ANITA S. HARBISON
Anita Sue (Ream) Harbison of Liberal, KS and Mustang, OK passed away February 16, 2005 in Yukon, OK.
Anita was born November 9, 1938, in Hobart, OK to Euleta H. and Raymond P. Ream and brother Jerry.
Anita graduated from Hobart High School in 1957.
She then attended and graduated from Southwestern State College in Weatherford, OK in 1961.
During her matriculation, she met the love her life, James A. Harbison of Vici, OK.
Anita and James were married on June 25, 1961 in Hobart, OK.
Her first teaching assignment was in Sharon, OK.
Later Anita and James moved to Turpin, OK and taught.
Anita then began her tenure in the Liberal, KS school district. Mrs. Harbison touched countless peoples' lives throughout her life's endeavors.
She taught English for 12 years before becoming a guidance counselor at Liberal High School.
She always continued to seek knowledge and update her credentials.
During that time, she received her master's degree from Kansas State University.
Mrs. Harbison's first priority was always the needs of her students and their parents.
She retired in May of 2000. Anita was a member of the Western Avenue Church of Christ, Liberal, KS, Retired Teachers' Association, Liberal, KS, and Chapter FA P.E.O., Liberal, KS.
She is survived by one son, Jimmy Alan Harbison of Mustang, OK and grandaughter Jordan Taylor Harbison of Valliant, OK, one daughter, Lissa Ann Harbison of Arlington, TX, mother and father-in-law Ruth and George Harbison of Vici, OK, nephew and wife Rick and Gail Ream of Streamwood, IL, niece and husband Rebecca and Mark Ziedman of Buffalo Grove, IL, nephew and wife Randy and Millin of Temecula, CA, aunt Inez Hawkins of Hobart, OK and cousins Maxine Housholder of Oklahoma City, OK, Carolyn Kays and husband Herman of Oklahoma City, OK, and Peggy Schieper of Tulsa, OK.
She was preceded in death by her husband James, father Raymond, mother Euleta, and brother Jerry.
Visitation will be at Shaw Funeral Home, Vici, OK Sunday February 20, 2005, from 1:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. and Monday, February 21, 2005, from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. Visitation at Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home in Liberal, KS will be on Tuesday, February 22, 2005 from 9:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. with family receiving friends from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
Funeral services
will be held Wednesday, February 23, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. at Western Avenue Church of Christ, Liberal, KS with Elder Wayne Kelley officiating.
Graveside services
will be held at Sunnyside Cemetery, Vici, OK at 4:00 P.M. --
Anita had a great love for her family and friends and will be forever remembered and missed. --
The family would like to celebrate Anita's life and accomplishments.

JESSIE E. CAMPBELL
HOOKER, Okla. -- Jessie E. Campbell, 87, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2005 at his residence.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Church of the Nazarene in Hooker, Okla., with the Rev. Dr. David Hoffman presiding. --
Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery.
BUFFORD O. DAUGHERTY
HOOKER, Okla. -- Bufford O. Daugherty, 80, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2005, at Memorial Hospital of Texas County in Guymon, Okla.
Funeral services
will be at 2 p.m. March 12 at Church of the Nazarene in Hooker, Okla. with the Rev. Dr. David Hoffman presiding.
Burial will be at Hooker Cemetery.
Memorials may be left at the Roberts Brothers Funeral Home in Hooker, Okla.
ROBERT A. HARRISON
TYRONE, Okla. -- Roger A. Harrison, 52, died Sunday, Jan. 8, 2006, at his residence.
Funeral arrangements are pending and will be announced by the Miller Mortuary.
SHERIFF BILLY E. CASSINGHAM
BEAVER COUNTY, Okla. -- Sheriff Billy E. Cassingham, age 67, died January 6, 2006 at Integris Southwest Medical Center, Oklahoma City, Okla.
Billy Edward Cassingham was born Jan. 9, 1938 in Lyons, Kansas to Gary and Evadna (Muxlow) Cassingham. Bill graduated from Medford High School in Medford, Oklahoma in 1956.
Following his graduation, he attended Northern Oklahoma Jr. College and Northwestern State University.
He joined the Naval Reserve and served for two years.
After being honorably discharged from the service in June of 1961 he began working for the Department of Public Safety in Tulsa, Okla.
In 1964 he was accepted and graduated with the 18th OHP Academy.
He completed 20 years with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol before retiring in 1984 as a 2nd Lt.
Upon his retirement from the patrol, Bill was elected to the office of Beaver County Sheriff, where he served for 21 years and was the longest active sitting Sheriff in the State of Oklahoma at the time of his death.
Bill will be remembered for his association with various organizations in his communities and work.
He served on the OSA Board of Directors, OSPOA Board of Directors and President, CLEET Board and Chairman of CLEET Board, President of the Northwest Peace Officers Association and President of the 5 State Peace Officers Association.
He was also one of the charter members of the Pioneer Golf Club that helped to create and improve the local golf course.
His Law Enforcement awards include CLEET Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate, OSBI Directors Award for Law Enforcement, Honorary member of Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Association and the Meritorious Service Award from the Oklahoma Sheriff and Peace Officers Association. He also served as a Special Deputy for the U.S. Marshall Service, Western District of Oklahoma.
He is survived by wife, Cathy Cassingham, of Forgan, Okla, sons Gary Cassingham and wife Cindi of Beaver, Okla., Mike Cassingham and wife Nikki of Oklahoma City, Okla., Christopher Desper and wife Stefany of Lawton, Okla., Zachary Jones and wife Natalie of Hydro, Okla., Nathan Jones and fiancee Laura of San Diego, Calif., and Brock Jones of Durant, Okla. He has ten grandchildren, Heather Cassingham, Traci Cassingham, Jesse Cassingham, Sarah Cassingham, Taylor Schwarz, Colton Schwarz, Kennedy Cash, Cody Desper, Bobby Desper and Zachary Jones. One sister, Garilyn Ulibarri and husband John of Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his parents Gary and Evadna Cassingham.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2006, at the Beaver Field House Gymnasium in Beaver, Oklahoma with Reverends Darrell Owen, Darrell Hardy and Torrey Curtis presiding.
Burial will be at Pioneer Cemetery Beaver, Oklahoma, with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol Honor Guard will do the flag presentation.
Calling time will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home Liberal, Kansas, and 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the First Christian Church in Beaver Oklahoma. No viewing will be conducted at the service.
In lieu of flowers the family asked that donations be made to the Sheriff Billy E. Cassingham Memorial Scholarship Fund in care of First Security Bank of Beaver, Oklahoma Box 947 Beaver, Oklahoma 73932.
ROBERT S. DAY
TURPIN, Okla. -- Robert S. Day, 75, died Sunday, Jan. 8, 2006, at his residence following a sudden illness.
He was born Sept. 3, 1930, to John Rufus and Laura Faye Harrington Day in Forgan, Okla.
He married Joyce L. Davis Nov. 4, 1950, in Reno, Nev.
She survives.
He graduated the Forgan High School in 1949.
He was a terminal supervisor of the Diamond Shamrock Terminal in Turpin, Okla., for 37 years, retiring in 1994.
He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the U.S. Marine Corps for five years.
Other survivors include his mother; two sons, Eugene Day, Turpin, Okla., and Scott Day, Ulysses; one daughter, Linda Day, Oklahoma City; eight grandchildren; three great-grandsons and two sisters, Karen Livingston. Portland, Ore., and Jo Ann Duckworth, Amarillo, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Jane Spaulding.
Funeral services
will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Turpin United Methodist Church with the Rev. Harold Wheeler presiding.
Burial will be at Forgan Cemetery.
Friends may call at 4 to 8 p.m. today, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the Miller Mortuary.
Memorials are suggested to the Turpin United Methodist Parsonage Building Fund in care of the mortuary.
MARION E. PAFFORD
GUYMON, Okla. -- Marion Edison Pafford, 93, died Sunday, Jan. 8, 2006, at Memorial Hospital of Texas County in Guymon, Okla.
He was born April 2, 1912, to Roscoe Randolph and Frances Folsom (Smart) Pafford in Alpine, Texas.
He married Dorothy Bell Cooper May 2, 1942, in Guymon. She survives.
He graduated from Clinton High School in Clinton, Okla., in 1932.
He was a carpenter and a farmer, retiring in 1970.
He was a lifetime member of the Oklahoma Carpenters Union, joining in 1941, and was a member of the Guymon Masonic Lodge No. 335 AF & AM.
Other survivors include two sons, Lee Pafford and wife, Judy, Boise City, Okla., and Glen Pafford and wife, Sue, Waxahachie, Texas; four grandchildren, Shelly Hardesty, Hennessey, Okla., Brian Pafford, Hennessey, Kurt Pafford, Dalhart, Texas, and Misty Parker, Hardesty, Okla.; eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Leona Combs, Turpin, Okla.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Clinton Pafford.
Funeral services
will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hardesty School Auditorium with Pastor Harold Bollinger presiding.
Burial will follow at Hartville Cemetery southeast of Hardesty.
