MARY E. ATHERTON
ADAMS, Okla. -- Mary Elizabeth Atherton, 92, died Friday, Nov. 2, 2001, at Liberal Good Samaritan Center in Liberal.
She was born Sept. 21, 1909, to Harry Walker and Lenora Angeline (English) Thomas in Eastland, Texas.
She went to live with her family to Springdale, Ark., where they lived on a farm.
She married Marvin Clifton King Jan. 29,1928. He died June 25, 1962.
She married the Rev. E.H. Atherton May 22, 1971. He died Dec. 4, 1982.
She managed a shoe store in Bonhem, Texas for many years.
She lived in Adams, Okla., until the Fall of 1996, when she moved to the Liberal Good Samaritan Center in Liberal.
She was a seamstress.
Her hobbies included fishing and reading.
Survivors include five stepsons, Lee Atherton and wife, Jane, Denver, Colo., Raymon Atherton and wife, Dorothy, Loveland, Colo., Norbert Atherton and wife, Lanore, and Melvin Atherton, all of Wichita, and Wayne Atherton and wife, Debbie, Iola; two stepdaughters, Beulah Mae Atherton, Liberal, and Nina Mae Couch and husband, Cecil, Pawhuska, Okla.; one sister, Callie Helen Wadley, Liberal; one brother, Glen Hendrix Thomas, Liberal; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services
will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Roberts Brothers Funeral Home in Hooker, Okla.
Burial will be at the Union Center Cemetery east of Adams.
Friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday only up until service time.
Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer unit of the Good Samaritan Center in Liberal, in care of Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, P.O. Box 745, Hooker, OK 73945.
MARIE PRENTICE
BOKCHITO, Okla. -- Marie Prentice, 91, Bokchito, died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2001, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.
She was born Dec. 27, 1909, to David and Rhoenia (Green) Barnes in Hartford, Ark.
She married A.O. Prentice Oct. 12, 1928, in Pritchard, Okla. He preceded her in death.
She moved from Hartford to Bryan County, Okla., as a child. Later, she moved to Liberal.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bokchito.
She was also a member of the Bryan County farming community, Eastern Star and Home Demonstration Club in Pritchard.
Survivors include one son, Wayne Prentice, Liberal; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, R.J. Barnes, Raymond Barnes and Wesley Barnes; and two sisters, Ada Clagg and Victoria Clagg.
Funeral services
will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Bokchito with the Rev. Gerald Kelly presiding.
Burial will be at Gethsemane Cemetery in Caddo, Okla.
Friends may call from 3-4 p.m. Sunday at Dalton-Holmes Funeral Home in Durant, Okla.

DELIA MAE ROSE
BEAVER, Okla. -- Delia Mae Rose, 88, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2001, at the Beaver County Nursing Home in Beaver.
She was born May 5, 1913, to Herb and Tania Hibbs at the family home on Clear Creek.
She attended school at Elmwood and completed her high school education at Beaver.
She married Loyd Rutherford.
She later married Homer Rose in Oregon. Her husband, who preceded her in death, was killed in a fire at the family home in Oregon.
She moved to Beaver after her husband's death to be near her sister and two brothers.
She worked at the Jones-Plummer Trail Museum for several years until her health failed.
She moved to the Beaver County Nursing Home in July of 1991.
She gave her life to Christ at an early age.
She was a member of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include one brother, Leroy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Helen; and one brother, P.O.
Graveside services
were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, at the Pioneer Cemetery in Beaver, with Jim Maynard presiding.
Services were under the direction of Clark Funeral Service in Beaver.
JOSE A. RODRIGUEZ
GUYMON, Okla. -- Jose Angel "Joe" Rodriguez, 63, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2001, at Baptist St. Anthony's Hospital in Amarillo, Texas.
He was born Oct. 1, 1938, to Manuel and Pabla Rodriguez in Gregory, Texas.
He married Margarita Martinez July 25, 1959, in CD Acuna, Mexico. She died March 7, 2000.
He and his family moved to Guymon in 1970 from Olton, Texas.
He worked as a farm laborer for Hyer Farms for several years.
He was a member of the St. Peter's Catholic Church, where he was involved in the youth group for many years and the Crusillo Club.
He was a past member of the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include four daughters, Renate Montez and husband, Raul, Killen, Texas, Christina Vela and husband, Raymond, Perryton, Texas, Cora Westbrook and husband, Lynn, Edmond, Okla., and Irene Schaffer, Liberal; one son, Frankie Rodriguez and wife, Laura, Okmulgee, Okla.; one sister, Mary Rodriguez, Olton; two brothers, Pete Rodriguez, Memphis, Texas, and Ray Rodriguez of California; 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, one brother, one sister and one granddaughter.
A Vigil prayer service will be at 7 p.m. today at the St. Peter's Catholic Church in Guymon, with Deacon Joe Cruz presiding.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter's Catholic Church, with Father Scott Adams presiding.
Burial will follow at the Elmhurst Cemetery.
The family suggests memorials to the American Heart Association in care of Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1112, Guymon, OK 73942.
DANNIE RENDELUK
SALLISAW, Okla. -- Dannie Rendeluk, 65, Vian, Okla., died Monday, Dec. 10, 2001, in Fort Smith, Ark.
He was born Feb. 17, 1936, to Louis and Maggie Rendeluk in Oklahoma City.
He was a plant supervisor at Ralston-Purima.
His hobbies included fishing and hunting.
Survivors include one son, Jeffrey Don Rendeluk, Rogers, Ark.; one daughter, Dana Rendeluk, Vian; one step-son, Larry Bryant, Farmington, N.M.; two step-daughters, Debbie Johnson and Trish Bryant, both of Perryton, Texas; one sister, Julia Hampson, Oakview, Calif.; life-long companion, Glenda Bryant, of the home; and six grandchildren, Jeremy Daniel Rendeluk, Micheal Ryan Rendeluk, Keira Rendeluk, Christopher Rendeluk, Jordan Rendeluk and Jessica Rendeluk; and five step-grandchildren, Austin Johnson, Ryan Johnson, Stewart Johnson, Blake Halliburton and Brandon Bryant.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Shirley (Heard) Rendeluk; three brothers, Henry Rendeluk, Raymond Rendeluk and Leo Rendeluk; and one sister, Pauline Price.
Funeral services
will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Mallory Chapel in Sallisaw with the Father Jeff Polasek presiding.
Burial will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Oklahoma City.
Mallory Funeral Home in Sallisaw is in charge of arrangements.
