George O. Cole
ARCADE, N.Y. -- Services for George O. Cole, 88, of Delevan, N.Y., will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 18, 2004, in the W. D. Davis Funeral Home, 358 W. Main, Arcade, N.Y. Interment will follow in Arcade Rural Cemetery, Arcade, N.Y., under the direction of W.S. Dvid Inc. Funeral Home. Visitation will take place from 2-4 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 18, at the funeral home.
George O. Cole was born May 26, 1916, to George and Anna Julia (Bolen) Cole, in McKeesport, Pa., and he died Thursday, Sept. 9, 2004, at Bertrand-Chaffee Hospital, Springville, N.Y.
George was a self-employed architectural designer, having designed many churches, houses and other buildings. He married Pauline Jackson on March 5, 1938. He lived in Tahlequah from 1969-'90. George attended the Crossroads Church of the Nazarene in Arcade, N.Y.
George was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mary Jones and Ermald Cook; three brothers, Clifford, Wilson and Paul Cole; and two grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Pauline, of the home; four children, David W. Cole of Tulsa, Elaine Pijan and husband Brett of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Frances Haas and husband Marty of Columbia, Conn., and George Cole and wife Linda of Arcade, N.Y.; a brother, Gilbert "Bud" Cole of California; sisters, Alice Crookham of California, Anna Mildred Agee and husband Fred of Harrison, Ark., Grace Baughman and husband Bill of Canton, Ohio, and July Hannah and husband Billy of Ohio; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Faye Magee
Services for Faye Magee will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2004, at Reed-Culver Chapel, with Rev. Maxie Thompson officiating. Interment will follow at Hendricks Cemetery under the direction of Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will include Steve Jeffery, Kenny Harris, Bobby Fairchild, Ricky Moore, Titus Blanket, Virgil Tyer, Gary Foster and Dal Squyres. Honorary Pallbearers will include James Duffield, Gary Hamby, Lonnie Dobson and George Goodnight.
Faye Magee passed from this life Thursday, Sept. 9, 2004, in Tulsa at the age of 72 years. She was born April 3, 1932, in Tahlequah to Tom and Mayme (Phillips) Adkisson.
Faye was preceded in death by her parents; two children, Paula Faye Magee and Billy Dean Callaway, and four siblings, Clarence Adkisson, Lorene Heath, Irene Adkisson and Callie Blakemore.
She is survived by her husband, Herbert; 5 sons, Jerry Callaway (Katherine), Robert Callaway, Bobby Callaway (Terri), Kelly Callaway (Stephanie), and Timmy Callaway (Cathy); two daughters: Ann Granger (Tom), and Julie Magee (Frank Alan Teague); one sister: Gladys Wilcox; one brother, Jake Adkisson (Julia); 14 grandchildren, Robert Lee Moore, Greg Moore, Crystal Moore, Chrissie Callaway, James Callaway, Bobby J. Callaway, Mickey Graham, Halie Callaway, Casi-Lyn Foster, Heath Callaway, Kelly Joe Callaway, Brandon Davis, Jerri Ann Callaway and Wyatt Ford.

Fred Wilson
FORT GIBSON -- Private family services with military honors for Fred Wilson were held Friday, Sept. 10, 2004, at Fort Gibson National Cemetery, with Rev. Jack Perkins officiating. Burial followed under the direction of Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
Fred Wilson was born Sept. 19, 1917, in Jefferson, Beaver County, Oklahoma, to William and Ada (Jacobson) Wilson. He passed from this life Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2004 in Tahlequah. Fred served his country as a solider in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Fred is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Grace (Kupsick) Wilson.
Survivors include his sons, Stormy Wilson, James Lee Wilson and Jon Bruce Wilson; and five grandchildren.

Colonel James Ogletree
FORT GIBSON -- Graveside services for Colonel James Ogletree will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 24, 2004, at Fort Gibson National Cemetery. Full military honors will be provided by the Honor Guard of Fort Sill Army Base. Arrangements are under the direction of Reed-Culver Funeral Home of Tahlequah.
James Dupree Olgetree was born Oct. 1, 1905, in New Braunfels, Texas, to parents Benjamin O'Banion Ogletree and Ella Gruene Ogletree. Colonel Ogletree's schooling included Thornhill Elementary School in Gruene, Texas; and New Braunfels High School, New Braunfels, Texas, graduating in 1921. Graduating from Texas A & M University in 1925 as a member of the first graduating Cadet Corps class at Texas A & M, Colonel Ogletree received his second lieutenant commission in the field artillery on Oct. 16, 1927.
Employed in 1933 by the Civilian Conservation Corps and U.S. Department of Agriculture in Colorado, Texas and Oklahoma, prior to a call to active duty to Fort Sill on Aug. 13, 1941, Colonel Ogletree's first assignment was to post quartermaster and the Field Artillery Replacement Center.
On Jan. 17, 1937 in Van Buren, Ark., Colonel Ogletree married Leona Thomason of Tahlequah and Muskogee. Colonel Ogletree's assignment to the 71st Infantry Division Artillery at Fort Benning, Ga., was followed by assignment as field artillery battery commander and battalion commander in the 7th and 3rd Armies in the European theater of operations. Integrated into the regular Army in 1947, Colonel Ogletree served with the Army of Occupation in Germany before being reassigned to Fort Hood, Texas. Assignment to the Philippine Islands with the 2nd Armor Division was followed by assignment to Japan with the 24th Division Artillery. Following assignment to Fort Lee, Va., for an advanced quartermaster course, Colonel Ogletree was assigned a second time to Germany.
Returning to the United States in May 1957, Colonel Ogletree was assigned to Fort Worth General Depot until his retirement on July 31, 1958.
Colonel Ogletree was qualified to wear the Armed Forces Reserve Medal, American Campaign Medal, Bronze Star Medal, American Defense Service Medal - Army Commendation Ribbon with Medal Pendant, American Theater Ribbon, European Theater Ribbon with two battle stars, World War II Victory Ribbon, Army of Occupation Medal with Germany Clasp, Army Commendation Ribbon with Medal Pendant, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal and National Defense Ribbon.
Colonel Ogletree enjoyed membership in the National CCC Alumni, the 24th Infantry Division Association, The Retired Officers Association, Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States Association, Disabled American Veterans Association, First Presbyterian Church of Tahlequah, Texas A & M University Alumni Association and Texas A & M Former Student Association.
Preceding Colonel Ogletree in death was his brother, Henry Ogletree in 1921; his father Benjamin O'Banion Ogletree; his mother, Ella Gruene Ogletree in 1968; and his wife of 47 years, Leona Thomason Ogletree in 1984.
Survivors include Kyle Gruene and family, New Braunfels, Texas; Tooda Adams and family, New Braunfels, Texas; Jon Cobb and family, Dallas, Texas; Trish Wilson and family, San Angelo Texas; Willis Allen and family, Tulsa; Bill and Fredabeth Avant and family, Memphis, Tenn.; Barbara Hargis, Tahlequah; Jane James and family, Lincoln, Neb.; J.C. Hargis and family, Gladewater, Texas; Ron and Carolyne Stroman and family, Midland, Texas; Laura Taylor and family, Chicago, Ill.; and private caregivers, Wanda Boston, Amanda Crittenden, Dawn Pettay, Je Nea Ray and Barbara McMichael.
The family extends deep appreciation and gratitude to Dr. Deborah Mattox and to the staff of Hometown Hospice of Muskogee for their constant care and attention to Colonel Ogletree. Their presence and support was always a reassuring source of strength and love.

Boyd Steveson
FORT GIBSON -- Services for Boyd Steveson will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Sept. 24, 2004, at the new Church of Christ in Fort Gibson, with Mr. Budo Perry and Pastor Tod Turner from Community Gospel Center officiating. Grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers. Burial will be in Citizen's Cemetery under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Fort Gibson.
Boyd Steveson was born Dec. 18, 1922, in Cherokee County, the son of B. Dawson and Oma (Timbrook) Steveson. A lifetime Oklahoma resident, Boyd graduated from Tahlequah High School and attended Northeastern State University. On Sept. 16, 1955, he married Nancy Keeling in Hernando, Miss.
Boyd started Steveson's LP Gas 52 years ago and still owned the wholesale company that supplies propane to locations in Northeastern Oklahoma. He helped obtain a charter for Fort Gibson State Bank in 1973 and served and chairman of the board until 1999. He was a lifelong Democrat who has worked in the ranks of the Democratic Party from precinct chairman to and including state chairman. He also served as president of the League of Young Democrats.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy (Keeling) Steveson of the home; sons, Ben and wife, Karrel, of Fort Gibson; Don and wife, Linda, of Norman; daughter, Susan Conkling and husband Leon of Shawnee; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Leon and Joyce Steveson of Fort Gibson; and many other relatives and friends.

Eric Tidwell
STILWELL -- Graveside services for Eric Tidwell were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2004, at Clear Springs Cemetery, with Brother Charles Duvall, Brother Ellis Foster and Brother Greg Hall officiating. Burial was under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Stiwell.
Pallbearers were Michael Lacy, Johnson Proctor, David Tidwell, Edward Sitton Jr., Kenneth Winchester, John Ramirez, Vincent Scraper and R.J. Tidwell. Those serving as flower girls were Chloe Davis, Jo Tidwell, Kay "Tidwell" Aguilar, Jeanie Tidwell, Starla Tidwell, Raven Owl, Vena Langford, Jada Wright, Candice Jones and Juanita Smith.
Millard Eric Tidwell was born Aug. 8, 1949, in Tahlequah, and passed away Friday, Sept. 17, 2004, in Fayetteville, Ark.
Shortly after graduation from Cave Springs High School, Eric left for Vietnam. He was very proud of the years he spent in service to our country. After his return, he attended Northeastern State University. Mary Elizabeth "Ramirez" Lacy, her son Michael Lacy and his daughter, Adrianna, spent many happy years together.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Millard and Virginia "Smith" Tidwell; and three brothers, Robert Osborn, Murel Osborn and Edward Reece Sitton. His paternal grandparents were Wasp Adair and Lucy Hummingbird Adair. His maternal grandparents were Eli Smith and Mary Ester "Hill" Smith.
Eric is survived by his daughter, Stacy Catron and her two children, Chloe and Will of Stilwell; brothers, Gerald Osborn of Park Hill, William Tidwell of Pueblo, Colo., Bob Tidwell of Stilwell, Jackie Tidwell of Stilwell, Roy Tidwell of Stilwell, Jess Tidwell of Stilwell, Estel Tidwell of Park Hill, and R. Ferris Tidwell of Stilwell; one sister, Mary Tidwell of Stilwell; as well as a multitude of nieces nephews, cousins and loved ones.
