CHARLES C. RODKEY
TYRONE, OKLA. -- Charles C. Rodkey, 89, died Wednesday, March 10, 2004, at the Wheatridge Park Care Center in Liberal.
He was born Oct. 28, 1919, to Clark L. and Mrytle O. Anderson Rodkey in Selman, Okla.
He married Mary I. Jackson on Oct. 14, 1939, in Woodward, Okla. She died Dec. 27, 1997.
He attended school at Buffalo, Okla.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy.
He was an equipment operator for the Oklahoma Highway Department in Buffalo. He moved to Liberal in 1947 where he was an operator for Halliburton Energy Services. He was a sheet metal assembly person and inspector for Beech Aircraft retiring in 1982. Following retirement he and his wife were gatekeepers for the Recreation Department in Optima, Okla.
He was a member of the Tyrone Masonic Lodge No. 361 and served as Worshipful Master.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Rodkey and wife Ida, Liberal; Charles Rodkey and wife, Tara, Marietta, Ga.; one daughter, Marietta "Rita" Foster, Wichita; two brothers, Earl "Vic" Rodkey and wife, Pearl, Wagner, Okla.; Virgil Rodkey and wife Peggy, Tulsa, Okla.; two sisters, Lios Demuth, Rooston, Okla., Dilla Hood and Husband Bob, Tyrone, Okla.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, four sisters, and one daughter.
Graveside services
will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, at the Tyrone Cemetery with Rev. Rex Petty presiding.
Friends may call at the Miller Mortuary in Liberal between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Friday and between 1 p.m. and 8 p.m. until noon on Saturday.
Miller Mortuary in Liberal is in charge of the arrangements.
ETHEL M. AUSTIN
TYRONE, Okla. -- Ethel M. Austin, 96, Tyrone, Okla. died Wednesday, March 24, 2004, at the Liberal Good Samaritan Center in Liberal.
She was born Oct. 19, 1907, in Tyrone, Okla. to Corbett C. and Della A. Dotson Cain.
She married O.S. Austin June 28, 1925, in Hooker, Okla. He died July 1, 1984.
She graduated from Tyrone High School in 1925. She and her family moved to Alamosa, Colo. for nine years, where she was a sales clerk in a department store. She returned to Tyrone, Okla. in 1947. She and her husband owned and operated a small dairy farm for many years.
She was a member of the Tyrone United Methodist Church. She was a member of the United Methodist Women, Order of Eastern Star and served as Worthy Matron and served in all of the offices.
She loved to play cards, sewing, crocheting, knitting and her garden.
She is survived by one son, Royal Austin and wife, Tish, Hemet, Calif.; one daughter, Marjorie Faucett, and husband, Dick, Tyrone, Okla.; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Bernard L. Cain, and wife, Myrtle Laurene, Maheson, Colo.; Glenn Cain, Tyrone, Okla.; Robert Cain and wife Dorothy, Tyrone, Okla.; one sister, Mildred Feese, Liberal; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by one granddaughter; one great-grandson; one brother, George Cain; and sisters, Kathryn Smith and Edna Cain.
Funeral services
will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Tyrone United Methodist Church with the Revered Rick Trobaugh presiding.
Burial will be at the Tyrone Cemetery.
Friends may call the Miller Mortuary from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m .Friday and 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. Saturday.

BILLIE J. WARE
TYRONE, Okla. -- Billie J. Ware, 76, died Monday, March 22, at the Shalimar Health Center in Salina.
She was born June 3, 1927, to Fred and Vena Ham Potter in Panhandle, Texas.
She married Charles H. Ware March 23, 1942 inn Hooker, Okla. He survives.
She attended school at Forgan, Okla.
She was a waitress in Forgan, Okla. for several years.
She was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Liberal.
Other survivors include one son, Gary Ware, Vernal, Utah; three daughters, Mickey Tannehill, Liberty, Mo., Sherri Ware, Salina, Rita Protzman and husband, Bob, Salina; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Fred David Ware and Darrell Ware; one grandson, Mark Ware.
Funeral services
will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Miller Chapel with Delbert trahern presiding.
Burial will be at Forgan Cemetery in Forgan, Okla.
Friends may call the Miller Mortuary from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. until service time on Thursday.
ERLEANE "COLDWATER" BARNETT
FORGAN, Okla. -- Erleane "Coldwater" Barnett, 82, died February 20, 2004, in Fresno, Calif.
She was born March 4, 1921, in Forgan, Okla. to Howard and Grace Coldwater.
She married Eldon Barnett Sept. 1939. He preceded her in death.
She attended Forgan schools and graduated in 1939. She attended 4-C's College.
She worked for the telephone company as an operator. She worked part-time at Gottschalks Department Store in downtown.
She worked in the Fresno City Schools District as attendance secretary at Fresno High School. She later served as attendance secretary at Bullard High School, Hoover High School, and later worked in the district office. She retired in 1984.
She was baptized at an early age and was a member of the Forgan United Methodist Church.
She is survived by three sons, Edward and wife, Marlinda, Ariz, Leslie, Visalia, Calif., Eric, Fresno, Calif.; one daughter, Lorie and husband, Richard Bonander, Merced, Calif.; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Earl Coldwater, Wichita, Charles Coldwater, Forgan, Okla. and many relatives and friends.
Graveside Memorial services were Monday, March 22, 2004, at the Forgan Cemetery with Wayne Moore presiding.
CHANCE FOX and ROWDY FOX
HOOKER, OKLA. -- Chance Fox, 6 and Rowdy Fox 4, of Hooker, Oklahoma, passed away March 27, 2004, in Liberal.
Chance Pierce Claude Fox was born December 15, 1997, in Phoenix, Ariz. and Rowdy Timothy Doyle Fox was born May 21, 1999, in Liberal the sons of Bob and Angie Burns Fox.
Chance attended Kindergarten and Rowdy attended Pre-Kindergarten at Hooker Elementary School. They loved to play and explore in the world outdoors. Their favorite cartoon character was Scooby-Doo. They loved their mother and father.
Survivors include their father, Bob Fox of Liberal and their mother Angie Gardner of Hooker, Okla.; four sisters, Haleigh Epperley and her husband Lee of Hooker, Okla., Brooke Burns of Hooker, Okla. Jody Roundsville and her husband Scott of Chico, Calif., Jolene Nagy of Overton, Neb.; one brother, James Fox of Newton, Texas; maternal grandparents, Claude and Barbara Burns of Hooker, Okla.; aunts and uncle, Gaylene Clutter of Hooker, Tim and Nancy Burns of Brooklyn, N.Y.; nieces and nephews, Josh, Joselyn, Joseph, Sage, Breanna, Bryce, Rylee, Reagan and Trey; cousins, Elizabeth and Lydia Clutter, Josh and Neveah Harper.
Preceding in death are maternal great grandparents, Robert and Mabel Burns, paternal grandparents, Doyle and Louise Lee Fox.
Graveside services
will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 31, 2004, at the Hooker Cemetery in Hooker, Oklahoma with James Weis of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness in Guymon, Okla.
Memorials may be given for family expenses and may be left at the Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, Box 745, Hooker, Okla. 73945.
DIANE L. CONDIE
BEAVER, Okla. -- Diane Louise Condie, 53, died Friday, April 9, 2004, at her residence in Beaver.
She was born Jan. 17, 1951, to Francis James and Marian (Hartlett) Condie in Stanford, Conn.
She had been a Beaver resident for the past 21 years. She was formerly a cook at Sunset Cafe, Forgan, Okla.
Survivors include one sister, Barbara Frost, Beaver; three nephews, Mark McVickers, Troy McVickers and Jason Frost; two nieces, Sherri McLemore and Maureen Abbott; and numerous great-nephews and great-nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Graveside services
will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Forgan Cemetery in Forgan with David Glascock presiding.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Monday at Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home in Liberal. The casket will remain closed.
IMOGENE SUETTA CLINE
OKLAHOMA CITY -- Imogene Suetta Cline, 93, died Monday, April 19, 2004, in Oklahoma City, Okla.
She was born October 8, 1910, to Olin Garfield and Inez Arlene Grant Cline in Tyrone, Okla.
She married Myrl L. Bowers of Dombey, Okla. in Feb. 1929. He died in 1951.
She graduated from Tyrone High School.
She was a music teacher, teaching piano from the age of 16. She and her husband farmed the Tyrone community until his death in 1951. She continued farming with her son and taught piano to many students in Tyrone, Okla. and the surrounding area until she retired in 1991. She then moved to Oklahoma City, residing at Epworth Villa.
She was a member of Oklahoma Music Teachers Association, served as organist and pianist for the Tyrone Methodist Church and Cornerstone Church, both in Tyrone. As a president of the Music Teachers Association Panhandle Area she organized and participated in the mass concert with Miss America.
Survivors include one son Myrl William (Bill) and wife, Wilma, Tyrone, Okla.; two daughters, Aleta Imogene Winkler and husband, Jack, Oklahoma City, Okla.; Charlene (Chicky) Sue Fowler and husband, Dennis C., Houston, Texas; six grandchildren, Edward Myrl Bowers, Lake Charles, La.; Melody Geurin and John, DeSoto, Texas; Rodney Bowers, Tyrone, John C. Winker and Jane, Norman, Okla.; Stephanie Bouc and David, Carmel Valley, Calif.; Amanda Fowler Caress and Ronald, Houston, Texas; 11 great grandchildren, Jason and Jessica Bowers, Rachel and John Geurin, Alison Winkler, Maris and Elliott Bouc, Cole, Hailey and Callie Caress; and two great great grandchildren, Emily and Chandler Bowers.
She was also preceded in death by three grandchildren, James Gregory Winkler, Tony Bowers, and Dennis Crosby Fowler, Jr.; and her parents.
Graveside services
will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Tyrone Community Cemetery, Tyrone.
Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Friday, April 23, at Epworth Villa Chapel, Oklahoma City.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2004, at Smith and Kernke, 14624 N. May Avenue, Oklahoma City.
