TYRONE, Okla. -- Mae Mann, 90, Tyrone, died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2003, at Beaver Nursing Home in Beaver, Okla.
She was born Dec. 4, 1912, to Jim and Mattie (Snawder) Hopson in Texas County, Okla.
She married Raymond Mann on July 15, 1933, in Tyrone. He died Sept. 2, 1998.
She graduated from Tyrone High School in 1931, and later attended Panhandle A&M in Goodwell, Okla. She was a life-long resident of Tyrone.
Her hobbies included growing flowers.
She was a member of Eastern Star, and Rebekahs Lodge.
Survivors include one son, Gerald Mann and wife, Patsy, Liberal; one daughter, Valene Albert and husband, Leon, Knowles, Okla.; two sisters, Lethea Beach, Soldotna, Alaska, and Grace Rawlins, Salem, Ore.; one grandson, Rodney Albert and wife, Tera; one great-grandson, Noah Albert; and one great-grandaughter, Bentleigh Albert.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Jerry Jim; and three brothers, Paul, Lee and Glen.
Graveside services
will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Tyrone Cemtery in Tyrone.

SYLVIA M. MELCHER
GATE, Okla. -- Sylvia M. (Paasch) Melcher, 89, former Beaver County, Okla., resident, died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2003, in Neosho, Mo.
She was born Aug. 30, 1913, in Beaver County, Okla., to James Lloyd and Jessie Vance.
She attended Gate Schools and graduated from Garden City High School in Garden City.
She married Parker Paasch Nov. 26, 1930. He died in 1960.
She married George C. Melcher June 5, 1971, in Ulysses. He survives.
Survivors also include four sons, Jerry Paasch, Springdale, Ark., David Paasch, Garden City, Martin Paasch, Los Angeles, Calif., and Michael Paasch, Goddard; one step-son, Charles Melcher, Lexington, Ky.; one sister, Gertrude Spicer, Waterloo, Iowa; nine grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, one step-great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services
will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the College Street Baptist Church in Ulysses, with Wayne Shuffield and Sam Bynum presiding.
Burial will follow at the Zelma Cemetery in Gate.
Services are under the direction of Clark Funeral Service in Beaver, Okla.
Memorials are suggested to the Mountain View Baptist Church in La Veta, Colo.
BILL A. EAGAN
GUYMON, Okla. -- Bill A. Eagan, 63, died Sunday, Jan. 19, 2003, at Memorial Hospital of Texas County in Guymon, Okla.
He was born Nov. 14, 1939, to Vernon Roy and Bertha (Hatfield) Egan in Borger, Texas.
He married Kay Kenner on May 21, 1959, in Beaver, Okla. She survives.
He attended the Borger school system.
He was an Army Veteran, and also established Eagan's Warehouse Showroom in Guymon and Liberal.
He was a member of the Baptist Church in Borger.
Survivors also include, two sons, Billy and Jimmy, both of Guymon; two grandchildren, Jimmy Ray and Lance Allen Eagan; two great-grandchildren, Damion Ray and Elycia Christine Eagan; five sisters, Etta Mowery, Calif., Lois Herdman, Bonner Springs, Ruth South and Gloria Jones, both of Borger, and Janet Babbs, Pampa, Texas; two brothers, Teddy Eagan, Calif., and Bob Eagan, Borger, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Joy Luttrell; and two brothers, Bud and Oral Lee Eagan.
Funeral services
will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Victory Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mike Chaffin presiding.
Burial will be at Elmhurst Cemetery in Guymon, Okla.

ROSSTON, Okla. -- Lloyd "L.B." Lively, 72, died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2003, at Woodward Regional Hospital in Woodward, Okla.
He was born Aug. 1, 1930, to Benjamin Franklin and Cora (Stout) Lively in Washington County, Ark.
He married Betty Maphet Sept. 1, 1974, in Buffalo, Okla. She survives.
He graduated from Westville High School in Oklahoma.
He was owner and operator of L&L Dirt Company in Laverne, Okla., and also attended two years of barber school.
He was a member of Family Worship Center in Woodward.
Survivors also include, one step-son, Chris McAtee and wife, Gayla, Laverne; two step-daughters, Janet Bowen and husband, Steve, Woodward, and Vicki Hecox and husband, Steve, Liberal; one brother, John Lively and wife, Pat, Siloan Springs, Ark.; one sister, Betty Anderson and husband, Bill, West Siloan Springs, Ark.; father-in-law, Everett Maphet, Rosston; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, J.C. Lively and Sam Lively.

will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at United Methodist Church in Laverne, Okla. with the Rev Diana Northcutt and the Rev Larry Bowen presiding.
Military graveside rites by the Laverne/Buffalo American Legion at Gate Cemetery in Gate, Okla.
Friends may call until 8 p.m. today, and from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday, also from 9 until 11 a.m. Sunday.

HENNESSEY, Okla. -- Elma Cordelia Choate, 64, died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2003, at Hennessey Care Center in Hennessey.
She was born Sept. 22, 1938, to Alfred and Bessie (Kimbrough) Ashlock in Buffalo, Okla.
She married Donald R. Choate Oct. 28, 1957, in Laverne, Okla.
She had lived most of her life in the Lacy, Okla., community.
She attended school in Buffalo.
Survivors include one son, Justin Choate and wife, Debra, Hennessey; two brothers, Dean Ashlock, Hennessey, and Dennis Ashlock, Yukon, Okla.; two sisters, Mrs. O.F. (Barbara) Young, Tyrone, Okla., and Mrs. Georgia McNabb, Sublette; two granddaughters, Julie Keil and husband, Bryan, Longmont, Colo., and Shelley Choate, Hennessey; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services
were at 2 p.m. Jan. 18 at Bible Church in Hennessey with the Pastor L.D. Choate presiding.
Burial was at Hennessey Cemetery.

GATE, Okla. -- Joe Austin Jones, 61, died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2003, in Gallup, N.M.
He was born July 17, 1941, to Vernon Oakland and Mildred Erma (Canady) Jones, in Beaver, Okla.
He married Judy Dixon March 31, 2001 in Knowles, Okla. She survives.
He attended school and had more than four years of college.
He was a retired schoolteacher.
He was a member of Nazarene Church.
Other survivors include, two sons, Brad Christiansen, Albuquerque, N.M., and Jeff Christiansen, Denver, Colo.; three brothers, Alfred Jones, North Edwards, Calif., Vernon Jones, Knowles, Okla., Donald Jones, Hot Springs, Ark.; two sisters, Olive Jackson, Bernice, Okla., Darlene Herbstreit, Ridgecrest, Calif.; three grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends.

GUYMON, Okla. -- Opal Cloys DeSpain, 93, died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003, at Dunaway Manor in Guymon.
She was born Oct. 9, 1909, to Charles Walker and Mary Ellen (Goodner) Adams in Madison, Okla.
She married Bishop Beene July 21, 1928. He precedes her in death.
She married Ora DeSpain Feb. 13, 1933. He died in 1983.
Her hobbies included watching her children's and grandchildren's sporting events.
She was a member of Gate Methodist Church in Gate, Okla., and she served as a scouting den mother for many years.
