ORVILLE A. RAWLINS
HOOKER, Okla. -- Orville A. Rawlins, 79, died Wednesday, April 21, 2004, at the Dunaway Manor in Guymon, Okla.
He was born Oct. 24, 1924, to Rube and Laura Estella Alexander Rawlins in Tyrone, Okla.
He married Berdine Shiflett, Aug. 13, 1947, in Perryton, Texas. She survives.
He graduated from Gould High School.
He was a farmer. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II and later in the Korean War.
He worked in Guymon, Okla. for the Nash Brothers and he also worked in a gas station.
He later helped build houses at the new gas plants in the area. He worked in the oil and gas industry, working for 45 years at the Hugoton-Plains, Mapco and Santa Fe Gas companies.
After retiring, he bought land and ran cattle.
He was a member of the Church of Christ in Hooker, Okla. where he served as the Deacon of Education for 20 years and an Elder for 21 years. He was also a member of the VFW and NRA.
Other survivors include three sons, Charles Lelan Rawlins and wife, JoAnn, hooker, Okla. , Alton Mark Rawlins and wife, Debby, Cheyenne, Okla., Gaylen Lyle Rawlins, and wife Lora Le, Hutchinson; two daughters, Leta Ruth Roberts and husband, Richard, Hooker, Okla., Nancy Jane Norman, and husband, Joel, Luther, Okla.; 14 grandchildren, Terry Rawlins, Jason Leggett, David Roberts, Charles Rawlins, Jason Roberts, Ace Rawlins, Allen Roberts, T.J. Norman, Benjamin Rawlins, Phillip Norman, Anne Rawlins, DeNasia Rawlins, Erin Rawlins, Kathryn Norman three great-grandchildren, Brooke Foree, Christopher Trammell and Luke Rawlins; one sister, Jewel Hamm, Hillsboro, Ore.; a sister-in-law, Beulah Ivle, Canadian, Texas.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Church of Christ in Hooker, Okla. with Neville Buchanan and Don Nelson presiding.
Burial will be at the Hooker Cemetery in Hooker, Okla.
Memorials are suggested to the "In Search of the Lord's Way" television ministry, the Tipton Children's Home or the Westview Children's Home in care of Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, P.O. Box 745, Hooker, Okla. 73945.
WILLIAM T. CAMPBELL
BEAVER, Okla. -- William T. Campbell, 90, died Sunday, April 25, 2004.
He was born April 27, 1913, to Charley Clay and Carrie Mae (Parker) Campbell near Elmwood, Okla.
He married Olive Gail Rock March 22, 1941, in Beaver, Okla. She died March 14, 1996.
He graduated from high school and was a farmer.
He is survived by three sons, William Tim Campbell, Guymon, Okla., Terry Lynn Campbell, Bixby, Okla., Charles Logan Campbell, Glenpool, Okla.; eight grandchildren; seven grandchildren; one brother, Leslie Campbell, Beaver, Okla.; and many relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Service with the George Peterson presiding.
Burial will be at the Capitol View, Elmwood, Okla.
CLIFFORD C. EVANS
TURPIN, Okla. Clifford C. Evans, 88, Turpin, Okla., died Wednesday morning, May 5, 2004, at the Southwest Medical Center.
He was born June 28, 1915, at Turpin, Okla., the son of Charlie B. and Mina E. Wallace Evans.
He married Naomi M. Kiser July 21, 1940, in Liberal. She preceded him in death on January 26, 1979.
He graduated from the Turpin High School in 1932.
He was a life long farmer in Beaver County and was a custom harvester for 20 years. He retired from farming in 1990.
He was a member of the Turpin United Methodist Church, IOOF Lodge and the Turpin Senior Citizens.
He is survived by two daughters, Beverly Newberry and husband Emory, Turpin, Okla., and Debra Evans, Turpin, Okla.; three grandchildren, Dustin Newberry and wife, Kristi, Melanie Beckett and husband Bryce, Josie Ipson and husband T.J.; and great-grandchildren, Blake and Maydson Beckett and Zylee Ipson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Rupert Evans, and one son, Rodney Evans.
Memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Turpin United Methodist Church with Reverends Stanley Lehnert and Dianne Izquierdo presiding.
Friends may call at the Miller Mortuary from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday.
Memorials are suggested to the Turpin United Methodist Church Building Fund or may be left at the mortuary.
EVELYN FANKHOUSER
HOOKER, Okla. -- Evelyn Fankhouser, 74, died Saturday May 8, 2004, at Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City, Okla.
She was born Jan. 6, 1930, in Guymon, Okla. to Shorty and Tiffany Morris Jacobs. She attended school in Guymon, Okla. until her sophomore year.
She married Tony K. Fankhouser June 14, 1953, in Clayton, N.M. He died Oct. 29, 1993.
She graduated from Blue Eye High School. She attended Amarillo Business College for one year and while there she worked at Blackburn's.
She worked for Grey's Drug and in 1956, they moved to Konawa, Okla. She worked at a local bank and they ranched in the area.
In 1967, they moved back to Hooker, Okla., where she worked for First National Bank.
She loved planting and taking care of her flowers and yard. She had many bird houses in her back yard and enjoyed watching and feeding the numerous birds that came every year.
She is survived by nephews, Bill and wife, Carol Fankhouser, Yukon, Okla., D.M. and wife, Kathy Fankhouser, Tulsa, Okla.; niece, Pat Roehr, Amarillo, Texas; cousins, Suzy and husband Bill Blaylock, Denver, Colo.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, Kurt and Joe Don and her parents and her step father, Joe Stout.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 13, 2004, at the Hooker Cemetery in Hooker, Okla. with the Reverend Rick Trobaugh presiding.

OREL E. BENNETT
BEAVER, Okla. - Orel Ellen Bennett, 100, died May 11, 2004, at the Beaver County Memorial Hospital.
She was born on July 21, 1903, in Fairfield, Mo., to Jacob Walter and Mary Margaret (McKenzie) Hudson.
She married Milford Jay Bennett in Kingfisher, Okla., on Sept. 24, 1924. He died Jan. 13, 1973.
She graduated from high school and obtained a masters in education.
She was a teacher.
She was a member of the Christian Church and the Delta Kappa Gamma.
Survivors include two sons, Daryl Bennett, Beaver, Okla., and Ronald Jay Bennett, Turpin, Okla.; three daughters, Fayrene Mayes, Sedalia, Mo., Wylene Arnold, Centennial Colo., and Judy Woorland, Santa Fe, N.M.; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Thursday, May 13, 2004, at 10 a.m. at the Beaver First Christian Church with Read Barby presiding.
Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Clearlake, Okla., under the direction of Clark Funeral Service, Beaver, Okla.
Memorials are suggested to the charity of choice or the Beaver County Memorial Hospital.
ELSIE I. PUGH
BALKO, Okla. - Elsie Ida Pugh, 94, died Thursday, May 20, 2004 at her residence in Balko, Okla.
She was born November 21, 1909, to George Henry and Maud Eunice (Gooch) Garner in Ireton, Okla.
She married Senator Alexander Pugh, Dec. 18, 1928, in Perryton, Texas. He died May 13, 1988.
She graduated from the Union Schools.
She was a homemaker all her life.
Survivors include her daughter, Erlene Weeks, Balko, Okla.; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; one brother, Kenneth Garner, Elmira, Ore.; and many other relatives and friends.
*Funeral services will Monday at 2 p.m. in the Balko Apostolic Church with Jack Cornell and Fred Huff presiding.
Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery under the direction of Clark Funeral Service, Beaver, Okla.
ANDREW J. BECKER
BEAVER, Okla. Andrew James Becker, 15, died Monday, May 24, 2004 in a vehicle accident.
He was born Dec. 12, 1988, to Timothy James and Marian Rebecca "Becky" (Griffith) Becker in Oklahoma City, Okla.
He was a high school student.
He was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
He was active in FFA, football and tennis.
He is survived by his parents; his brother, Samuel, Beaver, Okla.; his sister, Erin Rebekah Becker, Beaver, Okla.; his grandparents, Arlo and Joyce Becker, Enid, Okla.; and many other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Jamison.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Beaver High School Auditorium with Bill Moore presiding.
Burial will be at the Pioneer Cemetery.
