texas several
great nieces and nephews, and his loving care giver, Lucia Farley. Philip will lovingly be remembered by a host of
family and friends.
Services will be held Tuesday, October 11, 2005 at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Jeff Moore
officiating. Interment will follow at the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
The family will greet friends Monday, October 10, 2005 from 6:30 until 8:00 pm
Memorials in honor of Philip Shadid may be made to the First Baptist Church or Charity of their choice.
