FAY (COX) MILBURN
HOOKER, Okla. -- Fay (Cox) Milburn, 79, a longtime Hooker resident, died Saturday, May 26, 2001, at St. Bernardine Medical Center in San Bernardino, Calif.
She was born Aug. 19, 1921, to Thomas Jefferson and Mary Louisa (Beesley) Cox in Stevens County.
She married Vernon Milburn Nov. 17, 1945, in Liberal. He survives.
She attended school in Hugoton and graduated in 1943.
She and her husband moved from Rolla to Hooker in 1973.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Hooker United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.
She was also a member of the American Auxiliary.
Other survivors include one son, Gene Milburn and wife, Jean, Derby; two daughters, Marlyse Milburn, San Bernardino, and Susan Franklin and husband, Les, Liberal; three brothers, Van Cox, Wichita, Roy Cox, Rolla, and Jeff Cox, Missouri City, Texas; one sister, Pearl Lenz, Wichita; five grandchildren, Shannon Milburn, Justin Milburn, Gena Milburn, all of Derby, and Holly Williams and Ryan Franklin, both of Liberal; and one great-granddaughter, Haley Williams.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Eva Mueller; and three brothers, Bur Cox, Guy Cox and Ray Cox.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Hooker United Methodist Church in Hooker with the Rev. Dean Wynn presiding.
Burial will be at 4:30 p.m. Friday at the Hugoton Cemetery in Hugoton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association in care of Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, P.O. Box 745, Hooker, OK 73945.
ROBERT E. BROOKS
CHICKASHA, Okla. -- Robert Eugene Brooks, 76, died Friday, May 18, 2001, in Chickasha.
He was born May 20, 1924, to Elmer and Juanita (Postlewait) Brooks in Liberal.
He married Charlotte Batt March 27, 1954, in Clayton, N.M. She survives.
He had been a resident of Chickasha for almost 41 years.
He was employed at PSO for more than 40 years and retired in 1986.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a member of the Parksview Christian Church.
Other survivors include three daughters, Judith Ann Brooks, Norman, Okla., Nita Jean Howard, Del City, Okla., and Pamela Sue Wilhelm, Fort Worth, Texas; and four grandchildren, Kimberly Ann Rippetoe, Austin Brooks Wilhelm, Tyler Meason Wilhelm and Trenton Avery Wilhelm.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Jean Henderson.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Parkview Christian Church in Chickasha.
Burial will be at the Fairlawn Cemetery in Chickasha under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home in Chickasha.
INES COSTNER
GUYMON, Okla. -- Clara Ines "Fat Mommy" Costner, 100, died Wednesday, May 23, 2001, at Wheatridge Park Care Center in Liberal.
She was born Oct. 15, 1900, in Oblong, Ill.
She married James Melvin Costner May 19, 1918, in Guymon. He preceded her in death.
She moved to Texas County, Okla., in 1916. She had been a longtime resident of Guymon.
She helped her husband farm and cooked for the hired hands.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, where she taught adult ladies Sunday school for many years.
She was also a member of the New Century Club.
Survivors include one son, Johnnie D. Costner and wife, Peggy, Guymon; one daughter, Ruth Fox, Guymon; 14 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 22 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sons, James R. Costner, Joseph L. Costner and Robert Bruce Costner; one daughter, Patricia Mae Wing; two grandsons; and one granddaughter.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church in Guymon with the Revs. Leon Lothman and Don Chase presiding.
Burial will follow at the Elmhurst Cemetery in Guymon.
Memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church building fund in care of Henson-Novak Funeral Home, Box 1306, Guymon, OK 73942. Memorials will also be accepted at the church office.
RUBY E. VOTH
BEAVER, Okla. -- Ruby Evelyn Voth, 85, died Tuesday, May 22, 2001, at the Beaver County Nursing Home in Beaver.
She was born Sept. 20, 1915, to Charley Clay and Carrie Mae (Parker) Campbell in Elmwood, Okla.
She married Clarence A. Voth Sept. 9, 1969. He survives.
She graduated from Beaver High School in 1933.
She retired from the Beaver County Court Clerk's Office in Beaver.
Other survivors include two brothers, Leslie Campbell and William "Bill" Campbell, both of Beaver; and numerous other relatives.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Clark Funeral Service Chapel in Beaver with LaRon Branson and Ron Johnson presiding.
Burial will be at the Capitol View Cemetery in Beaver.
AARON K. HARTNESS
BARTLESVILLE, Okla. -- Aaron Ketcher Hartness, 88, Bartlesville, Okla., died Saturday, May 19, 2001, at the Bartlesville Care Center, Bartlesville, Okla.
He was born Feb. 5, 1913, in Younker, Okla.
He married Emma Ellen Root July 7, 1943, in Chase. She died Aug. 19, 1995.
He then married Darlene Mae Gilbert Towns May 16, 2000. She survives.
He lived in Pawhuska, Okla., for 15 years, Bartlesville for two years, and Hoisington for 61 years.
He was a painting contractor.
Survivors include one son, Mark K. Hartness, Andover; two daughters, Karen S. Ware, Satanta, and Marilyn R. Klassen, Dodge City; three sisters, Emma Campbell, Opal Teshoney and Phillis Pfeifer, all of Bartlesville; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Lloyd and Wilbur Hartness.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Great Bend Cemetery, with the Rev. Dr. Doyle Smith officiating.
Burial will be at Great Bend Cemetery in Great Bend.
Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Bryant-Christians Funeral Home, 1425 Patton Road, Great Bend.

WILLIAM E. HOLLAND
GUYMON, Okla. William Everett Holland, 88, died Friday, May 18, 2001, at his home in Guymon.
He was born April 9, 1913, to William Samuel and Ola Victoria (Isbell) Holland at the family homestead in rural Hooker, Okla.
He married Ovie C. Ralstin July 30, 1938, in Hugoton. She died Feb. 6, 2000.
He attended the Hooker school system and graduated in 1936. He later attended Panhandle A&M College in Goodwell, Okla., and Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Okla. He was a minister at the United Brethren Christian Church Eden Chapel during his two years in Stillwater.
He was a farmer and retired from the City Service Gas Co. after 30-years of service.
He was a founding member of the Straight Christian Church, where he served as Sunday School superintendent for many years. When he moved to Guymon, he moved his church membership to the Guymon First Christian Church.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge, where he served as Exalted Ruler, and was also on the Elks Board of Directors for eight years.
Survivors include three sons, William Eugene Holland and wife, Betty, Olathe, Randy Lee Holland and wife, Renee, Daytona Beach, Fla., and Ross Dean Holland and wife, Carol, Guymon; three daughters, Anna Marie Holland, Houston, Texas, Marilyn Gayle Cross, Bethany, Okla., and Rita Lynn Ellzey and husband, Tom, Guymon; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Dwight Alvin Holland; one brother, Maurice Holland; and one sister, Francis Purcell.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Christian Church in Guymon with the Rev. Don Chase presiding.
Burial will follow at the Elmhurst Cemetery in Guymon.
