Leslie "Les" Vance III
TAHLEQUAH -- Services for Leslie "Les" Vance III will be held at noon, Friday, June 4, 2004, at Reed-Culver Chapel, with Sister Paulette Gower officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, under the direction of the Reed-Culver Funeral Home of Tahlequah.
Pallbearers will include Les Dale Vance, Jimmy Sams, Eddie Sams, Bradley Shade, Ronnie McCoy and Tommy McCoy. Honorary pallbearers will be Jermyn Vann and Carl Dean Hudson.
Leslie Vance III was born on July 2, 1960, in Tulsa, to Leslie Jr. and Virginia (Taft) Vance. He passed from this life on June 1, 2004, in Tahlequah, at the age of 43 years. Leslie was a long-haul truck driver, and attended the Prayer House Church.
His father Leslie Vance Jr. precedes him in death.
Leslie leaves behind his wife Teresa (Sams) Vance of the home; three daughters, Selisha Vance, Kelli Pettit and Billie Johnson; a son, Leslie Dale Vance; his mother Virginia Jobe and husband Chester of Fort Gibson; a sister, Ladye Elizabeth Phillips and husband Ralph; a nephew, Lance Phillips; his aunt, Ladye Elizabeth Vance White; sisters-in-law, Linda McKee and Ben Shearar, and Peggy Sams; his father-in-law, Jim Sams; two brothers-in-law, Jimmy Sams and Eddie Sams; and three grandchildren, Anthony, Raymond and Martin.

Helmut Curt Schillinger
TAHLEQUAH -- Graveside services for Helmut Curt (H.C. to his friends) Schillinger, 92, will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, May 28, 2004, in the Tahlequah City Cemetery, with Rev. Don Queen of Immanuel Baptist Church of Tulsa officiating. Services are under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Tahlequah.
Helmut "Uncle Mut" Schillinger was born one of six children in Lepeig, Germany, to Adolph and Margaretha Clara (Viertel) Schillinger on July 21, 1912, and passed from this life on May 25, 2004, in Tulsa.
When H.C. had finished school, he owned and operated the Freeport Manufacturing Corporation in Freeport, Texas, until his retirement in the early 1970s. In June of 1953, H.C. married his wife, Norma Alma Stella Potthast. Norma preceded him in death in 1981.
In 1982, H.C. moved to the Salina area. When he wasn't working, H.C. loved to go fishing, often accompanied by his brother. H.C. also appreciated sitting and visiting with family and friends, and enjoyed chewing on a good cigar. He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church.
H.C. is preceded in death by both of his parents; his wife, Norma; and three brothers, Alfred, Willy and Herbert Schillinger.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory two sisters, Margaret Johnson, and Martha Rogers and husband Gene, all of Tulsa; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of friends and loved ones.

Joseph "Ryan" Tillison
OLIVE BRANCH, Miss. -- Services for Joseph "Ryan" Tillison, 18, of Nesbit, Miss., were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 1, at Longview Heights Baptist Church in Olive Branch, Miss., under the direction of Twin Oaks Funeral Home of Southaven, Miss.
Ryan was a courtesy clerk for Kroger in Olive Branch. He would have been a senior at Southaven High School in the fall.
Ryan is survived by his mother, Brenda Tillison, and stepfather Rick Dusenbury, both of Nesbit, Miss.; father and stepmother, Joe and Sharon Tillison of Oceanside, Calif; a sister, Lindsey Tillison of Nesbit, Miss.; a stepsister, Brittney Pastine of Lakewood, Colo.; a stepbrother, Justin Pastine of Lakewood, Colo.; and grandparents, Larry and Shirley Streitmatter of Edmond, and John Tillison of Tahlequah.

Amy Nichole Torix
TAHLEQUAH -- Services for Amy Nichole Torix will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, June 28, 2004, at Reed-Culver Chapel, with Rick Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Pettit Cemetery under the direction of Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will include Carl E. Pagni, Adam A. Jones, Tyler S. Green, Charles E. Neefe, Gregory L. Olson and Adam C. Hodgin.
Amy Nichole Torix was born on March 29, 1985, in Tahlequah. She entered into rest on June 20, 2004, in Washoe County, Nev., at the age of 19 years. Amy spent her youth in the Tahlequah and Fort Gibson area before moving with her family to Reno, Nev. in the seventh grade.
She graduated from Reno High School, and was involved in ROTC there until graduation. Amy was a clerk for Sears and was an avid auto racer.
Amy is survived by her mother, Kelly (Moydell) St. Clair and husband Ron; her father, Jeff Torix and wife Paula; her fiancée, Andrew Frey; a sister, Shanda; a brother Justin; a niece Krissie Torix; her grandparents, Skeet Torix and wife Marie, Edna Curry and husband Mike, Allen and Linda Mitchell, Elva Garland, Ron St. Clair and wife Teresa, and Tom Moydell and wife Lucille; great-grandparents, Susan Mitchell and Viola Carey; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Rosella Berry
PARK HILL -- Services for Rosella Berry, 63, of Park Hill were held at 11 a.m., Friday, June 11, 2004, in the Green Country Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed at 3 p.m. in the Stringtown Cemetery, Stringtown.
Rosella was born Dec. 19, 1940, in Oklahoma City, the daughter of Mrs. Grace and Mr. Houghland. She passed from this life on June 8, 2008, at Tahlequah.
Rosie is survived by her husband, Bob Berry of the home; her mother, Grace Isbell of Tahlequah; children, Bill Richardson and his wife Dorothy of Oklahoma City, Lynn Gunn and her husband Bob of Topeka, Kan., Irene Loman and her husband Darrel of McCloud, Nancy Rogers of Ruidoso, N.M., Leon Cavola, of Oklahoma City, and Loretta Baird and her husband Brett, also of Oklahoma City; a sister, Darlene Knight of Colgate; brother Ross Houghland of Las Vegas, Nev.; stepchildren, Sheila Standlee and husband Tommy of McCloud, Randy Berry and his wife Erin of Fritch, Texas, Brendy Hammons of Tecumseh, Cindy Ragsdale of Midwest City, Greg Berry and his wife Sandra of Welston, and Cliff Berry and his wife Kim of Jones; a special nurse at Tahlequah City Hospital, Stacy Breuklander; and a host of other relatives, friends and loved ones.
Rosie was a special friend to all she met.

Pearl Mae Moore
TAHLEQUAH -- Services for Pearl Mae Moore will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 8, 2004, at Calvary Assembly of God Church, with Arlis Moon officiating. Burial will follow at Tahlequah City Cemetery under direction of Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Perey Nodine, J.W. Gritts, Wesley Hauk, Arnold McGee, Garland McMurtery and Dean Jackson. Honorary pallbearer will be Charles York.
Pearl Mae Moore was born on Jan. 3, 1907, in Delaney, Ark. to Frank Timothy and Essie Edna (Mitchell) Caine. She passed from this life on Thursday, July 1, 2004, in Rancho Mirage, Calif., at the age of 97 years. Pearl came to Oklahoma in 1933. She received, from Northeastern State University, a bachelor of science degree in 1936 and a master's degree in education in 1956. She taught school before marrying Tony Moore on Dec. 16, 1944.
Pearl was a charter member of the Calvary Assembly of God Church, and worked for the Department of Human Services for 20 years before retiring. She then became a full-time seamstress. One of Pearl's greatest joys was working with youth groups and teaching Sunday school classes.
Pearl is preceded in death by her husband Tony, her parents, three sisters, two brothers, and two infant brothers.
She is survived by her sons, Carroll Moore and Donnie Moore; five grandchildren, Christine, Catherine, Jason, David and Kevin Moore; one great-granddaughter, Jade Valledares; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
