BIDDLE Service for Ronald Thomas Biddle, 48, will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at DUNBAR FUNERAL HOME, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo, S.C., where visitation will be Sunday 6-8 p.m. Mr. Biddle died Tuesday, April 24, 2001. Born in Columbus, Oh., he was a son of Betty Corwin Biddle and the late Chester William Biddle. Surviving are his wife, Sandra Branch Biddle; sons, Matt, Scott and Brett Biddle; his mother of Westerville, Oh.; brothers, Mike Biddle of Columbus, Oh. and Jeff Biddle of Clermont, Fla.; sister, Carol Christenson of Westerville, Oh.
BROWN Hazel Weatherly Brown, age 84, of Upper Arlington, died Wednesday, April 25, 2001 at Mount Carmel Medical Center. She retired as Director of Teacher Placement in 1982 and was an instructor in the Department of Education at The Ohio State University following 30 years of service. Previously, she was an English teacher in Ark. for 15 years. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, L. Carlton Brown; daughter and son-in-law, Jo Carol and James E. Porter of Fairfax Station, VA.; brother and sister-in-law, Joseph E. Jr. and Margie Weatherly of Jackson, MS.; several nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Joseph E. Sr. and Grace E. (Lancaster) Weatherly and also preceded in death by her brother Thomas L. Weatherly. She graduated from State Teachers College in Conway, AR and received a Master's Degree from The Ohio State University. She was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha; Twig # 10, Children's Hospital; Ohio Division of National Education Association and Ohio Education Association. She was a member of The American Association for Employment in Education, (formerly known as ASCUS) and she was the founder of Ohio ASCUS and co-founder of Great Lakes ASCUS. The State Association award given each year for best Placement Director is the "Hazel Brown Award". CALLICOAT Emmett E. Callicoat, age 78, of Johnstown, OH, formerly of New Albany, on Wednesday April 25, 2001 at Mt. Carmel East. Retired 1989 after 37 years as a Tool and Die Maker for Rockwell International. Former owner of E&D Market of New Albany for 27 years. Veteran U.S. Army WW II. Member New Albany Lions Club since 1974. Preceded in death by parents W.O. and Luetta Callicoat, brothers Austin, Oscar and John Robert Callicoat, sister Kathleen Maggiorre, granddaughter Amy NgDung. CLARK Margaret "Margie" Emma Clark, age 79, Tuesday, April 24, 2001 at Edgewood Manor Nursing Home, Westerville, Oh. Born May 17, 1921 in Nelsonville, Oh. to the late William and Mary Jacobs. Member of St.James the Less Catholic Church. Former resident of Claremont Retirement Center, where she was a member of the residence council. Preceded in death by husband Robert H. Clark, January 18, 1988. Loving mother of Robert D. (Linda) Clark, Sharon M. (Robert) Dotson and John T. CLIFFORD Beverley C. Clifford, died on April 24, 2001. She is survived by 3 children, Leah Whitman, Andy Clifford and Susan Whaley; 2 sons-in-law, James Whaley and Alan Whitman; 4 grandchildren, Brent Whaley, Nick Whaley, Jaimie Whaley and Caroline Whitman; longtime friend, Joseph Hickson; step-mother, Dorothy Cook; sisters, Louise Sweitzer, Audrey Fellows, Sally Whalen and Brenda Rounds and brothers-in-law, Charles Sweitzer, Gary Fellows, Jack Whalen and David Rounds. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and their children. She was born January 15, 1929. Graduated from Syracuse University in 1941 and earned her M.S.W. from O.S.U. in 1975. She held a distinguished career in the social work community in Columbus, Oh., first working for the Franklin County Mental Health and Retardation Board and later as the Executive Director of the Epilepsy Association of Central Ohio from 1980 until 1992. She won the Social Worker of the Year Award in 1992. She was a person to be admired for her dedication to her family and her contributions to her profession. She waged a heroic 25 year battle with Multiple Sclerosis. A memorial service will be held at OHIO CREMATION AND MEMORIAL SOCIETY/RODMAN FUNERAL SERVICE, 5464 N.
