John Harmon Hood
TAHLEQUAH -- Services for John Harmon Hood, 86, of Tahlequah will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 2, at the South College Church of Christ. Officiating will be Brother Lloyd Coppedge. Serving as pallbearers will be his grandsons and grandsons-in-law, Darrell Hood, Jerrod Hood, Wesley Hood, Paul Havenar, Phillip Radomski, Shawn Phillips and Dale Mullins. Interment
will follow in the Tahlequah City Cemetery under the care of Green Country Funeral Home.
John was born June 16, 1918, the son of Louis and L. Marie Ackerman Hood in Wade, Okla. He passed from this life on Thursday, July 29, 2004, at his home in Tahlequah. Following graduation from Hoffman High School, he served in the United States Army during WWII. He served 33 months overseas in the combat Engineers. Upon returning home he married Wilma Jean Farrell on Nov. 7, 1944.
They made their home in Okmulgee County, where they farmed until 1962, when they moved to Tahlequah, where they raised cattle. John also worked at NSU until he retired. John was a member of the Church of Christ.
Preceding John in death are his parents, and a sister Helena Chadwick. Surviving John is Jeah Hood, his wife of 59 happy years. He is also survived by three sons, Tommy and his wife Deidra of Tahleuqah, Jerry and his wife Margaret of Keys, and Johnny also of Tahleuqah; a daughter, Donna Fogle and her husband Jack of Stillwater; 10 grandchildren, Jennifer and Paul Havenar, Welsey and Carlinda Hood, Darrell and Lelsie Hood, Jerrod and Robyn Hood, Kaci Hood, Angela Hood, Nicole Davis, Susie and Phillip Radomski, Christy and Dale Mullins, and Becky and Shawn Phillips; 13 great-grandchildren with the 14th due in October; two sisters, Lorene Casselman of Morris, and Annalee Hultman of Bartlesville; a brother, Louis Hood of Jenks; and a host of relatives, friends, and loved ones.

Dawson "Ray" Steveson
1944-2004
FORT GIBSON -- Services for Dawson "Ray" Steveson, 60, of Fort Gibson, were held at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, July 31, 2004, at Citizens Cemetery, with lifelong friend, Leonard David White officiating. Pallbearers were Raymond Taylor, Frank Ross, Wayne Church, Benny Elkins, Larry Church, Carl Noe Jr. and Buck Torix. Burial was under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Fort Gibson.
Ray was born March 24, 1944, in Muskogee, the son of Leon and Jean (Cunningham) Steveson, and died Thursday, July 29, 2004, at home. He was a lifelong resident of Fort Gibson, attending and graduating from Fort Gibson Schools. He later married Martha Dayton in Fort Gibson. For 13 years, he was the Fort Gibson Tag Agent and prior to that he was the former owner of the Tiger Drive-In in Tahlequah. He loved the Lord and his family, who were the light of his life. He attended Community Gospel Center.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Steveson of the home; a daughter, Radell Jean Steveson of the home; two sons, Barry Dawson Steveson of Tahlequah, and Ronald Ray Steveson of McAlester; his father and stepmother, Leon and Joyce Steveson of Fort Gibson; two sisters, Carol Westerman and husband Charlie of Fort Gibson, and Pat Longan of Fort Gibson; two brothers, Clue Anderson and wife Lisa of Keefeton and David Steveson and wife Kathy of Broken Arrow; and numerous nephews, nieces and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Anderson; his grandmother, Will Cunningham; his grandfather, Ray Cunningham; and grandparents D.B. and Oma Steveson.

Genanna Andrade
TAHLEQUAH -- Services for Genanna Andrade will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 7, 2004, at Reed-Culver Funeral Home. Interment
will follow at Barber Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Reed-Culver Funeral Home of Tahlequah.
Genanna Andrade passed from this life Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2004, in Tulsa, at the age of 56. She was born Dec. 22, 1947, in Barber, to Watie Ridge Sr. and Helen (Holmes) Ridge. She was a retired seamstress for the Cherokee Nation.
Surviving Genanna is her husband, Alejandro Andrade; her daughter, Angela Lynn Andrade; a sister, Norma Jimerson; and four brothers: Watie Ridge Jr., Charles Ridge, Eddie Ridge and Tim Ridge.
Genanna was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Tonya Andrade.

Jewell (Davis) Willis
TAHLEQUAH -- Services for Jewell (Davis) Willis will be held at 10 a.m, Friday, Aug. 6, 2004, at Reed-Culver Chapel with Dr. Lloyd Coppedge and David Deffenbaugh officiating. Burial will follow at Tahlequah City Cemetery under the direction of Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 5, 2004, at Reed-Culver Funeral Home in Tahlequah.
Pallbearers include Chris Adams, Brian Willis, James Willis, Bart Willis, Kevin Willis, Gary Caffey, Michael Willis and Michael Ary. Honorary pallbearers include Wayne Sharp and Todd Sharp, and Kacey and Kurt Koerwitz.
Jewell (Davis) Willis was born Sept. 22, 1921, in Braggs, to Charles C. and Alice "Granny" (Dawes) Davis. She went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2004, at the age of 82.
Jewell was a member of Tahlequah South College Church of Christ. Jewell's favorite pastimes were studying the Bible, sewing, fishing and working on her genealogy. The family would like to thank the staff of Parks Edge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Tulsa and Grace Hospice of Tulsa for their loving care.
Jewell was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bennett Preston Willis; her brother, Jack Davis; and her sister, Pauline Vance.
She is survived by her seven children, Litha Jane Koerwitz of Las Vegas, Nev., Linda Terry of Tulsa, Wanda Sue Collins of Hulbert, Richie Ellen Littlefield of Broken Arrow, Bennett Tom Willis of Fort Gibson, Debbie Ary of Broken Arrow, and Mike Willis of Wagoner; 23 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; a sister Billie Jo Alesso of San Jose, Calif.; and a brother, Veraman Davis of Tahlequah.

Randy Alston
TAHLEQUAH -- Memorial services for Randel "Randy" Alston will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2004, at Reed-Culver Funeral Home with Rev. Berniel Rogers officiating.
Randel "Randy" Alston was born Oct. 8, 1953, in Crawford County, Ark., to Edward and Verna (Morrell) Alston. He passed from this life Sunday, Aug. 1, 2004, in Tahlequah, at the age of 50 years.
Randy is survived by his mother Verna Alston; a sister, Carolyn Somner; three brothers, Ronnie, Truman and Kenny Alston; nine nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Tina Cherie Watson
TAHLEQUAH - Tina Cherie Watson was born July 7, 1957 in Salina, Kansas to Granville Richard and Eva Lynn (Patrick) Knight. She passed from this life on Monday, Aug. 2, 2004 in Tahlequah at the age of 47 years.
Tina is survived by her mother, Eva Knight; her daughter, Crystal Wiser; her sons, Richard Alan Fisher and Datin Dale Watson, Jr.; her sister, Dana Knight; her brother, David A. Knight; and four grandchildren, Faith Lynn, Joel Brett, Hayden Michael and Delsie Marie.
Services will be 2 p.m., Monday, Aug. 9, 2004 at Reed-Culver Chapel with Rev. Donald Nichols officiating. Burial will follow at Caney Cemetery under the direction of Reed-Culver Funeral Home. Pallbearers will include Eric M. Wiser, Clinton Montgomery, Bill Martin, Mark Montgomery, Harold Keys and Chris Thompson.

Fred Foster Dial
TAHLEQUAH -- Services for Fred Foster Dial will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, Aug. 9, 2004, in the Reed-Culver Chapel with Brother Charles Duvall and Brother Leroy Reid officiating. Interment
will follow in the Bunch Cemetery.
Fred Foster Dial, son of John Butler and Hazel Joyce (Vertrees) Dial, was born June 10, 1945, in Fort Smith, Ark., and departed this life on Aug. 5, 2004, at his home in the Caney Ridge Community, at the age of 59 years, 1 month and 25 days.
He was married to Alene Girdner on Jan. 22, 1982, in Fayetteville, Ark. Fred worked for the Local Union 344 in Oklahoma City as a welder and pipe fitter for many years before retirement nearly five years ago. He was also a trustee of the Tahlequah Elks Lodge No. 2601, and a 32nd Degree member of the Guthrie Scottish Rite.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; one brother, John Dial Jr.; and two brothers-in-law, Ben Girdner and Frank Girdner.
He is survived by a very loving family that includes his wife of over 22 years, Alene Dial of the home; one daughter, Connie Jane Christie of Welling; one son, Freddie Wayne Massey; two grandchildren, Makala Fisher and husband Adam of Tahlequah, and Jessie Wayne Kirk of Welling; one sister, Sherry Willis of Macon, Ga.; four sisters-in-law, Mary Parks and husband Kenneth of Tahlequah, Sue Knight and husband William of Stilwell, Joyce McKee and husband Bill of Childers, Texas, and Glenna Girdner of Sallisaw; two brothers-in-law, Bryan Girdner and Bill Girdner, both of Welling; a very close and special niece, Tonya Tidwell and family of Stilwell; several other very special nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
