ERWIN W. KAUK
LEEDEY, Okla. -- Erwin Wilbur Kauk, 85, died Tuesday, June 20, 2000, at the Great Plains Regional Hospital in Elk City, Okla., following an extended illness.
He was born Dec. 13, 1914, to P.W. "Pete" and Lydia Kauk on the family farm southeast of Leedey.
He attended school at the Eureka School near his home in Leedey.
He married Lorene Nolia Robertson March 18, 1939, in Arapaho, Okla. She survives.
He was a farmer and rancher throughout his lifetime on the family farm.
He was baptized in Christ in 1957 and became a member of the United Methodist Church in Leedey.
He served on several committees in the church.
His hobbies included spending time with his family, hunting, fishing and attending sporting events of his children and grandchildren.
Other survivors include two sons, Gary Kauk and wife, Pat, Liberal, and Terry Kauk and wife, Jana, Leedey; four grandchildren, Tony Kauk and wife, Rhonda, DeeDawn Graham and husband, David, Brock Kauk and wife, Jenny, and Nick Kauk; three great-grandchildren, Tyler, Hayden and Emily; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, "Buddy" Kauk.
Funeral services
were at 2 p.m. today at the United Methodist Church in Leedey.
Burial followed at the New Hermon Cemetery, southeast of Leedey.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Shaw Funeral Home in Vici, Okla.
OLGA ELNADINE BALZER
LARNED -- Olga Elnadine Balzer, 60, died Saturday, June 17, 2000, at her brothers home in Broken Arrow, Okla.
She was born Aug. 4, 1939, to Jacob F. and Olga B. (Friesen) Balzer in Texas County near Hooker, Okla.
She attended Adams' schools and graduated from Adams High School in Adams, Okla.
Her mother was one of the graduating seniors of her class.
She attended Tabor College and graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in English and a minor in history.
Her teaching career began at Lustre Bible Academy in Lustre, Mont. where she taught for three years.
She taught at Larned High School, Larned, for 34 years before retiring in August 1999.
She was a member of the Adams Mennonite Brethren Church, Adams.
She enjoyed baseball, kept score for high school sports and was a sponsor for the cheerleaders at Larned High School.
Her hobbies included reading, embroidery and baking.
Survivors include four brothers, Joelle Balzer and wife, Josephine, Prairieville, La., Ronald Balzer and wife, Hijuana, Broken Arrow, Howard Balzer, Buhler, and Ted Balzer and wife, Janet, McPherson; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her infant brother, Donald Dean Balzer.
Funeral services
will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Mennonite Brethren Church, Adams, with the Rev. Frank Huebert, Fairview, Okla., presiding.
Burial will follow at the Mennonite Brethren Cemetery near Adams under the direction of Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, Hooker.

C.T. "BUSTER" FINNEMAN
BUFFALO, Okla. -- C.T. "Buster" Finneman, 80, died Thursday, June 15, 2000, in Buffalo.

will be at Beach, N.D.
MARK MILTON MAYO
BEAVER, Okla. -- Mark Milton Mayo, 68, died Sunday, June 11, 2000, at his home on his ranch.
He was born Sept. 9, 1931, to Raymond and Nina Cvaniga (Maple) Mayo in Claremore, Okla.
He married Wilma "Billie" June Kunc Dec. 18, 1952, in Stillwater, Okla. She survives.
He graduated from Beaver High School and and went on to receive his bachelor of science degree.
He served in the U.S. military and served in the Korean War.
He was a lifetime resident of Beaver County, Okla. and was a rancher.
He was a member of the Christian Church for over fifty years.
He served on the Forgan School board for 39 years and on the board of directors of the Oklahoma State School Board and was its president in 1991.
Other survivors include two sons, Stephen Mayo, Stillwater, and Randy Mayo, Beaver; one daughter, Meredith LeMaster, Bartlesville, Okla.; his mother, Nina Cvaniga Mayo, Oklahoma City; one sister, Margaret Smith, Dallas; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services
will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Beaver First Christian Church with Roger Neff and Wayne Moore presiding.
Burial will be at the Pioneer Cemetery, under the direction of Clark Funeral Service, Beaver.
RUBY E. PEMBERTON
FORGAN Okla. -- Ruby E. Pemberton, 90, died Monday, June 5, 2000, at Beaver County Memorial Hospital, Beaver, Okla.
She was born Aug. 18, 1909, to Daniel M. and Susan C. (Thomas) Johnson near Floris, Okla.
She married James Pemberton Oct. 24, 1947, in Perryton, Texas.
He died Dec. 31, 1999.
She graduated from the Greenough High School and later attended the Salt City Business College, Hutchinson.
She farmed with her husband for many years before retiring.
She was a member of the Bethel Church of God, Forgan, and the Order of Eastern Star, Turpin.
The chapter later moved to Beaver.
She received her 50-year pin in 1995.
Funeral services
will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Bethel Church of God with the Rev. Stanley Lehnert presiding.
Burial will follow at the Floris Cemetery.
Friends may call until 8 p.m. today at Miller Mortuary.

FORGAN, Okla. -- Ruby E. Pemberton, 90, died Monday, June 5, 2000, at the Beaver County Memorial Hospital in Beaver, Okla.

Friends may call from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Miller Mortuary.
